Loid Forger (ロイド・フォージャー, Roido Fōjā?) is the main protagonist of the SPY x FAMILY series. He has discarded everything about his past to work for his country as an undercover spy who acts under the codename "Twilight" (〈〉, <Tasogare>?).
For his current mission, he is required to marry and have a child. Thus, he enters a marriage with Yor Briar and becomes the adoptive father of Anya Forger.
Appearance[]
Loid Forger is a tall man with slicked blonde hair and blue eyes. His usual attire is a green three-piece suit and pants along with a dagger-shaped lapel, red necktie, a pair of black gloves, and shoes.
Personality[]
Twilight is often calm, collective, and discreet at his own job. He is efficient at all, doing everything to complete his own mission such as raising a family, infiltrating terrorist groups, and so on. Despite this, Loid may have shown a caring side by rescuing his own adoptive daughter even at the cost of disclosing his own true identity as a spy or expressing anger after Murdoch Swan humiliated her.

Yor Forger[]
Loid's wife, whom he married as part of Operation Strix. The two agree to the cover marriage as it benefits both of them in the long run while keeping the actual reasons from each other. Although married, they do not share a room or bed unless they have guests over, for which they share a room for appearances only. Loid, being a great spy, tries to keep his emotions out of his work to prevent becoming attached to Yor. He treats her like any good husband would, taking her on dates when she is down and even covering for her inability to cook. However, he justifies these actions for the sake of his mission.
While Loid has made it clear that he has no romantic feelings towards Yor, he respects and appreciates her, both as a person and for her role and assistance in the Forger family. He notes at one point that he plans to make sure both Yor and Anya will be properly provided for by WISE once his work is finished and will try his best to follow up on them once his mission is over. When Yor unexpectedly befriends his target’s wife, Loid believes that while beneficial for him, putting a civilian in danger for the sake of his mission is unacceptable, and he will be ready to protect Yor if things go south.
Despite his façade, Loid has lowered his guard around Yor on multiple instances. He lightly blushed when asked to kiss her and after he suspected her of having genuine romantic feelings toward him, even with his years of experience with women as a spy. He is also surprised when she knocks him out for the first time in years, and he finds himself sleeping comfortably on her lap. When Murdoch Swan verbally offends Yor and Anya during their interview with Eden Academy, Loid displays an unexplained fury intense enough to break a table and wound his fist, despite only knowing them for a few days and how his actions could endanger his mission. Loid also felt immensely guilty for doubting and bugging Yor after Yuri's visit, despite Franky's warnings not to get attached. Fiona has also noticed that Loid, a master of fake smiles, leaks a tiny bit of genuine emotion when he is with Yor.
Anya Forger[]
Loid's daughter, whom he adopts to have her attend Eden Academy. He picks her up from a run-down orphanage after witnessing her solve a crossword puzzle by herself (which she accomplished by reading his mind). Although he initially viewed Anya as a nuisance and expendable, he quickly becomes protective of her when she reminds him of his motivation for becoming a spy.
Loid is often disappointed by Anya's performance at school and wishes she would spend more time studying and less time watching cartoons. Regardless, he always tries to treat her like any normal good father would: caring for her wellbeing, gifting her a large penguin stuffed doll (which she treasures very much), and buying her a dog (which was canceled after they got Bond). He also patiently teaches her school lessons, makes serious attempts to understand her, and is visibly disheartened when she fails.
Despite this, everything he does for Anya to this point is mainly for his spy mission. Even when on their cruise vacation, Loid considered it as part of his mission. However, Loid openly opposes Anya being hurt, to the point that he becomes visibly infuriated despite his usually calm and controlled demeanor. This is displayed when Murdoch Swan provokes Anya in the Forger's entrance interview to Eden or when Edgar kidnaps her in an attempt to lure Twilight.
Yuri Briar[]
Both Loid and Yuri have a very complicated relationship, as Yuri is jealous of Loid for having been his sister's husband without being told, and Loid has to be careful not to reveal his true identity as Twilight since he figured out Yuri is part of the Secret Police. Loid always stays on guard when he is with Yuri but also tends to be soft with him as he knows that Yuri was the only person who supported and loved Yor for so long.
