Rei Hououmaru is a reformed antagonist from Kill la Kill.
She is voiced by Cristina Vee.
Rei is the secretary of Ragyo Kiryuin at the REVOCS Corporation. 20 years prior, she was originally an African child whose hometown was caught in a Civil War. Before she could be killed, the soldier that threatened to kill her was dismembered by Ragyo, in which she saved her due to the fact that she was high in Life Fiber compatibilities. Ragyo took her in, named her "Rei Hououmaru", and gave her a pair of aviator sunglasses.
She displays a serious and professional personality at times, but makes some remarks about Ragyo at times. She's mainly a calm individual, but after Ragyo was killed, she went into full head-on rage and attempted to take revenge on Ryuko Matoi and Satsuki Kiryuin, which, as a result, sunk Honno City. However, she proved to still have heart and accepted Satsuki's offer, allowing her to reform her ways.

Rei will appear as a supporting protagonist and will be a member of the Solar Associated Treaty Organization, as well as an assistant to Satsuki Kiryuin and Nick Reyes.
