Neil Wheedon Watkins Pye is a character of The Young Ones.
He is portrayed by Nigel Planer.
Neil is the hippie of the of the group. He is a clinically depressed, pacifist, vegetarian and environmentalist working towards a Peace Studies degree. He is victimised by the other housemates, mainly Rick and Vyvyan, and is forced to do the housework, including cleaning, shopping, and cooking. He is never acknowledged for his housework unless it goes wrong.
