Ratchet

Ratchet is the main protagonist of the Ratchet & Clank series, being one of the titular heroes and a main playable character in the series. He is the last remaining lombax in the universe, a skilled mechanic, and intergalactic hero who wields a variety of extremely powerful weapons.

Ratchet was born on Fastoon in the Polaris Galaxy, son of Kaden, guardian of the Dimensionator, and grew up as an orphaned mechanic on planet Veldin in the Solana Galaxy. His life was changed once he met Clank, a small robot who crash landed on Veldin, and who would become his lifelong companion and best friend. The two shared many adventures, often working alongside Captain Qwark, in which they defeated galactic criminals and supervillains, the most notable of which being Dr. Nefarious. During this time, Ratchet has worked with MegaCorp as a commando, the Galactic Rangers as a sergeant, Q-Force as a leading member, and the Polaris Defense Force.

Ratchet is a street-wise, headstrong lombax who has shown immense bravery and enjoys challenge. He cares about protecting people of the galaxy, but particularly cares passionately about his close friends, and his home world of Veldin. He is a skilled mechanic, and a wielder of many powerful weapons and gadgets, manufactured by Gadgetron, MegaCorp, GrummelNet, the lombaxes and others, that make him a formidable hero. His most common weapon is an OmniWrench, which he uses in melee combat.

The Ratchet and Kim Possible Chronicles[]

At the beginning of the first book, Dr. Drakken and Shego stole a top secret space station that Dr. Possible, Kim's dad, was working on. As soon as they took it into space and arrived in the Solana Galaxy, Ratchet kept his eye on the space station and never looked away from it.

As soon as Kim and Ron arrived in the Solona Galaxy, Ratchet watched as they attempted to break into it. However, when they fell into one of Drakken's deathtraps, Ratchet rushed out to same them. He then asked them to tell him what had been going on. Kim told him that she was trying to retrieve the space station that both of her archenemies stole. After they had the chance to introduce each other, Ratchet decided to help Kim and Ron get back Dr. Possible's space station. They started out by trying to fix up Dr. Possible's space shuttle, Kim had Wade analyze it before they actually did anything to it.

While he analyzed the shuttle, Ratchet, Kim, Ron and Clank had a chance to sit down and get to know each other. Ratchet told Kim and Ron about him and Clank saving the Solana Galaxy from the evil Drek and then was called to the Bogon Galaxy by Mr. Fizzwidget to retrieve an Experimental creature that was stolen by a mysterious thief. He then allowed Kim to talk about herself. As she was telling him about her double-life as a teen crime fighter, Ratchet became mezmerized and fascinated by her to the point where he developed a bit of a crush on her. It was also revealed that Kim began developing some feelings for him as well. That was cemented when Kim mentioned to him that he can call him by her real name: Kimberly, which he happily agreed on.

Their feelings for each other grew as they continued to help and support each other through their missions, especially after Drakken and Shego stole Dr. Possible's space shuttle, broke it apart and scattered them all over the Bogon Galaxy. They supported each other nonstop, whether it was fighting many hordes of enemies together, encouraging each other, or even stopping at nothing to finish each other's missions. Dr. Possible even trusted Ratchet with looking after his daughter despite not knowing much about him. The few times that Kim lost her nerves over what had been happening to her father during the mission, Ratchet was there to snap her out of her distraught state and remind her that she needed to keep going.

Much like Kim, Ratchet was also oblivious to having feelings for her until Ron and Clank reminded them. After they began to realize this, they shared their first kiss. Kim and Ratchet spent time with each other and remained in touch after their first mission. However, they both began to develop a fear of how Kim would be treated by other humans for their relationship, so they decided to break it off and remain friends, he even went back to addressing her as Kim rather than her real name.

After reuniting with Kim in person, Kim announced to Ratchet that she's dating Ron. Ratchet tried to be happy for her, but was hurting deep down. Whenever Clank tried to remind him of this, Ratchet just brushed it off and denies feeling any pain from having to break off his relationship from Kim. During the mission to save the Solana Galaxy from Dr. Nefarious, it was clear that Kim still cared about Ratchet. A lot of the times when he would be mistreated by others during the mission, Kim would call off and even lash out at anyone who had been mistreating him. However, they didn't attempt to rekindle their relationship. Kim was so afraid of how she would be treated that she even convinced herself that Ratchet doesn't have any feelings for her anymore. However, as Ratchet watched Kim return home after their mission, he addressed her by her real name, an indication that what Kim convinced herself to believe was wrong.

Adventures in Polaris[]

Some time after Kim and Ron graduated from high school, Kim spent some time with Ratchet and Clank while they were working on a rocket sled. At that time, Qwark asked the group to rescue him from some invading robotic commandos. On their way to try and help out Qwark, they were attacked by the same commandos, who have also been wrecking the city trying to destroy the group. It was revealed that they were under the command of an evil Cragmite prince named Tachyon, who knew about the Lombaxes, Ratchet's race, and wanted to destroy all of them, including Ratchet. Before Tachyon could kill Ratchet, Ratchet escaped along with Kim and Clank and flew off into another galaxy.

Making their way through, they met a smuggler who told them about Polaris, the galaxy they were in and Tachyon. He revealed that he was a member of the Cragmites who were at war with the Lombaxes many years ago. After he dropped them off in Stratus City on another planet, they made their way through the city. Along the way, Clank noticed some strange creatures trying to direct them towards a building, but Ratchet and Kim couldn't see them and he disregarded Clank's claims as a malfunction. However, Clank received a new upgrade by the mysterious creatures which enabled him to glide. He led Ratchet and Kim to a building known as the Hall of Knowledge where they discovered a planet named Fastoon that was the Lombaxes' home planet. The trio made their escape to the planet only to find that it had been deserted for years. Ratchet then found a broken down ship that he became adamant about fixing. So, the trio made strides to do so. They succeeded and flew to a planet called Murow after Wade received a report of a shuttle that crashed on it.

Arriving on the planet, they found that it was Ron and Rufus that boarded that shuttle. With Ron tagging along, they made their way to an arena where Qwark presented them with intel regarding Tachyon trying to find something called the Lombax Secret. The intel led them to the Apogee Space Station within the Nundac Asteroid Belt where they met a young girl named Talwyn after her robots, Cronk and Zephyr, tried to kill them for breaking and entering. She told them that her father found a Lombax artifact that was stolen by pirates years ago. Her father went after them to try to get it back but never returned. Wade then informed the group that he picked up on readings similar to Lombax technology on a backwater planet known as Ardolis. This prompted Talwyn to leave with Cronk and Zephyr for the planet. The group then left afterwards.

Arriving on Ardolis, Ratchet and his friends fought through space pirates and found the artifact. They were interrupted by the leader of the band of pirates, Cap'n Slag and were almost caught by him but then Talwyn helped them out of it while she retrieved the artifact. When Ratchet was able to get his hands on it, it immediately revealed a holographic image of a planet named Rykon V, so they made their way towards there.

The group was able to arrive on the planet after having dealt with the vicious pirates in space and fought alongside Cronk and Zephyr for the first time. Tachyon's forces were already hunting them down, making it harder for the group. Eventually, they reached a bunker that used to house something and discovered that the Lombax Secret was a helmet-like device known and the Dimensionator. It was also revealed that those that were chosen to test the device were to be sent to a research facility on Sargasso, so they made their way there.

Arriving on the planet, Wade revealed to them that the attack on Kerwan had caused some problem and Kim's parents have been trying to alleviate it, causing Ratchet to feel guilt-ridden. Regardless, they had to let that go and move on. They arrived at the facility where they ran into a plumber that they might have ran into in the past. He gave them some cryptic intel about the Dimensionator and left in a bizarre fashion, but not before giving them something that might be helpful later on. Clank then suspected that the device didn't incinerate the Cragmites, but perhaps relocated them. They then received a call from Qwark telling them to return to the stadium on Murow as he might have more information for them.

Arriving on Murow, Ratchet and his friends made their way back to arena where Qwark revealed to them intel about an advanced super computer called the IRIS, which was under the possession of the space pirates on the Kreeli Comet. Before they could leave, Qwark begged them to let him tag along, much to the group's surprise. After some....lackluster encouragement from the group, he decided to leave to take on a heroic solo mission....probably.

Before they left for the Kreeli Comet, Kim lamented about her parents dealing with the uproar back in Solana. Ratchet had a chance to comfort her and encourage her not to worry about them as they are doing everything they can. Kim felt reassured and she and Ratchet almost shared another kiss with Ron quietly cheering them on. They then stopped each other and realized that they needed to get back to the mission, much to Ron's dismay.

Arriving on the Kreeli Comet, the group fought through whole hoards robot pirates until they were able to reach the super computer. Finding out that it's broken, Clank went deeper into it to try and repair it with the help from the Zoni. When they got IRIS working, it revealed that the Dimensionator can open portals to other dimensions, to which the Cragmites were banished into another dimension. It also revealed that Tachyon was raised by the Lombaxes after he was found frozen in an egg but then he turned against them after finding out what happened to his people. IRIS tells them that the Dimensionator was relocated to Kerchu City by Max Apogee before shutting down. Ratchet was left despondent and became adamant about heading for Kerchu City to find it. However, Clank tells his friends that he received a vision from the Zoni that Talwyn was being held in Zordoom. Ratchet halfheartedly brushed off Clank's claim as a delusion from imaginary friends but Kim and Ron were willing to give Clank a chance and outvoted Ratchet on having their next destination be Zordoom Prison, much to his frustration.

Upon their arrival at the planet where Zordoom Prison was, Wade confirmed that Talwyn was at the prison and also believes that the Zoni are real, however Ratchet refused to believe in any of it, even went as far as discrediting any of Wade's findings. He was also more than willing to call off Wade as being much less useful than Qwark, much to the shock and annoyance of his friends. As soon as they landed, they fought through the prison with his friends and was able to find that Talwyn was there, despite that, he was still not willing to believe any of his friends about the existence of the Zoni. Their frustration towards him was so immense that they refused to give him credit for rescuing Talwyn, but rather, have him be nothing more than merely assisting in it.

As the group made their way towards planet Jasindu, they arrived at the Verdigris Black Hole, where he and his friends ran into the space pirates again. They fought against the space pirates before finding out that they were heading for Kerchu City, prompting the group to try and beat them there. Upon their arrival, they found that the pirates did beat them there and made every attempt to find the Dimensionator before the pirates did. The group searched all over the city until they find and fought off a massive Kerchu, then found the Dimensionator. However, it was taken by Cap'n Slag. The group made gave chase as they made their way towards another pirate base within the Ublik Passage.

They arrived at the base and fought through until they found Cap'n Slag and fought against him. After the Cap'n was defeated, his first mate offered Ratchet to be the new captain of the pirates, but Ratchet politely declined and said that he just wanted the Dimensionator. He got into a brief argument with Clank before Qwark interrupted them and took the Dimensionator then left in an attempt to toss the device into a black hole. However, he was making his way towards Reepor, the home planet of the long absent Cragmites. Hearing this, the group made their way towards the planet.

They arrived and fought through Tachyon's forces with the help of Talwyn, Cronk and Zephyr. However, they soon found that Tachyon was wearing the Dimensionator. He threatened the group with the Pan Dimensional Vortex Inducer that was stolen from Earth a while back. He then used the Dimensionator to bring back the Cragmites, which caused chaos that separated the group. Ratchet, finding himself alone called out for his friends and hurried off to find them. As soon as he reunited with almost all of his friends, he expressed remorse for not heeding Clank's warnings to destroy the Dimensionator while taking the blame for everything that had happened just recently. Clank was able to reunite with the group much to the elation of Ratchet and his friends. Ratchet then proceeded to apologize to Clank for his behavior, but then they received news about a Cragmite fleet making its way towards a planet named Igliak, with was the capital of the galaxy that was free from Tachyon's rule. The group made their way to that planet with the intention of putting a stop to the fleet's invasion.

They arrived within Meridian City which was being pummeled by the Cragmites. The group fought their way though the vicious fight to save the city with some aerial support from Talwyn. They were able to find Qwark and then Clank revealed to the group that he was told by the Zoni that they needed to make their way for Fastoon. Willing to trust his friend and reconcile for his previous behavior, Ratchet believed him and set course for the planet immediately.

As soon as they arrived at Fastoon, they were immediately ambushed by Tachyon's forces, to which Ratchet confirmed that Clank truly was right about where Tachyon was as well as confirming his claims that the Zoni were real. He and his friends dropped down and fought through the ruins of the city along with Talwyn, Cronk and Zephyr. When they found Tachyon, he told them that dispite being raised by the Lombaxes, he betrayed them because he was disgusted by them for what he did to his race. Kim and Ron happily called him off for his bad behavior and from there, his hatred towards the duo greatly intensified almost as badly as his hatred towards the Lombaxes. He then gave Ratchet an alternative to return to reunite with his race. He, however, turned down the offer, knowing that he had to get rid of the Dimensionator or else no one would be safe from Tachyon's wrath. Tachyon then proceeded to fight against the Lombax with Kim and Ron standing by their friend.

After the battle against the Cragmite tyrant was over, their friends and allies met back at the Apogee Space Station where they celebrated. However, Ratchet seemed despondent over what Tachyon said about his father and his purpose. Clank reassured him that his purpose had been fulfill, to which Ratchet felt grateful towards Clank about, then went on to mention that his friends are just as important to him as his race, if not even more. Soon enough, the Zoni arrived, to which everyone could see and took Clank away, leaving Ratchet and every one of his friends despondent and concerned.

The Search For Clank[]

After Clank disappeared, Ratchet spent an entire year trying to look for his buddy. Kim and Ron returned home as they had lives back on Earth but provided some help via communicators. Talwyn helped out with the search. When Ratchet found out from IRIS about a pirate named Blackwater who had some Zoni technology in their possession, he and Talwyn made their way to the planet Merdegraw where they fought with pirates, helped an indigence race known as the Hoolifoids and found an advanced telescope known as the Obsidian Eye. From that, Ratchet found out that his friend was in a mysterious place surrounded by Zoni. He also found out that Dr. Nefarious was in that place, which greatly startled him. He found that the coordinates lead to the Breegus Nebula, to which Talwyn warned him is full of a lot of ruthless criminal. Without hesitation, Ratchet set course for the Breegus Nebula, hoping that he will find his friend there.

He made his way towards the Breegus Sector with Captain Qwark (for some reason). As they were flying through space, they were hit by a strange shockwave, which shut down most of Aphelion's functions, causing them to fall towards a planet. The crashed caused Aphelion to break apart and were thrown off of a cliff. However, they were frozen in the air just as they were about to fall into an abyss, with them noticing strange, blue streams of aura that have caused different parts of the area to be frozen in time. They soon spotted Kim on the otherside of the ravine, wearing battle suit known as the Centurian Armor. She helped them out of the ship and had a wonderful reunion. She then decided to stay with the duo and they traveled through the planet's jungle together.

Kim and Ratchet had a chance to chat, with Kim telling him about what had been going on since they last saw each other, such as still not knowing what happened to Rufus, who disappeared around the same time that Clank was taken as well as hearing that Ron's been suffering from a terrible stomachache, which was why he wasn't with her. He told her about how he found that Clank could be somewhere within the Breegus Nebula, which was why he came. Kim revealed to him that she's in the Breegus Nebula to investigate some strange anomalies. When they got near one of them, which was some of the blue aura that was causing some places within the area to become frozen in time, Kim suffered an unusual dizzy spell, which she revealed was being caused by the anomalies. Ratchet, greatly concerned for her, told her that she shouldn't be going on missions, but she assured him that there is a good reason why she is.

Ratchet found out from Kim and Wade that the strange anomalies have been causing Kim to have on and off bouts of headaches and dizzy spells and Ron to have stomachaches, with this being the reason why she was adamant about taking on this mission. From this, Ratchet decided to stay with her to help her out.

The trio then came across a female Fongoid whose children were attacked by strange creatures called the Zyphoids. Ratchet and Kim went off to rescue the kids and returned them to their mother, but then they encountered another anomaly that caused Kim to fall on her knees from another dizzy spell. After they rescued the children, the mother offered them to follow her the village. There, they met Alpheus, the chief of the village. He told the group about a dangerous mercenary named Vorselon who just arrived at their planet. He then told them that he encountered Ratchet's ship and that there is a way to fix it; with the help of the Zoni. He brought the group into the Temple of Zhan where a Zoni vessel was kept. If they were obtain it, then they will be able to find and catch wandering Zoni. Ratchet offered to entered the temple and retrieve the vessel then immediately rushed out after he heard that Kim fainted. While he was tending to her, she blurted out "Tempus Simia". After Kim came to, they exited the temple.

After exiting the temple, the village was under attack by Vorselon's warship. They then came face-to-face with Vorselon, himself, who abducted Qwark and almost all of the Fongoid villagers. Kim, Ratchet and Alpheus were the only ones who escaped. They returned to where Ratchet's ship was still frozen in mid-air and, with the few Zoni that Ratchet was able to find, his ship was fixed and even improved. Both he and Kim went into space and chased after Vorselon's ship.

They boarded and fought through Vorselon's ship, making their way to where he was keeping the prisoners. They overhear him mentioning the name "Alister Azimuth" over and over, claiming that he spotted him on Quantos. However, they never encountered anyone by that name, so they both have a reason to believe that he's mistaking Ratchet for this Azimuth person. The duo broke out Qwark and the Fongoids and helped them escape. After they escaped, Vorselon had his ship do a bioscan, confirming that he had been mistaking Ratchet for Azimuth, leading Kim to believe that Azimuth is a Lombax.

After they found and defeated Vorselon then escaped his ship, they called up Wade and told them about what they're finding of a rebel named Alister Azimuth, believing him to be a Lombax. Wade did a widespread scan of the entire region of the galaxy and found traces of Lombax within the Vela Sector. With that, the duo made their way there immediately.

Alister Azimuth[]

Arriving in the sector, the duo make their way towards a planet known as Torren IV, the source of the readings of the other Lombax. They landed in an area known as the Monolith Fields. From there, they begin to look for a place known as Volgram Pass. However, they got near another time anomaly. Almost immediately, Kim developed another painful headache. Ratchet then immediately contacted Wade to inform him about this. Shortly afterwards, he remembered that Kim mentioned something strange back at the Temple of Zahn: Tempus Simia. From that, Wade went to work on trying to find out the meaning behind those words. After Kim's headache faded, Ratchet made a promise to Kim that he will always look after her and then then the 2 continued on their way while lamenting over their feelings for each other.

They made their way towards a robotic head, who told them that to get there, they to reach a place known as the Hollow, which they needed to look for Volgram Pass themselves. At that time, they received a transmission from Qwark who told them that the Fongoids were planning to send Qwark off to speak to an aggressive race known as the Agorians. Both Kim and Ratchet believed this to be a bad idea, with Kim suspecting that the Fongoids just wanted to get rid of Qwark and Ratchet strongly agreeing with her.

They eventually made it to the Hollow, dealt with a minor issue there and then eventually made it to Volgram Pass. Almost immediately after they arrived, they spotted what appeared to be another Lombax. When Ratchet called for him, he tossed a bomb towards them, suspecting that they could be assassins sent by either Vorselon or Nefarious to kill him. The duo tried to convince him otherwise, but he wouldn't listen to them. When Azimuth was able to corner Ratchet, he took a close look at him and realized that he was the son of his dear friend, Kaden. From there, Azimuth calmed down and introduced himself to the duo. He told them both about Kaden and how he believed this mysterious clock that Vorselon and Nefarious had been looking for really does exist. He also believed that their friend, Clank, is in that clock due to his connection with the Zoni. He gave Ratchet a pair of Kaden's Hover Boots and gave him a few lessons on how to use them.

During his lessons in using them, he seemed to have excelled in utilizing them. However, after a while, he noticed Kim losing consciousness and fell to the ground. He tended to her while chatting with Wade. He was informed that Kim's headaches were caused by massive amounts of memories flooding back into her mind but there's been too much for her mind to process, which had been causing her headaches, even causing the pain so unbearable that she loses consciousness. He was also told that "Tempus Simia" had something to do with time. From there, Kim abruptly shouts "Time Monkey" while regaining consciousness immediately.

A little afterwards, Azimuth had their next stop be Axiom City on the planet Terachnos where they intend to find a way to communicate with Clank. As they were making their way to the planet, Azimuth mentioned to them about a company known as Pollyx Industries where the CEO, Pollyx, was being paid by Nefarious to collect data regarding the Zoni. He hopes to find any intel regarding an incredibly powerful telescope known as the Obsidian Eye. Ratchet mentioned that he found one on Merdegrew but it was dismantled by the Hoolefoids, the natives of that planet.

Landing in Axiom City, they found out that Azimuth ran into some trouble when he arrived, so they made a plan to meet him someplace near Pollyx Industries known as Neurox Plaza. They were able to find out that Pollyx, Vorselon and Nefarious wanted to find the clock because it has the power to move and alter time with the use of a special room in the clock known as the Orvus Chamber. Knowing that they could do terrible things with it, they proceeded to make sure that they never misuse the clock, but they also became concerned about Clank and why he's in the middle of all of this.

They soon reunited with Azimuth at the Neurox Plaza where Nefarious' troops are already bombarding them. They helped the good general fight off the bots and met with someone that Azimuth was very much acquainted with: a data miner of Pollyx Industries named Jarvis. Azimuth one saved him from an incredibly lethal incident with the Agorians and intended to use his connections with the company to find a way into Pollyx Industries. With the help of Jarvis and a little help from Kim and Ratchet, the trio were able to make their way into the building. However, as soon as they entered, they tripped the alarms and were forced to fight through the facility.

They fought through the facility, making their way to an impossible to cross chamber. However, it was nothing that Kim Possible couldn't handle and her athletic agility mezmerized Ratchet, to which Azimuth took notice of and immediately noticed that Ratchet had a thing for her, something he was obviously opposed to. They were able to reach the main office of the facility and found out an Obsidian Eye on the planet Lumos in an area known as Krell Canyon. However, they were soon interrupted by a transmission from Dr. Nefarious who claimed that Azimuth is "the shame of his entire race" and then sent a massive robot named the VX-99 to try and destroy them. They were able to handle the massive bot, but then Kim collapsed from another headache attack, so he had to carry her away with him as the VX-99 self destructed.

When Azimuth returned Ratchet and Kim to Aphelion, Ratchet did show that he still had feelings for her as he worried about her, he even addressed her by her real name. He left the planet with Kim on the Aphelion. As he made his way to the next sector, Azimuth transmitted to him, apologizing for not finding him as he had no idea that he was still alive and that from then on, he has a family. Ratchet, however, seemed to care more about Kim.

While Ratchet made his way to the Korthos Sector, he chatted with Wade about what he found out regarding the Tempus Simia. He found out that it was a mystical monkey relic with the ability to travel through time. Wade didn't believe that there was such a thing as a mystical monkey relic, but Ratchet was more than convinced of otherwise, prompting him to believe that Kim and Ron traveled through time at one point. Wade didn't believe that they did as there were no records of them actually traveling through time, but Ratchet believed that it's because time travel is very complex and that Kim and Ron may have done something to erase any indications of them having actually done it. He also pointed out the many reasons why he believed that they did, being that their conditions were caused by the time anomalies and also finding out that Kim's headaches were caused by so many memories flooding into her mind, believing that they could be memories of when she traveled through time and after hearing what the Tempus Simia was, it made sense. Wade also began to suspect being the case. As they were wondering what had happened during their time traveling adventure, Ratchet heard Kim mentioning something about Drakken and Shego, making him believe that Drakken and Shego had something to do with the epidemic. His conversation with Wade was cut short by the sound of Ron screaming, to which Wade needed to tend to right away.

Ratchet then looked towards Kim, still concerned about her as he touches her face and addresses her by her real name. They eventually arrived at the Quartos Sector where they were confronted by 3 Valkyries, Cassiopeia, Carina and Libra, who were followers of Nefarious. Cassiopeia and Carina left to chase after Azimuth while Libra fought against the duo, with Kim regaining consciousness just in time. After they defeated her, they arrived on Lumos, where Ratchet endured having Azimuth insult Kim repeatedly. He also listened in on the stories of when Azimuth and Kaiden, Ratchet's father, were kids playing around within the mines. When Ratchet asked what happened to his father and the Lombaxes, Azimuth dodged his questions.

Eventually, Ratchet pestered him enough to get him to tell the story of what happened to the Lombaxes. He entrusted Lombax technology to someone who claimed to be an inventor but that inventor turned out to be Tachyon and used their own ingenuity against them, causing the them to escape into another dimension. However, Azimuth was left behind as he was forbidden from going with them. From there, he promised Ratchet that he would get his family back by using the clock to go back in time and prevent the mistake from happening. Kim tried to convince him that using the clock might be too dangerous, Azimuth lashed out at her and wanted her to stay away from Ratchet if she were to hinder them again like he believed. Despite using the clock being favorable, Ratchet did side with Kim on the possibility of this being too dangerous as he had already talked about this with Wade.

As soon as they exited the cave, they ran into a village of Vullards being attacked by the Agorians. Ratchet and Kim agreed to help them out, but Azimuth wanted no part in this. However, he changed his mind when the Vullard promised to take them to where the Obsidian Eye is in exchange for helping them. From there, the group fought against the Agorians. After chasing them away, the Vullard brought them to a cave where the Obsidian Eye was.

They spent an enormous amount of time trekking through the cave until they found the Obsidian Eye. There, Kim and Ratchet were able to contact Clank for the first time in an entire year. They also found out that Rufus was with him, much to their relief. Ratchet intended on retrieving Clank, however, Clank asked them to make their way to Zanifar to rescue Orvus. From that, Clank had Sigmund open a time portal for them on that planet.

Azimuth left before the duo. Kim suffered from another dizzy spell, Ratchet tended to her as she mentioned Ron, then seemed apologetic to him for some reason. They were able to leave the planet and meet up with Azimuth again. He informed Ratchet that if they were to succeed with turning back time, then he may not be able to remember Clank and Kim. He seemed conflicted by this but was willing to accept it if that were true.

As they flew through space, he and Kim were informed of Ron feeling better but throwing up a lot. This shocked them because Ron hasn't eaten for days. Then Ratchet remembered what he and Wade talked about. He tried to inform Kim about what they talked about when they were interrupted by a transmission from Qwark. He told them that after a lie he told the Agorians, they entered him into a tournament on board the Battleplex and was terrified like he always was. Both he and Kim were annoyed by Qwark's transmission, but left to help him out of yet another jam that he got himself into.

Upon arriving at the Battleplex, they ran into Lilo and Stitch for the first time since they were still in the Solona Galaxy. The duo told them about what they've been up to since they last met, with them saying that they found and rehabilitated all of Stitch's cousin. They then left to proceed to the arena for Stitch's next match. Ratchet did the same with Kim.

The duo fought through battle after battle with Qwark being nowhere in sight. Then they took part in a 4-man team battle where they found Qwark. Stitch also joined the fight and they fought through enemies through the match. Ratchet was tired from the fights but Stitch was raring to continue. They were soon faced with fighting a massive beast known as the War Grok. Qwark ran away streaming while Kim, Ratchet and Stitch were left to fight the beast. After the match, Ratchet was still being chased around by the beast while Kim and Stitch were helping him out. The announcer then told them that they had to kill the War Grok with Qwark stepping in and telling that he refused to have the beast killed, then offered his life in exchange for sparing it. The Agorians were honored by this with the announcer mentioning that Qwark is a True Hero. Ratchet was helped up by Kim and Stitch while Qwark tended to the Wark Grok while he was treating it like a massive dog and then a massive stallion. The trio was weirded out by this but also impressed.

They returned to the lobby where Lilo was waiting for them. Stitch returned to her and Ratchet and Kim said their goodbyes and left the Battleplex to continue on to Zanifar.

Along the way, they were able to chat with Wade and they were able to see Ron who was done screaming. Ratchet mentioned that he looked worse than what was mentioned. He also had a chance to see and chat with Kim's parents. They were then asked to be departed and Wade mentioned that he found from Ron's bile traces of ingredients from a norwegian dish known as meat cakes. When Kim questioned how that's even possible since he had never eaten meat cakes before, Ratchet went on to tell her about the conversation that he had with Wade; that Kim and Ron had traveled through time before. They also mentioned that it could be the cause of her headaches since the memories of her time travel epidemic is flooding back into mind and since her mind was having a tough time processing all of it, that was why she was having those headaches. Before they could go any further, they received a transmission from Azimuth about Vorselon arriving with the sector. He intended on keeping him busy while Kim and Ratchet make their way for Zanifar.

When they arrived on the planet, they were shocked to see that it was a frozen wasteland. They soon found themselves in what looked like a boot camp owned by Dr. Nefarious. They also found some fongoids imprisoned within the camp. They were informed about how to shut down the place and so they made their way to help them. With a little help from Wade, they were able to shut down the facility and freed the fongoids. They took notice of the time rift that was opened up by Clank and made their way to it. They were warned by Wade that they wouldn't be able to contact him as soon as they passed through it and went through.

When they made it through, they arrived at the same area but 2 years earlier. He took notice of Kim collapsing on to her knees and tended to her. After she recovered, she told him that she saw her younger self almost as though she was looking right at her then told him that he was right about her and Ron having traveled through time. From there, they continued on with their journey. They noticed the difference in how the placed looked 2 years ago as compared by how it looked in the present, but were creeped out by the brainwashed fongoids and went on with trying to find Orvus.

The duo used what they were able to find in both the past and the present to make their way to the main building of the area. There, they fought through the interior and found Orvus. He was being held by Dr. Nefarious and was being forced to tell him how to get into the chamber. However, Orvus had been resistant to the torturous methods of making her talk. When Orvus mentioned that the Great Clock shouldn't be used as a time machine because it wasn't made to be one, Ratchet discussed with Kim about there being another issue going on, with Nefarious and Azimuth treating it like a time machine. After Orvus disappeared, an image of Clank was displayed where he was held. This caused Ratchet to say Clank's name outloud, blowing his and Kim's cover. The duo escaped but not before leaving a nasty blow to Nefarious' face that appeared in the present.

After Kim and Ratcher returned to the present, Ratchet lamented on how there was no way to bring his parents back. When Kim tried to comfort him, he snapped at her that he was willing to accept this and was relieved that at least he didn't have worry about Kim fading out of his life. They returned to the ship where Lord Vorselon contacted them, showing them that he had Azimuth in a cage. He invited them to come to his ship and try and retrieve him. From there, they both mutually agreed that they needed to rescue Azimuth and left the planet.

As they flew out into space, they spotted Vorselon's ship and fought their way in. They fought through the ship until they ran into Vorselon, himself. The duo demanded him to tell them where Azimuth was being held, but he refused to talk and fought them instead. After they destroyed his second exosuit, he fled the scene with Ratchet screaming at him to tell him where Azimuth was, but he and Kim proceeded to try and find him on their own.

They evenutually found where he was being held. Upon reaching him, Azimuth demanded the duo to leave without him but they refused and proceeded to deactivate the cage that he was in. When he was freed, he was furious with them for not doing what said. His anger subsided when Ratchet told him about what he and Kim had been doing. But then, the ship's alarm went off and they proceeded to try and exit.

They fought through the ship all the way to the hanger where Azimuth hacked a nearby computer to try and get the door open while Kim and Ratchet fought off many robots. They were evetually able to escape. As they flew through space, Azimuth revealed to them that he was able to retrieve coordinates to the Bernilius Sector. They then made their way to the next sector as fast as they could.

Arriving in the next sector, they picked up on a signal that Ratchet recognized, which was coming from a nearby planet, Vapedia. They were about to rush off when they were stopped by Carina. He and Kim defeated her and landed on the planet. They fought their way through where they ran into Cassiopeia, who mentioned that Clank had done his part. Azimuth went after Cassiopeia while Kim and Ratchet fought through together. Fighting through one area after another, falling into a few death traps, they fought off against the valkeries. They eventually ran into Rufus who led them into a chamber were Cassiopeia was holding Clank. They fought her off with some help from Rufus. They were able to defeat her and save Clank.

Later on, they met back with Azimuth at his ship. They lamented about not being able to save Orvus, but Clank believed that there wasn't anything that could have been done while stating that Nefarious needs to pay for what he had done. Azimuth then went on to mention him wanting to bring back the Lombaxes, but Clank told him that such a thing won't be possible without risking the safety of the entire universe. Kim brought in her own 2 cents, reminding him of the promise they made to not even attempt it if it turns out to be too dangerous. Azimuth claimed that she had held him back but Ratchet backed up Kim and Clank's claims that it was too dangerous then stated that Kim never held them back. Azimuth left in anger and the trio proceeded to leave for Nefarious' base.

During the flight to the space station, they called up Wade to show him that they had found and reunited with Clank and Rufus. Ron also took notice and was so happy to see them again. They filled Clank in on what Kim and Ron had been going through with Clank having realized that the Great Clock breaking was the cause of their conditions. Wade then mentioned what he and Ratchet talked about involving the possibility that Kim and Ron had traveled through time before and that the headaches and stomachaches were caused by them recalling what had occurred during those events as well as what Ron had eaten then. After the call, they continued towards the space station with Ratchet having realized that Kim still has feelings for him when Ron told her that she knew what it is that she had to do since she was with him again.
