Kazuichi Soda (左右田 和一 Sōda Kazuichi) is one of the characters featured in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair and a participant in the Killing School Trip.
Kazuichi has the title Ultimate Mechanic (超高校級の「メカニック」chō kōkō kyū no “mekanikku” lit. Super High School Level Mechanic).
Kazuichi returns in Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School as one of students from Class 77-B in Hope's Peak Academy with the other Remnants of Despair. Kazuichi was succumbed to despair along with his classmates after being brainwashed by Junko Enoshima and became a part of Ultimate Despair.
Kazuichi appears in a light novel titled Danganronpa: Togami as one of the antagonists and a member of Ultimate Despair. His illusory version also appeared in the 30-minutes long OVA titled Super Danganronpa 2.5: Nagito Komaeda and the Destroyer of the World.
Kazuichi managed to survive the final trial in and escape back to the real world with the other survivors at the end of Danganronpa 2 and remained in Jabberwock Island. He and his awakened coma classmates decide to atone for their sins as the former member of Ultimate Despair.
