Mairu Orihara is one of Izaya's younger sisters. She has an older twin sister named Kururi. Like her brother, she's a troublemaker at school and introduces herself as liking to read encyclopedias, manga, and adult magazines. She also declares that she is bisexual and is looking for girls who are interested. This causes a stir in the class and she is bullied briefly until she responds to one of the bullies by threatening her with thumbtacks as well as taking her to the bathroom and stealing her bra. Later, the sisters are assumed to have framed the bullies for having drugs by sneaking them into their backpacks.
Kururi Orihara is one of Izaya's younger sisters. She has a younger twin sister named Mairu. Unlike her more outgoing sister, she is shy and soft-spoken. She still stands out at school because she wears a gymnastics outfit as apposed to the usual uniform, and gets bullied due to her sister's reputation. She is hinted to have feelings for Aoba, one of her classmates, as she is grateful when he saves her from bullies one day and even kisses him in thanks. According to Mairu, she was very happy when he said he found her to be cuter than the girl who was bullying her.
