Patamon

Patamon is a cute Mammal Digimon whose name and design are derived from the onomatopoeia for flapping (ぱたぱた Patapata^?). He is characterized by his large ears and is able to fly through the air by using them as large wings, but because he only goes at a speed of 1 kph, it is said that he is definitely faster walking.

However, he's very popular because his appearance is cute when he is desperately flying (though it seems that he doesn't feel the same). Due to his extremely obedient personality, anyone who trains him are well-defended. Also, even though Patamon doesn't wear a Holy Ring, he is able to exhibit his hidden holy power, and appears to have inherited the genes of ancient Digimon.

Ultimate Story

He appeared along with his Digi-Destined, Banjo, Kazooie, and Misty as they were training Kari to become a Fairy at the Isle o' Hags; this takes place after the Journey through Kanto.
