The Core is the overarching antagonist of the Disney Channel series Amphibia. It is a digital amalgamation of "Amphibia's greatest minds" and the master of King Andrias, which seeks to dismantle the prophecy that brought the girls to Amphibia. It's also known as Darcy.

Phase 4 (End of an Era/Beginning of A New Era)[]
During Countdown, The Core was first mentioned by Harry Wells who saw it during some of his time in Newtopia and he is wary of it, despite what Captain Hero thinks.
It was mentioned in Chronicles of Zaragoza and Larke Tanner recalled it and it was revealed by her that it caused a truly cathstoprhic event that caused a change in the multiverse. Larke states it killed Deathstroke Wilson, A Good deal of Team Free Will, everyone in Lizbeth's team M.O.D.A.B apart from Bender which Larke left out when telling Lizbeth and other heroes/villains including King Andrias himself.
It was defeated by Bender, Slade, Anti Cosmo, Hunson Abadeer, Discord, Lincoln Loud, Lydia Lopez, Luan Loud and The Calamity Girls. But it's effects were still felt and it changed them and the others's lives living currently.
With Bender, Luan, Libby, Captain Hero, Wile E, Bean, Tom Lucifor, Amity Blight, Libby Stein, Slade, Anti Cosmo, Harry Wells, Jessie Wells, Celes Chere, Slade's Empire, Hunson Abadeer and his men, Discord, Lincoln, Lydia, Anne, Marcy Wu, and Sasha having to pick up the pieces afterwards.

Book 3: Culmination[]
The Core is revealed to be Andiras's master as he uses it to possess Marcy Wu to give it a body though he isn't pleased about doing this and prevents her, Yunan and Olviia from escaping by using their worse fears.
The Core gains full control of Marcy's body with her conscious restained with the other minds, though it still maintain some of it's persoanlity. It mocks Andiras for his failures to deal with Anne, as well as her friends. Andrias tells it that nothing would stop his massive army, not Anne or that Robot can stop them. It becomes apparent that the Core is close to begin it's invasion and Aldirch's persoanlity slips in to it as it gaslights Andiras.
Book 4: Falling Cilmax[]
It and King Andiras get the jump on Anne, Sasha, Grime, Sprig, Bender, Slade, Luan, Anti Cosmo and Harrison as they try to get the box and The Core decides to collar them all for going against it and decides to try and study Anne before killing her. It proceeds to mock Anne and Sasha for thinking they actually were friends with Marcy through her memories which calls Back to what Bender said to Anne as he called her on it, and Darcy jokes about how a smoking drinking thieving robot is the one who got to know Marcy better than they did. It's plans hit a snag when Maka and her allies show up and The Core/Darcy decides to fight Sasha, Grime, Bender, Anti Cosmo, Slade, Luan and Harry Wells to insure it can defeat those other than Anne that serve as it and Aldrich's biggest threat. THe Core proves tough by being being able to fight them to a stand still and cutting Grime's arm. However is is defeated and Marcy is freed from it.
The Core survives escapes and attaches itself to the moon to use as a superweapon to insure it's foes fo extict as what Lizbeth beieved would be the case.
Anne, Sasha, and Marcy tap into the gems' powers and assume their full calamity forms with the help of Lizbeth, Bender, Slade, Anti Cosmo, Luan, Harrison, Wile E, Mop Girl, Hunson, Discord, The Collector, Hades, HIM, Punguari, Kratos, Deimos, Atom Eve and even King Andrias who try to stop it. The Core proves too powerful for even some of the others and This causes Anne to put herself on the line to get Marcy and Sasha's powers.
This ends being the turning point needed and unleashes the full power of the gems to destroy the Core.
