Kruel Rose, a Spirituum of Ara Astaroth

A Spirituum is a being part of the Spirits race in LOTM: Sword of Kings. The Spirituum are a tribe of spiritual beings who use the powers of nature and are used as familiars. The future of the Spirituum form is that of the Archangels. The strongest Spirituum are the Imperatorum that are an extremely powerful Spirituum able control all life in a planet itself. From a long point of view, the Spirituum are beings whose origin can be traced back tens of thousands of years and were created by Celica Arfonia as warriors to fight against the expansion of the Blackness.

So far, Kruel Rose from Revelation of Qliphoth was the only one and first Spirituum to be introduced in the story. Likewise, she is the only Spirituum to appears an antagonist in the entire storyline and to serve Ara Astaroth as one of her minions. Ironically, Kruel is also helping the Blackness to spread further across other dimensions, the black element that she was suppose to defeat.

Description[]

Spirituum are spiritual beings who have always existed, invisible to the human eye due to their poor spiritual powers. A ritual performed by Vira when Creeper Derangea X-12 Virus was unleashed, resulted in Meta-Humans gaining the power to see spirituum on Prime Earth. After that event, spirituum were somehow enslaved and used by exorcists from Holy Eye, a Church located on USA to enact magical effects. They can exist in both human and non-human form. Likewise, they are regarded by exorcists to be without ego, mere tools.

According to Tohka Yatogami, who is a Superior Spirits, a spirituum's true name holds a special meaning toward themselves and is not something to be told lightly to others, except to the their vessels. When it is told to those other than vessels, true names can mean both "an unbreakable trust" and a "love confession".

Trivia[]

  • The word "Spirituum" is Semitic for "angel" or "spirit", originating in Latin before spreading to other languages.
