Vanea a character from Xenoblade Chronicles and is the sister of Egil. She worked with her brother for many, many years. Although she doesn't agree with her brother and his viewpoints as well as his revenge on the Bionis for nearly committing genocide on their entire race, she still cared about him.
She was introduced to the game, she was already working on a new face Mechon named Nemisis and implanted a small compartment containing Meyneth, the goddess worshiped by her people, the Machina, on to Fiora as she was being placed into Face Nemisis as the pilot.
Later on the game, she helped out Shulk and his friends. She introduced them to the abandoned Machina captial, Agniratha, where Meyneth told the tragic story of how Zanza, the soul of the Bionis, sent his Telethia to attack the Mechonis and its populace, the Machina, nearly wiping them out, which prompted the battle between the 2 titans that was told in the beginning of the game. Egil, finding out that Vanea had been working with the group against his plans for revenge on the Bionis, turned on her and the group and attacked them. They were able to escape and were returned to the new Machina city within the palm of the Fallen Arm. Vanea was able to reunite with her father after so many years and the group were about to plan their final assault on Egil.
