Hunter (The Owl House)

Hunter unmasked

Hunter, also know as the Golden Guard, is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside The Collector) of The Owl House. He was the new leader of the Emperor's Coven and Emperor Belos' nephew and right-hand man, who is sent to spy on Luz and Eda in order to make sure they don't cause any more trouble for his uncle.

He is eventually revealed to be a "Grimwalker", an artificial creation made from the Boiling Isles' resources by Belos as the latest in a long line of previous Golden Guards, and abandons Belos after discovering this.

Chapter 5

Amity sees Willow, Gus and Hunter and sees them and that it's good to see them and Willow reveals she was worried sick of Amity and Luz repsectivefully as they were gone for a while. Amity states she was investigating a Bunch of gangsters with the help of her friends and introduces the team to Marcy, Luan, Cricket, Ronnie Anne, Tom, Sasha, Ace, Hilda and G-LO

He has knowledge on Toffee as he was still working for Belos when he noted their temporaily team upand that they had separate goals at the end of the day that put the Boiling Isles in a state of disconcern. Toffee not only had The Blights work with him, he tired assembling a Disney Army to oppose Belos and take over the Demon Realm.

Sasha goes to Tom and G-Lo and states that it was a good thing she betrayed Toffee or she would have died to Belos. Hunter doesn't doubt that and asks about the Mob

Hunter alerts Marcy that Odlaia is present and that this is an opporunity to see what Odalia is up and in case something goes down and Marcy, Luan, Hunter, Amity, Tom and Sasha all follow Odalia to see exactly what she has in mind for them or anyone.

Marcy, Luan, Amity, Sasha and Tom end up going down to the gymnasium and they see Odalia and Lorenzo with The Prankster, Bradford, Black Heroin, Shocker and Fat Cat and they're all taking out some provisions with The Prankster and Odalia's money.

Hunter, Marcy, Luan, Amity, Sasha and Tom who spy comment on this. Amity states that it looks like Prankster has some sense of mercy, Marcy states she and Bender noted this too.

Marcy is too focused as she is watching the them and the provisions and becomes aware that Prankster has ordered monsters for a distraction ploy and asks Amity what kind of monsters would be dangerous to them. Amity states a Ballisk would be very dangerous, Hunter states that is true and Toffee has assess to them as well as magic to do so and Black Heroin is the one who gave this to Toffee

Marcy, Luan, Amity, Tom, Sasha and Hunter keep contact with their eavesdropping and Hunter recongizes what Safrass is doing as does Marcy and Luan. Sasha asks what is exactly and Hunter states that Prankster is trying to build her own way to travel to alternate dimenisons and it looks like a door, Hunter states that's what Belos was planning to do with the human realm. Luan states that what's Marcy told her and Prankster has more of the compartments other than Cleo's powers or DNA to replicate

Marcy, Luan, Tom, Hunter, Sasha and Amity all end returning at the same time to see Odalia leaving and the rest of the team all watching. Alador shakes Amity's hand and states he will try to be a better father to her and he'll work with her and her friends. Amity states what happened and G-lo reveals she talked through to Alador.

To Help the rest of the team after learning the whole deal going from Slade, Anti Cosmo, Bender and Harry. Both Alador and Hunter manage to sneak in the rest of the team with the help of Deathstroke's Associates into the Castle and they make it all the way to the door portal.

Chapter 6

Hunter is contacted by Marcy Wu to help her and Bender deal with The Prankster and her Mob after they shatter the dimenisons with Prankster's machine. He is picked up by Launch Pad like the others.

After bringing Captain Putty to justice and putting Mrs. Saffrass in prison. Kamela is saddened as Lucius's men are finishing work on the door to bring her friends Ace and Hilda back to their alternate multiverse as she grew to really like them and her time with them she treasures. She is told by them that she will be in good hands with the President and the others. She admits this, it still hurts a bit for her though

Chapter 7

Hunter is brought in by Marcy Wu and Bender who got Launchpad to pick up the crew. After the others have made their alliances offical. Hunter joins the entire group and that Slade has his contient and his manor ready.

As Hunter is shown all the other antiquetes, weapons and everything Slade has storen and build for his trouble. Hunter is asked to come with Bender, Marcy, Slade and Anti Cosmo to the basement and Slade shows them his cruiser. Cricket, Ronnie Anne and Libby came along with the 5 and Hunter is put in charge of the ship by Slade.

Hunter questions spefically why him. Slade states that he, AC, Bender and Marcy are all going to need to do a lot respectfully. Slade also knows Hunter can drive as Hunter and Alador were the two who drove them to the White House.

Slade briefs his entire platoon on their entire battle plan as Hunter controls Slade's cruiser and Slade states Hunter will help deal with the scientist who created The Prankster's machine to keep this out of her hands.

Hunter joins King Andiras, Xr, Chip, Dale and Deathstorke's Associates and they manage to easily deal with the Doc, The Don and The Dick as Slade has all intents to keep Carol Lineus from recreating a new machine.

Afterwards, he returns to the ship and with Gus Fring they lead the destruction of The Golden Death Stars Prankster made.

Epilogue

Gus, Willow and Hunter bring in the rest of the mob and their assocaites to the police and they wait on Amity. Willow and Gus are estatic to completed a mission without Luz's help which makes them great about themselves. Hunter is pleased himself, though he states that regarding The Blights that something might go down later on with Odalia and that it won't be good despite what Amity told them, he states Amity should have let Bender and Anti Cosmo kill Odalia.

Amity asks if the three would like to stop at the Newtopia Castle, Marcy has it for the night according to the king. Hunter is recultant while Willow and Gus are willing to and they manage to talk Hunter into joining with the fesitvalie Marcy has planned.

Chang's Guide To The Galaxy

Hunter returns on Marcy's behalf to help Sid, Lisa and the others with his former uncle Emperor Belos and his henchmen as Marcy is the closest to him out of him, Willow and Gus.

Prologue

Marcy secretly sends a S.O.S To Hunter in The Boiling Isles and Hunter comes as Marcy planned and joins up with Glbogor to keep Sid from being killed by Rainbird on Belos's orders.

The Two fight for control with Rainbird who uses his experience as a solider to keep the two on their toes. Hunter and Globgor are there for Marcy to get in contact with Gus Fring and his right hand man Mike to prevent Rainbird from putting a fatal shot in Sid.

As Sid, Kaemla and Deathstroke are communcating with the rest. Marcy has Amity and Hunter call up her associates, Amity is concerned that they left her other family members in The Boiling Isles which is Why Marcy asked her to do so and Amity decides to contact Emric, Emira and her dad.

Marcy tells Hunter that she needs to make sure Belos and Mina can't track their investigation or whatever and that she needs to get the rest of her team and her contacts on this. Hunter agrees to this and does just that.

Chapter 1

When The Blight family minus Odalia is brought back together and Luz questions the empire that Odalia is working to take revenge on alongside them, Hunter brings Luz in the know with the others about Odalia and her feud with Slade, Bender and Anti Cosmo for ruining her reputation when she was working for Toffee and how she tried to invade the former's contient, tried to kill the 2nd person's kid, capture the latter and intentionally stole Amity's magic as punishment for siding with them.

Marcy and The Owl House Crew think out what their go to plan is and Lisa reveals that Eclpisa told her and Sid that they are intending to head to Mewni in case.

Hunter arrives and warns Sid that maybe she won't be able to take on Belos due to his unquestiobale power. Eclpisa says that even Belos has limits, like the Collector and if Sid can stop him, then she will. Hunter, King and even Globogor feel Sid may have some magic ability with the wand, but even so Belos and Mina Loveberry will both kill her and that Eclpisa might be putting too much faith in her.

Sid is told about some info about Belos what Hunter knows, While Hunter feels Sid is no match, he will at least try to push Eclpisa's plan if needed.

Hunter even tells Sid that one of the reasons he wants to stop Belos is to protect his friends mainly Willow. Sid is quick to catch why in this case.

The heroes are all sleep and they attempt to sleep, though Sid, Luz, Amity and Hunter are all having nightmares in their own right

Hunter is having nightmares of Belos trying to kill him, and how he is powerless to save the people he cares and watches Flapjack be murdered by Belos. This doesn't seem to be the only thing though as he is hears his name by called. Vecna descends into a mental plane where he can see Hunter and begins terrorizing Hunter with those thoughts of Belos and is intent to put the fear of Hunter into him. Vecna then continues to torture Hunter with these thoughts and then terrorizes by making them think Vecna is gouging his eyes and breaking his limbs. This is when Hunter wakes up expereinces a brief headache and has a nose bleed. Hunter trys to wake up Luz and Willow about what went through his head

Sid, Luz, Amity and Hunter inform Marcy, Lisa, Eclpisa, Alador, Eldric, Emira, Globgor, Eda, King and Lillith about their nightmares. Lillith and Eclpisa suspect Hunter was haunted by Belos, but Hunter states someone else was there too and it was some kind of being that looked inhuman.

Marcy Wu and The Hexside Gang manage to arrive and see that Sid is being pursed by Rhombolus and The Covens and that they manage to get Sid out of trouble. Marcy questions on what's going, Sid tells Marcy that what she dealt with was real. Luz is left baffled and Sid states someone took her during that night and she was nearly killed by Mina. Marcy, Luz, Sid and the Hexside Crew all proceed to take on Mina Loveberry, Rhomblous

Mason, Hettie Cutburn, Adrian Graye Vernworth, Osran, Terra Snapdragon, Vitimir are joined by The Sorcereess, Rowena, Mina, Kikmora, Carmilla who are here on Belos and Mina's behalf to kill Sid.

Marcy Wu and Luz both see how overkill that everyone is after Sid but Hunter is determined to protect the kid. When questioned by Amity and her family, Hunter addresses Sid means something to Luz and Luz makes him feel like family. Sid, Luz, Marcy Wu, Willow, Gus, Hunter, Eldrric, Emira and Alador all proceed to engage with all the forces and while everyone is doing their darnest to put a good fight and do score a lot of hits in.

It proves not to be enough with All the numbers in their favor with Kikmora's dragons and the spells all the villains know well due to expereince.

Eclpisa, Globgor, Lisa Loud, King, Eda, Lillith and King Andiras all arrive  to save the day with Eda and Lillith both using Luz's ways of magic to stop the covens.

Sid, Lisa, Luz, Marcy Wu, Eda, King, Willow, Gus, Amity, Hunter, Lillith, Edric, Emira, Alador, Eclpisa, Globogr and King Andrias all manage to get on the run. King Andiras, Eclpisa and Globogr all give an assessment that it may be next to impossible to attempt to take back the kingdom with that kind of power. Eclpisa addresses that even with their kind of power, they are outnumbered by Belos's forces and Mina. Amity, Hunter and Luz are asking about the entity that pursued them and that the other heroes are in agreeance on this. Marcy tells the three, she will take care of a lead on this with her connections. Luz and Sid ask about Andiras and Andrias states Marcy is his personal advisor and that both of them share these connections that Marcy is more affilated with.

Marcy, Lisa, Globgor and the rest of the crew come up with their own route and that they must travel to the magic universes so they can acquire enough knowledge and skill on magic to take Mewni Back before dealing with Belos. Luz and co also decide that it may be necessary to find a way to defeat this entity in their nightmares. Marcy will do the investigation part for them as she states.

As King Andiras, Alador, Hunter, Eda, Lillith and the others set a path of their own to get started. Sid, Eclpisa, Luz, Lisa and Marcy Wu are all in contact with the rest of the group

They are told of the Loch Loud Situation and what has happened. With the situation regarding the draon of Loch Loud. Sid, Luz and Marcy Wu decide to make their mind and go looking for some possible help on that too while they're at it.

Chapter 2

Sid, Luz, Eclpisa, Marcy Wu, Lisa, Globgor, Amity, Alador, Edirc, Emira, Gus, Willow, Hunter, Eda, King, Lillith have all landed in the the middle of the ocean. Everyone tries to get a map or destination planned, but they're all lost.

Amity goes to see Marcy and Hunter who are busy on something, The two are looking at a map as they are discussing the 2nd jewel to the calamity box and they can use the next clue to recharge the box and be on their way to get Anne home. Marcy asks Hunter if Belos has any interest in the box, Hunter admits that The Emperor doesn't even know about the Calamity Box and likely won't target her friends if they can discrete, just not Team Free WIll.

Marcy adresses to him that that they may already gotten on his radar by orchresating a near murder on Odalia on Haunted Island

Amity, Edirc, Emira and Alador all ask Marcy and Hunter about the Calamity Box.

Hunter explains that he has a theory that a clue to the next hint to the box is where they're going and Marcy can get that clue to getting closer to charging the 2nd gem and helping Anne and Bender.

Hunter states that he is and he and Marcy will both go and go alone. He wants to make sure Marcy can keep him safe from what's haunting him. The Blights ask Hunter on this again and Hunter just adresses that it's a lich like monster with psychic powers as well, it was like it's able to create mindscapes.

Gus, Luz and Willow watch as they sail to the island and Luz, Willow and Gus stumble onto Marcy's map and Hunter takes it from them saying it's for him, Marcy and The Blights to use. Luz asks what's it for, Hunter answers that it's for her friend.

Marcy, Amity, Hunter, Edlirc, Emira and Alador all manage to reach the ancient temple of Puppnuu which they used Tezekel Kan's move as a distraction. They feel the walls, they read the instructions as Marcy is out to undercover another clue of where to head next. Marcy and Alador avoid the traps being set for them and the fire traps as they look around and lead the others

Amity, Hunter, Eldric and Emira follow behind, however this is the look of the mindscape comes up Amity and Hunter are both adressed by name of a deep voice as they watch this. The arrival of Vecna who's once is here once again. He causes tremendouse headaches to them to weaken their so he can decide to go for the kill. Marcy and Alador call their names, as does Eldric and Emria. Hunter and Amity both freak out as Vecna shapeshifts into Belos and Odalia to try and guilt trip them for hurting them. Hunter and Amity refuse to follow to it, as Alador, Marcy, Eldric and Emira call them out.

Vecna isn't seeable to them as Vecna isn't targeting them but he does use his powers to hold the others from trying to intervere with vines. Marcy avoids them and manages to use the torches to burn the vines, casuing Vecna pain and releasing Amity and Hunter to escape and try to ruin from the mindscapes.

Marcy, Hunter, Amity, Eldric, Emira and Alador all contiune to go through the temple with Alador holding both Amity and Hunter as Marcy, Edirc and Emira continue onwards and they manage to avoid the temple challenges and find the clue

Marcy holding Hunter basically states that Belos is working with that creature but can't figure why. Hunter theorizes that Marcy's friends could be of help and to call them, Marcy asks if she calls her partner or the empire, Hunter states he doesn't care as long as she calls them. Marcy puts a text to them and tells them what's going on.

Hunter asks if Team Free Will knows anything on the creature, Marcy states that not a lot, but feels someone there might be targeted there at some point.

Sid, Lillith and Lisa return with their dragon egg to the others as do Marcy, Amity, Alador, Eldric, Hunter and Emira and they all discuss what went on. Marcy, The Blights and Hunter got their next clue for Marcy's own opeartion.

They also bring up what they saw and that the thing was after them again. This gives Luz concern as well though Marcy informs her that her and the family helped save Amity and Hunter but feels that whatever that lich thing is it won't let up.

Chapter 3

Hunter joins the others in their quest to Brighton as Kamela and Deathstroke need them for help against The Chairman and his ghost henchmen. He follows suit however this is when things go bad and quick.

Similar to Amity, Hunter is targeted by Vecna and is tormented by his Grimwalker status and Belos's abuse. Hunter does his darnest to fight back against this as Willow goes after him to save him.

Willow uses her plant powers to save Hunter and fight Vecna off so he isn't killed by him as he leviates. Hunter is almost killed and Willow alongside him until Marcy manages to arrive and save them and Amity from his hold.

Afterwards, Hunter isn't in a good spot like Amity and they decide that they need to find a way to keep themselves safe from Vecna, Amity tells him that she did overhear that Music might be a way to do so as she did hear from Luz's friends that it's a way to do so. Hunter admits he has never heard music that much due to how he lived, so he's a goner.

Marcy and Sid do offer comfort in this by having him and the others come with the two to Hogwarts to learn advanced magic and all that. He joins more reculantly questioning how this will help keep the demon at bay. He understands how it will stop Belos to be more expereinced though asks Eclpisa if Sid is capable and the latter says she believes in her apprentice.

Chapter 4

With Eclipsa and her assignments in mind, she decides to send the crew their own ways with Hunter joining Kamela and Bianca in heading their own way. Eclipsa gives Hunter a staff of his own to use against the forces of Belos's empire as to help him out with all this.

Hunter unlike Kamela, Bianca and even Luz and Amity. Hunter becomes aware of Vecna's presence and that something is in wait to go after him. He recognizes it from what happened to him at the temple. Hunter is distracted by this as he is waiting for when the being is going to make his move or Belos for that record.

His distraction tendency puts him in danger against other beings apart from Vecna. Lupins, Spiders and more proceed to go after him, Bianca and Kamela, they are lucky enough to escape from them all. That is when Carmilla and her vampire army arrive to go after them and eat them. Hunter is specifically targeted by Carmilla who tries to eat him and suck his blood despite what Kikmora and Belos want. Hunter is lucky that he's a grimwalker as it makes him safe from her drinking his luqids.

Hunter then throws off Carmilla off him and then assists the girls in getting away and taking out the vampire army Carmilla and leaves while finding enchanted items as well which the trio acquire for Eclipsa.

Hunter presents them to Eclipsa who stores in her magic bag, this is when Odalia and the Magic High Comission ambush the crew. Hunter himself finds himself targeted by Vecna who decides to claim him just like Luz and Amity. With Luz and the other Hexside gang other than Willow and Gus distracted it's up to them to save him from Vecna. This almost leads him to getting killed until Gus using his illusionary magic to switch him and Hunter and it's Gus who gets the fate at Vecna's hand. Hunter and Willow manage to ressuciate Gus with Luz's help, but learn he was comatose from it.

Hunter thanks Gus for saving him from Vecna, and wishes it didn't happen like that. However before he can try anything, Hunter is tied up by the Commission and Odalia.

Chapter 5

Hunter deducts quickingly that something is amiss with Odalia and that if Luz talked her out of sending Amity, then that's not the real plan. He is then contacted by Darius that he, Raine and Eberwolf have found their location and are on their way to get him out of danger from what Belos is going to do possibly to them.

He is proven right when he is saved by Slade's empire and Bender who shared the sentiment Hunter did as well as Slade managed to get the info out of Luz like he suspected. Hunter decides to fight against Belos's allies that he has in his steed and this is when the 3 coven heads show help to send their foes running off. Despite having no magic, Hunter does what he can to help everyone off.

After this all happens, Hunter watches Slade's forces place Gus in a hospital bed so they can track things. Which Willow notices as well as he does. Hunter and Willow talk with Amity and the thrree back a choice to just tell Slade and Bender about Vecna and explain what he did on top of the attempt he make on the former two and Luz's life. Hunter finds join the crew to go after Belos and Vecna more determined to save his brother like figure and best friend Gus as it feels like Slade and his empire may have a way to save Gus.

Chapter 6

Hunter joins up with Luz, Bender and Slade's crew to go looking for the next part of Marcy's Calamity Box charge planning. He heads with Luz and Sid to go a temple of their own. However he finds himself possessed by Belos who decides to use this to go after Luz, Bender and the others in secret. Belos keeps this under wraps until everyone is noticeably successful with their temple hunting and this is when Hunter is taken control by Belos. Hunter's body is used by Belos to attack Hero, Luz and Vee as the others are dealing with his allies.

Hunter is eventually freed from his possession by the others and unconsciousness. Luz and the others keep him safe and protect them form Vecna who also tries to kill him and Luz as well. The Group manages to get Hunter from getting killed and brought to safety.

He is seen by Camilla and Willow with the latter especially trying to make sure he's okay. Hunter does wake up to Willow and Camilla and is thankful they're here and holds Willow's pinkie in turn.

They get back and tell the others that Hunter is feeling better now. Now they must head to Hexside to prepare to fight Belos after the others reveal they got their hands on who can ultimately help.

Chapter 7

Hunter and the others arrive in Hexisde and touch base with Team Free Will. The others all arrive and Hunter works with Luz to lead the Owl House citizens against Belos

Chapter 8

Hunter goes after the Belos Side and helps them get to Belos. He and Willow work together and confess how much they mean to each other before being saved from their attack and are saved by Darius as they pass out.

Finale

- He recovers and learns Sid, Luz, Marcy, Bender, Lisa, Anti Cosmo, Slade, Eclpisa, King and Ford managed to stop Belos and the Collector and then He attends Esclipsa and Globgor's memorial

Entropized

Part 4

Hunter is with XL, Scrooge McDuck and King Andiras who await Marcy and Hailey about what they looked into in regards of the Calamity Box. The group did a good enough amount of digging to look into things and they found a major clue and it was where they need to start and it's in Texas.

Part 8

XL, Amity, Hunter and Scrooge all get back with Marcy and help her look into what they all looked into and arrive where Deathstroke sent Pop Pop, Sterling, Beckett and Myrtle in the future. The Gang all observe the area and realize what has happened here is very much akin to what happened a long time ago when Toffee and Bill Cipher started Weirdmagedon as well as the other instances of time going amuck. Upon getting the info, they and Marcy hand Bender the info they found though are quick to insure the info is emailed in slience to him.

Part 9

Hunter helps Marcy undercover info on the time breaching info they all have under covered when it came to the instances that occurred including the ones Marcy got involved in.

Chapter 4

Hunter and the rest of the Mar Mar Gang meet up back with Bender, Anti Cosmo and Marcy after everything they had to deal with and also learn of the Zebron Brotherhood who are after him where they receive the help of Marvin and Rocket Racoon to deal with. Later on, Hunter has something important to tell the team of what he and the group have found

Chapter 5

This discovery links back to the events that occured plenty of times ago, Hunter can confirm that it was no conicdence what happened with Lizbeth during Weirdmagedon, as well what happened 3 other times. Someone was going around causing time disruptions and that this has been happening for some unspoken reason. Hunter shares his theory that someone is out to change the timeline or at least trying to set the present they are in wrong so things will work out to someone's end. This resonates with the B Team as they are considering this themselves.

Book 2: Interlude

Hunter meets up with Marcy, Libby and Luz as the former two had him and his allies help in trying to find the Calamity Box's final gem to recharge for Marcy's own investment which he is able to do before letting Marcy and Libby return back to the others with Luz.

Book 3: Culmination

Hunter learns of Marcy's own potential demise from Libby and he joins up with the rest of the Mar Mar Gang to help deal with King Andrias who betrayed their trust for some reason that Libby, Bender and Anti Cosmo can only describe as something from his past. Anne's Calamity Powers are also mentioned and Hunter says that it could be key to dealing with King Andiras and that if Anne has them, what if Sasha and Marcy do as well and Hunter decides to get his own powers ready and helps train Anne for the upcoming invasion that Andiras has planned as being told by Luan, Bender, Anti Cosmo, Sprig, Anne and Libby.
