Jecht is a character in the Final Fantasy X and Tidus' father.
Tidus hates his father for multiple reasons. One of the biggest though is that he just disappeared one day, and Tidus never knew why.

Jecht joins up with Pandora and her minions went they sense his bloody murder and overhear that Jecht is a big fan of her work.
Julia Chang reformed him into saving her friends. After this, Jecht learns the truth behind the conflict and that as he was originally a warrior of Comos, manifested crystals that Greed intends to use to order to survive World B's destruction. Disgusted, Jecht leaves to find a good fight and battles Thrax. Defeated, and pleased with Julia's resolution, Jecht rises and dissolves into pyreflies.
Dissidia: Shadowgate[]
Jecht was only seen with Golbez after Firion was able to defeat the Behmoth in his lair in Shadowgate. He actually congratulated his son, and Yuna, on a job well done and that he was proven to be as strong as him. By the time the young ones went back to Spira, he wasn't seen since; perhaps he went back to the Farplane.
