Gruntilda Winkybunion (often called Grunty for short) is the main antagonist of the Banjo-Kazooie series. She is a wicked witch with magical spells that are capable of doing anything, even going as far as death. She also enjoys rhyming, which really annoys Grunty's three sisters somehow. Grunty also keeps her spells in a book named Cheato, who doesn't enjoy Grunty's plan of becoming beautiful and decides to help Banjo and Kazooie.

Gruntilda called on the phone and said she wanted to join Kingpin's alliance and the boss himself told her, what's in it for him? Grunty responded that she can bring magical items into his alliance if he was so kind to accept her offer, that way criminals can use her book of spells to counterattack against the advancements of technology with magic. Kingpin seeing that as a useful asset, gave her a warm welcome to his team and purchased Grunty Industries to be brought to his group along with the Guvnor workers to fix all of his machinery that would be broken. Her ideal voice actor is Chris Seavor.
