The Imperium of Man, also called the Imperium of Mankind and simply the Imperium, is a galaxy-spanning, interstellar Human empire, the ultimate authority for the majority of the Human species in the Milky Way Galaxy in the 41st Millennium. It is ruled by the living god who is known as the Emperor of Mankind.
Man was at the crude point as primitive ape caveman. They were guided by an orb of light. That light had managed to be the emperor of man where they referred to him as a god. He did not like the title and killed anyone who referred to his selfless generosity as such. No one knew where he came from, what they do know is he is what brought mankind to it's refined culture and advanced technology where they now evolved as the superior race now humans. When they were ready the time was right for them to launch to the stars. There the master of the humans expected them to be strong to fight against the hidden evil corrupting them the great evil Chaos. In the travels they encountered aliens. It would have been better if they got along with them were it not for one detail they forgotten. Any non-human can backstab them the moment they find weakness in them. After the betrayal from the aliens they met decisions were finished. They would unleash every act of genocide and emotionally restrained cruel act on every alien they find. No homeworld was safe from capture and only semi-humans were the only okay races in the codex. Should the race be dangerous for them they will nuke the planet with orbital bombardment and rarely virus bombs. They can go as far as destroying the planet to pieces if they feel it's all lost to them or if it's far spread with the evil chaos energy.

Extra Information[]
No longer controlled by the catatonic Emperor of Mankind and its missing Primarchs after holding off the final battle in the Horus Heresy, it's religious government changed itself. Violently run by the inquisition and the military force working in obedience to the rules they have laid out. Those who betray or oppose them were dealt with unusually cold blooded punishments. The punishments can also be a test to see how loyal they are to get through it. Punishments as shown for criminals. Exile forced to fight in another war that the criminals can't possibly win, torture, death sentences in seconds, does not get better when getting lobotomized and turned into a mindless servitor cyborg forced into war that has continued to last for thousands of years. There are barely rights to what it's court can give them and redemption is combat or dying in battle in service to them. It's still small as they would not care for lowing ranked soldiers at all, all it matters is they are no longer a threat.
