Heracross is a large, beetle-like Pokemon from the Johto region. It is a dual Bug/Fighting type Pokemon, a unique kind of Pokemon. Heracross has no known evolutions nor any pre evolved forms.
It also has the ability to Mega evolve.
Ash Ketchum caught a Heracross during his journey through the Johto region. However, the one that he caught has an uncontrollable habit of sucking on sap every chance that it gets, which became another running gag in the anime.
Ultimate Story[]
Aside from Ash, Link, Rayman and Mario are known to each own a Heracross. All 4 of them sometimes tend to do a group Mega Evolution of their Heracross in unison.
Phase 4
Lydia owns one as part of her Johto Team which she obtained by using Headbutt on the trees. It's along her Typhlosion her most reliable pokemon and a pokemon she has a personal peference to using it for the Bug Catching Contest and using for Gym Battles consistently taking out the infamous Whitney's Miltank and Clair's Kingdra in 1 on 1s after the rest of her Pokemon went down.
