The Ogdru Jahad, also known as the Seven Gods of Chaos and the Dragon of Revelation, are seven ancient deities who seek to cause the end of the Earth during Raganrok.
Overview[]
The seven deities were originally created by the Watcher-spirirts, the first angels of God, who made them out of mud and Vril (God's fire of creation). The dragons woke when night came, filling them with the will to install chaos and discord upon creation.
The seven spawned 369 creatures, the Ogdru Hem, and began to battle with the Watchers. While the angels managed to defeat the dragons and their children, they could not kill or undo them. The Ogdru Hem were either imprisoned or cast into outer space, while Ogdru Jahad were locked up in the Abyss, inside a cage of crsytal.
The original Watcher who designed the seven, Anum, was betrayed by his kin, who destroyed him completely, save for his right hand, which became the key to the cage of the Ogdru Jahad. The hand would put on catholically-raised cambion Hellboy by his demonic father.
Ever since being imprisoned in the Abyss, the Seven Gods of Chaos would seek to be unleashed from their prison to bring for the end of the world, with many mortal and supernatural agents bending to their will.
