The Space Wolves are a space marine chapter created from Primarch Leman Russes Geneseed. They have created an intense rivalry with the librarian and space marine chapter the Thousand Sons for the destruction of their homeworld. To this day the Space Wolves homeworld Fenris is a big target for Magnus The Red and any of his devotees ready to extract revenge on them.
The space marine chapter is one of the few who are willing to rescue human civilians from evil's harm. At least, these days they are as a Chapter, back in the days of the Horus Heresy and prior, as a legion led by Leman Russ, they were ruthless and savage executioners, slaughtering anything regardless, collateral damage be damned
