Maria Rivera is the nice and caring mother of Manny Rivera and ex-wife of Rodolfo Rivera.
Her super hero form is Plata Peligrosa, initially enjoying her crime fighting abilities, the super-heroine lifestyle proved to be dangerously addictive, to the point where she felt that it's necessary to give it up in order to preserve her life. Though she still picks it up every time despite the insanity caused due to the Glove.

She arrived to save Lincoln and Lydia from El Mal Verde in Miracle City. She is aware of who Lydia is in part to the family that she was born around here and her parents came here. Maria was aware Lydia is here on her own and decides to accompany both her and Lincoln for her friends the Lopezs who she talks to at her place of work. While Maria considering calling their parents, she lets the two stay around seeing what they did against El Mal Verde but does warn Lydia that what will happen if her parents know she came here they got away from here to make sure she wasn't killed by the dangers of Miracle City as a baby.
Episode 3[]
Maria arrives back from the two's talk to discuss her powers and situation with the glove as well as well as what El Mar Verde is up to, while getting other senors and senoritas involved. Lydia discusses it and what she had to deal with. Maria encourages Lydia to stay on her path as it will end with being toughter, more attractive and smarter then her tortmentors as she matures and how she saw greatness in Lydia like her own parents. It also becomes know that she found and managed to put an android back who Lydia also knows to assist and serve as security if needed for her. The 4 head to San Angel upon her fellow ally informs them of possible trouble
This is also when she smells a plot being surmised by El Mal Verde's conspirators and decides to see how the kids once again wanting them to learn and see what being a hero is really. Upon Stopping in San Angel, Speedy comes to get them regarding Nasty Casata and Pancho Vanilla
Episode 4[]
Joining Speedy Gonzales, she goes down with Lincoln, Lydia and 16 and find Nasty and El Mar Verde trying to find the Medallion of Life. She and Speedy join up to go after Nasty where she goes after the bandits that were under Chakai as she identifies. She almost goes crazy after enough fighting but is saven by the ruler of the forgotten Xialablia who removes the glove and helps deal with the bandits.
Also meeting La Muerte they assisted her due to her being related to the famous bull fighter they told his story too or his wife and all that. Speedy and Plata decide to get back to their own allies who was Carmilta Fox, Carmen and Daffy Duck who all working with her and Speedy to go after the Cartel as Xillaba keeps them guarded so no one tries anything on them as his wife is with Android 16, Lydia and Lincoln.
Upon getting some intel from a wild card about Midas they decide to go after it with Maria deciding to stay in the back due to the power, she protests bringing the kids with her at first, but 16 helps convine her as do the kids as Maria entrusted 16 with them and she sees something in them as does he.
Episode 5[]
Maria joins her allies in heading to the biggest body of water in Mexico as Carmen discovers for them as she is keeping track of what she knows is going down on the Cartel actions through her encounter with El Mar Verde. Upon being at their destination she and the other ladies decide to investigate openly as she is not putting the kids in the crosshairs of Hector Salamanca and The Cousins. She discovers a water plan with the eccentric business owner Pi-Pi and through their contact Doug Judy as well as Bunny and Claude that it's a front for the boss that Pi-Pi is answering as he is just an emisssary.
Later recovering info from the others, she is trying to put things together about the bodies in the water and considers using her profession to look more into this as Carmen agrees. Daffy and Speedy also infrom her that they will work with Bunny and Claude to keep info on the situation as well as Doug Judy.
Episode 6[]
As Carmen and Carmelta present the info that they found through Doug Judy and episonage, Maria is questioning what this had to do with Midas and Pi-Pi's water parks and what is Doug Judy informing them of. She objects to using Lincoln and Lydia to go undercover despite the latter's insistence to go through with this and the former deciding to take an opporunity to show someone he looks up into the spying he can be one like her. Maria says that she had made a promise not to put them in any harms for the sakes of The Lopezs, though Carmen does tell her that she will help if needed and Maria can still watch in case anything is up.
She eventually agrees with this and joins 16 and Carmelita in keeping tabs on the events as they unfold in Lincoln and Lydia's day at Pi-Pi's water park to see if they have anyone following them. Carmen does inform that she does see Doug Stamper. Maria is about ready to go Plata Peligrosa on Stamper, but the fox stops her as it will expose their activities to Pi-Pi or worse get them kicked out of the park.
To her relief they lose Doug, but she does feel some uncertainly that someone was watching them.
Act 2[]
Episode 7[]
Maria and her friends do their investigation on the found corpses in the lake and finding others as well. Using her book knowledge, she does manage to discover why salt water was spefically placed in the lungs of them which makes her suspect someone was trying to get of anything that could be exposed. She discovers Lincoln and Lydia went off on their own and she taking their safety seriously, she and Carmelita go to get them before The Cousins go to kill them
Thankfully they were safe, but she isn't pleased with this and tells the two they need to be more careful and how this is not a game and one bad move could get them killed. Carmen does offer to take care of this for her in other matters. As they find the rest of 16's friends.
Episode 8[]
Maria decides to let Carmen look after the kids as she decides to follow Speedy and Daffy when it comes to their hunch on their intel that something went down with them, she does seem pretty serious when it comes to protecting Lydia and Lincoln as she is questioning if she may the right choice leaving them with Carmen. She told Lydia and Lincoln's parents they were down here and that she will bring them home.
Being brought to the lab, they notice what happened with Doug Judy and are told by Frank Underwood and Dr.Orm what happened. Unknownist to her, Midas spiked her drink like Daffy's so she can loco in withdrawl and putting on the Glove to kill off her allies. Thankfully Speedy and Carmelita are able to detain her and keep her from doing so. Before the other kids come back.
Episode 9[]
Joining her friends and team, they go to the recycling lab Team Rocket was able to get the team into. She takes the Bliss situation seriously due to what Midas did to her and she advocates to have the factory beyond repair. Maria does note that the group do have the Bliss Recipe and advises to destroy it while she helps deal with the Cartel situation when they arrive on spot
When Deathstroke tries to insure both Lydia and Lincoln to head home so he can deal with the situation, Maria says that the Lopezs and Louds both know they are here and she is keeping an eye on them for their parents. Though she decides to trust Pyrrha to keep them safe with 16, realizing she is being a bit overprotective of them like she was of her son.
Episode 10[]
Joining 16, Maria goes to help with dealing with what Midas has in mind with his acid rain plans. With the team, they find the base where Midas's evil pokemon criminals are using their pokemon to make an acid rain. She helps put this to bay and helps Deathstroke's associates and The Multiversal Resistance with this.
Maria and Carmelita decide that they will go looking for this guy and deal with the criminals at hand and they will go to do the job. Lincoln and Lydia are left with 16, Toby, Aaron and the group
Episode 11[]
Maria spills that she is heading to the border alongside Carmelita that they are getting the Louds and Lopezs and bringing them here to pick up Lincoln and Lydia to keep them away from the Cartel and Judge Holden. Maria doesn't deny they are good kids but this situation is something that they both have gotten themselves in over their head and she has doubts that she can keep Lydia safe for her parents and doesn't want to put harm on Lincoln either. This baffles Carmen who has faith in them despite this.
Carmelita, Carmen, Daffy, Speedy and Maria all arrive at the border and wait as they await the arrival of the Lopezs and Louds like Maria managed to call.
Episode 12[]
Carmen, Maria and Caremlita have a showdown with The Salamancas who are intend to use the kids' parents as leverage. With Guns akin from them and Riff Raff who taken on Carmen who and Carmelita who are also using guns and Maria using her glove to defend against them. As everyone is intend to defend each other.
As the others go against the Salamancas and Riff Raff, this is when Judge Holden arrives and causes the Salamancas to flee yet again as he intends to arrest and kill the heroes just like the Salamancas who flee as their intend to kill him to no avail. Daffy and Speedy arrive back to inform them they didn't see neither Lincoln or Lydia's parents but find Holden who they all attempt to deal with. Lydia, Lincoln, Toby and 16 all eventually return and they witness the carriage a half hour later.
