Shriek was an employer of Blight being sent to kill Batman and lost, ending up with losing his hearing. He was able to join The Kingpin by offering his sound based technology and Wayne Enterprises as a target for his Criminal Empire to steal technology from and move into business to buy it, by assassinating Bruce Wayne.
