Martian General Z-9 is a villain from the Warner Bros. TV series Duck Dodgers. He serves as the primary antagonist of the two-part finale of the second season, "Of Course You Know This Means War and Peace".
Martian General Z-9 is a well-known general of the Martian military, and is served by his right-hand robot counselor Dish. He initially served for the Martian Queen and Martian Commander X-2, but secretly plotted to take over both Earth and Mars as their new ruler after a peace meeting between Earth and Mars went off bad thanks to Dodgers' antics. To start off, Z-9 managed to capture Star Johnson after the latter learns of the general's plot. Z-9 then staged a military coup on Mars by taking the Martian Queen as prisoner and sending X-2 on the run as a wanted criminal, declaring himself the new Martian King and Commander. Z-9 then plans to get hold of the shut-down codes of Earth's shield system by staging up a false peace treaty between Mars and Earth to finalize his invasion on Earth. Fortunately, Duck Dodgers manages to rescue Cadet, X2, and Captain Johnson and they collaborated to keep the codes away to safety and save the Queen from Z-9's grasp during a battle between Z-9's forces and Earth. However, Dish is killed by the Martian Queen, and Cadet uses Dish's head to knock the treacherous general into the ship's control panel, shocking him into unconsciousness and defeating him for good. Following the aftermath of the battle between Earth and Mars which ended in ceasefire, Z-9 is arrested for his treason and crimes against Mars and Earth, sacked of his ranks, and sentenced to lifetime in prison. He is last seen sharing a cell with the Andromeda Annihilator, who subjects the former general to painful torture, much to his dismay.

Chapter 1[]
CSM is showed Irkens, Dregg and Martian General Z9. Smoking Man asks about other contacts and Homelander shows him some of the Virtumites lead by Thargg and Maximus IQ who he managed to get in contact with. CSM considers more connections to the alien life forms he will allow to run humanity so he can rule over them. With X9 on the surface already as well the Irken Invaders and Z9.
He encountered Master Chief and Arbiter as they gave info to Deathstroke as he is not affilated with the martians that Mulder, Scully, Saul, Mike, Lydia and Lincoln encountered at headquarters.
Chapter 2[]
Slade has become privy to The 2 aliens Dregg and Z9. Slade questions how Z9 returned, Marcy asks about the general, Slade explains that The V Team faced him a long time ago before they joined him and that was ultimately how they met each other and made the team. The Martian General was thought to be locked afterwards but Slade theorizes someone set him free and that he proably is going to go after all the Martians as well as them. Marcy inqures this and Slade answers that he did intend to overthrow the Queen on Mars known as Tyranhee and he persumably has been given info about The V Team and their passing, so he will likely target Slade for some reason.
He works with Lord Dregg to attack them with their forces.
Slade and Marcy both meet back up and confront the Martian General Z9 who proceeds to mock Slade for his loss of The V Team, he calls them lucky and weak for defeating him before. Z9 intends to put Slade into the ground like them to squash Slade's Empire, Slade and Marcy both refuse this and begin facing off with him. Slade inquires how he escaped, Z9 only states that a man for alien invasions freed him and colonization from his cell and promised him the planet, Dodgers, The V Team and it's boss and the other Martians for betraying him.
Marcy who keeps Z9 at bay, so Slade can accomplish his true goal tries to distract him but he won't have it and he reveals he has more allies at his beck and call. It turns out to be another alien force that Mojo is familar with, the alien invader from Forced Kin and he helps Z9 deal with Slade and Marcy. Marcy struggles to hurt it, though does manage to get the Ray 03 to damage it and distracy before the Ray 03 is attacked and dismatled by it.
Slade manages to acquire the info he needs, and saves Marcy from being killed. he is hurt bad himself
Varrick saves Slade and Marcy with his magic vine technology with the help of Dr.Insano who used the gauntlets he stole off Jesu Otaku uppercuts Lord Dregg and Z9 though only dents the alien invader himself helps the two get back to safety
Chapter 3[]
General Z-9 in then present in Zim's Town With The Irekns, Dregg and The Smoking Man to help CSM catch and try to kill Anti Cosmo and Bender
He is ordered to use the trap and with it he traps Bender, Anti Cosmo and Professor Membrane and CSM orders Z9 to take them away and bring them to the cell he has in mind for those he wants to kill.
Sid, Vee, Starlight, and Libby are successful in stalling the Irkens, and they end up killing hundreds thanks to Wile E rigging the ships with TNT and Lisa detonating it. Dregg decides to leave to as do the Tallest to engage in their plans with the monsters that were left loose by The Sales Man. Martian General Z9 leaves with Dregg as well as he watches them fight their sources
The Resisty is already on it's way to the base as Lisa explained to them. The Smoking Man however is already on to this. He is with Martian General Z9 and decides to have him capture the Resisty like Bender, Anti Cosmo and Professor Membrane. General Z9 is already on the case and he has someone else with him, Vladmir Makarov.
The Two go after the Resisty and Z9 dogfights with them, The Resisty is able to mach Z9 in his dogfighting skills. Even getting the edge on the Martian as a result in turn. The Resisty keep their ship on destination as they avoid Martian General Z9.
This is when Makrarov equips his own machine gun and basically shoots down the Resisty's ship. The Resisty's ship crashs and this is when Makraov arrives and basically handcuffs the whole crew and has Martian General Z9 deliver them to the slammer where those others are.
Z9 is against this as it will allow them to get away, Though Makarov states this is what The Smoking Man wants, he wants them dead in that imprisonment.
The Smoking Man has been on to Slade and his crew with Homelander, General Z9, A Train and Zib in toll. He sends them to go after Slade, which they do.
General Z9 attacks Slade himself while he sends the rest of the crew after A-Train and Homelander.
while Due to their set skills. Z9 realizes he will have to do something and he calls in Zib to help out with this.
Zib agrees and this takes Slade by suprise, though he admits he knew about Zib due to Bender and Anti Cosmo telling him. Zib states of course they told him and he will ensure that he brings them to justice that he will get the respect he desrves and didn't get with Zim. Marcy takes action and snipes Z9 and Zib. Slade smirks knowing she followed through his instructions.
Slade and Marcy both fight Z9 and Zib with the latter trying to convince Marcy that Slade is evil and will never change as villains never change. Marcy admits she knows of his history but defuses this.
Slade and Z9 engage further and Slade is ready to basically defeat Z9, when Z9 takes a cheap shot and damages Hook's ship distracting Slade as he rallies his allies to escape.
Chapter 4[]
Z9 with the rest of the crew is in Townsvile and particpates in the plot with The CSM to use a dose of what he has in mind for the multiverse. He is informed by Tighten that Slade had managed to arrive and this is when Z9 and Zib both decide to go after Slade once again as well as Marcy.
He and the others set up a trap and succeeds in going off where he and the others show up and he targets the two again. Slade and Marcy undeterred continue to fight the martian and the alternate Dib. They are able to best the two, Though Z9 gloats that their plan failed as he had the detonators have been set off and that Jump City was one of the areas already under this effect. This he did to keep Slade from being able to go back to his base.
He and the others leave and Z9 is satisifed with the W he got on Slade.
Chapter 5[]
Dregg, Z9 and The CSM observe their adversaries and the former two join Thragg in preparing for his invasion, he seems more interesting in going after Slade and his forces unlike Dregg. Despite the warning, Z-9 is given permission from The CSM and Thragg to do so as this could keep Slade guarded from preventing their initial invasion.
Z9 heads to Gotham upon hearing of Slade's arrival there, and he joins Zib, Tighten and Blackfire. Upon reaching The Wayne Manor, he attacks Celes, Slade, Marcy, Kid, Bliss and Black Star. He fights Bliss who decides to help Slade as a result and he has his Martians go after the Powerpuff Girl who fights through them with more ease and while overwhelmed at first. Bliss overcomes her fatique to take on Z9 from killing Slade as Slade deals with Zib.
Bliss and Z9 fight as the latter tries to kill Slade as a result and Bliss ultimately blindspots him so the others can escape.
Chapter 6[]
General Z9 and the russians fight Truman, Jack, Diana and later Stan and Ford's team and after Thragg does his invading plan,He is told to go after Slade's team and Bender by CSM.
Finale[]
He fights Slade and Slade's empire and later on Master Chief, The Arbiter and Atomtic Betty and is brought in and defeated by the group and detained for all eternity.

Book 1: Overture[]
Chapter 1[]
Part 1[]
Martian General Z9 managed to oversee a meeting with Captain Putty and Zib to get his help with Bender and Slade. Z9 is questioning why they needed him as they can take care of themselves. Zib tells Z9 that they need his help as Putty is targetting Bender and they need a 3rd band member to go for Slade as Zib is after both of them.
Z9 says that while he is grateful to see them alive, he can take care of this himself and doesn't need them for help. Zib warns Z9 that The Cartel is gone as Putty informed him and that they managed to emlinate the cartel leaders and they're left without any major power player apart from a Supe so it's the best choice
Z9 says he will take his best chances with dealing with them as he takes his ship out to deal with Slade and his forces.
As Slade has his allies go back to Hook's Jolly Roger he decides to go investigate any possible way he and the others could have been tracked. This is where he does discover something and it's martian footprints and he realizes Z9 was how they were found. This is proven right when Z9's instant martians arrive to corner Slade. General Z-9 commends Slade for already having figured his role in everything and that it was indeed him who did so.
Slade questions what is his purpose here to take revenge on him, or to help Vought get back at him without Professor Membrane knowing. Z-9 says he made some powerful new allies to help him and that with this he can finally achieve what he has to said to do, destroy Slade's Empire. Slade comments that he was after Eddy and The V Team, and they're gone so why go after him?. Z-9 says because he was robbed of his attempt to get bad at them and Slade will settle just fine. He orders the martians to deal with him as he heads off to retrace his plans. Unamused and disgusted by his cowardice, he instantly takes on and overpowers the Instant Martians to head back to his quarters.
Part 2[]
Captain Putty and Zib meet up with General Z9 who work alongside Cate, Sam, Black Noir II and Firecracker to set a trap for Bender and the others knowing they will arrive here. Z9 has his martians stand by, this gets Putty and Zib's curiousity as they thought Z9 lost his forces, General Z9 had to get them reworked and now he has business with Slade.
Anti Cosmo and Slade are quick to figure that that Z9 is around yet again and has taken a shot at the duo who he managed to find. Celes is prepared to fight off Z9 and goes to attack him, though the martians arrive to take her as Z9 goes to escape. She is able to deal with them offically and has Slade and Ati Cosmo acquire where he is going which the two do. The Trio then tell Captain Hook they have something to go deal with the martian, Hook has an idea on this that something would go off like this and he managed to get a space ship snuck out, with the others so the trio can all go after Z9 which Anti Cosmo takes the pilot's seat as they pursue Z9
General Z9 has his Martians take command of his ships so as they open fire on Slade, Anti Cosmo and Celes. He recalls how he fought Eddy and The V Team like this many moons ago and it's fitting that he is taking out their boss like this. Slade recalls this is was one reason he hired Eddy because he defeated Z9 with the V Team who Slade and Z9 have been fighting for a long time. Anti Cosmo manages to use the lasers in the ship to attack the Martians and uses aerial procedures to avoid them.
Hook and Sideshow Bob both find something on the radar and warn them about it. Sideshow Bob describes it as a giant laser on the moon and rolls his eyes at the cliche after hearing about Dr.Evil and his obession with lasers. Slade does note this and realizes Z9 did steal something from his empire and it was Dr.Evil's Laser from Virtucon. He orders the attack to deal with the laser which Anti Cosmo does as he will not enganger his wife to it.
Celes is able to deal with the martian attacks fine enough and tries to distract Z9. Z9 doesn't fall for it and goes to the giant laser which Anti Cosmo and Slade decide to try and deal with. While the two are able to do some damage to the system, Z9 activates the laser to prepare to destroy the empire though it's hindered to Z9 and Slade's suprise. It turns out Marvin The Martian was who stopped it as he did find out Z9 escaped and tried to once again kill his queen and he helps Slade and Anti Cosmo disable the giant laser.
Z9 sees Marvin as a traitor and heads off as Marvin has his own martians on stand and tells Celes how to get rid of them.
Z9 arrives back at base with Rodrigo waiting for him as Redneb was rather aware that he was going to fail that mission. Z9 isn't pleased with this and tells him to back away from the matter when Rodrigo says he was able to give that laser to him and for what so it could be sabotaged. He doesn't get why he wastes his time with the alien.
Part 3[]
General Z9 comes to realize that he was being tracked as he rips a tracker off his ship and realizes Celes must have put one on the ship when she fought him. He decides to make a counter play as he decides to once again look into the giant laser.
Z9 has Martians with bombs strapped with them which through Marvin he finds out that Z9 got explosives from the martian military and is potentially using them as a kamikaze mission against them. Celes and Nasesla manage to reach Z9 who has announced to do for his boss as he is to insure The V Team bases and technology there can't be used by Slade or his cronies like asked. He was amazed it was still there a long time ago. N.Tropy and Alternate N.Tropy who aren't seen by them just nod with N.Tropy admitting that his old boss was someone who he and Cortex worked for though he doesn't see Cortex as a colleague. Though he does get some of the bombs to go, Mojo and Insano were able to keep him getting too much success.

He drops off Tek Knight to follow and investigate what Slade had undercovered with the chaos bots.
Part 5[]
He and Tek Knight are able to discover what Slade and his empire are up and that Slade has managed to get his hands on the rocket ship that launched Rufus into space and would have caused his death and they decide that N.Tropy needs to know Slade is on to him as Tek Knight can also confirm Slade's right hand man and Bender are also on to him but for a different reason.
Part 6[]
General Z9 has made his arrival to the New Mexico locale and decides to split the work just like how Bender did so for them. He and Captain Putty decide to go tail down Bender and his group where as Cate, Sam, Black Noir II and Fire cracker go to Lalo's House to tail Bean. He does this mainly to keep his mind out of tailing Slade and decided to change targets for this occasion with Captain Putty who has a personal deal with the robot.
Chapter 3[]
Part 7[]
He and Putty ambush Bender in the bunker and go after with the intent to take the Shetty Virus but also as it turns out it's a plan to keep him distracted so Tek Knight and the Supes can plant the invite to the manor so they can make a plot to deal with both them and Slade's group. Though he does deal with Dale, Butcher and Luan while he is at it. Upon and before he flees with Putty, Putty and Z9 both also witness the Shetty Virus's effects and make their own asides commenting on why Neuman wants it knowing how dangerous it is for herself.
Part 8[]
Putty, Z9 and Zib all meet back up with each other to discover what their plan will be to deal with the situation and how they will trap the others with Tek Knight at the manor which was the plan to get themg. He and the others are able to notice that Luan and Wile E are eavesdropping on them and have discovered their plan. The three work to submerge the heroes and are foiled by the additional help of the Space Bandits, Marvin The Martian and Rocket Racoon which has them leave.
Chapter 4[]
At some point, he has drafted the alliance of the Zebron Brotherhood and uses their conncetions to find what Slade is up in order to have Fifi and Agent Mace lead an operation to steal. When he discovers ANti Cosmo, Bender, Marcy and the Mar Mar Gang also uncovered this, he has them go to silence them before anything can get out.
Chapter 5[]
Z9's forces are also battling the Akkridons and when he discovers Krel with Toby, Steve and AAARRRGGHH!!, he orders them exterminateed as well so he can prevent Aja, Pepperjack and Varnatos to get involved too much in what N.Tropy is ultimately up to. Though he fails with them, N.Tropy has another assignment and sends him into the future to distract Neo Vought.
Book 2: Interlude[]
Taking advantage of Slade's down time, Z9 launches an major alien attack on Slade's Empire under Morando who he was working with and this causes Bender and Anti Cosmo to fight back against him and his forces as well as the Streaming Resistance as he has the Zebron Brotherhood try to kill Slade himself. Though he puts a great fight against both sides, this only allows Slade to get out of his bed taking another shot to allow him to keep going and it allows the heroes to find Morando's prison Ship. Despite his failings, Mornado spares him as he did find Gaylan's Core for him and could him come in handy later.
At the Climax, he fights Linkara and The V Crusaders in a dog fight in space to prevent them from stopping Morando. He is able to do damage to Linkara's allies vessles though he is told to retreat by Putty and Zib after they got what they wanted which was a dead leader,
Book 3: Culmination[]
With Slade, Anti Cosmo and Harry are having their own hands full and N.Tropy having send his forces to deal with every end opposing him, Z9 gets the go ahead to attack Slade's Empire with N.TRopy's forces to take over it and he decides to avenge General Mornado and attack Aja and The Royal Family which leads into a all out battle with both sides and eventually has him have to pull out after losing some control of his mother ship due to their forces shooting a part of his ship. Though he is smart to track them and tells N.Tropy of their trip to Amphibia, where he decides to pull a feuding invasion at the same time Andiras plays his own hand.
