"Welcome to the bloody First. You're a long way from Texas, farmboy." - William Pierson
Technical Sergeant William Pierson is the tritagonist of Call of Duty: WWII.
He is portrayed by Josh Duhamel.
Pierson is a member of the 1st Infantry Division, originally as a Second Lieutenant. He, Joseph Turner, and Colonel Davis participated in the Battle of Kasserine Pass. When his squad was ordered to retreat, Pierson disobeyed due to many of his men remaining in the area. He ordered his men to hold their ground until reinforments arrived, but no one came, resulting in the deaths of many of his men. Because of this, Turner reported Pierson, in which Davis punished him with an Article 15 and a demotion to Technical Sergeant.
He became second in command to Turner by the time Ronald "Red" Daniels arrived. And by this time, he became antagonistic towards his squadmates, something Turner didn't take too kindly. After Turner's death, Pierson was put in charge of his squad, with Daniels being promoted to Corporal. After Daniels convinced him to continue to fight with his squad and his determination to find Zussman, Pierson mellowed out and started respecting his team more. After the Nazis surrendered and Zussman rescued, 8 weeks later, Pierson was last seen with his squad bidding farewell. Pierson asks if Daniels is gonna continue his path in the Army, which Daniels decides to return home instead to his family. Pierson wishes him farewell. When Daniels said that he'd tell his son that he served with "that crazy bastard Pierson", Pierson remarked by saying "crazy ain't the half of it". Pierson then leaves.
