Melia is a vital character in Xenoblade Chronicles. She is a member of a race of humanoids known as High Entia, which are human-like people with wings on their heads. She, however, is also half Holms as an established custom to her race. She is the princess of the High Entian royal city of Alcamoth.
During the events of Xenoblade Chronicles, she was sent out to fight and eliminate a telethia that escaped their city. She had 4 subordinates with her that gave their lives to protect her. Their deaths devastated her greatly. She was found by Shulk and his group after she used up a lot of ether during her fight against the telethia. She was restored by Sharla and had traveled with the group ever since. Though it wasn't her original intention, she had stayed with the group but disbanded at least once or twice to take care of other matters.
Melia may seem like a young girl looking like she's around her early 20s, however, she is actually 88 years old. High Entia have a much higher lifespan than Homs to which they live 4 times longer, so on the High Entian age scale, that would make her very much in her early 20s.
Throughout her life, she has lost her birth mother, a Hom and second consort, to old age, she lost her father after he was killed by Mumkhar aka Metal Face and her brother after he was forced to turn into a Telethia. Her father and brother have shown to be selfless, idealistic and dedicated leaders who were always willing to do what's best for their people and have willingly given their lives for it. Both have perished from their choices and dedication leaving the future of the High Entia in the hands of Melia. They also willingly shouldered many burdens for her as they have always believed that she was the last hope for their people to which she carried on the burden and made certain their final gambits paid off in massive dividends for their people.
Melia is voiced by Jenna Coleman, best known for her role as Clara aka the girl who died twice in Doctor Who.
Ultimate Story[]
Melia made her debut in Ultimate Story 7 during the events of the Treasures of the Vesperia Galaxy.
