Freckles is a character from the Red vs Blue.
Freckles is a UNSC HRUNTING/YGGDRASIL MKVI Armor Defense System, or Mantis for short, that was found and rebuilt by Caboose and took Freckles in as his pet.
Caboose states that Freckles "runs on the power of the friendship of our[their] love".
As of Season 12 Episode 18, Freckles' sentience was transfered into Caboose's Assault Rifle (pictured above).
He is one of the pure robotic type characters in Red vs Blue, others being Sheila(F.I.L.S.S.), Lopez, Lopez 2.0, and Andy.
