The InGen Pteranodon also called the Pteranodons or Pteras are clones of the large species of Pteranodon longiceps created by InGen as a attraction for the original Jurassic Park but the specimens where never transported and left on Isla Sorna, in the early 2000s another generation of Pteranodons were created for future Jurassic World exhibition but were deemed to aggressive and left behind on Sorna, finally in 2008 a new and final generation of Pteranodons were created and displayed in Jurassic World and later escaped and now fly over the Isla Nublar. The Pteranodons are mainly known for the capability to fly using their massive wings, they can also use their small yet strong legs to pick up and drop foes with ease. The Pteranodons are quite large being about 6 feet / 2 meters tall, with a wingspan of 10 - 16 feet / 3 - 5 meters, and a weight of 55 - 120 pounds. The Pteranodons are identifiable by their large crest on the animals head, with the males having bigger crest than the females. The Pteranodons have amazing agility and speeds, they also have amazing eyesight. The Pteranodons are also quite beautiful yet dangerous, giving them a almost Harpy like feeling or idea as they along with one other canon clone are the only InGen Clones that could easily fly to the Mainland but chooses to live on Nublar and Sorna.
Generation One Pteranodons[]

Two Gen One Pteranodons
The Generation One Pteranodons also called the Lost World Pteranodons, Gen One Pteranodons, and Gen One Pteras were the very first generation Pteranodons created by InGen on Isla Sorna as a planned attraction for a unbuilt aviary for the Original Jurassic Park. The Gen One Pteranodons are more like that of the Generation Three Pteranodons than the one to come after them, they even had small amounts of fluff or pycnofibers on them. The Gen One Pteranodons often live in small flocks mainly in the numbers of 4 - 9 members. The Gen One Pteras also have the smallest crest and legs of the other generations of Pteranodons created by InGen. These Pteranodons can only be found on Isla Sorna.

Generation Two Pteranodons[]

a Second Generation Pteranodon
The Generation Two Pteranodons also called the Jurassic Park 3 Pteranodons, Gen Two Pteranodons, and the Gen Two Pteras are the 2nd and next generation of Pteranodons created by InGen for Jurassic World in secret, but the new Pteranodons were extremely aggressive and completely uncontrollable and were kept in the new bird cage meant to contain them but later escaped and now rule Isla Sorna. These Pteranodons are known for having a very defining feature, that their beaks are filled with sharp teeth, something completely exclusive to this generation of Pteranodons. The Gen Two Pteras are also the biggest and most pronounced of the Generations, They have the biggest Crest of the others. These Pteranodons often worked and hunted in packs mainly to feed their young.

Generation Three Pteranodons[]

Gen Three Pteranodons
The Generation Three Pteranodons also called the Jurassic World Pteranodons, Gen Three Pteranodons, and the Gen Three Pteras are the third and last generation of Pteranodons created by InGen as a attraction for Jurassic World, they are the only Pteranodons that can be found on Isla Nublar. The Pteranodons were the ones seen as the main features of the Jurassic World Aviary, although they did escape and now fly over Isla Nublar mainly preferring to live by the Lagoon and Beachside. These Pteranodons are mainly noted by the large red or blue crest. The Pteranodons are the medium sized, smaller than the Generation Two Pteras and bigger than the first generation ones. The Gen Three Pteras are also very attractive to bright lights during the night, and will attack anything that is bright enough.
