Koba is a major antagonist in the Planet of the Apesreboot franchise, starting off as a major character in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, the main antagonist of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and a posthumous antagonist in War for the Planet of the Apes. He is an aggressive, dangerous, vengeful and violent Bonobo ape who is considered to be a dark counterpart to the protagonist, Caesar, whom he initially respected.
