The Gravemind is a character and villain from the Halo Universe. He also bears some resemblance to Audrey II from Little Shop Of Horrors.
He is the maker of a horrible race known as "The Flood." They're a lot like zombies, only ones with intelligence.
The only thing that destroyed them was Halo and it did by killing all life in the galaxy thus getting rid of their food. The Gravemind help Master Chief stopped the 2nd Halo Ring from firing and it was thanks to him The Arbiter join the side of good.
The Gravemind later returned and joined in the finale push to stop the Covenant but he betrayed shortly after killing Truth though he waited til Truth was dead before that.
He met his end when Master Chief fired an incomplete Halo Ring that would destroy the Flood and not all life in the Galaxy
Gravemind has a skew sense of things and sincerely believes that he simply is bringing peace and prosperity to a galaxy which simply doesn't understand the Flood due to ignorance and fear.
Gravemind was brought back to life and is a member of Discord's allegiance known as The Dystopia League. Gravemind will be a great alley to Discord and he will often work with Dr. Loboto.
The Multi-Universal War of Destiny[]
Discord recruits Gravemind and after learning his story and encounter with the Spartan John 117. Discord plays to his want to get even with him thing and has him go after Gravemind's old enemies Master Chief and The Arbiter.
Gravemind is sent alongside Hannibal Bean and Clarence to go attack the Helper Squad but he meets Asura, T-1000, Syndrome after Discord gives them the profiles on the Immortal Faction traitors. Although he was defeated he escaped the Sigma Organization's clutches and infected Asura and Syndrome with the flood and reported back to Discord. Gravemind then leads an attack on The V Crusaders and he is fed by Yakvone feeding him brothers Mako and Bolin. He was driven off by the others
Gravemind was eventually defeated by Master Chief and Arbiter again and possibly destroyed.
