John Jones is one of the main protagonists in Fortnite.
Background[]
As one of the Imagined Order's agents, Agent Jones sought to stabilize the Zero Point by gathering hunters who can escape the Loop. Following his rage and defection that the Imagined Order cannot fix it, he found help from the Foundation, the leader of the Seven who sealed himself and the Zero Point. With Jones absent, some figures that looked like himself, which are called Snapshots, have appeared on the Island, Apollo, to aid the Loopers on finding the real Jones. Later on, he was somehow captured and about be executed by the Imagined Order for treason. However, when the Foundation saved him, they fought their way to flip the Island into its new side, Artemis, which ended the invasion of the Last Reality, orchestrated by the Cube Queen.
When war broke in Artemis, as the fighter of the Resistance, Jones trained the Loopers to fight back and instruct them to spy on the IO operations and gave his best banana friend, Peely, some driving lessons to give the Seven an edge for victory. In the Seven's desperate effort to save reality from the Collider, the doomsday device that detonate the Zero Point to destroy everything in the the reality, he and the Foundation sabotaged the defenses of the Collider, allowing the Seven's Mech team, led by the Paradigm, to demolish it. Before the Collider's destruction, Jones and the Foundation discovered that the Zero Point shows the mysterious mastermind of the Imagined Order, Geno, giving them the opportunity to find him. After that, many Loopers and the Seven celebrated their victory against the Imagined Order until the mysterious metal liquid substance called Chrome started to consume everything in its path. Although the Loopers, including Jones and AMIE, put their efforts to save the Island, the Herald successfully infused herself with the Reality Tree, causing both Apollo and Artemis to explode.
Following the Paradigm's sacrifice to form Asteria, Jones arrived here to aid a group of thieves, led by Nolan Chance, even though he reluctantly followed the footsteps of his former enemy, Doctor Slone, who hired them. With the Time Machine successfully stolen by Kado Thorne, Jones travelled back in time to make a big bang that would create new realities.
In his arrival to the new Island, Helios, once Jones joined the Underground, led by Hope, he vowed revenge against the Society for kidnapping Peely. After he rescued his best banana friend, the Pandora's Box emerged from the ground and released many evil spirits on the Island until Zeus resealed them in and sought to punish all mortals for opening it. Following Zeus's defeat, when Megalo Don and his crew of marauders arrives to plunder Helios once they refuel their ship, the Leviathan, with Nitro, Jones and the Underground forces put their efforts on sabotaging the tyrant's conquest. Later on, Jones gave up vengeance and became Captain Jones, his counterpart to Captain America, to fight against Doctor Doom who infused himself with the energy of the Pandora's Box.
