William Afton

The Purple guy (real name William Afton.) or Purple Man was one of the main antagonists in Five Nights at Freddy's 2 and 3

Main Enemies: Henry Emily (former childhood friend), Michael Afton, Charlotte Emily/The Puppet (victim), Cassidy/Golden Freddy (victim/torturer).

Information[]

He was responsible of the murders of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza for 30 years until he went to the saferoom and tore apart the animatronics freeing the spirits of his victims, he eventually was frightened then hid in the Springtrap suit without knowing of the spring-lock mechanisms that hold the suit together he laughs then the spring-locks malfunction killing him instantly. He then reanimated as Springtrap, wandering around and being trapped in Fazbear Frights for thirty years. After Fazbear Frights is burned down, Springtrap manages to escape despite being charred and disfigured. William Afton donned a new Spring Bonnie suit from an old place, and later called himself as Scraptrap. Scraptrap is then summoned and salvaged by Michael Afton, where he eventually entered the labyrinth along with haunted possessed animatronics. But was revealed, it was all trap who planned by Henry Emily, Henry then burned the Freddy Fazbear Pizza Place restaurant. Allowing some innocent spirits who suffers inside the haunted animatronics finally rest in peace, leaving only William Afton spirit left who currently torment by Cassidy's Purgatory Realm.

Legacy[]

Beyond his grave, his legacy was continued by 'Glitchtrap'. A digital virus who's have been fused with William Afton dark agony, where he succeeded brainwashed Officer Vanessa, killing innocent children, and gained his physical form as 'Burntrap'.

He is, without a doubt, the most evil character in FNAF, and and some fans considered him A Complete Monster However, It is shown that he cared about his daughter, portraying him as a Tragic villain than pure evil.
His actual motivation for killing the children is still a mystery, although many people assume he did for his own enjoyment, or as part of an experiment to create life from the dead with an item who was called 'Remnants', which an item to obtained the immortality.
- Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator implies the latter, as a blueprint reveals the Scooper’s purpose; to transfer remnant, a substance that gives a soul its ability to remain after death, into the animatronics. These was also explained why the soul of Michael Afton is still capable survived even after his body went decay, these likely due to Scooper inject him with a remnant inside his body.
- Furthermore, a minigame accessed during the Midnight Motorist arcade game features a man depicted by a yellow sprite, who is shown to be abusive to his son. The "yellow man" is speculated by many to be William's father, and Michael and Elizabeth's paternal grandfather, causing many to believe that William's child murders stem from his own abusive childhood at the hands of his father. Until later revealed it was William Afton himself, who wears a yellow raincoat where this incident takes place after the 1983 incident of The Bite and also after his first murder of Henry's daughter Emily.
When FNAF Ultimate Custom Night was released in 2018, many thought that there was no story in the game and said it was just an ordinary game that had nothing to do with the storyline of the FNAF franchise.
- However, one by one evidence began to emerge from the actual storyline behind the game, especially from gamers who had theories about the game. That the game's storyline takes place after the FNAF Pizzeria Simulator, and the player himself apparently plays the role of William Afton who is now trapped in a supernatural world and is being repeatedly tormented by Cassidy.
It is not known how many innocent children have become victims of murder and sacrificed the remnants of immortality for William Afton.
- Evidence abounds in the FNAF 2 minigame, however, that he has killed 6 additional murder victims that possessed and haunt the Toy Animatronics. In FNAF Sister Location, it is also shown that even though the Funtime Animatronics are killing machines, they are also possessed by William Afton's victims, including Elizabeth Afton whose soul resides within the Circus Baby.
