Jar Jar Binks is one of the more prominent characters in the Star Wars franchise. A clumsy Gungan from the planet Naboo, Jar Jar was banished by Boss Nass for...being clumsy. Yeah, you could say that. Whilst wandering the forest, he was saved by Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi and vowed to help them and be their guide. After the events of The Phantom Menace, Jar Jar became a delegate to the Galactic Senate.
By far, Menslady125, 22kingdomheartsfan, TheNightKing and MysteryandFantasyStudios seem to be the only Star Wars fans who like him. However, Fanfictiondreamer, although not super crazy about the character, has gotten use to him and seems to accept him a lot more than any zealous Star Wars fan. Even him being a bit of a funny character has come in use, especially during the Clone Wars series.
Powerful Harmony[]
Jar Jar made his first (and possibly only appearance) in the US4 spinoff: Powerful Harmony. Although one of the funniest characters in her stories, there are others who are more so the butt of any jokes than him. When he first met the Bender kids, Toph was able to identify him as "someone who not only has large feet, but also have a very hard time staying on them", in which Anakin and Padme immediately identified as Jar Jar.
He does come off as very friendly was very eager to meet the Bender kids. However, the first of his many gags involved getting tangled with Sokka while trying to pull themselves back together. Even though Jar Jar can get himself tangled in some awkward situations, Sokka seems to have beat him as the kind to get involved in more funny mishaps than Jar Jar, much to Anakin's annoyance and his friends' embarrassment. (Sokka did, after all, think at one point that Appa ate Momo and then climbed into his mouth to try and "retrieve" Momo)
After they confronted Azula for the first time, Zuko made a comment that Jar Jar makes a better person than her, to which Anakin agreed on.
