Marcus first appears as the A.I of his megamind that Lydia finds in the beginning of the story and he leads the others to the shock of others as they had no how the megamind worked. He knows exactly what to do and helps the team spefically Lydia.
It is revealed that he is the mind in the Megamind by Lisa Loud and she manages to recrate him flesh and bone through the megamind. This is when Marcus joins the B Team and works to stop the legion from getting the spear and altering the timeline. While Thawne gets, Marcus is spared as Lydia splits her trinket with him leaving them with Bender, Skipper, Twilight, Rick and The Louds. Marcus then works with Deathstroke and his unit to fight Thawne and he makes his own mech to fight the group with Lisa Loud and is among the team when they find the Spear.
Marcus is nearly killed by Toffee but is saved by his team mates, and is brought up to knowledge by Lydia, he doesn't get mad and felt that Skipper and Bender will a bit harsh on Lydia for getting mad for her keeping her info on Cipher and the two do back a bit off. Marcus joins Lydia in finding Ford's files on Bill and this is when Mandarin and Bill both come after them.
Marcus gets it away from Mandarin and Bill and gets back to Bender and co, They all mention they need to get back to Toffee for that move which only stokes the coals when they threaten them and Lydia is pondering her own choices and Lincoln offers to help and Marcus talks to her telling they will find a way and he'll help her. Marcus gets on his mech and fights Rodney, then assists Lydia in dealing with Bill Cipher and Cipher mocks that he came to save his girlfriend, while he doesn't deny and the two find Ford back in captive and get him.
This is when Bill Cipher shows up and threatens Bender, Skipper and Deathstroke in order to get the spear from Lydia, when Ford offers his mind and info to stop Cipher and Bill accepts but this is when Marcus and Lydia put their idea into motion and put themelves and with Lydia's gauntlets punch out Cipher of exitene
Bender, Skipper, Lydia, Deathstroke, Marcus and Ford all begin questioning who to use the spear when the concensus goes to Lydia, she is heistant though Marcus encourages her to do it , pointing she proved her rights to it. After the spear is used, Marcus joins Bender on his vacation in Aruba and he and Lydia start dating each other.

Chapter 4[]
Lincoln and Lydia both hear their names being called and Lydia knows exactly who it is. It's none other than Marcus who is behind both of them. The two hug and state that it's been so long since they seen each other. Truman is suspcious though Lincoln is just happy to see a friend. Lincoln and Marcus then do their own hand shake afterward. Lincoln asks what is he doing here?
Marcus tells Lincoln, that Lydia called him as well and states they're coming here. Lydia asks him about what happened at Flying Rhino. Marcus states it's a long story and he'll tell them as he takes them to Burford's house
Marcus then introduces himself to Luz, Anne, Hilda, Molly, Truman, King, Lisa and Sid forgotting his manners. Sid asks if this is Lydia's so called ex, Luz states they were just very close friends at least that's what she said to her when she spied on Lydia, King and Sid both nod in understanding.
Marcus explains as they are all on their way that ever since Earl P Sidebottom was killed, suspcion aroused at the school. Lydia clarifies to her friends that he was the guy that antagonized her and her friends there and he did so over a D Grade. Hilda is at disblief at how dumb this as is Truman, King and Lisa. Marcus then states that at first it was discrete until they found some more major things like a talking experimented rat. Lydia, Lincoln, Luz, King, Anne, Molly and Sid all look nervous as they know they're talking about Raticus who Lydia took with her on the move and left it Loch Loud with Angus. Lydia comes out and says she was hiding him in Royal Woods and then Loch Loud.
Then they did more digging up according to Marcus, and they found a reality changing machine and a lot of toxic, nuclear and radioactive activity there. The Team other than Truman and Lisa is shocked at this, as the two of them find that pretty cool and could be used for their science endeavors.
Lincoln looking sympathetic to Lydia asks Marcus did it get worse. Marcus confirms it got worse as it turns they were skeletions and missing people, It was confirmed that the effects of the reality warping machine indirectly caused death and the school was dubbed too dangerous to ever be reopened so it was closed permantely. In Turn this caused the whole friend group to break apart and go their ways and everyone suffered some injury in some way
Luz asked what happens to him and Marcus states that he had to be hopsitalized due to some kind of bacterial infection or around that. Lydia mentions nothing happened to her as is Marcus stated then she was the only student not to have anything happen to her and asks if she's safe in Royal Woods. Lydia states physically yes and mentally for the most part, as she states she is made of sterner stuff than people think.
Sid, Lisa and Truman all ask Marcus what he has and Marcus explains his mini computer to them and he tells them about which does impress Sid and Truman, Though Lisa is still a bit intriggued. Lisa asks for his help for something about his knowledge if he could help Sid and her build a robot or something. Marcus agrees with this.
Lydia, Lincoln, Sid, Anne, Luz, Molly, King, Lisa Loud Marcus, Hilda and Truman all arrive at Bufrod's house and upon knocking on the door. Burford is surpised to see Lydia and Marcus and that they are the first kids he's seen since what happened with Flying Rhino.
Lydia asks for his help regarding M.A.L.I.C.E. as they're a spy organzation and she figured he could help. Burford admits it was a long time ago but he still has it, he does keep his eyes alert to see if anyone is around before letting them
Everyone questions that the janitor is a literal swine apart from Lydia, Marcus and Lincoln. Marcus tells the Flying Rhino name comes from a principle which the others realize Lydia was being literal. Burford shows the team all the spy kits and tools he has from these days and reveals that he was posing as a janitor and that after the investigation, he went back to resume his spy work.
Burford is briefed by Lydia, Lincoln, Sid, Lisa, King and Truman about their sitation and Burford gives a tracker device for gems like this. Lydia nods and asks the others to move out and the Janitor joins them. Truman goes to the car and hands all the tools they have to the rest of the team.
Hilda, Anne, Luz, King, Molly, Truman, Burford, Sid and Marcus all finish handing everything to the teens as they will need to for their own plans.
Bruce, Hilda, Selina and Truman all recall thier own encounter with them back in Amphibia, though they don't know what they really are apart from having a fire weakness. Marcus asks what did they look like that and Truman shows him a photo he took and Marcus decides to look into it.
Lincoln is asked to talk by Marcus and Hilda and he is asked about two different things.Lincoln is questioned in regards to Lydia if she is doing okay, as he can tell Lincoln is worried about her. Lincoln admits he is worried for her, because of everything Marcus said that happened but states she is made of sterner stuff than he is. Marcus reveals he knows what happened with Lincoln as Lydia told him that she kept his eye on Lincoln, though she just said something tragic happened to him that she became protective about after the fact.
Marcus understands that Lydia is keeping what happened confidental between them and Lincoln admits he has told many people of what happened and has been more open but Lydia is keeping what happened to him between the two of them. Marcus and Lincoln both bonded by their mutual close friendship with Lydia decide that they need to help her with what she needs if she does need anything.
Lydia afterwards spots something and goes after it. This is noticed by Lincoln who asks her what she is doing Lincoln and Lydia both are stopped by Truman and Marcus, Lydia tells them that the two need to hunt something that she saw. Truman tells Lydia he's coming with her as he is not leaving either her or Linc alone. Lincoln agrees and Marcus is coming too to help out
So the 4 of them set off and Lincoln tells Truman and Marcus about what they saw in the alien in Amphibia and Dreamland that he and Lydia saw and pursued. Truman states how do they know this and Lincoln tells Truman he can't reveal who as that was part of an agreement made. Marcus asks about what agreement like a legal agreement. Lincoln nods at this and Lydia states that this is something that more than the 4 of them are looking into but it goes up further than even they know.
Lydia, Lincoln, Truman and Marcus all proceed further and leading them is Truman and Lydia holding a weapon and the Infinity Gauntlet, with Lincoln and Marcus in the back with Lincoln equipped with a weapon of his own and Marcus tracking the weird spots in the ground.
Marcus scanning the area saying that it looks like something is being felt here and it ain't good. Truman, Lincoln and Lydia ask about what it is, Marcus asks Lydia about the spider she had. Lydia is referring to Slivia, her pet spider and ask did it feel cringey at any time. Lydia says it never did, so Marcus has to so say that there is a giant like spider like creature
Marcus scanning the area saying that it looks like something is being felt here and it ain't goodLydia asks about it and why so spefic, Lincoln can tell quick and knows those marks are spider like marks and Truman is pretty much ready to open fire on it as soon as he fires at it.
Marcus and Truman both go ahead of them and Lincoln and Lydia send a text to Mulder and Scully and follow them
As Lincoln, Lydia, Marcus and Truman continue their investigation, they go further into a cave and begin noticing the disturbing foot prints and see some corpse. This unsettles the 4 of them resepcitvely this is when they see something,
It's a spider monster with an assemblage of bodily tissues with bones belonging to the creature’s victims jutting out from various parts of its body, an elongated head and six legs that branched off to form several and prehensile tentacles that it used for offensive attacks, one of which could extend from the monster’s mouth. The maw of the creature was filled with circular rows of jagged "teeth".
Lincoln, Lydia, Truman and Marcus all look really terrffied and freak out. This creature tries to attack the 4 of them and they all fight off against it though it's barely does much as this thing is so alien like and powerful
Lydia notes that this was from The Upside Down like was said, and using the Power and Mind Stones manages to hold off better than the rest of the team as it tries to use telepathy on them and Lydia fights it off with ease. Lincoln, Truman and Marcus all manage to be freed from it by Lydia
Lincoln and Truman attack it too with heat based weaponry with Marcus as Lydia does state that if it's part of the Upside Down, Heat can hurt it. Which they all do, though the tenacles and appendages do manage to hold them now.
Realzing they are going to be taken down if not careful, Lydia uses the Reality Stone to get everyone out which they do, though they are constantly being chased by The Mind Flayer due it's own Dimensional Manipulation/Reality Warping meaning the 4 must keep running to keep it from killing them
As the 4 of the kids try to escape the Mind Flayer which is implacable despite how much the 4 of them use heat weapons and the Inifinty Stones. Truman and Marcus both do notice that it is taking damage it's just more resistant than what the others dealt with.
The Mind Flayer then attacks Marcus and truamtizes him and tortures him which leads to the other 3 attacking THe Mind Flayer and saving him though The three of them are still unsure what happened in turn as Lydia decides to use the SPace, Mind and Reality Stone all at once to escape the dimenison they were trapped in
The Mind Flayer is unable to follow them in turn, and that where Lydia, Truman, Marcus and Lincolin escape with Lydia being very wore out from the use of 3 at once and Marcus feeling crap. Truman keeps his eye on Marcus and tries to help him,
However A Spider monster similar to the hopsital monster ambuss Truman, Lincoln, Lydia and and an unconsciousness Marcus and the team is tired from their encounter so it looks they're in trouble
However it is sniped by a moltov cocktail by MIke who learned about the call Lincoln tried to make to Mulder and he tells them this as he tells them to get in. Mike notes an knocked out Marcus and states that it may be best to keep him away from the three in case the Upside Down did anything to him.
Sid, Hilda, King, Anne, Luz, Molly, Bruce, Selina, Tuesday, Larke, Bean and Ibuki are all waiting for Lydia, Lincoln, Truman and Marcus to get back to them as the adults are busy as Ford told them respectively in a call of their own. A Cool Car pulls up and it's Mike who drops off Truman, Lydia and Lincoln and tells them to wait up for him at the hopsital as he delivers Marcus to the inffirmary
Chapter 6[]
As Lydia and Lincoln both continue look through the house, they see a rat going through pain and they watch it blow up and form into some kind of moving mass. This naturally freaks out both of them, Lydia asks what the hell was that and Lincoln can only answer a rat blown up.
This is when Marcus as well as the Louds show up and act strangely that it's so nice to see Lincoln and Lydia. Lincoln asks Lydia does Marcus know where she lives, Lydia states he did know about Royal Woods just not here. Lydia asks the Louds if they are fine and use the envidence of the broken house to bluff them. Lincoln agrees that's a good idea and they ask questions which They answer. Lincoln realizes something is up with them indeed as his folks and Marcus are both speaking not that human like and Lydia agrees. Lincoln asks for the power stone and Lydia hands it and he attacks his family and Marcus
Lincoln is proven right as they retract more hostility, and even melt into a sludge of raw materials that shapes into a monstrous form.. Lincoln and Lydia both are down right terrifed of what they just saw. Lincoln asks what Lydia saw and what happened to them, Lydia thinks back of their previous encounter with the Mind Flayer with Truman and Marcus and realize that Marcus was poseessed by The Mind Flayer.
Lydia, Lincoln, Mulder, Scully, Welton and Agent Bishop return to Deathstroke, Saul and Mike who have interrograted Odival about his knowledge. Odival reveals that he doesn't know M.A.L.I.C.E's real boss but he does know that the Mind Flayer can be stopped but it has to lose control of it's proxy body and he knows how.
Deathstroke asks how and why?, Odival states he's doing this to get revenge on The Arch Drudiness and M.A.L.I.C.E. He doesn't care if the heroes win he just wants the villains to lose and tells them there is a psychic connection to it and Lydia realizes it's Marcus, and doesn't want to kill him. Odival states the host doesn't have to be killed but freed from it's influence, he states gas can help there and setting it aflame more to the point.
Chapter 7[]
Marcus is lured to the team by Deathstroke and put under pressure by Sid and Lisa to try and sever the Mind Flayer's connection to them. Though what they do is rather gruesome, the team is sucessful in loosing the grasp compeltely
Epilogue[]
Despite this, Marcus is taken to the hopsital and tragically doesn't get the chance to see Lydia before she is extracted away by Ed. Though he does Lincoln is the right person to be there for her and states that he honesty hopes those two can get this relationship going between them.
Countdown[]
Marcus is visited by Bender at the end of Countdown, Who located him to talk to him about the events of Team Free Will: Disassembled. Marcus asked what Bender is doing here, and the robot tells him he was sent in part to Deathstroke going after Demogorgons and them being from The Upside Down who Marcus had some bad encounters. Marcus is uncomfortable with this, though Marcus informs Bender about the Mind Flayer and it's possession of him.Bender asks where and Marcus tells it came from Hawkins and that Lydia and Lincoln managed to kill The Mind Flayer. Bender states that he will look into it when he is off the sabbatical he is taking at the moment in case The Upside Down opens again and look into the previous attacks.

Marcus joins Walter Skinner in heading back to Flying Rhino Junior High and he was the only one of the kids contacted due to him being the most familiar with Earl P Side Bottom's computers and technology
He also finds Raticus as well and asks about Lydia respectfully who he just knows is doing fine according to Angus as he got back from Loch Loud. But she has gone missing with Lincoln. Marcus is briefed about Walter Skinner about the Upside Down nightmare being over to his relief, as he feels getting Bender to investigate was a good move on his part
The three find Hilda and her friends coming here with Mulder and Scully which he had done. Marcus decides to let HIlda know the news respectfully due to the personal deals Hilda and her family have with Henry Creel. He joins the others in looking through the School to find any unsual activity before he considers going back unlike his friends. This indeed does happen and they are attacked by the simulations Earl's computers cause in part to malfuncitons
Despite Hilda's insistence to lead the team, Marcus decides he needs to take lead due to familarity with the situation which Hilda agrees as Johanna and Jaune give logic why he should. Working with the others and following him, The heroes manage to beat what Neil Kandy and Candice use respectfully and he uses his knowledge on technology to help the adults fix the computer. He and Luna manage to decode the the messaging from the Time Agents and they learn where Hilda's grandparents are respectfully and decide to take mission control to help Hilda, Mulder, Scully, Jaune, Johanna and Astrid save Lydia and Phinium.
Chapter 5[]
Working with Skinner, Marcus manages to find where Hilda's grandparents are located and with Skinner digs around and sends the others on a path to Area 51 so Hilda, Mulder and Scully can save them.
Marcus and his friends get ambushed by the others who try to take them out respectfully on N.Tropy's orders respectivefully
He and Raticus manage to get control of the reality warping computers and manage to get Hilda back home with her parents and the agents to help out deal with the invasion of the others mainly Kregg as well the Streaming Resitance
Marcus manages to work his way around the others and finds Lincoln and Lydia coming and he is so happy to see Lydia again as he missed her as she did miss him. Marcus decides to let whatever they need to say for later as The Spot has arrived and the team needs to take him out
Chapter 6[]
Marcus and the others begin to notice the False Groudon and this causes them to freak out. He and the others all come up with an idea to ultimately try to deal with the monster respectfully as it comes towards them
Marcus splits with his side of the group as they drive to get to the Lab The N.Trophies used to make False Groudon. He does get sucked up by the tentacles like the others, but is able to get the others to the lab
Marcus is though freed from it by the time it is destroyed and tells Lydia and Lincoln where he is living now and to come by some time.

Part 6[]
Marcus is visited by Ford, Sid and Ronnie Anne where he is with Jules, Verne and Raticus and they are asked about Doc Brown. Marcus informs them of what he and the others did manage to do at what has occurred with both Lincoln and Lydia. Marcus explains that what did occur with the Streaming Resistance with them without mentioning their names and explains his own role in dealing with Vecna when he got Bender on board with going after Creel.
They decide to keep Ford and the others in touch with this.
Chapter 6[]
Marcus has been in Royal Woods and he welcomes Lydia home with Raticus asking how everything went, where she tells him what has happened with her, Lincoln and the others. Marcus puts it together that Ford and the others know of the activities Lydia got into and says that back at F.R.J.H this never happened.
Book 2: Interlude[]
At the end of the Book, Marcus was killed by N.Tropy and his alternate Counterpart as a way to get back at Lydia, though he was able to attend her 12th birthday as well and was able to make it obvious that he always cared about her among the most of his friends.
