Though undeniably young and reckless, prone to jump into any situation feet first at a moment's notice, Hotshot was a natural warrior. Optimus Prime was one of the first to recognize his potential when others had more or less given up in exasperation.
Optimus even sees Hotshot as having leadership skills. Hotshot is a fast thinker and even a fast doer, and...with the right guidance...Optimus thinks Hotshot will go far.
At present, the battles for the Mini-Cons and battle against Unicron have seasoned and tempered Hotshot, revealing a skilled warrior with true leadership credentials. However, he does enjoy seeking thrills every now and again.
