For all these years, I'm living inside some kind of dreadful fantasy as if I am destined to become the queen until I find myself anew. I know we are far away from being 100% reconciled, Crane. After all, I killed Colin and my father, but I read my father's note and remembered how I tendered my brother in my arms. Even if I died, I will drag that embodiment of my accursed madness into Hell with me. Therefore, there is no need to argue with me. I'm now on your side. After all, I'm not begging for your forgiveness, but the only wish I have now is to protect this world with my power and mind. The beehive will still be build, not for enslavement, but for the humanity's enforcement. We will meet again, and I hope there is one day I will be there, but as your friend.
Kristen Kiwifruit, born Christine Van Bilj, also known as Kristen Van Bilj, Christine Crane, Kristen Crane-Van Tassel, or the self-proclaimed Queen Bee, Serilda the Second, the Queen, the Horseman of War or the Second Horseman (after the betrayal of Henry Parrish), was a major antagonist-turned-one of the main characters of LOTM: Witnesses of Sleepy Hollow and LOTM: Star Spangled Crown, being the Supreme Witch of Darkness after Serilda of Abaddon and Lady Mary Van Tassel, but later she became a member of the Order of Flourish after her change of heart.
Throughout the story, no matter which kind of role she takes (either heroic or antagonistic), Christine/Kristen is always a major rival to the story's protagonist, Ichabod Crane, who (alongside her twin brother, Colin) was manipulated by her father (under Moloch's command) and became his tool to rise fame. After finding the truth, Christine went insane and developed a more selfish evil persona, known as Evil Christine, that was void of kindness towards her family and utterly selfish. After the resurrection of the real Christine due efforts made by her brother, Colin, the Evil Christine took over the caring Christine's body and turned into the final boss of LOTM: Witnesses of Sleepy Hollow - Death Arc - Blood Moon Sub Arc. She later became a new member of the Order of Flourish after her reformation with the help of Selina Strawberry. She becomes a good counterpart of Evil Christine. Once, she was was inserted with a false memory by Sister Mary Eunice but accepted her new identity, as later she was revealed to be exactly the hidden kindness inside Christine that was buried after she was driven to insanity.
Notably, Christine is perhaps one of the most notable redeemed villains in LOTM: Witnesses of Sleepy Hollow, and her Astaroth Future counterpart serves in a same role in the upcoming LOTM: Los Reina de Corazónes with her origin story being hidden. She first appeared in Blood Moon Sub Arc as the main antagonist, although it was revealed that her evil personality took control of herself.
After the revelation of her evil past, Kristen/Christine was tormented by her evil counterpart, who revealed the former's true identity and past crimes, but soon Kristen managed to go through her traumatic experiences and accepted her new identity as a hero. Unlike the Evil Christine who is cruel, sadistic and devious, this good counterpart is a lot more bubbly, kind, cheerful and polite, representing the hidden depth with Christine Van Bilj. Therefore, they should be treated as two different individuals for having different personalities.
After the the end of LOTM: Witnesses of Sleepy Hollow - Harvest Saga, she adopted her new name, Kristen Crane-Van Tassel, and joined the Team Witness. She later joined the Westchester County Police Department under the recommendation of Frank Irving as a new historical consultant. She later even gave herself a code name, Kristen Kiwifruit, and joined the reformed Order of Flourish in order to fight against Michael Langdon and delved into the deeper secrets of the mystic Dark Heaven.
She is an OC character created by Officer Candy Apple.

Overview[]
Naming Pun[]

St. Christina, by Moriz Schlachter, (c.1889)
Kristen is a first name, the Breton, Danish or Norwegian form of Christian. It is borne as a male name in Scandinavia as it originally was. In Breton, it is a male and female name. In English-speaking countries however, Kristen is now usually a female name, used as an alternative spelling of Kristin, a Scandinavian form of Christine.
Christine is mainly a feminine name of Greek or Egyptian origin, although it is also rarely used for males. It is derived from the word Christ, which derives from the Koine Greek word Christós, ultimately derived from the Egyptian kheru, "word" or "voice", used to replace the Biblical Hebrew term מָשִׁיחַ, māšîaḥ, "anointed". It is a name in regular usage in French, English, German, Scandinavian, Dutch, Irish, and Scottish cultures, and it is often associated with the meaning "follower of Christ." Other ways to say Christine are Christina, Kristina, Kristine, Kristen, Kirsten, Hristina, Cristina (most used in Portugal, Spain and Latin American countries), etc. In Estonia and Finland, the cognate is Kristiina. It is a popular name; for example, in 1968, it was the 14th most frequently-given name for girls in the United States. The name Christine can be shortened to Chris or Chrissy (Crissy).
Her code name after joining the Order of Flourish, "Kiwifruit", refers to a fruit. This follows the manner of an executive of OOF - a name of fruit or plant, which must makes an alliteration with the first letter of their first name. Kiwifruit (often abbreviated as kiwi) or Chinese gooseberry is the edible berries of several species of woody vines in the genus Actinidia. The most common cultivar group of kiwifruit ('Hayward') is oval, about the size of a large hen's egg (5–8 cm (2.0–3.1 in) in length and 4.5–5.5 cm (1.8–2.2 in) in diameter). It has a fibrous, dull greenish-brown skin and bright green or golden flesh with rows of tiny, black, edible seeds. The fruit has a soft texture and a sweet but unique flavor. It is a commercial crop in several countries, such as New Zealand, Italy, Chile, Greece, and France.
Design and Appearance[]

Kristen before joining the White Wizard
With obvious reasons, Kristen bears the same physical appearance as the evil Christine since they are essentially the same, having an appearance in twenties but lived far longer than that. However, the hair of Kristen was brighter in color, and her eyes was less evil-looking than her original evil counterpart.
All of the changes serves as a result of Christine losing her evil personality (as well as memory) as a price that her mortal soul being trapped inside the Sumerian Catatombs that trapped the Hidden One as well. That rendered both the appearance and the personality of Christine/Kristen, who no longer has any evil will and became a sane person with no memory of her past.
However, after joining the Order of Flourish and had her past revealed, Kristen conquered her inner despair and gained her own seat as the Order's Rookie Mage according to her will to seek vengeance on her evil counterpart. Under the arrangement of the White Wizard, Kristen became an apprentice of Selina Strawberry before turning into an agent of the Star Spangled Society.
Following a trademark of the Star Spangled Society, Kristen dyed some part of her hair into blue, white and red (the colors of French Tricolours) to symbolize liberty, equality and fraternity, which the Order of Flourish believed in their motto. As an echo to this, the uniform of Kristen resembled French Navy soldiers.
Introduction[]
Christine Van Bilj (Dark Side)[]
- See Also: Evil Christine

Christine abused her masoquist brother, Colin, when they were teenagers.
Christine Van Bilj is a child prodigy whose intelligence could match against the intelligence of Ichabod Crane, Vanifer, Jeremy Crane, Malcolm Dreyfuss, Michael Langdon and Melancholia, who were all considered as some of the most intelligent characters in LOTM: Witnesses of Sleepy Hollow storyline.
Due to the death of Carousel Van Bilj, one of the most prominent founders of the Order of Blood Moon, Van Bilj Family suffered from a severe blow. Carousel's only son, Caspar, needed to prevent the name of Van Bilj from vanishing. With dark magic, Caspar Van Bilj had planned to enhance the intelligence of his newly born twin children - one boy and one girl, who were then infants, in order to make them tools for him to gain his own glory.
Christine was born to be a genius, and the magic enhanced her intelligence greatly, making her even more intelligent than before. Colin, however, remained in the almost the same level of intelligence but was more skilled within strategy, more so than ordinary people. In order to study more on black magic, Caspar moved his base into Trenton, and that would become the base of Christine and would be entirely transported by Colin to Sleepy Hollow in Death Arc, serving as a base for Van Bilj Family. With the siblings' enhanced intelligence, Caspar was determined that Christine would be his heir.

Christine started fantasizing herself as the queen of the humanity.
However, with her father's expectation and spoiling, Christine developed a nasty personality which is utterly spoiled and prideful, being narcissistic towards many of her classmates, especially her rival student Ichabod Crane who was as intelligent as she was. As she was aging, Christine grew taller and taller, more and more beautiful, and most importantly, more and more clever, but the accelerated increase of her cleverness had somewhat caused a mentally twist in her personality, and we could find patterns of reasons from the research of the late Jean Piaget.
According to Piaget, if someone had burdened with too much knowledge in their childhood and gained expectations of an overwhelming scale, their personality will be developed unhealthily, with an arrogant personality as well as bigoted behaviors.

Colin and Christine as children
This proves to be true within many cases like Christine herself. She had a sheer scale of intelligence that was too much for her age, and was very much expected by her family to carry its burden. Therefore, Christine developed potential selfishness and arrogance that she herself was at first unaware, having being ignorant to what happened beside her and only lived in her own world with nothing but sheer indifference. All of those features inside Christine's evil personality became alive and took over the soul of Christine, not long after Caspar's crime was fully exposed, making Christine insane.
Soon, even worse, under her evil personality's influence, Christine started to believe that strong shall rule the weak in this world, becoming a social Darwinist of some sort. She deemed family and love as nothing but stairs for her to reach her goal. Therefore, even as a child, Christine developed a god complex and believed that the law of the jungle would be worked on everyone. Nevertheless, even with her cruelty and God complex, Christine's intelligence was deemed to be so perfect that it was even horrifying. The twist in her personality formed a great contrast within her perfect wisdom.

Christine's true and cruel personality after her god complex went out of control, becoming an evil genius.
Regardless of what she had done to gain fame and power, Christine's story would be considered as somewhat truly sympathetic if she did not murder her brother and showed no sadness about his demise. As a child prodigy, Christine was a combination of wisdom, beauty as well as the power that would control everything.
During her conflict with Atticus Nevins who was already enhanced by black magic, Christine almost overpowered Nevins despite Nevins was empowered. The sad fact was that Christine was used as a tool by her father to gain wealth and fame, and because of this, the life of Christine was destined to be pathetic. The ultimate revelation of the fact was the start of her darkness which drove her insane. Going extreme, Christine released her spite and anger by turning her father into a bee-monster after treating him like a guinea pig for her newly-made toxin.
Desiring to rule humanity as its queen, Christine would later demonstrate similar experiments upon other citizens. In order to achieve immortality, Christine even put herself inside the hibernation and would awaken so that she would ultimately became one with her toxin, going into a sleepy for more than two centuries.
However, according to Selina Strawberry who revealed the fact afterwards, Christine awakened in a time far too late from its proper time, very likely due to Colin who was deceived by Moloch and had a delusion that his sister was awakened and returned back to him, not knowing he was acting like her all along. This indirectly caused Christine's insanity when her Evil Counterpart fully took over her body.
Kristen Kiwifruit[]

What if Christine is on the side of hero...
As many who had know about her know, Christine Van Bilj is a spoiled and sadistic monster in human skin who will commit atrocities and cruel things as much as she wants, out of nothing but spite.
However, as strange it may sounds, if Christine was never spoiled and was not used as a prodigious tool by her father, Caspar, her life and personality would be developed positively. Kristen Kiwifruit is like a what-if scenario that Christine was not evil, uncaring and cruel.
Kristen's false memory was formed based on Colin's own point of view of his twin sister; nice, ambitious, dependable and caring, which none of those the real Christine possessed. After Ichabod's trying to rescue Abbie from Purgatory, the evil soul of Christine along with her past memories were sucked into Pandora's Box and teleported into the Catatombs, leaving her body with no memory as well as evil personality, but with no loss of intelligence.
Losing her evil personality and past memory, Kristen becomes nothing but an embodiment of some hidden kindness inside the original Christine (before turning insane by the revealing of her father's heinous actions) towards her brother, Colin, who was the only faithful family member that did not betray her. It was a surprise to both Sister Mary Eunice and Abbie Mills since they knew that the original and evil Christine Van Bilj was nothing but a murderer who had committed fratricide and felt no remorse on it, nullifying her only sign of redemption.

Christine's Villainous Breakdown after knowing she was used and deceived by her father.
It was revealed by Katrina Crane (after reading through Christine's past) that Christine was once caring towards her brother Colin (although sometimes being strict to him to make him the one who can carry on their family name) and maintained the basic respect towards her father, Caspar, until it was revealed that he exploited the twins' talents for his heinous deeds.
It was the very first time Christine felt abandoned and lost, and thus she went insane and became less caring towards her brother. The insanity combined with her arrogance and became the driving motive towards her evil fratricide. She became nothing but an insane and cold-hearted psychopath due to her father's evil deeds.
Kristen, on the other hand, had no memory of being shocked by the revelation of her father's exploitation despite being a part of the original Christine. The evil and insanity inside the original Christine had been trapped inside the Catacombs and thus splitting them in half. The hidden loving and selfless side inside the mind of Christine, which should have died long ago, became rekindled and formed a renewed Christine who had no memory of committing evil and insane atrocities. Even so, she maintained her own potential chance of building intelligence, and it was later became an advantage after she joined the Order of Flourish.

The renewed Christine Van Bilj, who is fully sane.
In order to make her away from being driven back into insanity again, a plan was started to renew Christine's soul. Under the advice of Selina Strawberry, who needed Christine's talent to save the town from the fate of utter destruction (caused by the Hidden One's awakening) and bring forth the Feast of Apollo (a secret plan that was oblivious to the Team Witness), Katrina Crane, Maria Arzonia, Ichabod Crane and Sister Mary Eunice had to brainwash this "Christine" and make them her friend despite their high reluctance. They later tried hard to accept her as a friend, and Kristen was not bother the fact that the Team was somehow afraid of her, wanting to get closer to them and confessing that they were her friends, winning their trust. She also showed great acceptance to modern dress, despite she still prefer the dress of 18th century, like Ichabod.
Even so, there were times when Kristen remembered her dark past, especially when she discovered Atticus Nevins and Michael Langdon's plan to enhance the Croatoan Virus with the blood of the original Christine, causing some of her memories snapped back. Meanwhile, the return of the Evil Christine, who escaped from the Catatombs via reading ancient words accurately and fluently, had found her good counterpart.

Kristen taking to the White Wizard inside the base of the Order of Flourish
Feeling humiliated that she met someone who was like herself in a mirror but was working with the Witnesses, the original Christine then deemed her so-called good counterpart as a fake, and she revealed that they were one and the same, in an attempt to drive her into despair so that she could take over her again. The original Christine then almost drove Kristen into despair by revealing her fratricide, claiming them to be the one and the same. The original Christine intended to take down her false good counterpart and merge with her so that she would be whole once again, but due to the interference of the White Wizard (Lord Helio in disguise), Kristen was saved.
Under the White Wizard's help and training, Kristen then joined the Order of Flourish as one of its rookie mages. She embraced her new self and realized her fate was her own, being a wholly different person from the vile and malevolent "original Christine". She mourned Colin and Caspar on behalf of her past self and accepted herself as a new identity, "Kristen Crane-Van Tassel", so that she would say goodbye to her evil past and became a true heroic warrior. After her return, Kristen had gained her own magic ring from the White Wizard and was capable to cast light element magic against her evil counterpart.

Kristen on the chair of Rookie Mage meeting with the White Wizard
However, Kristen still had some selfish part her evil self had (despite her selfishness was not being as serious as her evil self), since she was stuck inside the thirst of revenge against her evil counterpart, considering the fact that her evil counterpart committed family murder. She saw revenge as the only reason she became a witch in the Order of Flourish. She later became a secret agent working for the White Wizard, believing he had good intentions. However, turned out she became nothing but a pawn for Helio's plan to start the Feast of Apollo, until Ichabod managed to save her. Kristen later blended herself into the Team Witness, wanting to save life and protect the others instead of only aiming at her vengeance.
In her debut in LOTM: Los Reina de Corazónes, where she appeared in her post-Tribulation time, Kristen's true identity was kept secret and she only appeared as one of the most trusted underlings of Selina, who had lived in the Enchanted Forest after Moloch's final demise. However, There were some foreshadowing that hinted Kristen's identity (other than her first name). For example, in a meeting with Future Maria, Kristen said that she met Maria in another timeline and had an influence in her creation. Kristen also implied that she was made from a evil woman and "lived like nothing but a shell" until she found the true meaning of her own destiny, thus becoming a hero.
Tarot Motif - III. The Empress[]

Empress Arcana
The Empress (III) is the third trump or Major Arcana card in traditional Tarot decks. It is used in Tarot card games as well as divination. The Empress sits on a throne wearing a starry crown, holding a scepter in one hand.
The scepter is representative of her power over life, her crown has twelve stars representing her dominance over the year, and her throne is in the midst of a field of grain, representative of her dominion over growing things. The Empress is representative of the productivity of the subconscious, seeded by ideas. She is meant to be the embodiment of the growth of the natural world, fertility, and what one knows or believes from the heart.
In tarot readings, the Empress represents mothers, prosperity, creativity, sexuality, abundance, fertility, protection, and comfort (most often in helping maintain peace around them like an ideal mother would.)
Waite and the other occultists are responsible for the starry crown, the emblem of Venus, the waterfall, and the vegetation and wildlife. In historical decks, the Empress sits on a throne, almost always holding a shield or orb in one hand and a scepter in the other. The shield typically bears an eagle, the heraldic emblem of the Holy Roman Empire.
The Empress can be represented by Aphrodite, a figure from Greek mythology. The empress connects with the Death card, for she is accustomed to life, death and rebirth.
Animal Motif - Queen Bee[]

An unmarked queen bee.
The term queen bee is typically used to refer to an adult, mated female (gyne) that lives in a honey bee colony or hive; she is usually the mother of most, if not all, of the bees in the beehive. Queens are developed from larvae selected by worker bees and specially fed in order to become sexually mature. There is normally only one adult, mated queen in a hive, in which case the bees will usually follow and fiercely protect her.
The term "queen bee" can be more generally applied to any dominant reproductive female in a colony of a eusocial bee species other than honey bees. However, as in the Brazilian stingless bee Schwarziana quadripunctata, a single nest may have multiple queens or even dwarf queens, ready to replace a dominant queen in a case of sudden death.
During the warm parts of the years, female "worker" bees leave the hive every day to collect nectar and pollen. While male bees serve no architectural or pollinating purpose, their primary function (if they are healthy enough) is to mate with a queen bee. If they are successful, they fall to the ground and die after copulation. Any fertilized egg has the potential to become a queen. Diet in the larval stage determines whether the bee will develop into a queen or a worker. Queens are fed only royal jelly, a protein-rich secretion from glands on the heads of young workers. Worker larva are fed bee bread which is a mixture of nectar and pollen. All bee larvae are fed some royal jelly for the first few days after hatching but only queen larvae are fed the jelly exclusively. As a result of the difference in diet, the queen will develop into a sexually mature female, unlike the worker bees.
Queens are raised in specially constructed queen cells. The fully constructed queen cells have a peanut-like shape and texture. Queen cells start out as queen cups. Queen cups are larger than the cells of normal brood comb and are oriented vertically instead of horizontally. Worker bees will only further build up the queen cup once the queen has laid an egg in a queen cup. In general, the old queen starts laying eggs into queen cups when conditions are right for swarming or supersedure. Swarm cells hang from the bottom of a frame while supersedure queens or emergency queens are generally raised in cells built out from the face of a frame.
As the young queen larva pupates with her head down, the workers cap the queen cell with beeswax. When ready to emerge, the virgin queen will chew a circular cut around the cap of her cell. Often the cap swings open when most of the cut is made, so as to appear like a hinged lid.
During swarming season, the old queen is likely to leave with the prime swarm before the first virgin queen emerges from a queen cell. A virgin queen is a queen bee that has not mated with a drone. Virgins are intermediate in size between workers and mated, laying queens, and are much more active than the latter. They are hard to spot while inspecting a frame, because they run across the comb, climbing over worker bees if necessary, and may even take flight if sufficiently disturbed. Virgin queens can often be found clinging to the walls or corners of a hive during inspections.

Physical Appearance[]
Christine[]

Christine and Colin, as a pigeon pair, shows half-identical traits in their physical appearance. Christine is a beautiful and well-proportionate young lady who has brunette hair and green eyes. She is very tall, being almost as tall as Ichabod, and she is also very slender, being even taller and more beautiful than Katrina. Christine is proud of her beauty and tall stature, mainly because of her narcissistic personality. Christine is also physically fit as a woman in her age, being able to wrestle and fight with men with bare fists or in a sword fight, which made her one of the most dangerous enemies Ichabod had faced.
All the time, she often shows haughty attitude and carries an aggressive atmosphere with her, mainly when she lashes towards her most bitter rival, of whom is undoubtedly Ichabod Crane. Perhaps, her most distinctive feature would be none other than her cold and haughty stare, and she often laughed in a way of noblewoman, "Oh-hohohoho", which made her hubris seemed stronger.

Christine as the Horseman of War
Aside from her haughty attitude and her beauty, Christine also wears men's uniform when she serves the British Empire, being a great contrast to what people would expected from an 18th century's English woman, making her a lot more like a tomboy except with her long hair. Her appearance never changed after being awakened in 21st century, keeping herself as a woman in a face of 20 years old. She also never aged, unlike Ichabod who still aged after his resurrection, mainly because of the poison inside her transformed her into an immortal. As a result of this, her blood was later used as one of the most important ingredients to produce Supreme Croatoan Virus, due to being a blood from an immortal witch.
Inside her Queen Bee form, Christine's hair turned blond and her eyes turned yellow. She manifested two more arms and summoned two pairs of wings, as well as a large drill connected to her spine. Under this form, as seeing from Purgatory Arc, Christine speaks less and shows a more callous side, and her entire body becomes a lot lighter than her human form. Her hands also transformed into sharp claws that could injured her foes simply by scratching. By the end of Conquest Arc, Christine later became the Horseman of War after Frank Irving broke from the War Armor's possession. Because of her eternal youth, Christine can wear the Horseman of War armor herself, unlike Henry Parrish, who controlled the armor to attack. As the Horseman of War, Christine looks like a medieval knight who wields the Horseman's fiery sword, riding a dark red horse. Her face became much more cold and callous, as if she had turned souless.
Kristen[]
Personality[]
Good Side[]

Kristen taking care of Zoe Corinth.
Unlike the evil side within the original Christine Van Bilj, this "good side of Christine" is much more kind and compassionate instead of being evil and selfish, showing the softer side within Christine when she was still sane. Although having a false memory and brainwashed into a hero, Kristen soon accepted her new personality due to being the good side of her original self. With the help of the Order of Flourish, especially her mentors, the White Wizard and Selina Strawberry, Kristen realized the way of error in her mind and became a hero willingly.
When she fist met her evil counterpart, Kristen was shocked and thought the evil Christine was her twin sister, but soon found out that the two were one and the same. The evil Christine manipulate Kristen's weakness of being a brainwashed hero by revealing the truth towards her.
At first, when she realized the truth that she was once a monster, Kristen broke down in sheer sadness and despair, much to her evil counterpart's glee. However, Kristen came to believe that even though her own story was a fake, the days with the Team Witness was realistic and they did care for her, especially after seeing Selina was willing to sacrifice herself to save her from utter despair. That made Kristen away from despair and eventually accepting her new personality as a hero.

Kristen as a new member of the Order of Flourish
Within the three Rookie Mages of the Order that the White Wizard found, Kristen is the only person that is willingly to become one of the Star Spangled Society without being coerced so that she could fulfill her desire of vengeance against her evil counterpart. When she returns as a Rookie Mage, she shows great will of fight against her evil counterpart and protect Ichabod from being harmed. Inside the Archives, Kristen also shows friendly attitude towards Zoe Corinth when she healed Zoe's reappearing wound with her magic ring, showing that there was one more people who was willing to help Zoe from her state of illness.
During her times with her new teammates, Kristen and the Team Witness became bonded and thus regarding them as her true friend instead of people who used her as a tool (which her evil counterpart had claimed). Kristen maintains great respect on Selina as well, despite latter being a strict and no-nonsense mentor towards her and when Selina was feeling despair when Lord Helio's true identity was revealed, Kristen managed to encourage Selina to snap out of her despaired state, nullifying the effects of the Feast of Apollo upon her and saved the latter from her dark side, also returning the favor.

Kristen quickly got use to dressing in her modern-styled dress.
As the time past, Kristen came to realize the true meaning in protecting Shines from Twelve Nethers, and she found out that she had been stuck inside her own petty revenge (as stated below in her dark side of personality). She had turned into a selfless and dependable person as well, becoming willing to grant others hope and live for the sake of others. After the death of Lord Helio and the rise of Phyllis Peach, Kristen is shocked by the evil crime of Phyllis and she immediately joined the final battle against the rising tyrantess. Stating that she did not care who gave her such a power, Kristen was willing to fight with it as long as it could help people in need.
Like her original evil self, Kristen had became use to the modern society a lot more faster than both of her evil self's rivals, Ichabod and Katrina Crane. However, Kristen did not want to use modern tools for the sake of evil. This is a complete contrast to her original evil self, who use and abuse her power and new gadgets, in order to serve for the amusement and good for herself.
However, even with the wipe of her own evil self, Kristen still had her own dark side as stated by the section below. The greatest priority inside her own personality (before she undergo a character development) was just revenge before reason. That was why she joined the Order of Flourish as well as the White Wizard since he gave her the promise to destroy the evil Christine and avenge the deceased Van Bilj Family, but Kristen became a pawn of the White Wizard, who was soon revealed to also be both Wiseman and Lord Helio, who used the Zodiac Demons to form Rookie Mages, before using the Rookie Mages and the First Witness to start the Second Feast of Apollo. Ironic enough, both the good and the evil Christine had their feelings and wishes manipulated by the same man, despite in different ways.
The following section will highlight the darker side of Kristen as well as her redemption.
Dark Side[]

Kristen in an attempt to accomplish the White Wizard's mission for fulfilling her own revenge
Considering many of the members in the Order of Flourish, even including the purest and kindest members like Selina Strawberry and Helene Hawthorn, have their dark side, it is certain that Kristen is not completely perfect despite being the polar opposite of her evil counterpart.
Despite her kind and cheerful personality, Kristen has some part of her original evil counterpart as well, like some of her selfishness (despite not being on an evil scale). She had been drenched in hatred towards her evil counterpart who almost drove her into despair and killed so many people in her family with selfish reasons.
Kristen regards Caspar as her father and Colin as her brother, unlike her evil counterpart who saw Caspar as nothing but a lying enemy and saw Colin as nothing but a pawn, respectively. Despite still hating her father for his deceiving actions after recalling her full life, Kristen had soon saw Caspar's note of atonement and tended to forgive him, seeing herself being lost in hatred towards her father. She would fall into dark side and despair again had Ichabod never showed her the last message of Caspar in an attempt to save his daughter.

Kristen was surprised and moved by Ichabod and Katrina's point of view upon the true destiny for Sleepy Hollow
Therefore, Kristen starts to sympathize her father and sees the original evil Christine as nothing but a monster who kill almost the entire Van Bilj Family bloodline (especially Colin, who did everything for her sister without asking for praise) due to selfish reasons. This fueled her own mind of revenge and made her to join the White Wizard and subsequently the Order of Flourish in the process.
Driven by the thirst of revenge, Kristen had been manipulated by the White Wizard, her mentor, into taking Calvin Cranberry's Infinite Magic Ring so that she will gain a Holy Magic Ring to gain Holy Magic Power, a kind of power that will wound the evil Christine fatally. She then joined Calvin and Ichabod's force in assisting them to destroy the Zodiac Demon, while trying to seize a chance to take Calvin's Infinite Ring from him, unwittingly rendering him back to a normal mage so that the White Wizard can truly place him under his control.
However, as Kristen getting closer to Ichabod, Calvin and the Team Witness, she was moved by Ichabod's words that he did not want fame or power in his deeds of saving the town of Sleepy Hollow. He just wanted to protect the citizens, hiding witches and warlocks, as well as Shines in order to keep the town in the state filled with hope and happiness.

Kristen regained her resolution to protect others
It used to be something that Ichabod believed Lord Helio would do when he knew his true identity of being Carmichael Clearness, the White Wizard and Zoe (who was revealed to be a reincarnated Hestia Hawthorn). In addition, Katrina Crane came to reveal that after all those time struggling inside Sleepy Hollow, she found out that the true destiny of Team Witness and Sleepy Hollow, which should be helping the others and saving people's life, instead of sticking in the dread of past.
This had moved Kristen and made her confess her true intention of joining the Team Witness in front of Ichabod. Then, much to her own horror, Kristen eventually found herself being ironically heading towards exactly something like "that monster", the original evil Christine which was nothing but herself. She tearfully confessed her deeds in front of Ichabod and Katrina, saying she was still that selfish, spoiled, sly and manipulative monster inside her heart despite denying "her" for so long. After Ichabod giving her the Infinity Ring to show his trust on Lord Helio, Kristen revealed that she will use her power to crash the plan of the Wiseman as well as find a way to purify the Order of Flourish from its inner insanity, finally enduring the ordeal brought by her inner dark side.
Lazuli Lavenna (Lapis Lazuli Lavenna Lavender) - Zodiac Nether[]

Kristen resurfaces as Lapis
In City of Gold Arc within Mateus Saga, after her heroic sacrifice to bring an end to her evil counterpart once and for all, Kristen merged herself with Kaysie's crystal, and she somehow gained another persona via a secret vessel in the past, who called herself as Lazuli Lavenna. Her appearance altered and became Lazuli as well as her personality merging some traits of Lazuli' as well.
According to Kristen herself, this woman was named Lazuli Lavenna, who was living inside her own Mind Palace, is the twin sister of Lavenna Lavender, who was cast out from her family because of Lavender Family's own superstition that twins means terror and unfortunate omen.
Born Lapis Lazuli Lavenna Lavender, Lapis was cast out from her own family. However, what the Lavender never knew was that, under the secret arrangement of Phyllis Peach, who convinced the Lavenders' Household to abandon Lapis, Lavenna ended up sending to secretly joined the Zodiac Demons' Cults.
Many years later, approximately 2 years before the fatal night when the Feast of Apollo occurred, Lapis had become a callous and cruel person under Moloch and his followers' care. She also becomes bold, willing to go into all sort of boiling water no matter how much risk she would take. Then, in order to seek her own vengeance upon her parents and twin sister, Lapis tried to snatch the crystal of Nether Kaysie the Demon Princess, but her will was not strong enough, making her soul devoured by the power of Kaysie.

Lapis' Memory smiling at the Team Witness, showing her friendly side coming from Kristen
Because of her own compassion due to Lazuli' sad tragedy, Kaysie didn't fully digested the soul of Lazuli, but instead sealing her inside the crystal to honor her. Kaysie is also showing talking to her own crystal, much to the bewilderment of other Nethers. Since Kaysie had traumatized and felt guilty towards the death of Lapis, she refused to give her own crystal to anyone. However, this was changed after Evil Christine snatched the Nether Crystal and forced Kaysie to fuse with her.
At this moment, the subconscious of Lazuli still exists inside the Crystal of Kaysie, thanks to the Nethers' own efforts. Kaysie's words actually makes Lazuli to have a change of heart. For the very first time, Lazuli finds someone who openly shares her feelings of being an uncared child to Lazuli, a person who can really feel sorry for her. Her own hatred towards her family died out eventually after knowing that her parents were killed by Moloch's minions and her sister gave her life to avenge her loved ones in the endgame against Phyllis Peach, leaving her no hatred to her family any longer.

Lapis showed original Christine's own arrogant and sacarstic side after she merged with Kristen
However, after Entisrich fused herself with the Crystal of Kaysie, even knowing the own existence of Lazuli, Lazuli wasn't happy since she found Evil Christine as a self-made orphan. Thus, during Evil Christine's final struggling, Lazuli locked up some power of Kaysie in order to make Entisrich lose, much to the latters' confusion.
Before the third and final death of Entisrich, Lazuli eventually made her first formal appearance inside Entisrich's own subconsciousness, showing that she's not the only person (besides Kaysie) who lives inside the Nether Crystal of Virgo, and someone so disloyal and selfish person like Entisrich can never know the power of Kaysie, right before Kristen snatched out Nether Crystal and fused with it, putting an end to Evil Christine's reign of terror once and for all.
After that, Lazuli possessed Kristen's body, and two of them (alongside a redeemed Kaysie) decided to go on a plan to eliminate Hubert Zodiak, in order to finish him and his crazy plan off by stopping him from fusing with the crystal of Nether Sorensen the Demon Prince, although she has some conflict against Team Witness, who was unaware of Lazuli' true nature and Kaysie's redemption.

Lapis showing Kaysie's sadistic side
During this time, Lazuli bonded herself with Kristen. She represents the logical and calm side of the original Christine. Whenever Kristen became utterly frustrated due to her sore loser personality, Lazuli will appear to calm her down, and telling her that complaining makes no good. Their relationship is purely family relationship, as the two sees each other as sisters.
Even so, Lazuli not only has her original distant and cold personality existed, but also had a little old Christine inside her. Not only she talked less, but also Lazuli occasionally acted both callous and arrogant. She also shares Kaysie's cruel point of view in the world, like saying the famous catchphrase of both Kaysie and Michael Langdon, "The weak don't even have rights to choose their death." Even so, Lazuli is not utterly evil, as she also has Kristen's kind-hearted and selfless personality.
Eventually, after the destruction of Sorensen, Kristen went on a therapy to deal with her split personalities. Thanks to Gregory Grape's efforts, she started to believe that all of her personalities are all several birds in the same feathers, thus merging them all together inside her mind. Later, all of those personality of Kristen, Christine, Lazuli and Kaysie merged together into one unique Christine Van Bilj, who kept her own codename as Kristen Kiwifruit, having a physical appearance and her old cool-like-a-Popsicle personality of Lazuli, showing power and immortality of Kaysie, showing her high intelligence of Christine, and showing distinguish personalities & traits of them all.

Pure of Heart Proposal[]

"No, it is not Van Bilj. Not anymore. I am no longer being that woman with God complex anymore. Henceforth, my true name shall be Chrstine Crane-Van Tassel. I am here with the Witnesses."
The upcoming character have numerous names, including the names like Kristen Van Tassel, Christine Crane, Kristen Kiwi, or more precisely and yet unbelievably... Christine Van Bilj... is the good counterpart of a villain who is a Complete Monster as well as the protagonist of Christien VS. Christine Arc of Pandora Saga. Kristen (sometime referred as "Christine") is the hidden vulnerable but kind side of the original Christine Van Bilj, formed when the evil side of Christine was sucked into Catatombs and was split from the hidden good inside Christine's heart. Kristen then lost her memories of being committed into evil. Due to the coming attack of the Hidden One, Sister Mary Eunice was forced to brainwash "Christine" into Kristen Van Bilj with a false heroic memory, making her a hero. Kristen eventually sided with Ichabod to deal with the minions of Hidden One, believing them to be friends. As the time passed by, due to Maria Arzonia's efforts, the Team Witness eventually distinguished her from the evil Christine that terrorized them and accepted her to their friends. However, when the evil Christine returned and revealed to Kristen about the entire truth, Kristen was almost driven into despair by the fact that she was once a villain that ruined her family to achieve her own goal. However, Kristen then realized despite having a false memory, the love and care from her friends were not false, the caring from Colin was not false. Realizing Colin did not awaken her up in time was because he fell into false delusions tragically, the "good" Christine finally feel remorse what she had done and decided to defeat her original evil counterpart in order to avenge her brother, whom she finally saw as a family. She later recanted her sin in front of Colin's grave and won his own forgiveness. Under her brother's advise, the good Kristen/Christine later adopted the new family name, "Van Tassel", so that she would say goodbye to her evil past counterpart and her family's dark past forever. When the evil Christine returned as Charlotte Raisin, Kristen decided to take her down with no hesitation, even knowing she would die in it. However, seemly losing her way after the final death of her evil counterpart, Kristen found herself to be used by a darkened Selina Strawberry all along to activate Dawn's Early Light. Even so, when Phyllis Peach started to massacre the town and tried to raise another attack, Kristen participated the plan with no efforts. After joining the Order of Flourish under the code name of "Kristen Kiwi", Kristen later took the place of historical consultant of WCPD under the arrangement of a redeemed Selina and Albert Apple in order to deal with another rising threat; Michael Langdon. Up to this point, Kristen finally separated herself from the malevolent evil genius, using her intelligence to gather information the Witnesses needs. She became nothing much alike to Christine Van Bilj, the true monster that shall haunt the days of Sleepy Hollow even after death.

Power and Abilities[]
Queen Bee Physiology & Mimicry[]

Queen (marked) and workers of the Africanised honey bee, Apis mellifera scutellata
The genetic construction of Christine had granted her the power from hybrid genes and wasps, particularly a queen bee, giving her power to take control over her workers, minions and soldiers. She can also transform into a half-human, half-bee/wasp hybrid.
Because of her hybrid status, Christine also shows tremendous ability of reproduction as well as a fast reproduction rate, giving birth to twenty humanoid children in the following 10–15 years after her departure from Sleepy Hollow, and the father of all her children is her husband, Crow Faux.
In addition, due to the eggs she had produced, all of her humanoid children are at the very least fractual triplets to sextupylet, and her first childborn gave birth to a group of sextupulet, Christine's immortality as a witch means her fertility leads no bounds, something that terrified Selina Strawberry that she immediately adviced Christine to stop giving birth to any more children for another ten years.
A fact is that a newborn virgin queen bee will search and kill other queen bees once they are born until they can only be one. Christine resorted this as allowing her own children to compete against each other while also working with each other in the terms of grade and delligence as her own way of her encouragement to them, hoping to look for a successor.
Her favorite child so far is her eldest daughter of them all, Francesca Van Bilj, who is the first of the aforementioned sextuplet to be born. Francesca shares her mother's physical apperance and intellegence the most. However, she was also in contact with Francesca's younger siblings to avoid jealousy.
Christine's mimicry towards a queen bee, in both literal and figurative sense, shows her obssession over this kind of insect and their social hierarchy.
Poison Ability & Toxicology[]

Christine's purple toxic rose
Christine / Kristen is a master at toxin and poison, being able to use all sorts of poison to do her own bidding. Due to her two-century-old slumber in order to battle against the magical bee poison she injected into herself, Christine became a natural producer of poison, and she can create poison out of her own free will without getting herself harmed. She is also fully immune to poison attack, even those from Nether Kaysie the Demon Princess, which makes her survived the ordeal after fusing with Kaysie's crystal (Moloch's Reborn Timeline only).
After returning back, Christine demonstrate several toxic attack like grabbing someone's neck, lifting them up and injecting them with poison with her nails nailed into their neck. For ordinary humans, they'll die instantly if she wasn't stopped in time. Even for those souls from Purgatory, as seen on her torture against a reformed Andy Brooks, the poison would give them horrendous pain as well as fear of being tormented and disfigured like other souls under Moloch's oppression.

A bottle of poison made by Christine
Christine also has knowledge of poisonous flower and intentionally planted them inside her own garden, taking their pollen and nectar with her Queen Bee ability and create lethal toxin mixture that have no cure. She's also careful in creating mixtures since she knew some poison may nullify the power of the others, rendering it harmless. She also breeds new kinds of poisonous flowers that seemed harmless, in order to cause confusion. Her most notable flower that she bred was a kind of bush with large purple roses, which can cause strong allergy and poisoning if humans touched its pollen, either through touching or through air.
The power of Christine, as well as her immortality and immune to poison, combined with her knowledge on toxicology makes her one of the most cunning enemy Ichabod had encountered yet. Besides spreading toxic pollen, Christine can also directly inject her enemy with toxin with her bee stinger, which is not only poisonous but also painful for its victim when they were about to be stabbed through.
After her return as Kristen, Christine can exploit her new ability given by the White Wizard in order to expand the power of her poison. She can mix her poison with the candy syrup and honey she create and makes them as baits to lure her enemies into it, force-feeding them with toxic candy and killing them as a result. This was called a feeling of "toxic sweetness" by Christine herself, and it's the reason to make Cordelia Foxx and members from the Lunar Coven to fear her. No doubt, after her return as a mage from the Order of Flourish, even with her apparent redemption, Christine / Kristen became a lot more dangerous than ever rather than more tamed.
Order of Flourish - Magic Rings[]
Holy Magic Ring[]
Confectionery Magic[]
While choosing the elemental power to study, Kristen choose one of the most seemly unharmed and even silly type of magic: Confectionery Magic. She is allowed to create, shape and manipulate all kinds of confectioneries with her magic, including candy bars, honey, sweet cream, chocolates, licorice, sour candies, salty candies, tart candies, hard candies, taffies, gumdrops, marshmallows, etc. This kind of ability was at first seemly made of laugh, but soon it became a powerful and serious attack when it really turned offensive.
This is also a reference to the original evil Christine Van Bilj who is fond of sweets.
Candy Manipulation[]

Kristen as the Candy Mage
In her candy power, Kristen can control and reshape candy in any form she wants, even being able to make it move as if it was a mechanical construct, as shown when Kristen created a candy escalator that functioned like a real one. The candy created by the user is edible, as Kristen stated that the witches from Cordelia's coven could eat it when she was done with the battle.
When hardened, the candy becomes incredibly strong and resilient, able to hold down the superhuman army of Blaze Banana and even his moving castle, as well as blocking cannon fire. The Candy Wire summoned by Kristen was also able to slice through the building and made it split in half.
The candy conjured by Kristen's powers will be soften and melt after a certain time, but later it will stay harden in normal temperature after she mastered her power completely. Similarly, intense heat being applied with force can cause the candy to shatter or melt away. If Kristen dies, loses consciousness or is severely injured enough, all the candy conjured will vanish.
- Candy Reconstruction: With her ability to produce candy syrup, Kristen is capable of replacing her lost right arm when she lost her right arm with a candy prosthesis in the battle against Blaze Banana.
- Candy Puppet: Kristen coats an opponent with candy syrup, which will then seep into their body. After 30 seconds, the candy will completely fill their insides and stop their breathing, killing them.
- Candy Escalator: Kristen summons her candy cane and conjures a massive spiraled candy escalator that is both working and edible at the same time.
- Candy Syrup Mimicry: Kristen can use her ability to transform into a kind of amber-colored candy syrup. The stickiness of the syrup allows him to trap her opponents in her body when they attack him, which then gives him the free opportunity to pummel them with his great strength. Kristen can turn into liquid syrup to let attacks bypass her, evading harm. The syrup can also be used to instigate other techniques.
- Candy Wave: Kristen binds a target with candy, immobilizing them.
- Candy Wall: Kristen creates a large wall of candy to block attacks.
- Lollipop Armor: Kristen shields herself from the attack by wrapping herself into candy syrup and hardened it into a form of armor, resembling a shape of a sphere lollipop.
- Lollipop Blast: Kristen blows up the lollipop armor from inside, forming bullet storm made of hard candy fragments that can act as real bullets. The shards would widespread in a wide radius to cause damage on an army of enemies that surrounded her.
- Candy Wire: Kristen uses her syrup to turn them into wires made of hard candy and slice her enemy. Under the normal temperature, the wire is as hard as iron and can slice through stones.
- Candy Pavement: A method of transport where Kristen creates a road or bridge of candy and moves it across the air, allowing people to simply walk on top of it.
Sugar Manipulation[]
Honey Manipulation[]
Awakening Techniques[]
Samatha Van Bilj after being empowered and transformed by her mother
- Regenerating Reproduction: Kristen could revive her children and minions through a similar technic like above, by absorbing their corpse and turned them into eggs. After the eggs was hatched, they would be revived even if their bodies were in pieces. Unlike the Absorbing Reproduction, Kristen's children would be regenerated and hatched in their orginal form, even with their outfits pre-morterm fully unchanged. Their memories, personalities and rationalited would also remain untouched, while becoming much stronger in the process thanks to the empowerment from both their mother and Selina Strawberry's Supreme Croatoan magic.
- However, this technique still has weaknesses: Kristen cannot revive anyone if their corpse was burnt, completely decayed and/or charred, nor those that are not related to or created by Kristen. Besides, she can only uses this on each of her children for at most three times, and will exhaust Kristen's own mana if overused. As a result, this is merely a last resort for her.
Relationship[]
Crow Faux[]
"All for you. You're my only queen." |

Kristen and Crow as the Nether Hosts
In spite of born in two families with feud against each other, Christine and Crow Faux had developed a romantic relationship ever since they were younger, and Christine often compares herself as Juliet while Crow is her Romeo. At that time, Crow was already being adopted by Hubert Zodiak, a zealous follower of Moloch, while Christine was yet to lose her sanity.
Christine is infamous for her harsh and cold attitude to any male that are not related to her by blood, and she also treated Ichabod Crane badly. Even so, her warmth and affection still exist and were devoted to Colin (her twin brother), and Crow, her loved ones. She knew that Crow had already abandoned his family name, and so she decided to make him a loyalist to the Shadow Warriors, but as time passed, they developed a mutual feeling towards each other. Their relationships often drew Colin's jealousy, as Colin was obsessed with his sister. Even so, Colin said he would one day attend their wedding if they married.
Colin was not the only one who was devastated after Christine's alleged demise. Crow was devastated as well. It was the main motive that drove Crow to gain the Stone of Wisdom, as soon as he saw the stone from Carmichael Clearness (later known as Lord Helio) so that he could revive his love one and spare Colin from burden. However, Carmichael was corrupted by Ara Astaroth's influence and denied Crow's wish, taking the Stone of Wisdom away and eventually drove Crow into insanity.

Kristen with Crow Faux
More than two centuries later, Crow still lived in the world thanks to his immortality given by his power as a warlock. He later found Christine resurrected but was shocked that she murdered her brother, Colin. They secretly shared a conversation when Christine was held captive by Moloch inside Purgatory for her punishment. Crow questioned about Christine's motive and reason, and a tearful Christine told him about her darker side who drove her into fratricide. Crow felt sorry for Christine fate, and he assured her that her body was fixed by Valindra Shadowmantle to prepare for her revival, and he'll find a way to get Christine's insanity out of her again so that she would be happy and normal once again, be the former wise woman he knew. Crow viewed Christine not as a sociopath, but as a smart genius who would benefit the world.
After splitting with her insane side and start becoming Kristen, Christine still had her feelings towards Crow, but this time, she lost her faith upon Moloch. In Anti-Christ Saga, Christine decided to bring Crow to the side of Team Witness, so that they can fight against Michael Langdon, who had became the true enemy of all existence. However, this wasn't proved to be easy since Crow blamed what his sister suffered upon Ichabod, believing their marriage brought shame to the Van Tassel Family and the Sisterhood of the Radiant Heart. This was the main reason that made Crow hate Ichabod and tried to kill him in the past, only failed due to being manipulated by the Wiseman (another persona of Helio, again) as his tool.

Kristen and Crow set out for a travel across the world after Moloch's death
In the end, Crow chose to trust Christine when the latter revealed that Katrina killed Ichabod's former lover accidentally and only tried to mend it by marrying Ichabod, the one she truly loved, though like Christine, Crow still showed his own aggressive side to Ichabod and threatened to kill him if he harmed or betrayed Katrina.
In the old timeline, it was implied that Kristen didn't married Crow, who was presumably killed during the Downfall of the 0th Multi-Universe timeline. In LOTM: Los Reina de Corazónes, in spite of Kristen's full appearance, Crow didn't make an appearance at all in the storyline, but it was implied by Selina that Crow didn't end up well and was tortured to his disgraced death by Moloch due to his feelings towards Christine Van Bilj, while retaining his loyalty to Moloch which served as a pure irony. In the new timeline, however, since the Team Witness and Christine / Kristen was able to talk into Crow with the help of La Nueva Familia de Arzonia executives, who had traveled to the past.

Christine and Crow as human beings
To stop Michael's conspiracy, Crow eventually fought against Moloch and it made him to turn against Moloch as well, but he fully avoided the tragic fate of being tormented by Moloch. He later married Christine as he wished, fathered several children, and became one of the few people who earned his happy endings truly.
At the end of LOTM: Star Spangled Crown, Crow became the Queen's Consort for Christine's Golden hive and supported the Order of Flourish, an organization he once resented. When the threat STAR LABS of United States of America started to rise, Crow survived and travel across the world with Kristen, with their children at their side, in order to find their place.
William Howe[]
Zoe Corinth[]

Christine and Zoe singing together
In spite of her rivalry with Ichabod, Christine is in very well term with Zoe Corinth. She arrived to help Zoe after seeing her fell weak due to the lack of mana, giving her power to Zoe to delay the latter's physical decadence. As the two were getting along well, Christine was influenced by Zoe and became much more humorous and cheerful, even to the point of forming a band with her whenever the Witnesses threw a party.
As more she learned from Zoe, Christine found many similarities between her and Zoe. Christine discovered that Zoe had no memories of her past and was a survivor to a demonic threat, while being a husk left by a Zodiac Demon coming out from her.
It brought Christine's own memory back, reminding Christine about the days she was possessed by her inner demon, which now split out from her. Purely out of sympathy, Christine supports Zoe (as well as Calvin Cranberry and Marshall Mango, the two protector of hers) in order to keep her safe. She was also worried when the White Wizard arrived and took Zoe away, as she became concern over the White Wizard's true nature and intentions.
After finding out that Zoe was actually a semi-revived Hestia Hawthorn, who is Lord Helio's daughter, Christine felt that she and Zoe/Hestia are the same, as both were used by their respective fathers in their amoral goals. After Zoe's demise, Christine was the first who discovered Selina Strawberry and Calvin Cranberry's reasons in taking back the Stone of Wisdom. She supports their decisions and fought against Merged Phyllis Peach. After Phyllis' demise, Christine joined Helene when the latter visited her mother's grave. With La Gloton's demise, Christine firmly believed that Zoe/Hestia could finally rest in peace.
Lady Van Tassel[]

Lady Van Tassel inside Purgatory
Comparing to Lady Van Tassel, many witches who served Moloch believed that Christine would be a much better, much more trustful and much more competent leader if it's not because of her untimely death. Christine and the entire Order of Blood Moon despise Lady Van Tassel because of the latter's lack of ambition and greedy nature. Christine looked down on Lady Van Tassel, since she find her repulsive for making the Horseman of Death as her own tool instead of a warrior who would conquer the entire world.
However, Christine never considered Lady Van Tassel as a rival, as much as she regarded Ichabod as her rival, since she found Lady Van Tassel too inferior, bringing her nothing but disgust. She also expressed joy in Purgatory when she discovered that Lady Van Tassel was inside the place as well.

Lady Van Tassel with a younger Christine
On the other hand, Lady Van Tassel appreciated Christine due to the latter's value and intelligence. Lady Van Tassel firmly believed Christine was a tool to begin with, so she planned to school Christine after she made it into becoming Moloch's trusted underling, in order to make the young girl her servant. However, as the time went by, Christine no longer bore to be controlled by Lady Van Tassel, so she showed her arrogance towards the elder woman, spitefully calling her a gold digger. The resentment between the two even grew worse when Christine started to succumb under the influence from her inner darkness, who took the form of Evil Christine and represented Christine's spite. After the missing and alleged death of Caspar, the father of Christine, The feud between them came to a shuddering halt due to Christine's untimely death, and Lady Van Tassel finally got rid of Christine, a large bag of burden she had been carried.
However, due to being humiliated and defeated for several times after the Purgatory Breakout, Lady Van Tassel eventually became just another foil to Christine after the latter got rid of her evil personality and turned to the good side, much to Christine's relief. Even though the friendship between Katrina Crane and Christine grew much closer, the chasm between Christine and Lady Van Tassel never disappeared. In the final battle against Hubert Zodiak and Lady Van Tassel, Christine showed zero sympathy towards Lady Van Tassel, who was transformed into a mindless monster. She destroyed Zodiak and allowed Katrina to take down Lady Van Tassel, before returning the Headless Horseman his head and made him take Lady Van Tassel into Hell for using the Horseman as her tool, ending their feud once and for all.
Lord Helio / White Wizard[]
Bubbly Begonia[]

Christine furious at Bubbly's insult
Bubbly and Christine held grudge against each other due to their different sides and tried to kill each other during the course of Purgatory Arc. Nevertheless, Begonia is not above using violence and extremist behavior against the Shadow Warriors, even to the point of starting an extermination against them when she discovered the Hessians gathered after Christine Van Bilj was brought back to life. She also has a robot puppet as a substitute of hers in Merry Melody, used when she is on police duty as Betty Drake. Bubbly also shows a sadistic streak against Satanists and considers them not worthy to live.
However, what truly crossed Christine's line was that Bubbly had dug out of the corpse of Colin Van Bilj, who is Christine's dead twin brother that was killed by Entisrich, the Zodiac Demon born from Christine's despair and sorrow out of her father's betrayal. Using her skill of ventriloquism, Bubbly used Colin's corpse as a puppet and taunted Christine with it. When she discovered her brother's corpse was used as a puppet, Christine was furious and vowed to kill Bubbly by herself. As Christine values her brother and minions greatly, Bubbly immediately becomes the true demon in her eyes.
Even after joining the Order of Flourish later, Christine and Bubbly refused to reconcile to each other, until while facing Phyllis Peach, when Bubbly protected Christine from Phyllis' attack due to them now facing the same enemies together. Their relationship grown better throughout the years, but still they refused to call each other friends.
Phyllis Peach[]

Christine sees through Phyllis' true nature
Christine didn't met Phyllis in her lifetime, and she didn't know about Phyllis' identity as La Glonton until Calvin revealed it to everyone. However, Christine heard from Crow Faux that Phyllis was a dangerous woman, who also possessed a Zodiac Demon inside her body and used the demonic form to infiltrate the faction of the Order.
However, due to her partial amnesia after being exposed to Pandora's Box, Christine failed to even recognize Phyllis when the former become Kristen, due to that part of her memory wasn't recovered, unlike her memories of Colin. In spite of this, she had a bad feelings and warned Helio about Phyllis.
Unknown to Kristen, however, Phyllis already went one step ahead by figuring out that Lord Helio and the Wiseman are one and the same, before she used the Stone of Wisdom's secret to blackmail Helio, leading to the Wiseman's compromise and keeping Phyllis at his side, much to the annoyance of both Christine and Proxima even though they're not on the same side. In addition to that, Helio's arrogance is also a factor in Phyllis' plans, as he believed Phyllis is in his control, ignoring Christine and her warning. Since Christine didn't have all her memory recovered, she sometimes suspected that she was just paranoid.

Phyllis confronts Kristen after being exposed
After the discovery of Dark Arzonia's true origin, and the reveal of La Gloton's true identity, all the memory of Christine returned and she fully remembered Phyllis' identity as Moloch's spy. She revealed it to everyone, but it was all too late. While Helio sent a brainwashed Baccarat to capture Kristen and kill Pandora, Phyllis is already one step ahead towards her goal. However, after the crash of the Feast and the death of Helio, Kristen decided that she would return to confront Phyllis in order to fix her mistake that not being able to stop her in time.
Before she lost her memory, Christine often sees Phyllis as a petty and ordinary person, who cannot become more threat. In turn, Phyllis shows respect towards Christine and calls her "prefect" as an honorific, while modestly planning to take control of her faction in secret. During their final confrontation, the Merged Phyllis revealed that her puppet's compliance, Helio's arrogance, the ordinary citizens' ignorance, in addition to Christine's amnesia, Selina's irrational dark side, and Team Witness' inner crisis are all factors for her to exploit. Then, Phyllis revealed that she, while maintaining respect to Christine, sees her as nothing but a mere pawn for her to use, and she berated Christine for her "incompetence" and "inability" to reveal her true colors to Helio, insulting Christine by calling her a loser. By doing so, Phyllis became one of the most hated opponent on Christine's list.
Entisrich[]

Christine and Entisrich
Born from Christine's despair and horror due to her father's treachery, Entisrich is the Zodiac Demon of Christine, who took over Christine when the latter accepted the former, preventing Entisrich from devouring her soul by force but slowing changing its host's personality and judgement.
Due to being a natural Zodiac Demon, Entisrich has no redeeming quality, but she boosts the cruelty of Zodiac Demon up to eleven without any signs of empathy, much to the original Christine's horror. At first, Christine had no idea that Entisrich was a Zodiac Demon, which could only be forged through the power of Moloch, one of the Twelve Nethers, any Zodiac Demon generals or any other lesser Zodiac Demons alike.

Entistrich, after taking over Christine's body and mind via playing her despair
Comparing to her already cemented rivalry towards Ichabod, Entisrich is more like an Arch-Enemy to Christine due to taking over her body and killing Christine's only family left; Colin Van Bilj, immediately after Entisrich took over Christine when the latter was revived by Colin. In fact, Hubert Zodiak and Lady Van Tassel were responsible for everything behind Entisrich's formation all along, in order to turn Christine insane and topple her seat. Moloch knew about this truth, but he allowed Entisrich to be formed anyway, so that Christine would be a remorseless monster just like him, completely loathing the world around her and taking pains to remold it.
In spite of believing Entisrich was just her evil twin that killed her brother, Christine hardly ever anticipated that her evil counterpart's action was exactly Moloch wanted, though he believed Entisrich acted too soon and too rushed so that he temporarily make her away from Christine. The revelation of Entisrich's true nature not only shatter Christine's devotion towards Moloch, but also revealed another heinous ploy to make Christine more evolved so that Entisrich, after taking over Christine once more, would come back stronger and more dangerous.
Moloch[]

Christine before turning against Moloch
Moloch, who is the one responsible for Entisrich's possession and Colin's death as a result of the former, knew about the truth all along, but he convinced Christine that it was her fault all along to allow an "evil aspect" inside her to take over her, so that he would punish her and push her until she became his most ideal tool.
However, unaware of the fact, Christine was devoted to Moloch at first, following their family tradition, joining the Order of the Blood Moon to become Moloch's Servant, and believing he was the one who would care about her talents that could have change the world once she did things according to her own image. As a result, she was initially polite towards Moloch and used different but creative ways to expand his influence.
Nonetheless, upon the revelation of Entisrich's true identity thanks to Proxima, Christine immediately lost all of her respect towards Moloch, realizing she was yet again used as a tool and never able to live like herself. This anguish breakdown allowed Entisrich to possess Christine once more and became the souless shell of the Horseman of War, prompting Christine to betray Moloch and split Entisrich from her body once Crow Faux beat her back to senses, only at the cost of her own memory. Later, Christine was convinced by the White Wizard to join the Order of Flourish temporarily as "Kristen Kiwifruit", begrudgingly, so that she could exact her revenge against Moloch. At this point, Christine is by no means a subordinate of Moloch anymore.
Ichabod Crane[]

Christine's aggressive attitude to Ichabod
Christine is arguably one of the most important rivals to Ichabod following Abraham Van Brunt, who is the true form of Headless Horseman. Due to their family feud, Christine has a caustic rivalry with Ichabod, and this rivalry still exists even after she became Kristen. During their school time, Christine and her brother often bullied Ichabod at school, but Christine definitely did the worst of the twins, as she showed Ichabod the sad memory inside his mind in order to tease him of his loss, but it eventually made Ichabod overcome his feelings and got better.
However, after they grew up and joined the service of British Army, their rivalry seemed to tone down, but it still existed. After Ichabod's defection to the side of the Patriots, Christine believed that he had turned his back on his country and his family. She was angered at Ichabod's betrayal and attempted to let him return by giving out the name of other colonial spies, and make all of his past "crimes" water under the bridge. After Ichabod refused and escaped, Christine finally snapped and vowed to let Ichabod pay. In spite of this, it eventually became nothing but irony since the whole Van Bilj Family is under Moloch's service, not the British Empire at all. Christine later revealed that had Ichabod return back to Howe's service, she can be nicer to him, but they're destined to be rivals.

Christine showed her remorse to Ichabod
Believing Christine was nothing but an insane woman, Ichabod never liked Christine, either, as he described her to be the maddest of the entire Van Bilj Family. Even so, Ichabod didn't know about Christine's soft side, which she showed only to Crow and Colin, since she never tried to be soft to Ichabod. However, Ichabod seemed to have sympathy to Christine after finding out that it was not her original thoughts to commit fratricide or torturing Betsy, but an evil split personality inside Christine, due to her broken mind upon her father's betrayal. In spite of never forgiving Christine for what she did to Betsy, Ichabod realized that he and Christine are both having hard feelings towards their respective fathers.
After being split from Evil Christine by the power of Pandora's Box, Christine lost most of her memory and was brainwashed by Sister Mary Eunice into being an adoptive sister to Ichabod and was taken care by the Team Witness out of their sheer reluctance, since they need someone for them to confront the Hidden One and his servants. However, once her own memory returned due to being reminded by an escaped Evil Christine, her dark persona, Christine immediately snapped at Ichabod and Abbie for making her a tool for them, before breaking down in tears due to her father's exploit on her as well as being abandoned by Moloch.

Christine shed her tears for the very first time
Ichabod then realized that Christine is just a mirror to him, being suffered from someone they once respected. This sympathy fueled even stronger with Christine started to show remorse over her actions of killing Colin and even attempted to stop Colin's murder. He still cannot forgive Christine's actions towards Betsy and himself, but Ichabod later worked with Christine since she would be a great help to defeat the Hidden One. Christine also realized the error in her own ways, as she was horrified by the truth that her father was just a pawn for Moloch. Her former resentment towards her father then became resentment towards Moloch, her former master, and her dark persona that let her to kill Colin.
Filled nothing with regret, Christine then agreed to work with Team Witness, and she even made her astral into the Catatombs in an attempt to save Abbie, in spite of being enemies at first, so that the Two Witnesses would save the world from the malevolent deity. Even so, the rivalry between Christine and Ichabod still remained caustic. She still had hard feelings to Betsy Ross, but she avoided talking about her, except she said Betsy was a worthy opponent to her, since Christine knew Ichabod would never forgive her for murdering Betsy (even if Ichabod eventually blamed it on Christine's darker persona). She only tried to atone her sins and joined the Team Witness, and she remained a frenemy relationship with Ichabod.

Relieved from her anger and sadness born from worry, Christine slapped Ichabod after the latter came back to life
Even after becoming Kristen and became much softer, Christine still showed rivalry to Ichabod. After the demise of Pedro Pineapple, Christine met Ichabod once again as Kristen, and she challenged him to fight each other one day after everything is over, fair and square, so that Ichabod could prove his strength and worth.
After the end of Anti-Christ Saga, Christine began to feel sad about Ichabod's death. Even after a year, she was still not recovered from her melancholy. It was revealed by Crow Faux that Christine finally acknowledged Ichabod as a worthy opponent after he slayed Michael Langdon, but she never had a chance to talk to him.
Losing her most bitter rival of her own life, Christine felt her life turned meaningless, and she lived like a recluse and mourned her greatest rival. Even so, when she was invited to talk about the life of Ichabod on a TV show, Christine refused since she didn't want to speak ill of the dead at the producer's behest. She admitted Ichabod is the wisest man she had ever known, they worked together in supernatural cases, and their life intersected. Christine's melancholy eventually changed after Ichabod was brought back from the dead. Christine was angry and tearful that her most caustic rival returned back, but it was born from worry. She was in fact overjoyed by his revival and said her own talent would be meaningless if there was no rivals to make it progress.
Christine always viewed Ichabod as a rival to her, but her attitude changed. She first showed disdain to Ichabod, but later she respected him and his choice to choose humanity over his own goods, something she didn't achieve when she was younger.

Christine and Abbie argued
Since they started as enemies, Christine and Abbie are not in well terms. Christine often sees Abbie as nothing but a normal person, and Abbie despises Christine and never forgives what she did to Betsy Ross. Even after Christine returned as Kristen, Abbie still hates her and calls her "scum" and "bitch" to insult Christine, agitating the latter. Keeping her cool, in spite of this, Christine threatened Abbie to warn Ichabod, saying to make him beware that she has returned and would restart their rivalry which started when they were children.
However, their relationship became better during their confrontation against Blaze Banana, when Christine had willingly protected Abbie and Jenny from Blaze, giving the sisters chances to storm into Blaze's office and exposed his involvement with La Gloton (though the killer's identity wasn't found at the time), as well as his crime of crippling Macey Irving and framing the drunk driver Gil Everett for the crime. Trying to hide her true thoughts, Christine later said she did this for her own job in stopping Blaze, and she claimed she had no affection or friendship towards Abbie, whom she sees as "one of those worker bees". Abbie also stated that she won't befriend an insane murderer and megalomaniac, either.
However, Christine later admitted to Abbie that she's jealous of her, being respected by many and acted with her free will, saying if she was as free as Abbie, she wouldn't have done so many horrible things. Christine also apologized for what she did during Blood Moon Sub Arc, even if Abbie already knew it was not completely Christine's fault, but her inner darkness.

- Kristen / Christine: I can only see you for five minutes... before I'm going to leave... but I can't let you go, brother! (hugged Colin and cried) I'm so sorry, Colin! You awakened me, but I killed you... I'm not a good sister...
- Colin: I don't blame you, Christine. It was not you. It was that monster feeding itself with your mind, but fortunately, it was separated from you forever.
- Kristen / Christine: As you probably know, Crane saved me... We were so wrong about him. Without him, I can never realize just how terrible I was, and now I shall atone my mistakes. How I miss you so much, Colin. I wish I can make everything back to normal...
- Colin: No need to cry for past, Christine. As long as you live happily, my soul will rest in peace.
- Kristen / Christine: I promise... One day, I'll face myself... and then we'll all be free.
- Colin: I trust you, sister. You can do this...
As Kristen[]
- "I don't know what I ever saw in that woman who claimed to be 'another me'. When she was gone, I became the real 'myself' I was destined to be... A hero!"
- "I am sorry, Colin... This is my apology. I hope one day I shall meet you in afterlife and we shall play our game together. I murdered you... and now I avenged your death. That is not a paradox. Now, my dear brother, please rest in peace... Love and Always... Christine."
- "This is not you, Selina! You are not like this! You must learn to see the truth behind the Light Lord, and you must face him! You can beat me, punish me, use me, call me as the original Christine you despise, but I will never ever allow you to make a stupid move! You gave me a home when I was homeless! You gave me friends when I was lonely! What is more, you remind me as a human when I was a monster!"
- "I still can't believe it. Me. Bringing down Phyllis Peach. Who knew? Still, Crane surprised me, offering me a job in the Order of Flourish. Not totally sure that he went mad, but who says "no" to him?"
- "You know, being good feels good, but every now and again, every once in a while, I get this irresistible urge to kill someone... Hopefully, being good will be one long term."
- "If you don't want to be a Mage, then I won't push. You're free to choose your free spirit, Baccarat. I wish you be happy forever."
- "I know why we are different, Crane. You did everything trying to save others... but I did everything only to serve myself..."
- "Crane, I know an apology will not let you forgive me, but I am not the unforgivable one. She is. I will end her life by my own hand, and I will atone what I did. Moloch shall not rise."
- "No matter who gave me this power... those power should be used in the way I want! If I can save anyone and fix all those evil atrocities that 'another me' caused, if I can use my power to help others, I will join the fight for the good ending as hard as I can!"
- "Let's go... and we will end all of this. Phyllis Peach must be stopped."
- "I'm sorry for what I have done to trouble you. Thanks for your concern. I'm feeling much better now."
- "Even though you gave me a false memory, the Witnesses, you make me a renewed soul."
- - Kristen: You'll miss me, Crane.
- - Ichabod: Sadly... Yes.

You couldn't have failed to notice the overpowering aroma of herring pickled in vodka, in tandem with a truly unfortunate body odor. There's a man concealed in the rafters above us: a Cossack - renowned for their infeasible acrobatic abilities, and are notorious for moonlighting as assassins. So it's safe to presume that your next client is here to kill you."

This is obviously sticking together! Partners in war crimes against us! In this script, Romeo and Juliet are Italians, and they died together. Isn't that a severe blow on our enemies? Therefore, why can't the audience take a look that our enemies suffered a severe blow? For example, in this play, Hitler choked to death when he was eating steamed buns. Isn't it great?
- - Selina: Hmm... is there steamed buns in Germany? How is that possible when Hitler ate steam buns? Is there anyone who dared to make steamed buns for Hitler?
- - Kristen: As long as he choked to death, nothing else matters.

Trivia[]
Beekeeping, tacuinum sanitatis casanatensis (14th century)
- Christine / Kristen is considered as the most recurring human rival to Ichabod, since they met and compete against each otehr in childhood, and they later became sworn enemies after Ichabod turned against British Army and joined the side of Patroits. Even after Christine joined Team Witness, the rival still remains but is much less hostile.
- Among the scientist characters in the overall LOTM: WoSH storyline, Christine / Kristen is the only expert entomologist (people who studied insects) appeared in the story.
- Overall, Christine / Kristen's behavior and status often match with those of bees, especially a queen bee, like her high-level authority, her fond of sweetness and flowers, her minions' undying loyalty, her need for a society like a hive, as well as her hostile attitude to any rival of hers.
- The inspiration of Christine's characteristics as well as her own view of society comes from the popularity of bees in Victorian England, where people believed the most idealistic social hierarchy for humans would be inspired by that of bees.
- The "beehive society" belief of Christine was inspired by eusociality (from Greek εὖ eu "good" and social), which is the highest level of organization of animal sociality, and it's defined by the following characteristics: cooperative brood care (including care of offspring from other individuals), overlapping generations within a colony of adults, and a division of labor into reproductive and non-reproductive groups. The division of labor creates specialized behavioral groups within an animal society which are sometimes called castes. Eusociality is distinguished from all other social systems because individuals of at least one caste usually lose the ability to perform at least one behavior characteristic of individuals in another caste.
- With the exception of Efreet Feuer, Christine / Kristen (alongside her evil counterpart) cheats death more than anyone else in the whole LOTM: WoSH storyline, and even Kristen herself often lampshaded that only perhaps an overkill will bring down a person in Sleepy Hollow for good.
- This Kristen Kiwifruit is later revealed to be the real Christine Van Bilj. After the split, the former "Christine" was later adressed as "Evil Christine".
- The idea of Lapis Lazuli persona for Christine was later improvised and didn't exist in the second half of Moloch's Reborn timeline. Since the second half of Moloch's Reborn timeline was prevented in the Rise of Qliphoth era despite Kristen's survival, the Lapis persona as well as Kristen's Kaysie Crystal power won't be expected to make an appearance in LOTM: Los Reina de Corazónes at all.
- Kristen Kiwifruit is like a what-if scenario of the original Christine. If Christine was not that cruel, never murdered her brother, Colin, she would actually mourn him and cradled him inside her arm (will be shown in a non-canon side story scenario). Due to her actions of mourning her evil counterpart's brother as if he was her brother, Kristen represents the only redemption quality that her evil counterpart abandoned.
- In the original draft, Kristen only serves as a puppet inserted with a false memory but later turned into a true hero after accepting the truth and putting her past behind. The later concept added more in her interior nature, including her representation of Christine's caring personality prior to going insane.
- Although her name and signature had changed into Kristen, Ichabod still calls her Christine due to his old habit, and she does not mind it at all.
- Kristen is the first member of Team Witness who starts as a true enemy towards them, but she later proves her change of heart with her heroic actions, her atonement and tragic past.
- After joining the Order of Flourish, Kristen kept her theme color - red, white and blue - instead of changing her cloth into green to match the color of green kiwifruit. However, her blond hair matched with the golden kiwifruit.
- She chose "Kiwifruit" as her codename to achieve an alliterative code name with her name, Kristen, which started with the letter "K".
- Christine Van Bilj was the first villain in the Witnesses of Sleepy Hollow storyline to become a temporary hero due to angelic brainwashing during her memory loss, which spawn the birth of Kristen Van Tassel, a benevolent being with no cruelty of the evil Christine inside her. However, despite being two perosnonalities of one person, Kristen and Evil Christine are NOT the same person at all.
- The relations between these two counterparts could be compared to that between Eckidina KnightWalker and Echidna StinWalker.
- Kristen is the first character who uses Glycopoeia as one of her major abilities.
- The candy sculpture Kristen used in her power technique was inspired by the art of sugar sculpture, mostly inspired by the art of sugar people (Chinese: 糖人). This traditional Chinese folk art form uses heated, liquid sugar to create three dimensional, often blown figures.
- Japan has the similar tradition, which is called "Amezaiku (kanji: 飴細工)". The sugar people's candy in China are brownish-yellow, while the ones in Japan are white because they use "sarashi-ame (whitish candy)," which is made by pulling and stretching out the sugar many times until white.
- Selina's fear of Christine's everlasting childbirth returning had eventually became true in LOTM: Los Reina de Corazónes, when Kristen was traumatized by Ara's action of killing her children right in front of her. Kristen eventually snapped, allowing Christine's insane self to resurface again since it went quiet after Moloch's defeat. In a fit of insanity, Christine broke her caring mother side, denied her Kristen personality, defied Selina's pleadge for her not to do this and angrily forced Crow Faux to impregnant her in the fourth and final time (heavily implied to be multiple times of sexual intercourse in just one round), in order to spite Ara Astaroth for killing her family.
- Even worse, in a desperation to create a horde of her powerful successors for Future Maria, a VERY HEAVILY pregnant Kristen fed herself with a special elixir (made from Selina's blood that can make creatures grow) which fasten her children's aging and birth, eventually gave birth to the Van Bilj Mutants and resulted in her imminent death in Astaroth Future.
- This had even disgusted and horrified Future Maria, whilst Katya (who was unfazed) stated that it was not surprised for her as this was the most realistic consequences for Kristen's baby-making frenzy gone wild.
- In the main story's timeline, Kristen only got pregnant for the fourth time after the deaths of Diabla and the Fallen's Essence, of which Kristen conceived her children with her sense fully functioning in a normal way (since her death in the family never happened). She gave birth to ten more children months later, with all of these newborns being normal humanoid rather than insectoid mutants. Her dark side of insanity never resurfaced again.

Elizabeth Báthory[]

Elizabeth Báthory, Hungarian form Báthory Erzsébet, (born August 7, 1560, Nyírbátor, Hungary—found dead August 21, 1614, Castle C̆achtice, C̆achtice, Hungary [now in Slovakia]), Hungarian countess who purportedly tortured and murdered hundreds of young women in the 16th and 17th centuries.
Báthory was born into prominent Protestant nobility in Hungary. Her family controlled Transylvania, and her uncle, Stephen Báthory, was king of Poland. She was raised at the family castle in Ecséd, Hungary. In 1575 she married Count Ferencz Nádasdy, a member of another powerful Hungarian family, and subsequently moved to Castle C̆achtice, a wedding gift from the Nádasdy family. From 1585 to 1595, Báthory bore four children.
After Nádasdy’s death in 1604, rumours of Báthory’s cruelty began to surface. Though previous accounts of the murder of peasant women had apparently been ignored, the claims in 1609 that she had slain women from noble families attracted attention. Her cousin, György Thurzó, count palatine of Hungary, was ordered by Matthias, then king of Hungary, to investigate. The count palatine determined, after taking depositions from people living in the area surrounding her estate, that Báthory had tortured and killed more than 600 girls with the assistance of her servants. On December 30, 1609, Báthory and her servants were arrested. The servants were put on trial in 1611, and three were executed. Although never tried, Báthory was confined to her chambers at Castle C̆achtice. She remained there until she died.
While documents from Báthory’s trial supported the accusations made against her, modern scholarship has questioned the veracity of the allegations. Báthory was a powerful woman, made more so by her control of Nádasdy’s holdings after his death. The fact that a large debt owed by Matthias to Báthory was canceled by her family in exchange for permitting them to manage her captivity suggests that the acts attributed to her were politically motivated slander that allowed relatives to appropriate her lands.
Marie Antoinette[]

Marie-Antoinette-Josèphe-Jeanne d'Autriche-Lorraine (/ˌæntwəˈnɛt, ˌɒ̃twə-/;[1] French: [maʁi ɑ̃twanɛt]; born Maria Antonia Josepha Johanna; 2 November 1755 – 16 October 1793) was the last Queen of France before the French Revolution. She was born an Archduchess of Austria, and was the penultimate child of Empress Maria Theresa and Francis I, Holy Roman Emperor.
In April 1770, upon her marriage to Louis-Auguste, heir apparent to the French throne, she became Dauphine of France. On 10 May 1774, when her husband ascended the throne as Louis XVI, she assumed the title Queen of France and Navarre, which she held until September 1791, when, as the French Revolution proceeded, she became Queen of the French, a title she held until 21 September 1792.
After eight years of marriage, Marie Antoinette gave birth to a daughter, Marie Thérèse of France, the first of her four children. Despite her initial popularity, a growing number of the population eventually came to dislike her, accusing her of being profligate, promiscuous, and of harbouring sympathies for France's enemies, particularly her native Austria. The Affair of the Diamond Necklace damaged her reputation further. During the Revolution, she became known as Madame Déficit because the country's financial crisis was blamed on her lavish spending and her opposition to the social and financial reforms of Turgot and Necker.
During the Revolution, after the government had placed the royal family under house arrest in the Tuileries Palace in October 1789, several events linked to Marie Antoinette, in particular the June 1791 attempted flight to Varennes and her role in the War of the First Coalition, had disastrous effects on French popular opinion. On 10 August 1792, the attack on the Tuileries forced the royal family to take refuge at the Assembly, and on 13 August the family was imprisoned in the Temple. On 21 September 1792, the monarchy was abolished. After a two-day trial began on 14 October 1793, Marie Antoinette was convicted by the Revolutionary Tribunal of high treason and executed by guillotine on the Place de la Révolution on 16 October 1793.
Lucrezia Borgia[]

Lucrezia Borgia (Italian pronunciation: [luˈkrɛttsja ˈbɔrdʒa]; Valencian: Lucrècia Borja [luˈkrɛsia ˈbɔɾdʒa]; 18 April 1480 – 24 June 1519) was the daughter of Pope Alexander VI and Vannozza dei Cattanei. Her brothers included Cesare Borgia, Giovanni Borgia, and Gioffre Borgia.
Her family arranged several marriages for her that advanced their own political position including Giovanni Sforza (Lord of Pesaro), Alfonso of Aragon (Duke of Bisceglie), and Alfonso I d'Este (Duke of Ferrara). Tradition has it that Alfonso of Aragon was an illegitimate son of the King of Naples and that her brother Cesare may have had him murdered after his political value waned.
Rumors about her and her family cast Lucrezia as a femme fatale, a role in which she has been portrayed in many artworks, novels and films.
Jean-Paul Marat[]

The Death of Marat by Jacques-Louis David (1793)
Jean-Paul Marat (French: [ʒɑ̃pɔl maʁa]; 24 May 1743 – 13 July 1793) was a French political theorist, physician, and scientist who became best known for his role as a radical journalist and politician during the French Revolution. His journalism became renowned for its fierce tone, uncompromising stance towards the new leaders and institutions of the revolution, and advocacy of basic human rights for the poorest members of society, yet calling for prisoners of the Revolution to be killed before they could be freed in what became known as the September Massacres. He was one of the most radical voices of the French Revolution. He became a vigorous defender of the sans-culottes, publishing his views in pamphlets, placards and newspapers, notably his periodical L'Ami du peuple (Friend of the People), which helped make him their unofficial link with the radical, republican Jacobin group that came to power after June 1793.
Marat was assassinated by Charlotte Corday, a Girondin sympathizer, while taking a medicinal bath for his debilitating skin condition. In death, Marat became an icon to the Jacobins as a revolutionary martyr, as portrayed in Jacques-Louis David's famous painting, The Death of Marat. For this assassination, Corday was executed four days later, on 17 July 1793.
Norman Bethune[]

Henry Norman Bethune /ˈbɛθˌjuːn/ (March 4, 1890 – November 12, 1939; Chinese: 白求恩; pinyin: Bái Qiú'ēn) was a Canadian physician, medical innovator, and noted communist. Bethune came to international prominence first for his service as a frontline surgeon supporting the democratically elected Republican government during the Spanish Civil War. But it was his service with the Communist Eighth Route Army during the Second Sino-Japanese War that would earn him enduring acclaim. Dr. Bethune effectively brought modern medicine to rural China and often treated sick villagers as much as wounded soldiers. His selfless commitment made a profound impression on the Chinese people, especially CPC's leader, Mao Zedong. Mao Zedong wrote a eulogy to him, which was memorized by generations of Chinese people.
While Bethune was the man responsible for developing a mobile blood-transfusion service for frontline operations in the Spanish Civil War, he himself died of blood poisoning.
A prominent Communist and veteran of the First World War, he wrote that wars were motivated by profits, not principles. Statues in his honor can be found in cities throughout China.
Henning von Tresckow[]

Hermann Henning Karl Robert von Tresckow (10 January 1901 – 21 July 1944) was an officer in the German Army who helped organize German resistance against Adolf Hitler. He attempted to assassinate Hitler on 13 March 1943 and drafted the Valkyrie plan for a coup against the German government. He was described by the Gestapo as the "prime mover" and the "evil spirit" behind the plot of 20 July 1944 to assassinate Hitler. He committed suicide at Królowy Most on the Eastern Front upon the plot's failure.
Yukio Hatoyama[]

Yukio Hatoyama (鳩山 由紀夫 Hatoyama Yukio, born 11 February 1947) is a former Japanese politician who served as Prime Minister of Japan from 16 September 2009 to 2 June 2010. He was the first Prime Minister from the modern Democratic Party of Japan.
First elected to the House of Representatives in 1986, Hatoyama became President of the DPJ, the main opposition party, in May 2009. He then led the party to victory in the August 2009 general election, defeating the long-governing Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), who had been in power for over a decade. He represented the Hokkaido 9th district in the House of Representatives from 1986 to 2012.
After stepping down as prime minister Hatoyama continued to serve as a DPJ diet member. When Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda introduced legislation to raise the consumption tax from 5% to 10% Hatoyama was one of 57 DPJ lower house lawmakers who voted against the bill. His membership in the DPJ was suspended for six months, subsequently reduced to three.
Unlike some of the consumption tax rebels, Hatoyama did not leave the DPJ to join Ichiro Ozawa's People's Life First party, but continued to act within the DPJ to oppose both the consumption tax increase and the restart of nuclear plants. On 20 July 2012 he addressed a crowd of protesters outside the prime minister's residence, saying it was premature to restart nuclear reactors. In the lead-up to the 16 December 2012 general election the DPJ announced that it would not endorse candidates who did not agree to follow its current policies, including the consumption tax hike and support for joining the negotiations to enter the Trans-Pacific Partnership. On 21 November Hatoyama announced that he would retire from politics. Hatoyama was later expelled from the party.
On 9 January 2013, Hatoyama issued a formal apology to the victims of Japanese war crimes in China during a visit to Nanjing. He also urged the Japanese government to acknowledge the dispute between the two countries concerning sovereignty of the Diaoyu/Senkaku Islands.
Florence Nightingale[]

Florence Nightingale, OM, RRC, DStJ (/ˈflɒrəns ˈnaɪtɪŋɡeɪl/; 12 May 1820 – 13 August 1910) was an English social reformer and statistician, and the founder of modern nursing. She is one of the most famous people from the Victorian era.
Nightingale came to prominence while serving as a manager of nurses trained by her during the Crimean War, where she organised the tending to wounded soldiers. She gave nursing a highly favourable reputation and became an icon of Victorian culture, especially in the persona of "The Lady with the Lamp" making rounds of wounded soldiers at night.
While recent commentators have asserted Nightingale's achievements in the Crimean War were exaggerated by the media at the time, critics agree on the decisive importance of her follow-up achievements in professionalising nursing roles for women. In 1860, Nightingale laid the foundation of professional nursing with the establishment of her nursing school at St Thomas' Hospital in London. It was the first secular nursing school in the world, now part of King's College London. In recognition of her pioneering work in nursing, the Nightingale Pledge taken by new nurses, and the Florence Nightingale Medal, the highest international distinction a nurse can achieve, were named in her honour, and the annual International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world on her birthday. Her social reforms include improving healthcare for all sections of British society, advocating better hunger relief in India, helping to abolish prostitution laws that were over-harsh to women, and expanding the acceptable forms of female participation in the workforce.
Nightingale was a prodigious and versatile writer. In her lifetime, much of her published work was concerned with spreading medical knowledge. Some of her tracts were written in simple English so that they could easily be understood by those with poor literary skills. She was also a pioneer of the graphical presentation of statistical data. Much of her writing, including her extensive work on religion and mysticism, has only been published posthumously.
Fictional Inspirations - Christine Van Bilj[]
Alexia Ashford (Code: Veronica)[]

Alexia Ashford is a member of the Ashford family and the creator of the T-Veronica Virus, as well as the main antagonist of Resident Evil Code: Veronica X. The adopted daughter of Dr. Alexander Ashford, 6th Earl Ashford, her real parentage was the result of a cloning experiment referred to as Project CODE:Veronica, and was biologically the daughter of Veronica Ashford, 1st Countess Ashford. Through her grandfather, Dr. Edward Ashford, 5th Earl Ashford, she was able to gain a position as a virologist within Umbrella Pharmaceuticals, an enterprise he co-founded.
Alexia and her brother Alfred, the future 7th Earl Ashford were born around 1971 to an unnamed surrogate mother as part of Project CODE:Veronica. The project, led by Dr. Alexander Ashford, involved obtaining DNA from the embalmed body of his ancestor, Veronica and creating a genetically-modified clone. The purpose of it was a vanity project intent on restoring the family's reputation with a child comparable to Veronica, who's intelligence was renowned, and prevent Lord Oswell E. Spencer from taking full control over the corporation should Dr. Edward Ashford die. Whereas Alexia's genius intellect fulfilled all of Dr. Ashford's expectations, the higher-than-average Alfred did not compare, perhaps due to having been the result of a freak error during the cloning process intended solely to create Alexia. Nonetheless, both were raised by Dr. Ashford at his home under the Antarctic Base.
At the age of 10, Alexia graduated from a university in England and was employed by Umbrella Pharmaceuticals as one of its virologists. Isolated from other scholars by her young age, and from children by her intellect, Alexia's only comfort was her brother Alfred, having already developed a loathing of her father as another member of the "ignorant masses".
In February 1983, some time around her twelfth birthday, her brother Alfred told her about a secret room in the Antarctic Base, at which she was working at the time, and told her he needed her family gemstone, a large ruby inside a silver choker, to open it. Offering it to him, she aided him in opening the secret corridor. Once inside, the twins learned the complete truth about their creation, and both grew immensely hateful of their father.
Capturing him in March 1983, they used him as a test subject for the t-Veronica virus that she had created by binding together the Progenitor Virus and the remnants of an ancient virus found within a queen ant. The experiment turned Alexander into the insane monster known only as Nosferatu.
Taking notes on her father's progress, Alexia discovered certain flaws in her virus, and planned to inject herself with the virus to become a superior being. Using the data she had obtained from her father, Alexia discovered a way to harness the full power of her virus: by having herself put into cryogenic suspension for fifteen years while the virus, slowed by the ultra-low temperatures to a point where it would not destroy her tissues through overly rapid mutation, matured within her unconscious body. In December 1983, she assigned Alfred to protect her and carry out her will while she was inactive, and proceeded to enter the cryostatic state.
Sephiroth[]

Sephiroth is the main antagonist of Final Fantasy VII, and one of the major antagonists in its extended universe. Before his fall from grace, Sephiroth was one of the most lauded success stories of the Shinra Electric Power Company's SOLDIER program. A great warrior idolized by the public and infantrymen alike for his strength and discipline in combat, Sephiroth's many successes in the field of battle during the conflicts surrounding the Shinra Electric Power Company's bid for global domination led to his status as a celebrity war hero and the poster boy for both the Shinra Military and the company's SOLDIER program.
Prior to his madness, as shown in Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-, Sephiroth maintains an outwardly professional demeanor during his time at Shinra. While his cold exterior and professional attitude turn people away, he is not anti-social, as he values his friendship with his only friends Angeal Hewley and Genesis Rhapsodos, and willingly tells Zack and Tifa about Mako and Materia on Mt. Nibel. At times, Sephiroth acts more humane and caring than his reputation would suggest, disobeying orders due to conflict of interest if it would impact his friends, and offering his blood for a transfusion to help Genesis when he was injured.
Sephiroth is intelligent and respects those he deems worthy—he considers Professor Gast Faremis a great scientist, but scorns Professor Hojo. Well-spoken and graceful, Sephiroth is calm, collected, and in control, and he has a dry sense of humor. Rarely, he can be frustrated and caught off-guard. As the strongest SOLDIER alive, Sephiroth is confident to the point of arrogance. Despite this, he has no interest in personal fame or glory, as he tells Genesis, who envies Sephiroth's reputation as a hero, that he can have it.
Following his fall into insanity, Sephiroth retains most of his personality traits, but becomes murderous, ruthless, and vengeful. He develops a messiah complex, proclaiming he is "the chosen one" destined to lead the Planet. He becomes sadistic, as he enjoys mentally torturing Cloud. Sephiroth is devoted to Jenova and its cause, even though its body serves as little more than his avatar. It is also stated he is now an agent carrying out Jenova's will.
In spin-off appearances, Sephiroth is depicted as Cloud Strife's archenemy, and is seen as a symbol of Cloud's troubled past that haunts his life.
Walter Sullivan[]

Walter Sullivan is the main antagonist of Silent Hill 4: The Room. He is an infamous serial killer, killing at least nineteen people (including two children); and a religious fanatic, courtesy of the Order's beliefs being imposed upon him as a child, attempting to fulfill a macabre ritual called the 21 Sacraments. He was on a mission to cleanse the world of its sins.
As a young boy, Walter considered the apartment room he was born in to be his mother. However, his real mother and father abandoned him at birth. The Otherworld explored throughout the game was created by Walter, as well as the monsters which inhabit it, and it symbolizes his past, fears and views of society.
Throughout his childhood, Walter was placed under the strict teachings of the Order. Because the cult adopted him, Walter holds the cult in high regards and strongly believes in its teachings. Walter shares many similarities to Claudia Wolf. Walter feels that humanity and society is evil, corrupt, despicable, and full of suffering. He is a firm believer in Paradise, a new world untainted by human evil, pain and suffering.
Walter's fear, hatred, disgust, contempt, disdain, and animosity towards humanity and the world seems to manifest itself into monsters such as the Gum Heads (hatred of men) and Patients (hatred of women), and his Otherworld is filled with macabre and disfigured human-like dolls and corpses.
Walter believed he needed to purify humanity's sins so that a new world could come into being by killing people. It can also be speculated that another reason Walter was willing to murder his victims was for the "greater good"; 21 sacrifices would be nothing compared to humanity's overpopulated billions that would be "saved" in return.
Walter's life was devoid of any real love and kindness. When Eileen Galvin gave him her doll when he was homeless and sleeping on the cold streets, Walter cried sorrowfully (or perhaps he was so grateful that he was crying in joy) because such an act from society was rare; Walter views the majority of society and humanity as cruel, corrupt, greedy, and bitter. This is understandable considering how, for the most part, he was abandoned and rejected by society. Despite this, he held a calm and shy demeanor. . As a child, Walter unquestioningly accepted what the adults in his life taught him, and thus, believed what Dahlia Gillespie told him: his mother was asleep in Ashfield. Walter holds a strong desire to be reunited with his mother, whom he never knew. In Walter's flashbacks, it is shown that Walter's father was abusive to both him and his mother. It can be speculated that Walter hates his father for this reason, indicated by a scribbled drawing, and sees his mother as a sort of "prisoner" to his father. This desire is so strong that Walter is willing to murder 21 people in order to rebirth God, unleash Paradise, and be reunited with his mother.
Despite him being a serial killer, Walter speaks to Henry Townshend in a surprisingly calm and non-threatening manner. Even though he chases Henry and Eileen, attempting to murder them both, he does not hold any hatred and resentment towards them. Walter views Henry and Eileen not as enemies, but simply as two more sacrifices needed to complete the 21 Sacraments ritual, showing an odd empathy-lacking attitude towards killing. He also seems to be unable to view his victims as anything beyond their roles as his sacrifices, perhaps showing a minor case of narcissism.
Eurus Holmes[]

Eurus Holmes is the main antagonist of the fourth series of the BBC Series Sherlock. She is the younger sister of Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes who was completely unknown until her reveal in "The Lying Detective". She is the person behind Jim Moriarty's "Did You Miss Me?" propaganda.
Eurus is Sherlock and Mycroft's "secret" sister. Eurus is indirectly referred to in "His Last Vow"; when discussing Sherlock, Mycroft declares "I am not given to outbursts of brotherly compassion. You know what happened to the other one". She first appears in disguise in "The Six Thatchers" as a potential romantic interest for Watson, and then in two alternate disguises; Watson's therapist and Faith Smith in "The Lying Detective". She reveals her true identity in the conclusion of the episode, shooting Watson with a tranquilliser dart.
In "The Final Problem", Mycroft explains that Eurus was the youngest child, possessing a transcendent intellect greater than that of Isaac Newton. However, she was twisted by her inability to comprehend human feeling, once slicing at her arm to see the function of her own muscles and having to ask the meaning of pain. After a traumatic experience where she was involved in the death of Sherlock's childhood best friend (with Sherlock reinventing his friend as the dog "Redbeard" to lessen the emotional pain) and later burning down the Holmes family estate, she was taken away, with Sherlock then repressing any memory of her well into adulthood.
Later in life, on Mycroft's recommendation, she was transferred to Sherrinford, a maximum security psychiatric facility located on an island. Her death was also faked, with her parents being informed she had perished after starting another fire whilst incarcerated. Despite her incarceration, Eurus was occasionally consulted for her insight into potential threats, deducing the last three major attempted terrorist attacks on Britain after an hour on Twitter, in exchange for 'favours', which included five minutes of unsupervised conversation with Jim Moriarty. Having taken subtle control of the Sherrinford staff through her skills in manipulation, Eurus traps Sherlock, John and Mycroft in a game which culminates in her ordering Sherlock to shoot either John or Mycroft, only to tranquilise the three of them when Sherlock threatens to shoot himself instead.
At the conclusion, with John trapped in the well where a young Eurus drowned Sherlock's childhood friend, Sherlock deduces that a childish song she gave as the only 'clue' to what she had done was actually a code. The code leads him to her childhood room in the abandoned Holmes estate, allowing Sherlock to save Watson by making a genuinely emotional appeal to Eurus, finally providing her with the brotherly love she never received as a child. She is returned to incarceration, although she and Sherlock are able to communicate through playing the violin.
Darth Maul[]

Maul was a Dathomirian Zabrak male who lived during the waning days of the Galactic Republic and the reign of the Galactic Empire. The son of Mother Talzin of the Nightsisters, he was taken as the Sith apprentice of Darth Sidious, the Dark Lord of the Sith, and given the name Darth Maul. After revealing the existence of the Sith to the Jedi Order, Maul supposedly fell in a lightsaber duel against Obi-Wan Kenobi during the Battle of Naboo. Over a decade later, he returned from exile and formed the criminal army known as the Shadow Collective, intent on reclaiming the power he had lost. His quest for revenge against Kenobi and the Sith continued into the Imperial age, bringing him into conflict with the early rebellion against the Empire.
As a Sith Lord, Maul believed it was his destiny to rule the galaxy and bring about the end of the Jedi and the Republic. After the Battle of Naboo, that destiny was taken by Count Dooku, a former Jedi Master who became Sidious' new apprentice. The Sith's war to destroy the Republic began without Maul, as the Clone Wars raged across the galaxy, but Maul returned during the conflict and brought the Shadow Collective together to destroy his enemies and regain what he had lost. He led the takeover of the planet Mandalore with the help of his allies, the Mandalorian splinter group Death Watch, and killed Duchess Satine Kryze as part of his revenge against Kenobi, as she was an old friend and romantic interest of the venerable Jedi Master. Maul was captured and imprisoned by Sidious soon thereafter, who used his former apprentice as part of a plot to eliminate Mother Talzin, whom Sidious considered a threat to his future rule of the galaxy.
Sidious succeeded in destroying the Jedi at the end of the war, and he transformed the Republic into the Galactic Empire and proclaimed himself Emperor. During the Empire's reign, Maul dwelled on the ancient Sith world of Malachor after his ship crash-landed there in the hopes of unlocking the superweapon at the heart of the Sith temple. It was his hope that he could use the temple to destroy Sidious and his apprentice, Darth Vader—whom Maul viewed as the embodiment of everything he could have been. Maul's plan was thwarted by two Jedi, Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger, the latter of whom Maul hoped to corrupt as his own apprentice.
Later, Maul kidnapped Kanan and Ezra's rebel comrades. He also obtained Ezra's Sith holocron and Kanan Jarrus' holocron through which he learnt that his nemesis Obi-Wan Kenobi was still alive. Maul's efforts to recruit Ezra as his apprentice failed when the young man refused to abandon his friends following a skirmish on Dathomir. Seeking to find hope and purpose, Maul sought out Kenobi on the desert planet of Tatooine. Following a duel, Maul was ultimately killed by Kenobi; ending his quest for vengeance, and finding a sense of peace in the knowledge that the end of the Sith was at hand.
Dark Faust[]

Dark Faust (ダークファウスト Dāku Fausuto?) is a major in Ultraman Nexus. She was the first of the evil Ultramen created by Dark Zagi to battle Ultraman Nexus. Years ago Nosferu, Dark Mephisto's pet, killed the Saida family including Riko Saida. Mephisto had his loyal agent Dark Faust possess Riko to hide from Ultraman Nexus.
Despite the masculine voice, and appearance, Faust is confirmed to be a female Ultra in the magazines. Furthermore, she was never called by full name, only referred to as Faust (ファウスト Fausuto?) by Himeya and the Night Raiders, including herself.
Faust's human guise is Riko Saida, Komon's kind-hearted artist girlfriend. It was later revealed that she had actually died on the day she met Komon, when her family was attacked by the Space Beast Nosferu. Mizorogi arrived on the scene, aiming his weapon at Nosferu, but turned around and shot her instead. She was resurrected to become a pawn of the darkness, unwittingly serving as the human form for Dark Faust, Nexus' first enemy. However, in the end, Riko's consciousness won out during a battle with Nosferu where Komon became trapped in the Meta Field, and she shielded him with her body against an attack. The revelation that Riko was Faust and her death shocked Komon considerably, and he took a long time to recover.
Marik Ishtar[]

Marik Ishtar is the main antagonist of the Battle City story arc in Yu-Gi-Oh!. He is a former tombkeeper and the leader of the Ghouls (also known as Rare Hunters). He owns the Millennium Rod, allowing him to take control of anyone, sometimes to the extent of speaking through them. In the overall story of the Battle City arc, Marik serves as the main antagonist but later, his alter ego took over and replaced him as the main antagonist.
The heir to a clan of tombkeepers and the younger brother of Ishizu Ishtar. Marik's hatred of the nameless Pharaoh compels him to disregard his duties and turn to a life of crime, as well as developing a split personality, during his childhood after he underwent the tombkeeper's initiation ritual (which burned a key to the Pharaoh's memory on his back with a hot dagger) and was forever destined for a confined life in the darkness apart from the rest of the world. After breaking one of the laws of their clan, his dark personality emerged and brutally murdered his father (sent him to the Shadow Realm in the English anime); however his adoptive older brother Rishid (known as Odion in the English version of the anime adaptation) managed to seal his dark side away, leaving him with no memory of his actions. He believed that the Pharaoh had his father murdered and became obsessed with killing the Pharaoh to avenge his father and put an end to the suffering of his clan, never knowing about the murder or his other personality. To this end, he created the rare hunters, a gang of thieves who stole and collected rare Duel Monsters cards, and used his millennium item, the Millennium Rod, to manipulate people. Although he was originally innocent and kind as a child, he became very cruel and uncaring; killing his servants when they displeased him and developing a love for torturing people.
Dark Marik eventually is able to reemerge and take control of the normal Marik's body later on in the story and replaces him as the main antagonist. Dark Marik proves to be even more vicious than the original Marik. While the real Marik enjoyed violence and cruelty, he would only use it when he was angry or when it would further his own desires, but his dark side would attack anyone who crossed his path and would prolong their suffering for as long as possible; in the manga and Japanese Duel Monsters anime, he explicitly stated that he liked killing people because it was "fun" and "was the only thing that bought him Happiness". He only cares for his own survival and actively tries to kill the normal Marik so he can have sole possession of their body. He also dislikes Rishid for sealing him away and actively tries to kill him, although he is unable to for a multitude of reasons.
While he is connected to the Millennium Rod, Dark Marik differs from Dark Yugi and Dark Bakura in that he is an inhuman entity born from Marik Ishtar's pain and despair and can exist on his own without a host. (He explains that Dark Yugi would cease to exist if Yugi were destroyed, but the normal Marik's destruction wouldn't affect him.) Although not explicitly stated, it is hinted in the manga that he manipulated Marik into committing some of his later crimes, as he told Dark Yugi that he "took away" Marik's guilt for the things he did. Following Marik's surrender against Yugi, Dark Marik is destroyed.
Revan[]

Revan is a fictional character in BioWare's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic video game. The character may be either male or female, though Revan is canonically male and follows the game's light-side path. The player's choice of a male or female Revan changes only which characters the player character can fall in love with (as well as slightly altering the way some characters act towards the player). He was voiced by Rino Romano in Knights of the Old Republic and Jeff Bennett in Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Revan's story is further explored in Drew Karpyshyn's 2011 novella Star Wars: The Old Republic: Revan. The book details the events of Revan's life after the events of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, in which Revan attempts to recover his lost memories from the period of the Mandalorian Wars and from his and Malak's travels to discover the Sith empire.
Revan is depicted as a former Jedi who, along with Malak, left the Order to lead the fight in the Mandalorian Wars due to the Jedi's inaction. One year after the end of the Mandalorian Wars, Darth Revan returned to Republic space at the head of a massive invasion fleet. Calling themselves the Sith, they declared war on the Republic. However his intention was to unite the galaxy under one ruler so he could attack the ancient Sith Empire, he avoided attacking key places such as Coruscant, Onderon, and Dantooine. The Sith won the battle and as the Dark Lord prepared to battle with the Jedi who boarded his flagship, Darth Malak, in the hopes of destroying both Revan and Bastila Shan (as well as the Jedi accompanying her), betrayed his Master, ordering the ships under his command to fire on Revan's flagship's bridge. Though Malak believed himself to have been successful in killing Revan, they survived. Revan was severely injured from the turbolaser blasts. He was then taken by Bastila Shan and her Jedi strike team to the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine where the Jedi Council members chose to wipe Revan's memory, and imprint him with a false identity that the player creates at the beginning of the game. Knights of the Old Republic begins with Revan awaking on a starship under attack. Throughout the game, Revan learns of his forgotten history and assembles a band of followers as he searches for "Star Maps" that lead him back to the Star Forge, which Revan used to make his army. Revan encounters Malak, who tells Revan that he is the former Sith lord.
At one point Malak captures Bastila and turns her to the dark side. Her ultimate fate depends on player choices. In the game, the player can choose whether to turn Revan to the dark side or the light side of the Force. Regardless, Revan confronts Malak at the game's conclusion. According to canon, Revan returned as a Jedi Knight who stopped the Sith forces under Malak's control and destroyed the Star Forge. The last scene of the game's canonical ending shows the principal characters, including Revan, being honored by the Republic at the site of the temple on Rakata Prime; a picture of later events has emerged from subsequent games and novels.
The sequel Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords reveals that a year after the defeat of Malak, Revan recalled a threat from his time as the Dark Lord, and left known space to deal with it. Clues to the nature of the threat emerge from in-game dialogue with non-player characters (including Canderous and Kreia); this varies according to alignment and gender.
Prior to the events of the sequel, Revan bade farewell to the nine comrades who had accompanied him on his quest, knowing that none whom he loved could safely accompany him in the places he had to walk; the only NPC with certain knowledge of where and why (his navigation droid, T3-M4) won't say. Also, at the ancient tomb of Ludo Kressh in Korriban, the Jedi Exile fights a silent vision of Darth Revan, in which he appears to wield two lightsabers, one red and one violet. The game lists the color crystal of the light saber the player obtains from him as a unique red color. This is Revan's only appearance in the entire game. Additionally, the Jedi Exile can speak with several companions and non-player characters within the game to learn more about the history of Revan, and his journey into the Unknown Regions.
Mercy Hartigan[]

Mercy Hartigan, or simply Miss Hartigan is the main villain in Doctor Who Christmas special episode "The Next Doctor" (2008). She is the willing accomplice of the Cybermen invasion of London in 1851; she resents her patriarchal oppression by man as a woman in Victorian England and seeks to empower herself through any means.
Mercy Hartigan was cruel, callous and sadistic in her interactions with others, especially men, for whom she seemed to harbour a misandrist hatred. She possessed a dark sense of humour and took pleasure in watching the mourners get massacred, testing the EarPods on Scoons, Fetch, Cole and Milligan and then killing them afterwards. Hartigan displayed a complete lack of empathy and was utterly ruthless. When the CyberLeader opted to convert her, he described her mind to be riven with 'anger and abuse and revenge'.
She panicked once she realised the Cybermen intended to convert her but once her mind took control, she appeared to have gone even more insane than before. While she retained her sadistic nature and her misandry, she became extremely arrogant due to her enhanced intellect and new powers. She attacked London as a demonstration of her power and greatly underestimated and mocked the Doctor during their confrontation.
When the Doctor broke the Cyberconnection linking Hartigan to the Cyberking, her mind was "opened for the first time in far too many years". In a moment of clarity, Hartigan became horrified by what she had become and killed herself along with the Cybermen.
Azula[]

Azula is the secondary antagonist of the Nickelodeon series Avatar: The Last Airbender. She also appears in the following comic books: Avatar: The Search and the Smoke and Shadow trilogy as the main antagonist.
She is the princess of the Fire Nation, and daughter of Fire Lord Ozai and his wife, Princess Ursa. She replaces Zhao as the main enemy for "Team Avatar" and for her banished brother, Prince Zuko. Near the end of the series, she begins to lose her calm nature and slowly slips into insanity. In the series finale, her brother and Katara of the Water Tribe team up and defeat her in one of the last battles in the series.
After her defeat, she suffered nervous breakdown. According to Nickelodeon, Zuko took pity on his sister and sent her to a mental facility. It is unknown if she is still alive during the events of The Legend of Korra, which takes place 70 years later. Though her father is the primary antagonist of the series overall, Azula is the archenemy of Team Avatar, particularly to Zuko and Katara.
Azula relentlessly drilled herself toward perfection and settled for nothing less from herself or those who serve her. She believed that power and domination are what makes a person strong. She had absolute confidence in her "divine right to rule" which she believed she was born with. She had neither pity nor mercy toward those she marked as treasonous or inferior.
Azula was marked by a distinct lack of empathy. Even as a child, she was seen to react with hostility when outdone, when she shoved Ty Lee to the ground after Ty Lee had bested her in gymnastics. This behavior would characterize her relationship with her friends for many years. Although she could be sympathetic and loyal toward them, she never cared for their feelings and manipulated them as she saw fit, such as when she threatened Ty Lee into leaving the circus and joining her cause.
She was prone to asserting herself and her authority in an extremely grandiose way, such as when she humiliated Long Feng in front of his former henchmen or when she threatened the captain of her ship. She also showed a need for admiration from her father, whom she emulated to a great degree, and to a lesser extent from everyone else around her. She was shown reacting with despair and rage when she learned her father was going to the Earth Kingdom without her, which soon increased her mental deterioration.
She was voiced by Grey DeLisle.
Vegeta[]

Vegeta is the first of the four arch-villains of Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Z Kai (along with Frieza, Cell, and Buu). He appears as the deuteragonist and anti-hero from the Dragon Ball franchise and Dragon Ball Z Kai series. He is one of the last surviving members of a race known as the Saiyans, who were destroyed when Frieza blew up their planet. He joins Goku in his fight against Frieza, and is killed. Vegeta was brought back to life by the Dragon Balls, and from then on, is a reluctant member of Goku's team. He switches sides often throughout the series, whether it be mind control or him being power mad, in the end he always fights Goku. Though eventually, even he cannot keep up with Goku. Vegeta made his first appearance in Dragon Ball Z as the main antagonist of the Saiyan Saga.
Regal, egotistical, and full of pride, Vegeta was once a ruthless, cold-blooded warrior and outright killer, but later abandons his role in the Galactic Frieza Army, instead opting to remain and live on Earth, fighting alongside the universe's most powerful warrior, specifically with the mission to defeat and surpass Goku in power. His character evolves from villain, to anti-hero, to a hero through the course of the series.
Riliane Lucifen d'Autriche[]

Riliane Lucifen d'Autriche is one of the main characters of The Evillous Chornicles series, being the main antagonist of The Daughter of Evil: Cloture of Yellow and the central protagonist in The Daughter of Evil series. She is reperesented by Rin in VOCALOID franchise.
Riliane was the last Princess of the Kingdom of Lucifenia, regarded as The Daughter of Evil, and the twin sister of Prince Alexiel. Separated from her twin in a political dispute during childhood, Riliane grew up in a lavish lifestyle, ignorant of her past. The selfish Princess was unknowingly possessed by the Demon of Pride and, after her mother's death, became Lucifenia's monarch. An arrogant tyrant, Riliane became despised for her terrible regime, aided by her loyal servant, Allen, in exterminating any opposition.
Since childhood, Riliane was influenced by several factors to be prideful, selfish and inconsiderate. Raised in luxury, she was ignorant of and apathetic towards the outside world, therefore abusing her authority to cater to her own whims. She similarly felt entitled to anything that she wanted and couldn't tolerate being questioned in the slightest; this spoiled selfishness even exhibited in her as a child, albeit not nearly to their later extremes, and as Riliane matured it seemed to vanish entirely. Although Riliane at the world's end at first appeared to be as bratty as she was before, she later used her sense of pride to fuel her self-confidence instead of her cruelty.
Her selfishness was compounded by the effects of the Demon of Pride; influenced to act as an HER, Riliane saw no value in others' lives and never questioned any decision or request she ever made, no matter what it was. As a result, she ruled her people without any regard for their suffering, readily executed servants, and thought nothing of even large scale atrocities. Riliane justified this with a stratified worldview, believing that inequality was necessary for society to function. She also, however, hid an undercurrent of insecurity, often feeling that she was all alone while at the "top" of society due to losing her parents and, subconsciously, her twin Alexiel.
Despite all this, Riliane as a young child was nonetheless kind, gentle, assertive, and loving. After being freed of her possession, this kindness in Riliane was allowed to gradually develop in the humble setting of the monastery. Burdened with guilt over her past behavior and adopting Levin principles, she grew into a nurturing figure and respected all life, and all people, equally. Similarly, after the world's end Riliane shared her affluence with everyone from her time period with a party, rather than only trying to show off her power to the elites. She also began to take the initiative in doing things for herself, rather than having other people do things for her.
Riliane maintained a haughty and proper facade, wishing to appear like a strong queen so as to prevent herself from being manipulated again; despite this, when not in public she was prone to sporadic and childish tantrums if displeased, or flat apathy if bored. Riliane also would act more casually with those that she liked, with her cheerful and girlish behavior a stark contrast to her murderous whims. As she matured, Riliane became calmer in personality; although she remained occasionally rude by nature, she continued to observe propriety in her duties when appropriate. Riliane also, through the whole of her life, loved sweets and brioche in particular.
Queen Ahames[]

Queen Ahames (simply known as Ahames) is a general of the Great Star League Gozma serving as the second lead commander of their Earth invasion fleet and a major antagonist in Dengeki Sentai Changeman.
Queen Ahames is the former queen of Planet Amazo (アマゾ星 Amazo-sei) who had been recruited by Star King Bazoo to lead his Gozma forces. However she has no interest in working with the space master and worked alongside General Giluke in assassinating him. After the attempt failed, Ahames mysteriously disappeared to work on other Gozma functions, to the point that Giluke had no idea where she was until Space Beast Marzo states that Ahames gives her greetings, making him know that she was still alive out there.
Ahames finally arrives on Earth, but does so on her own terms: creating a "flying ghost ship" which appears over the Dutch Quarter of Nagasaki, she ends up luring both the Gozma and the Changeman to her. During initial assaults, she easily defeats Shou after disguising herself as a worker at the Dutch park, then captures Adjutant Booba when the Gozma head down to investigate how several Hidrers were not working for them. Showing no loyalty to anyone, Ahames easily takes down the Changeman while eluding and defeating the Gozma trying to get close to her by order of Bazoo and Giluke. Ultimately, she reveals that she returned to Bazoo to regain his trust, which he states he'll only give if she defeats the Changeman. However, after Tsurugi and Shou disable her ghost ship illusion, the Changeman defeat her forces and Ahames decides to stay on Earth to keep her promise for Bazoo. However, Bazoo severely punishes her for her failure and likewise forbid her from teaming up with Giluke, knowing that they would turn against him again if they reunited.
Upon hearing of the power of the Rigel Aura emitted by young girls of planet Rigel for reaching maturity, Ahames heads to Earth with a squadron of Space Beasts to claim it for her own. After holding off the Changeman and Giluke, she bathes within the Rigel Aura of Nana to gain the super power it possesses. Ep. 32: Nana! Dangerous Reunion Ep. 33: The End of Giluke!? This super power gives her two abilities that give the Changeman even further problems: the "Hard Wall" which is impossible to break, and the "Hard Attack" which allows for her to seal off the Earth Force within the Changeman's own bodies. With her new powers and Giluke's banishment from the Gozma force, Bazoo gives her complete control of the Earth invasion which she uses to easily crush the heroes over and over. It is only after rededicating themselves that they awaken the full power of their Earth Force, allowing for them to break through Ahames' super power with ease. Ep. 34: Ahames the Terrible Ep. 36: Behold! Our Power
Though ruling the Gozma Earth invasion force on her own, she begins to become bothered with Giluke returning as a ghost swearing revenge on her alongside the Changeman. Ahames desires the elimination of Giluke and even attempts to fight against him and take away means by which he can fight back, such as trying to abduct or even kill Nana to prevent him from using her Rigel Aura for himself. But Bazoo reprimands Ahames, allowing for Giluke to get away with his plans believing that his tenacity to survive after "death" would be interesting to see and not seeing any results from Ahames' battles. Helpless, she is forced to see Giluke finally return as Super Giluke, giving her another problem to deal with alongside the heroes.
Eventually, with all of the minions defected or killed, Ahames, against her will, is ultimately turned into Space Beast Maze by a combination of Giluke and Bazoo at the cost of her sanity. Having experience her service as an Ugly Space Beast Soldier, Maze uses super-sonic powers to discover the EDF Dengeki Squadron base, which she invades before being deflected by Ibuki, who reveals his own alien heritage to stop her. In the midst of the battle, Ahames splits from Maze to invade Dengeki Squadron base while chaotically destroying everything in her path. As the base explodes around her, she yells out over and over for Bazoo to restore planet Amazo with herself as her rightful ruler for her supposed victory. Ahames' last act of insanity shrieks Bazoo's name as the destruction of the base consumes her to her death.
Esdeath[]

General Esdeath (simply known as Esdeath) is the secondary antagonist of the manga, Akame Ga Kill!, and the 2014 anime adaptation of the same name. She is a high-ranking general of the Empire, one of the most powerful Teigu users in the world and the leader of the Jaegers. Esdeath was responsible for the deaths of millions of people in the north of the country and several other conflicts and war on account of the rebellion against the Empire. She has committed the second largest number of horrible atrocities of any member of the Empire, behind Prime Minister Honest himself.
Esdeath was a sadistic, barbarous and manipulative woman who lacks empathy for people of whom she deems weak. Ever since she was motivated by her father's philosophy ("The strong survive and the weak die"), she has gone through torturous activities that involve putting her enemies through great pain, both physically and emotionally. She has no qualms about killing innocent people to get what she wants, and rationalizes her behavior with her father's old creed.
Despite all of this, Esdeath has shown a genuine and charismatic side of her. She is known for treating her subordinates fair and well, and being for them when they're in angst, a good example being when Esdeath embraced Seryu while she mourned over the death of her colleague. By letting them do as they please, this in turn inspires their intense loyalty and devotion towards her, making her followers the strongest offensive force of the Empire. This side of her truly shines when expressing her love for Tatsumi, in which she offers a warm and comforting affection for him, even swearing to protect him from anyone that dare harms him and willing to clear up his name as a member of the Night Raid.
Esdeath has also shown to be quite honorable, as she enjoys to challenge an opponent that can give her a great battle. She holds special respect for strong opponents, which she shows when she openly recognizes Susanoo as a warrior rather than a simple Teigu. She also ultimately accepted her death when bested by Akame. Though because of this, she has a bloodlusted mindset that puts her in position of committing actions that would incite more hatred against the empire, in the hopes of being able to put down more rebellions. She has even stated that should the empire fall, she would simply start a war herself to satisfy her need for bloodshed.
Although she is unabashedly bloodthirsty and heartless, she keeps it from from dominating her judgment. If she sees that the battle is too much for her soldiers, she orders a retreat and doesn't risk heavy losses. While she will torture subordinates who fail, she can be forgiving to failed servitors, provided that they aren't complete failures, and gives them the benefit of the doubt if the failure wasn't their fault. However, this is later proven to be nothing more than facade of a psychotic, bloodlusted maniac, as shown during the final battle against the Revolutionary Army where she uses her real trump card to cover the Empire in a Russian Winter.
Najenda notes that such a technique puts Esdeath's subordinates, as well as their families, at risk, but regardless of that, Esdeath ultimately didn't care as she responds with a wicked smile. On top of that, she rationalizes her actions with her belief of social darwinism, showing her cruelty and depravity.
Interestingly, prior to the final battle, Esdeath spoke of dedicating the battle in the fallen Jaegers group's memory. This is shown more clearly when she initially disregarded Seryu's demise, while internally admitted to missing them greatly and envisions the entire group in her memory. This shows that while she would put her men and their families at risk, she does fondly recall her subordinates, who she looked as more than just some lackey; especially those in comparison to Liver, Nyau and Daidara. Ultimately, despite her atrocious behavior, she secretly holds genuine regard for the people she loves and cares for.
She was voiced by Satomi Akesaka in the Japanese dubbed version of the anime, and by Christine Auten in the English dubbed version.
Draco Malfoy[]

Draco Lucius Malfoy (b. 5 June 1980) was a pure-blood wizard and the only son of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy (née Black). The son of a Death Eater, Draco was raised to believe strongly in the importance of blood purity. He attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1991-1998 and was sorted into Slytherin House. During his years at Hogwarts, he became friends with Vincent Crabbe, Gregory Goyle, Pansy Parkinson, and other fellow Slytherins, but he quickly developed a rivalry with Harry Potter.
He was made a prefect of his house and was a member of the Inquisitorial Squad during his fifth year, at the end of which his father was imprisoned in Azkaban following the Battle of the Department of Mysteries. Lord Voldemort charged Draco with making up for Lucius's failure, and he became a Death Eater at age sixteen, but was quickly disillusioned with the lifestyle. Draco was unable to complete his task — murdering Albus Dumbledore, which was taken over by Severus Snape — and only performed his other duties fearfully and reluctantly. He and his family defected hours before the end of the Second Wizarding War fearing for their lives.
By 2017, Draco had married Astoria Greengrass and had one child, Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy.
Queen Azshara[]

Queen Azshara was the beloved queen of the Night Elves 10,000 years ago and was one of the main causes of the War of the Ancients. In World of Warcraft, she appears as a supporting flashback antagonist in Cataclysm, a supporting antagonist of Legion and will appear as presumably one of the main antagonists in the upcoming Battle for Azeroth.
She is voiced by Laura Post, who also voiced Harley Quinn in Batman: The Enemy Within and Ragyo Kiryuin in the English dub of Kill la Kill.
Azshara is the queen of the naga ruling from the underwater city of Nazjatar. Once the beloved ruler of the Kaldorei Empire over ten thousand years ago, she was entrancingly beautiful and beloved by her people. When her Highborne made contact with the Dark Titan Sargeras and his Burning Legion, she accepted his offer to cleanse her world of the impure, of the inferior races. The Highborne and the demons worked together to summon the full might of the Legion and their master on Azeroth through the Well of Eternity, but their efforts were thwarted by the night elven rebellion.
The Well of Eternity was destabilized, and collapsed, swallowing immense swathes of land with it in an event known as the Great Sundering. Azshara and many of her Highborne followers fell into the depths of the newly created sea, and would have drowned if not for the intervention of the Old Gods. They forged a pact, and saved the night elves by transforming them into the serpentine naga, a price they would pay by becoming their servants.
Azshara will be a boss in the second raid of World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth. She will be the equivalent to Gul'dan at the Nighthold raid.

Laphicet[]

Laphicet (ライフィセット Raifisetto?) is a protagonist in Tales of Berseria and minor character in Tales of Zestiria. A child of the malakhim race, he is initially seen as an emotionless tool, but through his interactions with Velvet Crowe, he gains feelings and selfhood.
Laphicet appears as a young child in pale, innocent colors. His white and blue contrasts strongly with Velvet's red and black. He initially appears shy and withdrawn due to his enslavement to exorcists, but he eventually develops his own sense of self and ability to smile. He soon becomes close with Velvet, determined to protect her. He loves studying new things and reading. As the youngest member of the party, Laphicet idolizes both Eizen and Rokurou, who each on their own way encourage Laphicet to live his own life, becoming his own person, different from the both of them.
Willy Wonka[]

Willy Wonka is a fictional character in Roald Dahl's 1964 children's novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, its sequel Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator, and the film adaptations of these books that followed.
The book and the film adaptations both vividly depict an odd Wonka, a phoenix-like man arising from his creative and strange genius. He bewilders the other characters with his antics, but Charlie enjoys Wonka's behaviour. In the 2005 film adaptation, Willy Wonka's behaviour is viewed more as a sympathetic character flaw.
Wonka's reasons for giving away his factory in the books are revealed to be because he has no living relatives and is getting too old to keep running it. In the 1971 film adaptation, Wonka gives it to Charlie because he couldn't trust it with an adult who would likely change and ruin the wonder of his life's work so they could do it "their way", not his. Wonka tells Charlie he "can't go on forever", so he wanted to find an honest child to whom he could entrust his candy making secrets, and properly take care of his beloved factory working friends, the Oompa-Loompas, whom he rescued from a violently dangerous and terrible country called "Loompaland," where he thought they would surely go extinct. In the 2005 film adaption, Wonka tells Charlie that one day while getting his hair cut, he found grey hair and realized he, having no family, needed to find an heir. This is later revealed to be somewhat of a lie, as Charlie later discovers Willy has an estranged father with whom he has bad blood, which causes him great mental anguish and flashbacks that happen increasingly by the day. He decides to help the disturbed Willy finally confront, and ultimately, reunite with his estranged father, Dr. Wilbur Wonka, DDS, whose overbearing attempts at protecting his son's teeth, going so far as to throw into the fireplace any candies he brings home, drove Willy to run away. But, missing his train, he comes home to find the entire house is gone, seeming to have been perfectly removed from the complex it was a section of. Charlie tracks down the dentist's address, and upon this joyous, though at first awkward, reunion with his father, Willy immediately and happily allows Charlie's family to move into the factory with the pair, going so far as to have their house placed in his famous chocolate room, having overcome his fear of parents. He used to not even be able to say the word "parents" without slightly panicking, stuttering and gagging upon even attempting to utter the first syllable, causing the parents on the tour that day to have to say it for him, or to abandon the word completely, mid-sentence.
Hamlet[]

Prince Hamlet is the title character and protagonist of William Shakespeare's tragedy Hamlet. He is the Prince of Denmark, nephew to the usurping Claudius, and son of King Hamlet, the previous King of Denmark. At the beginning of the play, he struggles with whether, and how, to avenge the murder of his father, and struggles with his own sanity along the way. By the end of the tragedy, Hamlet has caused the deaths of Polonius, Laertes, Claudius, and two acquaintances of his from the University of Wittenberg Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. He is also indirectly involved in the deaths of his love Ophelia (drowning) and of his mother Gertrude (poisoned by Claudius by mistake).
Nico Robin[]

Nico Robin is one of the main characters in One Piece and the seventh member of the Straw Hat Pirates to join the crew.
Growing up in Ohara, home of the world's oldest and largest library, Robin becomes an archaeologist at the age of eight. At some point she gains the power of the Paramecia-type Flower-Flower Fruit (ハナハナの実 Hana Hana no Mi), which allows her to have temporary copies of parts of her body, including her eyes and ears, which spring up on surfaces near her.[ch. 170] Behind her teachers' backs she acquires from them the outlawed knowledge of how to translate the ancient stones called Ponegliffs (歴史の本文 ポーネグリフ Pōnegurifu, alt. Poneglyphs), which are scattered around the world. She comes to share their goal of finding the illusive Real Ponegliff (真の歴史の本文 リオ・ポーネグリフ Rio Pōnegurifu), which is said to tell the world's lost history.
However, the World Government finds out about these efforts and sends a battlefleet to stop them. Only Robin escapes the devastating attack that claims the lives of the island's entire population, including that of her mother. Called "Devil Child" (悪魔の子 Akuma no Ko), traumatized, and with a bounty on her head, Robin lives a life on the run, unable to trust anyone.[ch. 218] To survive, she cooperates with various pirates and other outlaws, until eventually joining forces with Sir Crocodile, leading Baroque Works with him, using the codename "Ms. All-Sunday" (ミス・オールサンデー Misu Ōrusandē) and becoming their vice-president.
After Baroque Works falls apart, with nowhere else to go, Robin tags along with the Straw Hat Pirates and grows so fond of them that she gives herself up to the Government in order to save them. Only after they discover her motives, and declare open war on her powerful nemesis to get her back, does she come to realize that she has finally found people who will never sell her out, and becomes a part of the crew. After the two-year period where the Straw Hats are separated, Robin further hones her Devil Fruit powers to the point she can create a full-bodied duplicate of herself.
Princess Amber[]

Princess Amber is the deuteragonist of the Disney Junior animated series Sofia the First. She is Sofia's older sister, Prince James's twin sister and the first Princess of Enchancia.
Originally, Amber was cold, spoiled, bratty and envious but knew when to admit her mistakes. Amber loves her family, especially her father King Roland. She admires Miranda with great affection, even giving her a rose flowered unicorn bush to show how much she cared for her. Even though she tends to manipulate and ignore James, she appears to actually love and care about her brother, judging by her reaction when James says that he likes Sofia better than her, which was the first time that she was shown feeling truly depressed.
As the series has progressed, she is growing to be more responsible, kind and respective towards Sofia by teaching her more about being a princess. She tries keep Sofia out of harm's way as well. And while she is still holding on to her old haughty, vain and spoiled behavior, Amber is steadily improving not only as a princess but as a person as well.
Though she mostly has a cold manner, she can become emotional and even a bit violent at times. She even hit Wormwood with a broom to maneuver him into his birdcage to allow Sofia to get the book with the counter spell for the sleeping spell. Amber has also furiously chased a wild carpet and often scolds others' errors in displeasing her—this includes squirting glue and glitter on her dress (in the case of Princess Leena) or (in the case of her peacock, Praline) failing to let her succeed.
Amber can be a bit bossy, believing that bigger is better and that simple is not good enough. She tends to take over party-planning, believing that she knows best. She has to be reminded that people have their own ways of throwing parties. Her desire to win can also get her into trouble, such as when she cheated to win the school's costume contest. Occasionally, her selfishness, such as wanting her own birthday, causes trouble for others as well. Through the consequences of these actions, they have taught her valuable life lessons. Amber has shown to be very fashion conscious believing that style and beauty are more important than actually competing at times. She admits she likes coaching because it allows her to boss others around.
Like her father, Amber is also naive when it comes to magic due to not really understanding it or knowing how to use it properly as shown when she recklessly used up all three of her wishes and when she accidently activated the Amulet of Avalor's safeguard by stealing it from Sofia.
Anastasia Tremaine[]

Anastasia Tremaine is one of the secondary antagonists in Disney's 1950 animated feature film, Cinderella. She is one of Cinderella's two stepsisters, the younger sister of Drizella Tremaine, and the younger daughter of Lady Tremaine.
In the original movie, Anastasia was portrayed as being just as selfish and spoiled as her sister Drizella. However, her character is fleshed out considerably in the sequels, showing that, while her mother's a socialite obsessed with status, Anastasia's more interested in finding somebody who will love her for who she is. While she is indeed ungrateful and rather ugly in the first movie, she's portrayed as being merely plain (compared to the beauty of Cinderella) rather than ugly as she becomes a more sympathetic character. Her relationship with Cinderella was incredibly strained in the original film, but the sequel shows that Cinderella was able to let bygones be bygones. However, Anastasia still felt some envy of Cinderella's incredible beauty as she was shown to be hesitant in gaining Cinderella's help to woo the local Baker, with whom she fell in love. It's possible that she was favored by Lady Tremaine, as in the third film, Lady Tremaine chose Anastasia to wear the slipper and marry the prince, when she altered history using the Fairy Godmother's wand.
However, Anastasia had a romantic side, as she had once felt a desire to fall in love with Prince Charming (upon whom her mother had placed a love spell to get him to love her). She later realized, after speaking with Charming's father about love, that she wanted to be loved for who she is and not because of a spell or a trick. She defied her mother, returning the wand and apologizing for everything she'd done.
This repentant act earned her forgiveness from everyone, particularly the King who wanted Anastasia to keep the seashell his own wife, who had given it to him, telling her everyone deserves love.
Touka Akatsuki / Kamen Rider Idunn[]

Touka Akatsuki (朱月 籐果 Akatsuki Tōka) is the main antagonist of Kamen Rider Gaim Gaiden: Kamen Rider Zangetsu. She was a servant of the Kureshima family and a childhood friend of Takatora Kureshima. Because of her past, she has the unique ability to control the flow of Cracks at will. In an act of revenge, she gains a Sengoku Driver and is able to become Kamen Rider Idunn (仮面ライダーイドゥン Kamen Raidā Idun) using the Ringo Lockseed.
Touka was among the list of children in Zawame Children's Nursery where they were part of a lethal experiment led by Amagi Kureshima that allowed them to control Helheim at will. In her teenage years, she was hired by the Kureshimas as a maid servant. She became close friends with Takatora during her time as a maid/servant, which she baked an apple pie for her close friend. Years later, Touka reunites with Takatora and she spends her time with the Kureshima brothers for a short while, however, she tells the Kureshima brothers that their father had passed away.
Unknown to them, Touka gained a Sengoku Driver and a Ringo Lockseed to become Kamen Rider Idunn. She reveals that she is the one responsible for the murder of Amagi Kureshima and later she would attempt to murder the Kureshima brothers and destroy Yggdrasill facilities along with it, as an act of revenge for turning her into a guinea pig. However, she never realized about her time with Takatora and Mitsuzane, of them treating her kindly as a human being, and seeing her like a sister to them.
As Idunn, she is responsible for the attacks on the Kurokage Troopers, Sid and almost attacked Yoko. She uses the ability to control the flow of the Cracks due to the Ringo Lockseed's effect. When she's about to attack Mitsuzane, Takatora shows up as he tries to transform into Zangetsu-Shin, but she quickly steals the Melon Energy Lockseed and runs away.
After Takatora unmasks her in an abandoned child care facility, Takatora realizes the truth about his father's past and Touka's treachery as she transforms into Idunn to clash against Takatora, who transforms into Zangetsu Watermelon Arms. After she's being shot, Takatora regains his Melon Energy Lockseed to transform into Zangetsu-Shin so that he can defeat her.
After she is weakened by Takatora, she is somehow spared by Takatora, due to treating her like a human and family in the past, other than just a slave. While retreating back to where her identity was discovered by Takatora, she doesn't understand, even he's a Kureshima, why he spared her. At same time when she was about to be turned into an Inves, due to the Ringo Lockseed's effect, she is confronted by Kamen Rider Duke who revealed to her that he was also a slave within the Nursery, and killed her, then subsequently takes the Forbidden Ringo Lockseed from her dead body.
Chelsea[]

Chelsea is a character from the manga and anime Akame ga Kill!. She was one of the two new members of Night Raid that joins Najenda's branch along with Susanoo. She later died in the line of duty.
Chelsea had pale skin, auburn hair (pink in the anime), and red eyes (pink in the anime). She wore a butterfly headphone accessory on her head. She wore a vocalist-like clothing consisting of a white long sleeve shirt with the collar tied with a red ribbon under a black vest a red checkered mini skirt, and black leather below-the-knee boots. She carried her Teigu, Gaea Foundation, wherever she went. She was always seen sucking on a lollipop.
Chelsea had a mischievous personality, but this may have been an act. She had a cold calculating side which can often lead to her making a blunt (but accurate) analysis of a person or situation. In the end, she was shown to have good intentions and tried to help the Night Raid members to become more realistic, as she was shown to deeply care for them and didn't want to lose them like she lost her old team. She was shown to have a love for lollipops as her Teigu was filled with them and she was usually shown having one in her mouth.
