Jack the Ripper is the main antagonist of the DC Elseworlds comic book story Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, and its animated film adaptation. He is a fictionalized version of the infamous real life serial killer of the same name, though his true identity differs between the comic and film versions. In both, however, he comes to Gotham City to continue his murders of prostitute.
He was revealed to be James Gordon of all people in the film.

Chapter 1[]
Jack The Ripper is among Becker's men that shows up and he attacks the heroes with his other allies so they can use the map to help the Cartel acquire more influence.
Jack The Ripper tries to take his last stand against them for Becker to get Harry and Bender to get the map as he sees the two of them take the map and works to prevent this.
Though he fails, he puts up a real ressistance, and then he joins the crew in chasing Bender
Chapter 2[]
Jack, Blaine, Don Bizioso and Blaine are busy working away concoting a plan of their own to assist Becker's plans and to force the map off the crew respectfullyBecker, Tuco, Clarence, Stansfield, Jermiah, Don Vizzzo and Jack The Ripper find Bean and her friends and try to kill them respectfully.
Jack gets a hold of Sombra to go after the crew. The Next Morning he and the others fight with Bender, Luan, Slade, Anti Cosmo, Harry, Wile E, Bean, Elfo, Luci and King Zog and the insuring fight results in Becker getting most of the map.
Not willing to takes any chances, Becker sends his goons after both groups to hinder their own chances.
Chapter 3[]
Jack The Ripper arrives with the others in South Park and goes with Becker and Stansfield to recruit Sergant Yates to help them with their plans which succeeds respectfully. Deciding on the legal way on Becker's accords, He decides to put warrants on Bean, Elfo, Luci, Stan, Wendy and King Zog as covinces them to put some on Bender, Luan, Wile E, Slade, Anti Cosmo and Harry Wells as well.
Jack, Yates and Norman work on the warrants and manage to track the others to Tegridy Farms. Then after the crew get away, He and Stansfield place a tracker on the Tiabeanie Group so they can track them for Becker.
Chapter 4[]
Jack, Yates and Stansfield finish their warrants for the capture for both of their teams and they are ready to capture and arrest Bender, Anti Cosmo, Slade, Luan, Harry, Wile E, Bean, Stan, Wendy, Elfo, Luci and King Zog. They return and hand them to Becker as he decided he can use arrest or threatens of death like he has done for rivals for his group, which Becker states is what he will do to Slade as Jack gives some info he dug up on Slade to further blackmail him.
Jack arrives with the others to go after Wile E, Harry, Anti Cosmo, Slade, Luan and Bender. Intend to put the six behind bars or die if Slade and Anti Cosmo don't give up their continent to him. Slade refuses the bait and fight him and the others and the two put it together through their fight and this info, that he is none other than Jim Gordon as Slade was investigating this guy specially and is horrified at what he did in regards to his misogynistic vehemency and devotion to spilling blood. Jack is assigned by Becker with Stansfield to take direct action against Slade for refusing his "generosity."
Chapter 5[]
Jack The Ripper goes into Slade's building country and he Kicking off a murder spree where he hunts down and slaughters numerous innocent women on the streets and tortures them with Stansfiled and Ripper takes photos of the women he hunting and murders to give to Slade. Afterwards, Jack tJack the Ripper and the others are sent to go after Bean's location after Hero tells them about what he has seen with Bean, Luan, Harry, Slade and Anti Cosmo. With His Other Allies, he ambushed the group and Zog takes on Jack The Ripper during their fight
He makes the photos apparent to Slade before he leaves and this startles him that Becker not only knew where he is, but knew exactly what to do to get to him.The Ripper takes on mainly Zog
Chapter 6[]
Jack arrives with the others with the intent to do what Becker and his superiors want and get the Infosphere for them . Jack The Ripper takes on Harrison Wells himself
He does have the edge on Harry, until Harry reveals his own trick respectfully causing Jack to be taken down and defeated and Harry knocks him unconsciousness and has him arrested.

Chapter 8: Earth X's Last Stand[]
He rejoins The Cartel to kill Bender and his friends as well as Slade and his crew. Though he does a good job at dealing with them, he was killed by the heroes and villains respectfully.
