Roland is a character from the Halo universe.
He is voiced by Brian T. Delaney.
Roland is the A.I. for the UNSC Infinity and a character in Spartan Ops and Halo 5: Guardians.
History[]
Roland is the A.I. for the UNSC Infinity who was put into service after the ship's original A.I. was destroyed after the ship had crash landed on Requiem.
He assisted various Spartan Operations ever sense his activation (including operations for Fire Team Crimson). When a Forerunner Artifact was brought onboard after being captured on Requiem's surface it began to interfere with the ships systems and engines as the engines were of Forerunner origin.
During this time, Roland had to assume command of the Engine Room while it had to be evacuated. Late, Dr. Halsey had to be brought to the Infinity to "coax" the artifact into releasing it's hold on the ship and then Roland was able to relinquish control of the systems.
Personality[]
When bored, Roland is usually polite, but when excited, he can become annoying, employs a generally aloof demenor, and particularly enjoys mocking SPARTAN Jared Miller. He has also been known to joke with Officers such as Sarah Palmer and Thomas Lasky whilst in a combat situation.
Order of the Just[]
Roland is a member of the Order of the Just by default due to the Order currently operating from the Infinity. He is one of the Order's A.I. along with Epsilon, Delta, Theta, and F.I.L.S.S.
