These 2 Pokémon are Link and Zelda's trusty companions. They're a pair of a Plusle and Minun siblings that were adopted by the Hylian duo. They're cute, fun-loving and determined sidekicks who are always there for their masters whenever they're needed.
They were adopted by the 2 at Brock's Pokémon ranch after they were removed from an abusive family. The 2 Pokémon were confiscated after a bystander witnessed them be mistreated by the family.
The duo have been treated more like pets by Link and Zelda than Pokémon companions. Though, Link has trained his Minun to be more a fighter while Zelda pampered her Plusle almost to a point where it became spoiled.
The 2 are very close to each other and was obviously reflected in their owner. After they were adopted, they've lived a free and happy life and are always willing to do whatever they can to help out their new owners.
Both Plusle and Minun are never contained in Poké Balls, so they are very often seen with their masters on their shoulders or walking along with them.
Link and Zelda would sometime look after each other's partners whenever they need to. They are so close that their Pokémon are very obedient with their sibling's master.
