Ultimate Story 2 is a sequel and the second main installment in the Ultimate Story. It takes place 8 years after the first Ultimate Story and 4 years after Ultimate Story: The Missing Link.
During this story, most of the characters receive new looks and new clothes. Fox McCloud takes on the appearance that he did in Starfox Adventures, with Misty kind of matching his new look. However, her look was somewhat inspired by Rain from G Gundam. Bubbles, as well as her sisters, having aged up to their preteens, also had slight changes to their looks. Princess Peach had began wearing dresses that are sleeveless. Rayman and Banjo had also taken on slightly modified looks.
During the story, it had already been 4 years since the Earth and Corneria started their alliance. The Cornerians as well as the Starfox team and their allies from Earth had to take on many challenges regarding this alliances, such as having to take on the many problem caused by HAAC, a group from Earth that is against the alliance, as well as their mysterious leader, the Supreme HAAC Leader, or the SHAACL, for short.
The story eventually led up to a battle against a dark enemy that was sealed away since the very beginning of time, many revelations that have taken place, new powers that are discovered and another step further into what will eventually lead to the Ultimate Destiny.
The story introduces new characters such as Krystal, the newest member of the team, as well as prominent Sonic characters, Amy and Cream. It also introduces new enemies, such as General Scales, who was robbed of any major roles as a villain in his original media and will receive his chance as a main villain.
The story also involves return of Sonic, who was absent throughout the first story, with him and other characters becoming permenent fixtures for the story, including Dr. Robotnik, aka Dr. Eggman, who becomes another main villain in the story.
Dinosaur Planet[]
Dinosaur Planet is the first chapter of Ultimate Story 2. It is based heavily off of Starfox Adventures. Fox and his friends take on the mission to save Dinosaur Planet from its travesty. This story is very much the rewrite of Starfox Adventures, with the inclusions of other members joining in on the adventure throughout Dinosaur Planet. Fox, as well as his other friends, Misty, Bubbles, Princess Peach, Rayman, Banjo-Kazooie and Pikachu, takes part on the major adventures throughout the entire planet.
The story consists of mostly he same elements as the game. Fox and his friends travelled throughout the planet, finding the Spellstones and Krazoa Spirits and bringing the planet back together. The introduction of Prince Tricky as the newest member of the team is still very much included naturally. However, there are also plenty of differences between the story and the game.
For instance, while Fox in the game was less than familiar with magic, Fox in the story has a lot of experience with magic. While the game consists of Fox mostly collecting the Krazoa Spirits by himself in the game, he and his friends have taken turns collecting each spirit. Even the fateful encounter with Krystal are very much different from each other. With Krystal being his potential lover in the original franchise, she is soon revealed to be his sister in the story. Instead of Fox saving her from falling to her death like in the game, Misty and Bubbles intervened with that and flew her to safety. Also, the story of Dinosaur Planet did not end with the planet restoring itself. Instead, the team spent some time on the planet for a few days afterwards.
During the story, it's been hinted that Fox and Misty developed feelings for each other, which had been brought up numerous times by Princess Peach, but Fox has denied it repeatedly.
The Stay on Dinosaur Planet[]
The second chapter of the story is naturally meant to be the continuation of adventure on Dinosaur Planet. During this story, Fox and his friends have made reunions as well as new encounters and new discoveries.
Among the reunions involve Falco, who had been absent throughout most of Dinosaur Planet as he had left the team a few years prior but had made a return to the team. Other reunions involve the men from the Pokemon world, Brock, Ash, Gary, Tracey and Professor Oak, making their dabut in Ultimate Story 2. Ribbon and Lady Bow returns at around the same time as them.
Other interesting main events in the story involve the birth of Tricky's little sister, Princess Beauty, an original character of the story inspired by Dinosaur Planet characters. Another main event involves the newest introduction, Krystal, who reveals to be Fox's long-lost sister. This revelation took a long time for Fox to process but he eventually accepts this.
Sometime after the revelation, General Pepper revealed some unusual activity at Krazoa Palace and was cut off due to interference. They return to the palace to reveal that General Scales was still very much alive and still plans to take over the planet but was immediately stopped by Sam, Alex and Clover, the girls of GROUP. The girls receive a pleasant reunion with the Starfox team while also revealing that they have been at Dinosaur Planet the whole time, working on a mission to arrest General Scales for nearly destroying Dinosaur Planet in his endeavor to dominate it completely.
Afterwards, the team leaves the planet with the promise to return and visit every week. After leaving, Falco was welcomed back. Also, Krystal decided to let Fox keep his staff, much to his hesitation, with which Krystal decided on both of them taking on the challenge to let the staff decide who shall become its wielder with Fox winning said challenge.
Following Events[]
After the team left Dinosaur Planet, they made their way back to Earth. There, they returned to reunite with Professor Oak at his Pokemon Ranch, with which he happily greeted them. They also reunited with their Pokemon with where they left them prior to leaving Earth. Falco even got to reunite with his Pokemon after having been absent for the past few years with which Professor Oak set up a nice living area for them, not knowing when they will return. Also having awaited his return was May, the professor's granddaughter, whom Falco also became good friends with. The professor left the 2 of them alone to chat.
Krystal was also introduced to Pokemon and immediately became smitten with them. She also developed a great interest in becoming a Pokemon trainer, with which everyone else was happy to help her out with. They stayed on Earth for a few more days, helping Krystal obtain and train her Pokemon. The first Pokemon she caught was a Caterpie from the Vermillion Forest, which she eventually raised into becoming a Butterfree.
Vacationing on Isle Delfino[]
A little after the beginning of the second Ultimate Story, the Starfox team took a vacation on the Isle Delfino where they were introduced to the island as well as flood and they take on different attire for their vacation.
It was rewarded to them by General Pepper after they took on an incredibly difficult mission, barely returning with their lives. Thankfully, it wasn't to send them on another mission but to inform them of their reward being the vacation, with which they became excited about.
They visited all of the areas on the island, enjoying the scenery and activities that the island had to offer as well as enjoy many delicious food.
Sonic's Return[]
At one point, Fox was asked by his sensei, Lisa, to visit Sonic on her behalf as she was busy with other matters throughout the universe. He and Misty did so, reuniting with Sonic and Tails. Misty, however, had already met Knuckles during the events of Ultimate Story the Missing Link, having already established a strong bond with one another. It was also when they met Amy and Cream for the first time, Amy already wanting to meet Fox, with her enthusiasm being overwhelming to him, and Cream having been a more favorable encounter.
Dr. Eggman also made a return to the story, with which Fox was easily able to remember him, though was shocked that he went by a different name. He attempted to overpower Fox by threatening Misty but was thwarted by Falco's sudden arrival, forcing Eggman to depart for the time being. From there, Falco was able to reunite with Sonic and Tails, meet with Knuckles, Amy and Cream. Soon enough, Slippy and Krystal appeared, with the former getting reaquainted with Sonic and Tails and latter actually meeting them for the first time.
The story ends with Tikal making her sudden appearance, introducing herself to everyone, becoming a permanent fixture to the story.
Fox and Misty[]
During the early events of Ultimate Story 2, it was later revealed that Fox and Misty have developed feelings for each other over the years. At first, Fox denied them with Misty having some realizations of this. Peach had also noticed this and tried to tell Fox this, but he shuts her down constantly. During the beginning of the Stay on Dinosaur Planet, Peach attempted to make them realize this by paying Shabunga, the Thorntail Storekeeper, to prepare some custom-made lockets for both of them, one containing each other's picture in each of them. This, however, backfired as instead of acknowledging this, Fox caught on with what she was trying to do and lashed out at her. Though, it seemed to have worked as Fox eventually starts to question if what she was trying to him them is true.
Sometime after Fox acknowledges and accepts that Krystal is his sister, Peach took this opportunity to bring it up again, this time using one of Professor Oak's devices, activating his lie detector function which activated after he attempted to deny again. From this, Fox could no longer deny his feelings and after spending some time mulling it over, he was able to acknowledge how much he cares about Misty as she did the same and the two of them confessed their feelings for one another, making their relationship official, much to the joy and elation of their friends.
The two of them spent the past few weeks dating, going over how much they've done for each other, how much they've meant to each other. Their feelings continue to fortify to the point where they can't stay apart even though they live on 2 completely different planets. So, their friends decided that they should marry each other. Fox was flustered over the thought of it, but after his teammates expressed how he had been distracted so much without her around, he conceded as it was something that he soon realized had to be done.
After everyone met on Dinosaur Planet, Fox took some time before he proposed to Misty, to which she said yes and their friends have already been gathered to arrange their wedding.
After a week of preperations, the two of them finally married with General Pepper as their officiant.
They honeymoon at Isle Delfino. There, Sonic and his friends spent a week with them. It was also where they met Rouge the Bat. She then noticed Fox and became infatuated with him, even flirting with him in front of his new wife. Everyone was understandably annoyed by this including Fox. Eventually, she convinced them to let her stick by after she told a funny story about Dr. Eggman. They spent their week and then left via plane while Fox and Misty enjoyed their honeymoon.
After they returned from their honeymoon, General Pepper declared their marriage to be the Heart of the Earth Cornerian Alliance with many alliance members, both human and cornerian, supporting their love and union.
Earth-Cornerian Alliance[]
A few years back, during the events of Ultimate Story the Missing Link, the Cornerians formed an alliance with Earth in order to protect them from their enemies. Though, the Cornerians intended on waiting till the humans became more tolerable and accepting. However, due to their enemies finding out about the Earth, the Cornerians decided to act earlier than originally intended.
Thankfully, they have established many friends on Earth who they met with and discussed their plans to commence an alliance. Among those friends were Professor Oak. Though not exactly a leader of any place in particular, he is still very much an influence that helped with get started on the alliance. One by one, different areas of Earth became part of the Earth-Cornerian Alliance (ECA). The Starfox Team have become among the bridge between both planets, taking care of negotiations and such. General Pepper became the major figure in the Cornerian side with him interacting with Professor Oak on a regular basis, even becoming friends with him.
However, there have been many other that refuse to partake in alliance. Not only that, but they formed their own group known as HAAC, Humans Against an Alliance with Corneria. This has been among the many struggles that the prominent figures.
The Fall of Dr. Eggman[]
The servers are the 7 Chaos. Chaos is power, power that is enriched by the heart. The controller is the one who unifies the chaos.
At one point in the story, Fox was confused by this riddle as he left on his own to figure out the riddle. That was when Dr. Eggman came to him to help him figure out the riddle in exchange for the 7 Chaos Emeralds. At first, Fox was resistant to the offer but then eventually agreed, or that was what he wanted Eggman to believe.
