Shaktimaan (Hindi:शक्तिमान) is a popular superhero from India from the television series of the same name produced by Mukesh Khanna and directed by Dinkar Jani. Shaktimaan receieved powers of the seven gurus who trained and blessed him with yogic shakti which was natural power. He was chosen warrior against evil by siddha gurus of a cult named Suryavanshi. They are the followers of the sun. As part of the training, he trained with Kundalini Yoga to awake the seven chakras of body and gain the supernatural powers for them. To gain complete control over his powers he performed the deadliest ritual of death. However, this didn't cause death but he survived as a normal person. He also performed Yajna in which he entered the flames for himself and dissolved his body in spontaneous combustion. Then eventually, the five elements of life revived his body giving him superpowers for him. Thus after his mortal body he was given superhuman form of power to fight against evil everywhere in the universe in the world of Shaktimaan. After when Shaktimaan was previously created, Shaktimaan sets out to decimate his archememy Kilvish. It is explained, Kilvish can only be defeated after when evil is destroyed. Shaktimaan's mission is to destroy the sin within people, not the sinned people. Shaktimaan's adventures show him pursing justice and saving his friends while Kilvish and his minions plot to defeat him.
Powers[]
Shaktimaan possesses various superpowers like incredible strength, ability to move fast by rapid rotation and is almost invincible. He cannot be harmed by mere mortal weapons. He also has the ability to fly at the speed of light, ability to voluntarily change his size, powerful vision, invisibility, ability to control the five elements of nature and immortality. He can divide his physical body in five different bodies of sky, earth, water, wind and fire. He can also transform his body into pure light and move with the speed of light. Shaktimaan also has the ability to shoot beams of laser from his fingers, toes and other parts of his blessed body. He can also stretch his various body parts to great lengths. Shaktimaan is also an expert at different martial art forms and has the power of telepathy, teleportation, etc.
The only weakness of Shaktimaan lies in a crystal that is filled with all the evil of the world. The crystal is possessed by his arch rival Tamraj Kilvish, and is the source of his dark powers.
