Rana is a Japanese VOCALOID originally developed by We've Inc. in collaboration with Internet Co., Ltd. and was released for the VOCALOID3 engine in September 2014. Her VOCALOID4 update was developed by We've Inc. and distributed by YAMAHA in December 2015. She is voiced by Ai Kakuma (加隈亜衣; Kakuma Ai), a Japanese voice actress.

Her VOCALOID3 voicebank was only obtainable through the magazine, Vocalo-P ni Naritai.[2] Due to the method of obtaining Rana's VOCALOID3 voicebank, she was a Japan-exclusive VOCALOID and it was impossible to receive a full version of her voicebank if people did not have a Japanese address to send the tickets from.[3] She is the first VOCALOID released with permanent restrictions preventing overseas users from obtaining her full copy due to legal reasons.[4] However, since her release on the VOCALOID4 engine, she was made available to overseas fans. She is voiced by Ai Kakuma.

Rana made a debut during the combined assaults of Richter Scale Terrorist Federation, Team Geats, and the Evil Kamen Riders on innocent Pretty Cures and many friendly aliens. She was shocked that the many human villains hated innocent Pretty Cures and many friendly aliens so much. During the Evil Kamen Riders' reign of terror, Rana sets off to meet her human friends for the first time.
