Oroku Saki, better known as the Shredder, is one of the three main villains of the 1987 series of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
He was voiced by the late James Avery. Oroku Saki is a member of the Foot Clan and was originally a student of Hamato Yoshi. He constantly challenged his teacher in an effort to usurp him, which he eventually done so when he framed Yoshi for murder. Saki became the leader of the Foot Clan and transformed it into a criminal organization, taking on the title "The Shredder". He would also enter a partnership with an interdimensional alien warlord known as Krang. He and Krang would eventually be defeated by the turtles. However, the two would then be replaced by another alien warlord named Lord Dregg.
