Haralon Verthusa was Grave Warden of loyalist Death Guard who was born on Barbarus and serve Emperor of Mankind and Imperium of Man

Appearance[]

  • Armor: His armor is a masterpiece of artifice and duty. While it shares the bulky, intimidating silhouette of standard Grave Warden plate, it is not festering with decay. Instead, it is weathered, battered, and coated in thick layers of grim and soot from a thousand battlefields. The once-gleaming white of his legion has become a mottled, dark gray, but the iconography of the Imperial Aquila and other loyalist symbols are meticulously, if grimly, maintained.
  • Aura of Pestilence: Despite his loyalty, Haralon is still a son of Barbarus. His very presence carries the heavy, fungal odor of his home world. While not the active, contagious plague of his corrupted kin, it is a constant, melancholy reminder of his legion's fate and his own mortality.
  • Physical Form: Within the armor, Haralon is gaunt and pale, a common trait for natives of Barbarus. However, his eyes hold a deep and profound sadness, reflecting the unending sorrow of his lost brothers. His flesh is tough and unnaturally resilient, a trait developed in the poisonous atmosphere of his homeworld and further enhanced by his gene-seed.

Weapons[]

  • The Mournful Toll (Power Scythe): Haralon wields a man-sized power scythe, reminiscent of his Primarch Mortarion's personal weapon. However, his is not for spreading plague but for reaping the souls of the corrupted. It is a powerful melee weapon capable of cutting through ceramite and flesh with equal ease, its power field crackling with pure, sanctified energy. The scythe is a symbol of his duty to end suffering, even if it means bringing death.
  • Barbarus's Breath (Assault Grenade Launcher): Mounted on his wrist, this is a modified version of the alchemical grenade launchers his legion was famous for. Instead of plague, it fires specialized rounds. One type contains highly concentrated promethium for purging heretics with holy flame, while another fires solid-core munitions to destroy armor and structures.
  • The Cleansing Gauntlet (Power Fist): Haralon's other hand is equipped with a heavy power fist. Unlike the bludgeoning weapons of other Space Marines, this gauntlet contains a powerful flamer. The weapon is used to immolate the unholy and destroy any remnants of corruption after a battle, "cleansing" the battlefield for the Emperor.
