"It is a vast criminal syndicate.... its influence felt on every country from the Middle East and Far East. Many would say that this group has existed for hundreds of years, and embedded itself in the very fiber of the world but it was only thanks to a person that this group could finally join together into a greater force that could challenge even the Mafusas. The resources at its disposal are almost limitless. The soldiers under its command number in the tens of thousands. The ignorant even call it the most powerful criminal force while the Mafusa are declared more as "terrorists" instead of criminals."
Sephiria Arks KnightWalker

World Serpent, also known as OuroborosThe Snake That Devours the World and Black Lizards, is an underground syndicate that operate from the Japanese town, Tenguu City controlling virtually the entire nation from the shadows. Due to their influence in the world as well as in the underworld of Japan, South America, Europe and China, they are the eternal rivals of Mafusa Sovereignty that is secretely controlled by Revelation of Qliphoth while the World Serpent is directly connected with the New World Order and Orácion Imperium. They are a major antagonistic faction in LOTM: Sword of Kings, being introduced as the secondary overall villainous force of LOTM: Sword of Kings AA - Raizen School Arc (Reboot), the official reboot of LOTM: Sword of Kings AA - Raizen School Arc where they appears as the main antagonists of The War Begins Arc.

The World Serpent held a massive amount of reach and influence, extending its tendrils of corruption deep in the various earthling governments and even had notorious base in Mars at the time of 2032 when humankind had already colonized the planet. It was infamous for its involvement in piracy and smuggling. But smuggling was just the tip of the iceberg of the planet-wide organization. It was involved in every known type of illegal activity; its information networks surpassed even the accuracy and scope of Global Pact Defense. The World Serpent have so much influence within the extremely-important Tenguu City's underground that in all criminal activity of any consequence, they are either a part of it or they get a piece of it. While based in Japan like Mafusa Sov., the organization also extends its power into Godom Empire, no doubt profiting from the slave trade that still exists legally as well as the black dust trade that is slowly making its way into the markets there.

The resources available to World Serpent rivaled those belonging to a large national army, including foot soldiers and had an army large enough to engaged in a bloody war with Mafusa Sov. that an armada large enough to take control of a third-world country. The criminal organization is divided into eight departments: slave trafficking, assassinations, smuggling, larceny, drug trade, security, banking, and gambling. While the organization is united by a common interest in ruling the Earth and Mars' underworld, each of the department heads does not look out for their colleagues' interests and welfare but merely use each other as a way to promote their own power within the World Serpent. However, their main business is more drug dealing instead of all mentioned above.

While the Mafusa Sov. always served as the main threat to the main heroine, Katarina Tirial Couteau, the World Serpent was created with the sole purpose of being a personal threat to La Folia Rihavein who has the name of her family affiliated to the criminal organizations.

History[]

Background[]

Before reorganizing into a larger criminal enterprise, the forerunners of World Serpent were a band of ruthless mercenaries who traveled from planet to planet during the early centuries of Medieval Ages in Europe and Asia, seizing the resources they coveted or needed while brutalizing the natives into complying. One such country was the Egypt, which possessed a resource that they desired. After several raids on the African countries, the natives rose up against them, refusing to comply anymore. As punishment for their defiance, the mercenaries cut out the tongues of every single man, woman and child they could find.

The atomic bomb of Hiroshima, the trigger for the rise of the Black Lizards

The group continued active for centuries but their activities ceased for decades and they little by little forgotten by history as they reduced themselves ot mere drug dealers and illegal companies of research and development of drugs.

However, after the Sacking of Tenguu City in 1945 when the US Army destroyed Nagasaki and Hiroshima with the first atomic bombs ever produced, Tenguu City soon fell into chaos and rioting, overwhelming the already stretched thin Tenn Security Force police officers. Taking advantage of the situation, several prominent gangsters joined together and began seizing control of neighborhoods in the lower levels of Tenguu City and its nearby regions. With this, in reference to the gangsters, citizens of the lower levels coined the phrase "better a black lizard than none" and the Black Lizards crime syndicate were once again active but this time they acted more like militias protecting the population in exchange of "goods" and "services".

The Black Lizards quickly carved out a territory for itself and developed spice and weapons trafficking operations. Though their advance to claim more sectors was halted by the Japanese Imperial Army, the rioting and looting never stopped within their own territory. In the following years of the Cold War, the Black Lizards' influence stretched beyond Tenguu City and the gang became a national criminal syndicate in Japan before expanding their influence to Korea where they offered supplies to the forces of South Korea that were engaging a bloody war against the North Korea that was dominated by Soviet Union's communist ideology; this, however, greatly expanded the wealth of the organization.

The new Japanese regime soon came to realize the full situation and the local police forces such as the Special Tactical Unit began actively fighting back to regain the sectors under the Black Lizards' control. It was during this time that the Japanese Strategic Information Service began joint operations with the militias and Japanese Imperia Military to counter the Black Lizards. Around this time, the syndicate began acquiring materials to create a disruptor rifles. Even so, the program failed and the Black Lizards, after waging a war that cost the lives of more than 10,000 soldiers, lost the war and were nearly wiped out.

The unnamed twin sister of Eckidina KnightWalker, one of Theresa's copycats

In 2027, a girl under the name of Theresa KnightWalker traveled to Tenguu City. There, Theresa begins to target an organization led by neo-Nazi leaders, the Black Lizards that saw who she really was and believe that she will become the next Adolf Hitler, immediately calling the attention of the also neo-Nazi Rihavein Royal Family that had great influence in the region.

When the girl was nowhere to be found, the Black Lizards, in the hopes of rising to glory once again started to use Theresa's most fanatics followers to copycat her so they could pose as the real Theresa and bring the masses back to the front door of the Black Lizards. Needless to say, the plan actually worked and more than 5 women imitated Theresa KnightWalker, posing as a charismatic and extremely intelligent leaders who would bring the Black Lizards, now known as "World Serpent", back to their old days of glory.

Trivia[]

  • The initial concept for organization had their names just as "Black Lizards", however, with even more rework happening in the Reboot version of the story, the Black Lizards were renamed to "World Serpent", as well as receiving even more powerful influence than just being a small criminal group that would serve for almost zero purpose to the story.
  • The organization has more "Rihaveins" than one other faction appearing in the story of CIS Productions since the group serves more as a direct threat to La Folia Rihavein while the Mafusa always served as a personal and direct threat to Katarina Tirial Couteau.
