Moon Butterfly is the mother of Star Butterfly and former queen of mewni. Moon first started off as a supporting protagonist for most of the series, until season 4 where it is revealed that she was helping Mina Loveberry and the High Commission to overthrown Eclipsa Butterfly. Only for Mina to betray her. Which leads to her helping Star in the end.

Mina brought in the rest of the comission to help her in her plans to go after Eclpisa and Sid respectfully as they are threats to them and their hold over Mewni/Earth.
Chapter 5[]
Moon and the Comission are ambushed in turn by Celes and her crew to save the others as she is guarding the heroes for Mina to kill Sid due to Moon and the commission seeing her as a threat to them. Upon the ambush, Moon recognizes Bender and tries to tell him he's doing wrong by helping them even though she herself is doing wrong by siding with Mina.
With Mina, Moon and the Comission try to kill Sid straight up only to flee upon Sid's potential coming out on Mina and the others having them flee to back to the caslte
She and the Conmission are locked in place by Anti Fairy Magic and the Anti Fairies and they are beaten up and lose to the castle to Bender, Slade, Anti Cosmo, Darius, Raine and Eberwolf.
Chapter 6[]
Moon and the Comission follow Eclpisa and her group to Fairy World and try to bring them in peacefully though Rhombolus is less willing to follow this wanting revenge on Eclipsa, Bender, Slade, Anti Cosmo and the coven heads for kicking him out of his castle.
She and the comission go face to face with Eclipsa and her crew and they are defeated respectfully as the Fairies help them against them
SHe and Omni start to reconsider helpling Mina with her plans while Rhombolus is still content on helping out and killing Sid for her. They still have to help Belos as if they don't they will be killed by The Draining Spell.
Chapter 8[]
Moon and the Comission fight Slade's empire and are killed by the group, though Moon allows herself to be killed as she came to a realization it was wrong to help Mina and Belos.
