Dr. Nitrus Brio (a.k.a. N. Brio) is a scientist who formerly worked under Neo Cortex. Brio's loyalty has fluctuated throughout the Crash Bandicoot series, working on his own accord in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, with Nefarious Tropy in Crash Twinsanity, and even returning to Cortex's side in Crash: Mind Over Mutant and Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time. His name is a play on the word "embryo" (a fact that he himself alludes to in Mind Over Mutant).
Countdown[]
He is revealed to been an associate to Deathstroke's and one of his scientists. He was called in to help him and his crew deal with the ongoing alien invasions and use his laser to destroy any alien life by using Asteroids to crash down on the others.
After wards, he regroups with the crew and looks into the time effects that occurred at the hands of Lydia, Lincoln, Bender and their future associates at the Spear Pillar. He sends Bender the message about the Demogrgons to look into and who might be a help for them.

N.Brio resurfaced when Frank Underwood makes his own enterance against him and helps deal with Frank and the Cartel all the time

Book 2: Interlude[]
N.Brio was helping Deathstroke undercover what was really going on and finds Team Free Will and Bender's gang to inform them of what he has found. He was able to find the Gems of the Crash Bandicoot Universe are a key to all this. He also thinks on the Crystals as well and that their mastermind is the one behind all this. Brio ends up handing out the locations for everyone to use for them all.
Brio almost gets brainwashed by N.Trance but Team Free Will does ulitimately step in to help him and through dealing with him, They all discover N.Tropy's hand in all this. This makes sense to some of the heroes as Crash and Coco did have ties to Slade and The V team.
Brio then manages to find Morando's ship and helps the heroes find it so they can deal with the situation. Brio then helps Deathstroke as a result of him having to go on the run with Tek Knight's exposure of them.
Book 3: Culmination[]
N.Brio continues to establish an contact with Team Free Will about the gems and crystals and how they are still a bit away from completing their goal. He does manage to discover that the damaged time periods N.Tropy had a hand in and tells The Streaming Resistance, Johanna, Jaune, Lydia and Lincoln about it over communcation as he helps the group find their gems and crystals. Afterwards he and Deathstroke find the team and N.Brio uses the gems and Crystals to begin his grand laser plan to attack N.Tropy's space lab like what he did to Cortex.
Book 4: Falling Climax[]
N.Brio helps The heroes destroy N.Tropy's space station and insures the heroes can defeat him before he is snapped out of existence. While he does come back, he learns of Deathstroke and some of his associates have passed on and this means he may be out of a job. This does indeed happen, Though N.Brio does however find happiness doing bartending work like he always wanted.
