Corporal Ronald "Red" Daniels is the main protagonist of Call of Duty: WWII.

Daniels joined the U.S. Army on March 7, 1944 to live up to his brother's legacy. Since he never left his hometown, he acted naive and sheltered from the outside world. He was deployed with the 1st Infantry Division in Europe on D-Day. He was also engaged to a woman named Hazel with a baby on the way. He met his squad in basic training, in which he hated Robert Zussman in the first week. However, the two became best friends since then, with them always watching each other's backs.
After the death of Joseph Turner, Technical Sergeant William Pierson was made commanding officer of his squad, with Daniels being promoted to Corporal, thus becoming second-in-command. This caused problems between Daniels and Pierson. After attempting to save Zussman from the Nazis, Pierson ordered him away, despite originally intending to execute him for desertion. Despite going against Pierson's orders, Davis decided to have him discharged honorably due to the intel he extracted from a Nazi prisoner, with the possibility of recieving a Bronze Star medal. However, Daniels approached Pierson, and ripped the discharge paper infront of him, showing him that he'll go as far as can to save Zussman and finish the mission, causing a presumed change in Pierson's demenor. After the Rhine was captured and Zussman rescued, Daniels returns to Texas with his Bronze Star, and sets it on his brother's grave.
