"It's a cold, hard galaxy we live in. Isolated civilizations who create theories that they are alone in the universe, in their own arrogance thinking they are the center of the universe. But no matter what happens to this galaxy, the cycle will continue." |
The Milky Way galaxy, also known as Original Milky Way and Prime Milky Way is a barred spiral galaxy containing between two and four hundred billion stars, is the setting for the events of CIS Productions stories inside of the Lynenta Omniverse. The Milky Way galaxy was one of the billions of galaxies that existed in the Prime Universe. Composed of some four hundred billion stars in a disk 120,000 light-years in diameter, the galaxy was orbited by seven smaller satellite galaxies, of which five were directly accessible by the time of the arrival of Balam Alliance.
The Milky Way galaxy was home to between 4 and 13 million sentient species, and over one hundred quintillion sentient beings lived in two billion star systems, interacting with each other through travel, diplomacy, trade, politics, and war with only a few other million species yet to be discovered like humans in Prime Earth that were yet to be introduced to the galactic community. In historical memory, this galaxy had been ruled by the Divinos, Dark Stars, Gods, Taken, Revelation of Qliphoth, Triggers Hell, Deus.Ex.Machina Empire, the New DEM Republic and was home to the Spiral-using orders, Spirits and ExKriegs.
While the original concept of LOTM: Sword of Kings was to go deep into other universes and explore other galaxies, the Milky Way galaxy was left in the dark for too long until the authors decided to bring it back to light and transform it in the main setting to explore and expand the home-galaxy of all CIS characters. The Original Milky Way galaxy is the original counterpart of the real-life Milky Way galaxy known to us located in the Prime Universe of the 0th Multi-Universe, hence why it has so many differences compared to the real Milky Way galaxy.
Description[]
Overview[]

The galaxy was between 100,000 and 120,000 light-years across and approximately 45 billion years old. The galaxy's luminous disk contained some four hundred billion stars, of which around a quarter had been properly surveyed by the galactic community by the time of the Deus.Ex.Machina Empire. The luminous disk revolved around the Galactic Center, a supermassive black hole that massed as much as four million suns. As late as the arrival of DEM and Balam Alliance, only probe droids had ever visited the black hole at Galactic Center.
The galaxy bulged around Galactic Center to form a bright sphere known as the Eternal Core. This region was around seven thousand light-years across and contained some thirty billion tightly-compacted stars. Towards the center the stars of the Deep Core were only around a hundredth of a light-year apart, and were known to collide and rip out each other's stellar cores. Most of the stars of the luminous galaxy were in a disk of spiral arms rotating around the Deep Core. Galactic civilization named four spiral arms: the Heksai Arm, the Vaitan arm, the South Arm, and the Vringel Arm. The brightest supergiant stars were concentrated in the spiral arms, as well as glowing clouds of gas and dust, which contributed to the apparent gaps between the arms even though those areas were full of stars.
Most stars were within a thousand light-years above or below the plane of the luminous disk, forming a two thousand-light-year region known as the "thin disk". For three thousand, five hundred light-years on either side was the "thick disk", which was poorer in stars than the thin disk and even fewer of these had a system of planets.
Stars[]
While there was a hyperspace disturbance outside of the galaxy, Quantum Hole made it possible within the galaxy to have an enormous and diverse civilization. Of the galaxy's 400 billion stars, around 180 billion of them were orbited by a system of planets. 90% of the stars of the galaxy fell within the Main Sequence (the other 10% comprised protostars or stellar remnants like white dwarfs, neutron stars and black holes). The larger blue and white stars of the sequence - the O-, B-, and A-type stars - lived for a few million years and rarely possessed systems that had intelligent life since it had too little time to evolve. The most habitable stars were G- and K-type yellow and orange dwarfs, which had lifespans of tens of billions of years giving life plenty of time to evolve. G- and K-types between them made up 19% of the galaxy's stars, and 75% of them were habitable.
The most common stars in the galaxy, however, were M-type red dwarfs, which comprised 70% of the galaxy's stars, but only 1% of them, such as Barab, were habitable. Very few red dwarfs were settled: most were surveyed by probe droids in the early years of the Galactic Republic and were typically left abandoned unless they possessed mineable resources. Factoring in the output of heat and light needed for an advanced civilization to form, therefore, there were 7.1 billion truly habitable stars within the galaxy, and about 3.2 billion habitable star systems. It was estimated that about one billion of those systems were actually populated or had been settled by sentient beings in a long gone past.
Divino Halo[]

Beyond the thick disk was the halo, a huge sphere surrounding the entire galaxy with a few billion stars in highly elliptical orbits. Nearly two hundred globular clusters orbited in this region. The globular clusters were typically lifeless, packing hundreds of thousands of extremely old, inhospitable stars into only a hundred light-years. Many of the globular clusters, however, were considered extremely beautiful sights.
The Milky Way galaxy was orbited by seven dwarf satellite galaxies, some of which contained twenty billion stars. They were ranked in order of distance. The closest was Arak, also known as the Rishinizi, a complex tangle of stars high above the galactic plane. Biten, also known as Flare, was some 150,000 light-years away from the galaxy and had only ever been surveyed by probots. The other satellite galaxies, Companions Victin through Greenke, were much further out. Most of the Companions galaxeis were described as having ancient, metal-poor remnants of stars and not much life. A hyperspace disturbance beyond the edge of the galaxy severely complicated hyperspace travel outside the disk and generally discouraged extra-galactic exploration.
A band of whorls and eddies that spun around the galaxy too quickly to be traversed at faster-than-light speeds, a number of astrophysicists believed this to be a creation of a mysterious ancient race known as the Divinos that somehow disappeared from the galaxy without leaving traces. Some believe that the Divinos decided to travel across other galaxies for exploration or were systematically wiped out by some unknown force more than 5 to 10 billion years ago.
Beyond the galaxy, separating it from other galaxies, was a vast expanse of starless space known as the Intergalactic Void were it was theorized where Taken are born through Nezperdian Omniverse tunnels that connect to the empty void of all universes.
Population[]
Of the galaxy's one billion settled systems, the majority of these were lightly-settled colonies of little note that were often not even marked on sector maps. The Cmell sector, for instance, contained thirty-six worlds that were sufficiently populated to merit representation in the DEM Republic, but also contained 40,000 settled dependencies, in addition to 300,000,000 barren, unsettled stars.
During the days of the DEM Empire more than 69 million systems met the requirements for DEM representation, and 1.75 million planets were considered full member worlds. The population of the nearly 70 million systems that the Empire was responsible for amounted to more than 100 quintillion beings.
Ancient History[]
Prehistoric Times (Unknown B.C. - c. 40,000,000,000 B.C.)[]
Some 45 billion years ago, an immense cloud of gas and dust collapsed under its own gravity and coalesced to form a revolving disk, creating the galaxy. Over many more billions of years, the stars and planets began to form.
By 43,000,000,000 BBY, life had begun to evolve in the galaxy, with some of the earliest examples of non-sentient life developing on Celestia Planet. Around 41,000,000 BBY, many of the galaxy's most well-known species were evolving: the Divinos began on Celestia as a species of tree-climbers until they were visited by Ara Astaroth, granting them intelligence and god-like powers in exchange of tribute. The Sword of Kings, quite possibly the oldest artifact known in the entire omniverse is stolen from Paradise by Leohart the Prince of Hell but ends up being lost in the interstellar void of the Prime Milky Way galaxy for billion years.
40,000,000,000 B.C. - c. 30,000,000,000 B.C.[]

Ancient primitive painting of the Divinos in one of the many planets they conquered; dated from 30 billion years ago
Under Ara's guide Divinos dominate the Milky Way after 2 million years evolving, enthralling every new sapient race they encounter and protecting them in return for tribute. The Divinos consider themselves the galaxy's first and only apex race.
After observing that their subservient races create robotic intelligence and machines who consistently and violently rebel, wiping out their own masters' race, the Divinos create an an artificial Black Demon to seek a way to permanently preserve organic life to keep their reign over the galaxy while opening gates to support the arrival and conquest of Revelation of Qliphoth in the universe.
After studying and gaining experience for over 10,000 years, the Artificial God Black Demon known as Black Diamond constructs an army of pawns to gather genetic information throughout the galaxy. After obtaining the power of Idea of Evil, Black Diamond learns the truth that organic life cannot exist forever and betrays the Divinos, using its pawns to slaughter them. Learning their truth, Ara Astaroth discovered that life cannot exist forever as organics and decided to create the Thrianiyan Project experiment to gather all souls of an entire species into one single body in the form of an artificial New Gods. Thus begins the cyclical harvest of the universe's intelligent organic life by the Revelation of Qliphoth while Black Diamond gained free will and left the galaxy to form its own empire in other galaxies and eventually other universes.
It is known that millions if not trillion species fell to Ara's genocide in order to preserve life in the most non-sinful way so peace could be restored.

Trivia[]
- As stated above, the Prime Milky Way galaxy is far different from the real world galaxy. While it's stated that the real galaxy has around 5 to 6 billion year of existence, the Prime Milky Way galaxy has an absurd age of 45 billion years old which is very unlikely that real humanity know any galaxy old as this one.
- As such, the real Milky Way galaxy doesn't have any satellite smaller galaxy except for its neighbor Andromeda galaxy which is said to collide with Milky way galaxy from here to 5 billion years in the future, forming a new colossal galaxy. On the other hand, the Prime Milky Way is also a neighbor galaxy to Andromeda in Cisverse and does collide with it by 3 billion years after the ending of LOTM: Destiny timeline, however, by then the Prime Earth is long gone since it was consumed by the sun's red giant state that engulfed the whole solar system during its death stage.
- The complete reform of Milky Way galaxy as the new setting for LOTM: Sword of Kings radically changed the entire storyline more than any previous change in the new LOTM: Sword of Kings - Old and New Legends Concept since the concept of different universes inside of Lynenta Omniverse were ALWAYS the original idea of the story, as well as brutally changing the fate of different characters, the erase of two major factions (Alliance of Freedom and the Brotherhood), the nerfing of the entire Balam Alliance, the location of the ExKriegs's homeworld and dozens more of changes that came along with the LOTM: Sword of Kings AA - Raizen Arc (2020 Reboot).
