Oliver "Ollie" Chen is a major supporting character of The Ghost and Molly McGee. He is a Chinese-American boy who’s the neighbor/love interest of Molly McGee and a ghost hunter.
Ollie seems to be Molly McGee's ideal man, for on top of being well groomed, he’s also the kind of person who puts as much passion into making the world a better place as she does via community work and spreading happiness, as hinted by how he looked at the pamphlets Molly created and said: "Whoever wrote these completely gets me."
However, much like the rest of his family, he's also passionate about ghost hunting, happily revealing it to Molly when she asks if he believes in ghosts. It's been revealed that Ollie has a sense of obligation to his family, as the reason they are ghost hunters to being with is because his father was terrified and traumatized by a specter as a boy, and to that end, Ollie states nobody should live in fear like his dad had, thus leading to him and his sister happily going along with their "ghosts are evil" upbringing. However, Ollie is more open minded than the rest of the family, leading him to secretly question his path in life when he finds out Molly's secret yet doesn't mention it to his parents. After getting to know ghosts firsthand and because of how he feels about Molly, he ultimately decided to go against everything his parents ever thought him to help protect Scratch.

Ollie goes to see Molly respectfully after she saw Libby respectfully, and with June he learns about the major haunting that occrued in the multiverse He and his sister join up with Marcy and the others respectfully and decides if he can't have Scratch caught for his parents, he will go after and catch evil ghosts. All the way meeting Slade's ghost allies respectively,
Heading to the Ghost Zone, he prepares to go after the ghosts Freakshow has unleashed with his sister and he especially targets Undergrowth out of intent of what he did to Molly earlier. Regarding what The Grundel did, he saves his sister from The Grundel respectively and continues his hunt for the ghosts to get them sent to the Dimension of Failed Phantoms
Ollie manages to reclaim plenty of the Season 3 Danny Phantom Ghosts with his sister and they decide to make it shown to their parents. Ollie and the others then work together with everyone and the ghost busters to deal with Freakshow's Horror Army
He is given the numbers to the Ghostbusters as they want to endorse the Chens and their ghost busting profession.

Book 3: Culmination[]
He and The Mar Mar Gang are brought in on Libby's behalf and Ollie has already learned of Molly's own demise and he wants to avenge her death at the hands of Redneb, which Bender and Libby are working on dealing with him. He had already had an idea that Anne was special as well as Marcy Wu and decides to assist Anne in training her with her Calamity Powers before heading back to see King Andrias's attack on Newtopia while deciding to aid Bender, Slade, Anne and Sasha to save Marcy. Ollie asks if he can help Bender kill Redneb considering things as while he isn't vengeful, he can't let someone who killed his girlfriend get away with what he did.
Book 4: Falling Climax[]
June and Ollie assist The rest of the Mar Mar Gang in their attempts to stop King Andiras and N.Tropy from causing untold damage to the multiverse and are able to be successful in their attempt which results in the disbanding of the team which ends being devastating for them.
