Kakuna is a cocoon Pokemon. It evolves from Weedle. It is not very strong as it know only a few moves.
It doesn't take very long to evolve into a Beedrill. It's not a good idea to disturb Kakunas because of this, as Beedrills are known to be very aggressive.
Kakuna remains virtually immobile as it clings to a tree. However, on the inside, it is extremely busy as it prepares for its coming evolution. This is evident from how hot the shell becomes to the touch.
Its name is a corruption of cocoon.
Journey Through Kanto[]
At the beginning of the story, Kakuna were seen on the trees within Viridian Forest. Upon taking notice of the group, they immediately evolved into Beedrills.
