Shaft was a priest for Dracula and one of the main villains of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
He brainwashed Richter Belmont into helping him revive Dracula until Alucard broke Belmont out of his control. Then Alucard took down Shaft and Dracula.
At present, Shaft has betrayed Dracula and Death to ally up with Sigma. He has also brainwashed Richter Belmont again to serve with him.

He threatens Discord with his allie's death if he doesn't make back off but Discord doesn't so Shaft send Belmont to back up Krell
