A bitter argument occurred in front of St. Peter's Balisica between Pope Matthai Reese and Fiamma of the Right between Vatican's alignment in World War III.
Matthai: So, let's put it in straight way. You mean Eckidina KnightWalker had been using some sort of... scientific and powerful alien weapon to wage war, and now she had allied with Junko Enoshima, who had been missing for nearly two year prior to World War III?
Fiamma: Sire, I know you don't believe it since it sounds unbelievable...
Matthai: Unbelievable? It's worse than that. IT SOUNDS INSANE!
Fiamma: But it's true! Your Holiness, you have to believe me!
Matthai: Believe you? How can I believe you? You built a faction and tried to control me.
Fiamma: We are trying to protect you!
Matthai: Don't you know you are trying to plunge our place into World War III? We should be neutral.
Fiamma: Neutral, yes, fine, and take a look at what happened to the LibertyCity and many more neutral areas years ago!
Matthai: You should listen to me!
Fiamma: Never, you are stubborn, dimwitted and full of cowardice, and our Church had paid too much for it. It is a time to reach a new era!
Matthai: Oh, really? You arrogant fool, if you think one day you will succeed, why don't you lead us?!
Fiamma: Maybe one day I will.
Matthai: In your dreams!
Fiamma: All respect, Your Holiness... if we don't fight against KnightWalkers, the Faith will lose.
After Fiamma had left, Pope Matthai Reese was standing in a hall along. A hooded and shadowy figure sneaked in and walked to pope and stood behind him.
???: Your Holiness?
Matthai: What...
All of a sudden, the Pope was hit by a stick to the head and fainted. He collapsed on the ground. The mysterious figure, who had succeeded in attacking the Pope, threw the stick in his hand away and sneaked towards a large box. He opened it 3 seconds later. Inside, there was a large black book.
???: That's it... after so many years of searching.
The figure deviously smiled and took the book. Before going away, the figure threw a wallet on the ground and escaped, just as several church members broke in as they heard the attack.
Holy knight: Who is there!? Show yourself!!!
The figure promptly jumped out of the window and swung himself onto the roof, escaping. The guards could not catch the person.
The three girls went away, and no one dared to mumble ills of La Folia. The misunderstanding was over. After the Catholic sorcerers left, Rentaro and Asuha was utterly confused and decided to follow and know what had happened. They both overlooked La Folia, Katarina and Mana's talking in the canteen.
Katarina: La Folia, what exactly happened?
La Folia: Something important went missing...
Katarina: Why didn't you tell those Catholics?
La Folia: OH! I WAS TOO SHOCKED THAT I FORGOT! WHAT A FOOL I AM!
Rentaro: There is no use to feel sorry for yourself, La Folia.
La Folia turned and was surprised to see Rentaro and Asuha. Asuha went near the three girls and sat on the remaining empty seat of their table. Rentaro just stood beside them.
La Folia: How did you...?
Asuha: (shook her hands) La Folia, your matters do matter to us. We are friends. Now, the KnightWalkers are rampaging like a group of mad dogs. Now, we need to know what happened.
Rentaro: The Roman Catholic Church controls many things connected to faith and virtue. If they were overthrown by a KnightWalker, then people will lose their faith.
La Folia: Listen... I know we are classmates, but I do not want to force you to be involved in this trouble. There's been so much pain and despair...
Asuha: Pain? Despair? I don't care anymore.
Katarina: Asuha and Rentaro are right. Please, La Folia, tell us, tell ALL of us... for all of our sake.
La Folia: *Sighed* Very well. Days after the Ripper Murders, I visited Adam and asked for a favor. He helped me to get false identities for us. We then managed to forge some special cards that can make things go better.
Katarina: What is the cards' usage?
La Folia: With those cards and under personas that no one can even recognize, we can get permission from Misogi to be a visitor, so that we can breach the security of KnightWalker HQ... and take down Eckidina as fast as we could. I hid the cards in my wallet alongside my ID card, but it wasn't there.
Katarina: So, what do you think the criminal is gonna do? Take down Eckidina by himself?
Mana: Hope he is not going to work for her. Sounds like he is a smart and deadly man.
Rentaro: Yeah, it will be dangerous if he is working partners with Eckidina... like Junko and Ultimate Despair did. Looks like a new evil is rising.
Vatican (2036)[]
In Vatican, sitting in his chair after knowing the news, Fiamma grinned as he finally seized the chance to plunge Roman Church into World War III and so he immediately phoned someone else.
Fiamma of the Right: Call God's Right Seat for a meeting. Looks like we are in trouble.
Agent (phone): *Yes, sir.*
Fiamma: (hung up the phone) Soon, the war shall begin. The Roman Catholic Church does not matter. Well, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t thinking of Christian society in a broader sense, but at the core, my actions are for myself. Also, I am not the cause of this war. It may be true that I pulled the trigger, but the spiral of anger, resentment, jealousy, and other negative emotions at the base of this war is nothing more than what had already taken root in people all over the world. If not, the flames of war would not have spread in such a short time no matter how violently I had tried to stir up war. I am an indulgence. As long as they are able to claim they did something because they were ordered to and not because they truly wanted to, people can let out what lies inside them no matter how inhuman it may be. That is just how ugly the creatures known as humans are.
KnightWalker Family HQ (2036)[]
In the HQ of KnightWalker Family, Eckidina was drinking coffee while looking at her newspaper, reporting the failed assassination against the Pope. She was smiling darkly while reading it, but her face soon changed when she read that La Folia was released and was not taken to Vatican.
Eckidina: LA FOLIA GOES FREE?! HOW COULD SHE POSSIBLY BE!? ARGH!
In frustration, Eckidina threw the newspaper on the ground, but then she had noticed a hooded stranger standing in front of her, with Misogi Kumagawa beside him. She was utterly surprised by this unannounced guest.
Eckidina: Who is this?
Misogi: He is just someone who wanted to see you, Eckidina. I tried to stop him but he insisted that he talk with you. He showed me our visitor card... so I invited in. (walked back) Go, and I won't be a third wheel.
Eckidina: Uh...
Unknown Person: Milady Eckidina, the most gracious one, please calm down. I am just a normal person. I am not here for any fight... just a deal; a deal that can make you rise to power.
Eckidina: How do you know me? Why should I make a deal with you like this? I had a deal with a winged elf once, but I broke it, willingly. You don't want me to break it right? Because... I would be glad to do it! Once upon a time, there was three brothers, the eldest named A Rogue, the second named A Knife and the youngest named Trouble. One day, the little brother went missing, and his two older brothers go looking for him village by village, but no one would like to help merely because the oldest brother said something.
Unknown Person: What did the oldest brother say?
Eckidina: He simply said... "I am A Rogue. Here, I take A Knife and I am looking for Trouble." (make a funny face)
Misogi: (amused) Oh... (giggling)
Unknown Person: (not amused) Get lost. You're not funny. You mean I am a rogue with a knife who is looking for troubles? Look into my eyes, not above them, not around them, but deep into their center, and you will know I am not a rogue, and I have no knife, and I AM NOT LOOKING FOR TROUBLE! If there is any trouble, well, you... will be in it.
Eckidina: Oh, you are kind of a tough cookie.
Unknown Person: Seriously, I am tough... but I am not a cookie.
Eckidina: Okay, then what do you want?
Unknown Person: Hmm... Interesting. You are my type of good companion.
The fearless attitude of this unknown figure had made Eckidina surrender, and the person was satisfied about this.
Unknown Person: I am here to present you a gift... A gift for you to defeat your enemy - Katarina Couteau. It is in this bag... and I will show it to you.
Eckidina: Now, finally, when you show me that thing... Will you tell me your name? Who are you?
The unknown figure smiled as he opened his bag, revealing a large magic book. Eckidina had noticed that the person had six fingers on each of his hands - twelve fingers in all.
Unknown Person: My name is not important, but this is. Behold... The Grand Grimoire.
Eckidina: Grand Grimoire? (looked at the man with surprise) It was your idea, right? You framed La Folia and ambushed the Pope himself. It's brilliant!
The person smiled as he gave Eckidina a letter. Eckidina started to read it. It was the declaration of war coming from Roman Church.
Unknown Person: You will find out that I am even more brilliant than you think... after you read this letter. What do you think?
Eckidina: (after reading the letter) Absurd, the Vatican planned to declare war on me... They are so naive! How did you get those letters?
Unknown Person: I killed a messenger and got it from him. The Church is so naive, yes, but it is tempting me to rule it. Listen, we need to work together. I am going to change history by summoning a dark power all by myself to please a Demon King so that I can gain his support to win my legend... and before that, I promise you that I will get rid of Katarina and her friends for you.
Eckidina: Oh, yeah? For what prize?
Unknown Person: The reward is for another time. Now, to make those bugs disappear, you need to use this spell... named "Traveler's Spell."
Eckidina: Traveler's Spell... Isn't that a spell of time travel?
Unknown Person: Yes, it is. You will send them to the New Year of 2013, to a place called Sleepy Hollow... and then Later, I will go there as well and destroy them for you.
Eckidina: Where's the fun in that?
Unknown Person: Think of it. It is not just a different time. It is a completely different world. By the way, I need to do some work before I go there. At that time, I will visit you once again and you need to return the book back to me... since I only lent it to you. Farewell.
Eckidina: Wait, who are...
The person did not answer and went away like a wind. Looking at the Grand Grimoire, Eckidina smiled but Misogi was a bit of annoyed and scared.
Misogi: What a strange man he is... He looked as mad as a Hatter. He dared to attack the Pope!
Eckidina: But he is interesting. I believe I will discover his true identity one day, but fortunately... I have a new weapon even if only for a while, and now I will find Katarina and cast the Traveler's spell on her. That will be funny to see her in another dimension. Then, our new friend will do the work for us... to take Katarina down when she is utterly confused. Confusion will be a big problem for her.
Misogi: If that spell is for time travel... then it may change the timeline itself...
Eckidina: Sure it may change.
Misogi: ... And it may even change you and me... This is not impossible. We might be changed because of the plan! THIS IS CRAZY AS HELL ITSELF!
Eckidina: Not us, Misogi-Chan... Never ever.
In fear, Misogi felt horrified while Eckidina laughed in sheer insanity. Then, Misogi's look became darker. He narrowed his eyes and made himself a fake smile on his face.
Misogi: (mumbling to himself) No... what if he changed the history? Misogi, You cannot trust him. What if "you"... die tomorrow?
Misogi was smiling, but in reality, his heart was filled with fear, fear of this mysterious and horrible stranger. Suddenly, he came up with an idea. Then, with a real evil grin, Misogi said to the visitor in his own mind.
Misogi: (thinking) Now, our strange visitor... what if YOU die tomorrow? Then I'll be not afraid of you anymore. Heh...

Act 1 (2036) - Attack on Rome[]
Misogi: Aw, no, no, no... that really hurts!
Tenguu City[]
Misogi was beaten by Eckidina for ambushing the Unknown Grand Grimoire Figure in a club. A few hours ago, Misogi took a knife and followed the Unknown Figure into a club and saw him buying whiskey. Misogi attempted to attack the man, but he was discovered, and when the Unknown Figure merely glared at him... simply like being pushed by an unknown force, Misogi was thrown out of the bar and damaged his nose.
Eckidina had acknowledged this and she "taught" Misogi a "lesson" with what she called "family rule".
Eckidina: Misogi, why did you attack our new companion? What's wrong with your nose?
Misogi: (unclear voice) I suspected that he was on to something so I followed him into a "cwub", but...
Misogi attempted to say the word "club" but he cannot say the L clearly, so he could only say "cwub". Hearing this, Junko Enoshima beside Eckidina cackled like a total psychopath.
Junko: Cwub? What the Hockey Pockey is a "cwub"?
Misogi: I did not say "cwub", Junko. I meant to say "cwub" (club).
Junko: That's the same thing! What are you trying to say? Look at Misogi-Chan, Eckidina, he said "cwub". No one knows what a "cwub" is, right? What the "cwub" did you say, Misogi?
Misogi: (annoyed) "Cwub" (Club)!
Eckidina: Silence! Misogi-chan, you disobeyed me. Do you really think that you can be free to do anything you want? Over my dead body.
Misogi: But, hello, he attacked a clergy in Rome.
Junko: Hello?! So was I! (start babbling) That's why the Church is hunting behind my back and chase me. There is also risks to get into trouble of being caught. This is nonsense, Misogi. Now, our Mr. Unknown, if I can call him so, sent us a letter from Rome where he went there after you attacked him! In the letter, the man wanted us to go to Rome for a trip and we will be on stage as a star. We will sneak into a charity fair operated by the Catholic Church, a good place to spread pain and despair. I don't know about the exact motive of this purpose but I find it interesting, so... Misogi, are you in, or in, or in?!
Junko's words equals, "There is no options for you but 'in', Misogi." so Misogi had to agree in case of being beaten down for the third time.
Misogi: (unwillingly) OK, I am in. I always dreamed that I will go to Rome. This is the time for our greatest time ever.
Eckidina: (touched a irritated Misogi's hair like babysitting some sort of child) Behave~~❤❤❤
Rome, Italy[]
The KnightWalkers began their next move in Rome to take actions in retaliation of Roman Catholic Church's actions.
Unwillingly, Misogi had to do what the Unknown Figure said for Eckidina's sake, even if he did not want to. So, under his suggestion, Misogi went to Rome and led a serial attack. During two days, he led a group of KnightWalker Family soldiers and attacked several places.
One day, under the Unknown Figure and Eckidina's advice, Misogi targeted a school bus and attacked it. After driving all of the children out from the bus, Misogi and his men put a opened grande inside a priest's hand and burned down the bus. An old nun was yelling and screaming for mercy.
Misogi: Hold it tightly since it is about your life. Now, with apologies, children of Rome, I advice you not to blame us. Blame that cowardly Pope. He brought that assassination all on himself, and now since we had know that the Church had declared War on us, we will take actions first. Now, the Holy See need a new leader, one that can fight us or one that can serve us, not one that hides himself from us! Make the Church know they need a papal election.
Old nun: Please, have mercy!
Misogi: Eckidina KnightWalker sends her regards.
The KnightWalkers went away, leaving people around screaming in fear. Then, the priest accidentally dropped the grande and it fell on the ground, exploded.
Tenguu City[]
"Ms. La Folia Rihavein, I heard your winter vacation is coming, and I plan to fix the distress we have made due to our reckless acts. Recently, we have prepared a charity fair in City Hall of Rome where anyone who were permitted could attend. I think we will fix things for you with this charity. I had heard that you and your friends want to go to Rome to investigate However, be careful since the KnightWalkers are fighting back. Sincerely yours, Acqua the Back, the man who solved the misunderstanding"
Days before Thanksgiving, Acqua of the Back returned to Raizen High School and gave a student a letter, letting him to give it to La Folia. After having received the letter of which they could travel to Rome and attended a charity fair, La Folia was surprised. She had found a chance to get deep into Rome and investigate the mysterious person who had framed her.
Katarina, however, did not fancy the idea. They discussed this at their house.
Katarina: I know you want to go to Rome and search for the real assassin, but in a name of attending some so-called parties... Shall be absurd.
La Folia: It's a charity fair, not a party. Katarina, please, I know you are still missing Eugen... but after everything we had suffered, we need to have a happy time even if for a while, and I'll never forget our true mission. Also, Rome is closer to the Vatican, making it easier to investigate about the attack. Acqua the Back also sent us four plane tickets. You, I, Mana and Rentaro or Asuha can join us.
Katarina: Rentaro had more plans, so I think he cannot come.
La Folia: OK, so I think Asuha will come with us.
Katarina and La Folia turned to Asuha who was eating cookies on her chair. Asuha then noticed this and looked at them with confusion.
Asuha: What?
Rome[]
The girls soon went to Rome by plane next day, and they arrived at the airport where Acqua waited to pick them up. Acqua drove them to a hotel for reservation and then Acqua gave Katarina and her friends his phone number.
Acqua: This is my phone number, my friends. Call me whenever you need some help. I might be busy today, but I will arrive at the scene if situation went urgent.
La Folia: Thank you, Acqua.
Katarina: (to La Folia) Are you really sure we can count on him?
La Folia: You saw what he did to help us out from the distress, Katrina. Don't be so cynical.
Katarina: (shrugging her shoulders) Okay... as long as he is trustworthy.
City Hall of Rome[]
La Folia's dress on charity fair.
The limelight's flashes in streets of Rome and the first night of November, 2036, had come to Italy. The City Hall is full of guests, rich and poor, clergies and politicians, men and women, young and old. Katarina, La Folia, Mana and Asuha, dressing in nice clothes, had attended the charity fair under the Holy See's permission. La Folia went into the hall smiling. However, Katarina seemed reluctant.
Katarina: I just don't want to come to Rome like this. The fair is a waste of time.
La Folia: We had a deal, didn't we, Katarina? It's a part of which we investigate the assassin. Perhaps he is hiding among the guests, but I hope he will not spoil this fun night. Many of the attendants here are patrons to the local charity. I assume it will be a nice fair. Besides... there's gonna be a magician... (childishly giggled) and you like magicians, don't you?
Katarina: No, I don't. I hate magicians.
La Folia: You know what I said of being pleasant---
???: Excuse me.
A voice had appeared behind the girls and they all turned back, seeing a man, with dark hair and robed in black, was standing near them smilingly. It seemed like he is in his 20's.
???: I'm Michael Langdon, the Bishop of New Orleans. Ms. Rihavein, I had come to Rome this morning to attend the charity fair. Acqua of the Back had mentioned you to me, and I saw you and thought...
La Folia: Of course, it's very nice to meet you. (shook hands with the Bishop) This is my friends, Katarina Coteau, Mana Takamina and Asuha Chigusa.
Katarina: It's an honor to meet you, Bishop Langdon.
Michael: The honor is mine. Famous Katarina Coteau, the legendary Red-Haired-Demon, that's a turn up.
Katarina is kind of... "dead"... again?
Katarina: (dismayed) Uh...
Michael: (immediately changed) Or should I just call you... Katarina if you like? Take no offense.
Katarina: OK, thanks. Call me Katarina, please.
Michael: All right, so, I had heard about you and admired you for a long time. I'm sorry that our Church had troubled you girls for our rash actions.
Katarina: That's OK. How is His Holiness doing since the attack on St. Peter's Ballisca? All respect, I was thinking I should call him and giving him advice. I heard that he was in an ambiguous attitude on the war against KnightWalkers. I just want to advice him to join forces against the KnightWalker Family... and help him to find the assassin.
Michael: He'd appreciate that. In fact, rumors has that His Holiness wanted peace while many others wanted war. Our Church is secretly divided and breaking into pieces, and that worried me, but I hope it will return back to normal. In fact, even though many around me prefer war, I prefer peace. Even so, since KnightWalkers had gone too far these days to made us feel hurts, I will agree to declare war if the war is the only way to solve the problem. Thanks for your concern, Katarina.
Katarina: It's my pleasure.
Suddenly, Katarina had noticed a familiar figure in the fair with lilac hair and purple eyes. She recognized the person as Kirigirl Kyouko, the Ultimate Detective. She then made an excuse to leave.
Katarina: Can I get you something to drink, Bishop?
Michael: Uh, just water, please. Thank you.
Katarina then left. La Folia started to chat with the Bishop. She had found out that this man is very polite and soft. He is neither as rude as Vento of the Front nor as serious as Acqua of the Back. He often gave smiles while talking as well. La Folia felt that this young bishop is charming and well-educated. That made her feel safe.
La Folia: So.. I hear that there's gonna be a magician.
Meanwhile, Katarina had found Kyouko wandering among the guests as if she is looking for something, and then Katarina clapped the detective's shoulder so that she could notice her.
Kyouko: Katarina? Why are you here?
Katarina: We've attending this fair and finding the culprit of the recent attack against the Pope himself. Why are you here? Adam told us that you were on your way to Novosic Kingdom in search for Sonia Nevermind.
Kyouko: I am. I've been recently arrived in Rome and was about to leave at least tomorrow for Novosic Kingdom. I have heard that KnightWalkers are attacking Rome against the Church, so I think I can find about Sonia's whereabouts from them.
Katarina: This is too dangerous even for you. I can handle KnightWalkers, but what about you? I don't think it will be safe. This place is very dangerous. Who knows if a KnightWalker can hide among these guests? Even if they are here seemly for good cause, I'm still worried.
Kyouko: I don't care. I am afraid of nothing.
Katarina: Okay... By the way, La Folia said there's gonna be a magician.
Kyouko: Sorry, I'm busy working... and I never like magicians. Enjoy it yourself. See you around, Katarina.
Kyouko then left. Katarina then get a glass of water for Bishop Langdon and left for him too.
In the hotel near the City Hall[]
While the Unknown Grand Grimoire Figure lurking himself somewhere in Rome, the rest of KnightWalkers are prepared for actions as well. Eckidina, Junko, Misogi and others disguised themselves as ordinary citizens and hid inside the same hotel where Katarina and her friends checked in (without realizing it) later that evening. Preparing for her own show and with a crown on her head, Junko was well dressed, sitting on a sofa and smiling behind Eckidina, while the latter observed the City Hall nearby with a vicious grin.
Junko: So doesn't the man want to share his current plan in Rome?
Eckidina: Remember I told you I could divine what thing a person truly wants? It is their own goods. Humans are all selfish... and our "John Doe" is selfish, too. He does not share his plan with us. He only wants us to do what he said to cause fear and chaos so that we can scare the Church. That does not matter, though. Tonight, I am going to give them fear and chaos.
Junko: What about Katarina? From the window, I just saw her heading towards the City Hall and I reckon that she participate the fair as well...
Eckidina: As for Katarina... as long as I ambushed them after the very same time that we left, at the right time... we will send them to a different time and then let our new friend do his plan and pursuit his papacy. I hope we can bring the Church under our control via him. Now, shall we go to the fair and plan on our next move? Our "Mr. Unknown", alongside Mukuro and Misogi, went on ahead.
Smilingly, Eckidina held Junko's hand and went out with her in an aristocratic manner.
Eckidina: Great crown.
City Hall[]
Back in the party, the attendants from Catholic Church also included Fiamma of the Right. The members of God's Right Seat hid their identity and presented themselves as the normal clergies, so hardly anyone knew Fiamma's identity other than people really close to him. While La Folia was chatting with Michael Langdon, Fiamma was chatting with Bishop Busoni, the mayor of Rome and Lidvia Lorenzetti.
Mayor: Come on. Tell us.
Fiamma: I'm sorry, but really, there is no mystery. We have odds on alignments, me and His Holiness, and that's all.
Busoni: (to Lidvia) Lidvia, have you met Fiamma of the Right? (to Fiamma) Fiamma, this is my assistant, Lidvia Lorenzetti.
Fiamma: Charms, and uh, could you two please tell the Bishop of New Orleans after the fair that... when a polite and handsome American priest came to Rome out of nowhere, the Italians will be very curious. He speaks Italian, Latin, Chinese, French and many other languages very well. He's a well-educated man. People thought, "Where did he come from? How'd he educate himself so well?"
Busoni: Michael will be pleased to hear that, but he is a very modest man.
Mayor: But, hello, he has six fingers per hands, twelve fingers in all.
Fiamma: (annoyed) Hello!? So am I! Look!!
Air itself soon filled with tensions, and the mayor felt embarrassed. Then, Busoni asked Fiamma a question to relieve others from this tense situation.
Busoni: Do you have news of Terra of the Left? I heard that he was absent from the urgent meeting.
Like Acqua, Vento and Fiamma, Terra of the Left is one of the four member of God's Right Seat. Unlike his noble and sane companions, Terra is a complete madman. He's infamous for committing various atrocities against Non-Catholics and Non-Christians and has killed many people who have been declared the enemies of God on behalf of the Roman Catholic Church. He has been missing for days since the assassination attempt against the Pope.
Fiamma: (became less angrier) No, no, it's a real mystery. We don't know where he is. This is strange since he is a unique man. He's got green-haired, has 12 fingers in all like me. Furthermore, he is hideous and mentally unstable. We can find him and we should find him. He sometimes wears a hood and is fanatically dangerous. Don't tell anyone that I said that.
Lidvia: How intriguing.

Terra: (sneezed) AH-CHOO!
Inside the City Hall[]
Lidvia: So, uh... (looked at her watch) Excuse me, if you don't mind, I'll leave for a while to tell that handsome American bishop that the show is about to start.
Humming her own tune, Lidvia went to the place where Michael Langdon was chatting with La Folia, Asuha and Mana. The Bishop and the mayor left as well, but just as Fiamma was about to left, he was frightened to see Vento behind him and staring at them.
Vento: They are talking about your quarrel with the Pope before the assassination.
Fiamma: That, uh, that was irritating. The KnightWalkers were waging war across the world, and he did not do anything resourceful. Do you know? I hate that old coward. If I had a chance, I would love to bump his head with a stick... and will be proud to confess.
Vento: It sounds like you had done that before. I began to suspect... you. You are the last person who stayed with His Holiness before he was attacked. Therefore, don't make that disgusting pretense in front of me.
The way Vento looked at Fiamma through her sharpened eyes seemed to peel into Fiamma's heart, and it made him fell more and more offended... and more and more disturbed. He then spoke to Vento angrily yet still gently.
Fiamma: So you think I am the assassin? That's horrible. You are suppose to guard the gate to the hall before sundown and yet you left. That is not right, Vento. Why don't you blame yourself first? If I was the assassin, why would I steal the Grand Grimoire after committing the crime?
Vento: Listen, I'm trying to be on your side, and I tried to believe you that are innocent. However, what the culprit did was try to assassinate the Pope, stealing a dangerous grimoire and framing a simple schoolgirl. That's outrageous. You have the motives, right?
Fiamma: Yes, I said I have, but... Fine, you can think whatever you want to think, but thanks to him, we are about to be there, inside the war against the KnightWalker Family as we wished, and that's all.
Vento: I think the assassin - if he is not you - wants more than that, Fiamma. I think he's going to destroy the Church. That's why we cannot let him get away.
Fiamma: Who said to let him away? We are God's Right Seat, and it is our duty to keep will and order. The Son of God used His Right Hand to cure the illnesses of the sick and revive the deceased. It was the Right Hand which drew the Cross and scattered the Holy water used for the Baptism of Christ. Furthermore, the Right Hand of The Likeness of God has the distinction of being the greatest weapon in history, having cast down an uncountable number of Fallen Angels; even The One Who Challenged the Light was defeated when opposed by the Right Hand of The Likeness of God. It is such an overwhelming power. I just don't believe that we cannot catch that culprit, understand?
Vento: Okay. Now, everything is ready. See you at the office.
Giving Fiamma a angry glare, Vento left quietly, and then a strange, creepy and sinister grin appeared on Fiamma's face... but that grin then instantly faded.
Pope does not trust Fiamma for a reason. Being a extreme revolutionist, Fiamma of the Right is not approved or popular in the Church, and even in God's Right Seat, most members (except Acqua) fear him and despise him, and only Acqua had respected Fiamma.
Behind the stage[]
A woman standing behind the stage was looking at a young man dressed up as a magician, wore a top hat and masked. He is Misogi in disguise. Mukuro Ikusaba is hiding in darkness beside a large box.
Woman: Thank you so much for volunteering as understudy, but how did you know that our magician had dropped out, Signor...
Misogi: Alfredo. Sure we will glad to. Well, you know, it's magic.
The woman went away, and Misogi whispered to Mukuro.
Misogi: Oh, we don't need that box.
Mukuro simply closed the big box beside her. Inside the box, there was a struggling man tied up and with his mouth sealed by plastic tapes.
Act 2 (2036) - Havoc[]
Inside the City Hall[]
Meanwhile, La Folia and her friends are still chatting with Michael Langdon, and the chat became much more casual and relieved.
Michael: So, uh, La Folia, with no offense, I just want to know that... How you met Katarina. She must be such a wonderful friend for you.
La Folia: Thank you, but... (turned a bit of sad) well, but I'm afraid that's a sad story, Bishop. I met her when she was 14 years old, and she was orphaned at that time. Her (adoptive) parents were killed in a car accident and they are two the few people who cared and loved her. When I met her, I began to take care of her and then we became close friends ever since.
Michael: Oh, je suis désolée, La Folia... but fortunately she met you in her darkest hour. Praise God. She is a lucky one and you are her lucky star.
La Folia: Well, um, I just did what I felt I should do.
Michael: You are very kind. Well, let's chat about something else.
La Folia: Okay, sure.
Michael: You know, I don't really to get nights off, but if ever you people would like to visit New Orleans for trips in one vacation, I will be honored...
La Folia: That's very kind of you, Bishop Langdon, but...
Michael: Please, just call me Michael.
La Folia: Michael, OK, that's very kind of you, but...

Michael: Now, having said that, I don't see why I can't take a night off, and I... happen to know the head chef of Enarc Dobahci Restaurant and the administrator of the house of Madame Delphine LaLaurie.
La Folia: Well, we-we're afraid that... Did you say Enarc Dobahci?
Michael: Yes, I did.
La Folia: I've been trying to eat there for quite some time. (to Mana and Asuha) Do you two know that restaurant? I heard currently only New Orleans and Virginia has this brand of restaurant. I heard it is a good restaurant for America's style of foods from 18th century.
Asuha: That sounds interesting.
Mana: (to La Folia) And he mentioned Delphine LaLaurie's house. I heard it was creepy since that was once used as torture chamber of Madame LaLaurie's slaves, but... now it's like a museum. I think it's worth going to.
La Folia: (to Michael) We'll all consider your invitation, Michael.
Michael: Thank you. By the way, La Folia... you have the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen.
La Folia: Oh, wow... Okay, well, thank you, but, uh...
Suddenly, Katarina appeared beside La Folia and gave Michael a cup of water. Her sudden presence interrupted La Folia's talks with Michael.
Katarina: Sorry to interrupt. La Folia, my friends, uh, I'd like to leave.
Mana: Yeah, uh... but of course, you're gonna miss the magician.
Katarina: Guys, I still want to leave.
Michael: (to Katarina) Are you not feeling well?
La Folia: (to Michael) Oh, n-no, she's-she's absolutely fine. She's fine. (to Katarina) Why don't you just pop off to the bar, Katarina, and...
Just then, Lidvia ended her talking with Fiamma and arrived near Michael to whisper something to him.
Lidvia: The show's about to start.
Michael: (to Lidvia) Is it time? (to Katarina and her friends) Excuse me, I and the woman beside me, Lidvia Lorenzetti, roped ourselves into emcee duties for the night. I hope you'll stay for the show.
Asuha: I wouldn't miss it for the world.
Michael smiled to his new friends and then left for stage alongside Lidvia. Katarina looked suspiciously to the young bishop, but then people around applauded and cheered when the show started. Asuha took a look at Katarina and felt confused to her attitude.
Asuha: What?
Katarina did not answered. She simply turned back and see the two hosts standing on the stage. Lidvia is the first one to speak.
Lidvia: Welcome to Rome, my friends, I am Lidvia Lorenzetti.
Michael: I am Michael Langdon.
Lidvia: For the past years, we've had the honor of being part of the church and this charity fair operated once a year in City Hall. Thank you for your support, and thank you so much for coming out tonight.
Michael: Over the years, we've had magicians come and entertain our children, and so tonight, we have one of the magicians here for you.
Lidvia: Now, without further ado... please allow us to present to you...
(paused for three seconds)
Michael & Lidvia: (both) ... "The Great Alfredo"!
All the lights had gathered towards a young lady wearing a crown, a cloak and a mask. She happily opened a large blue closet for the audience. The box is empty. She took a look at the box for a while, and then she turned to the audience and gasped in surprise of an exaggerated manner. People all took pleasure watching the performance, only Katarina looked the show indifferently. Lidvia and Michael came down from the stage and went to somewhere.
The young lady closed the blue closet again and was seemly in thought, and then she opened the box to reveal a top-hatted and masked man yawning inside. Suddenly, the young man realized what had happened and jumped out of the closet and said a "ha" to the people. Obviously, he is the Great Alfredo. Every participants applauded immediately except Katarina who applauded later.
Alfredo: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the charity fair! I'm indeed the Great Alfredo, (bowed to the audiences and pointed to the young lady) and this is my lovely assistant. (chuckling)
The applause lasted more than ten seconds, and the magician took out a red cloth piece from his sleeves and played some tricks. First, he managed to present a rose to the audience and gave it to his assistant, and then he managed to present a pigeon out of nowhere and released it. People (all but Katarina) were yelled in awe while watching the bird flying away, and then they paid their attention back to the stage. La Folia, Mana and Asuha were very interested with the show, but Katarina still looked at it indifferently.
Katarina: (thought) *It's only simple tricks. We're here to hunt down the KnightWalkers and the mysterious assassin.*
Meanwhile, Mukuro appeared outside the City Hall and locked its door. Then, she got into the hall by going through an underground tunnel. Inside the hall, the magician started his first formal act.
Alfredo: For our first act, I'll require a volunteer. Let me see... (start pointing everyone in the hall) Noir, noir, noir, noir, noir, noir, noir... (stopped pointing when he pointed the final choice of volunteer) rouge!
("Noir" means black in French and "Rouge" means red in French.)
People all looked at who the magician had pointed and applauded. The candidate is Katarina herself, and she felt very surprised. Kyouko was among the guests, but somehow she did not applauded like others. The assistant went down the stage to invite Katarina.
Asuha: Go, Katarina, be a sport.
The assistant gave her hand to Katarina who was still hesitating. Asuha and Mana began to urge her. Katarina did not pay attention to her for a while since she noticed Kyouko. Suddenly, Mana's face changed into a nervous mood and started to look closer to the assistant, but she could not find anything suspicious.
Asuha: Please, Kat, don't let the lady keep waiting.
(five seconds later)
Katarina: Fine.
Katarina held the assistant's hand, accepted the invitation and went up to the stairs. There was a long desk on the stage, and a long box was prepared on it.
Alfredo: Hello, young lady. Lie on the desk, please.
Katarina then lay on the stage and went into the opened box. The box has some holes so that Katarina could let her head and limbs out.
Under the stage, La Folia and Kyouko both looked at the performance with nervous look. The magician and his assistant managed to stabilize Katarina's head and limb by putting special wooden frames around her neck, wrists and ankles. Then, the magician showed the two iron saws in rectangular shape to the audience.
Alfredo: Does this... beautiful lady have a name?
Katarina: I'm Katarina.
Alfredo: Katarina! Ah, well, Katarina, this won't hurt at all... (prepare to cut through Katarina's waist with the saws) Is there a doctor in the house?
Kyouko: (startled) No, just-just excuse me. Just wait, sir... wait... wait one second!
Just as this time, La Folia had noticed the Ultimate Detective, but then she put more attentions on Katarina. Before Kyouko could stop it, Alfredo had chopped through Katarina's body "in half". He left the saws there and showed the audiences that the box... or boxes... were now separated. Surprisingly, Katarina is still alive and had no feelings of pain. For the first time, she smiled genuinely at the trick. People all around applauded.
Katarina: Awesome!
Alfredo: Give them a wave.
Katarina waved her hands and laughed to the audience. The applause became louder. Then, the two performers pieced the boxes together into a single box, and then they opened it. Katarina stood up and revealed herself to be completely unhurt.
Alfredo: Someone may say Katarina have dual personalities. Ha-ha-ha-ha...
Then, the assistant led Katarina to her friends, and Asuha went out to hug Katarina. The assistant blew a kiss to Katarina. At this time, judging by the way the assistant looked, Mana had a frown on her face and felt more and more suspicious.
Asuha: Very well, Katarina, you've done well.
The assistant went on stage, and Mana asked La Folia about something.
Mana: (to La Folia) Do these performers looked familiar to you?
La Folia: Huh?
La Folia looked at Mana in a strange face, and she turned her face to the stage and observed the assistant carefully. Backing on the stage, the assistant immediately prepared five daggers on the table and bowed down deeply to the audience. Then, when she looked up, she briefly took of her mask a bit to reveal herself to be Junko Enoshima very briefly. That was still for Mana to recognized her. With a devious smile, Junko quickly blinked to an astonished Mana before masking herself again.
Mana: Oh, dear... Excuse me.
La Folia: Mana?
Mana: We have troubles.
Startled, Mana ran out of the scene secretly and phoned Acqua as soon as possible.
Vatican[]
As Acqua was working in his own office, his phone rang. On the screen, it was La Folia's name and phone number.
Acqua: Listen, Mana, I'm...
Mana: (on phone) Acqua, it's Junko. I saw her in the City. I think Eckidina and Misogi might---
Suddenly, someone behind used a paper with choloria and choked Mana into comatose. Acqua could not heard the reply, and feeling the urgency, he went immediately towards the City Hall.
Inside the City Hall[]
On the stage, the show was going on, and Katarina had no idea that the things were going to the worse. Then, the magician ordered his next show.
Alfredo: Now, about our next move, I would like to invite Mayor Antonio of Rome himself for the show.
Mayor Antonio, the Mayor of the Rome, stood up and felt honored. People applauded and cheered for the mayor who instantly arrived on the stage, and the magician picked up a dagger from the table and handed to the assistant (Junko).
Assistant (Junko): No one... is getting out here alive...
Thinking that it was just a mere joke, the people around laughed out loudly, but then the laugh stopped when the assistant (Junko) ran towards the mayor and stabbed his eye with the knife, killing him. When the assistant then revealed herself to be Junko, Katarina under the stage shivered in fear, and some of the audiences screamed as they attempted to escape, but Mukuro, armed with a machine gun, had blocked their way and gunned down many who were trying to escape.
Fiamma was standing beside his table but Vento came and pushed him away. The magician soon revealed himself to be Misogi, and Junko's laugh could be heard throughout the hall. Some people went to find Bishop Michael Langdon and Lidvia Lorenzetti, but they could only find Lidvia before they were surrounded by KnightWalkers. What is worse, the door had been locked and there was no way to escape. Eckidina came out from the blue box and screamed in relish. In sheer chaos, La Folia and Asuha could not find Mana and Katarina anywhere. La Folia then saw Katarina following Kyouko out, but before she could react, Mukuro punched her head.
Mukuro: Taste that, La Folia!
Soon, Mana, La Folia and Asuka was held captive by Eckidina and Mana was tied on the wall, while Kyouko led Katarina escaped into a red curtain. After that, they ran through the secret tunnel where Mukuro snuck in, and Kyouko had just discovered the tunnel during chaos. Even so, Katarina was reluctant to go out, and as they an in the middle of the tunnel, she stopped.
Kyouko: What happened? Katarina, we had to hurry.
Katarina: Kyouko, I cannot just leave! Mana, La Folia and Asuha were all inside there, trapped, and I cannot leave them inside.
Kyouko: Why didn't you say so!? Let's hurry!
Katarina only gave her the photo of Acqua of the Back.
Katarina: No, you go, and find this man - Acqua of the Back - and lead him to this tunnel.
Kyouko did not waste time and she did what Katarina said.
Outside the City Hall[]
Meanwhile, Acqua of the Back had arrived near City Hall and there was police and journalists everywhere. He asked a police officer what had happened.
Acqua: Hey, you there, what is going on?
Police: Hostage situation. Somebody pretended to be a magician and his assistant. The assistant killed the mayor, and they abducted every participants inside.
Acqua: It must be people from KnightWalker Family and Ultimate Despair. Can you get in?
Police: No, the outside door was locked.
(Acqua's phone rang and he answered the phone.)
Acqua: Mana? Are you inside there? Are you OK? Thank God, I was just...
Junko: (phone) [No, it's just little old me. She's fine. She just need to be a little bit of despair, and despair is my forte.]
Acqua: Junko? What had you done to her? I swear to God, if you hurt her...
Junko: (phone) [Are you outside? Uh, I did nothing, just tying her up and never left. Well, if you want to see clearer, you can see me for yourself on the screen in the report truck. You see the whole city is now reporting our live show! This is live television after all. Come and see! HAHAHAHA....]
Act 3 (2036) - Rescue Mission[]
Horrified, Acqua reached the report truck and saw Junko on screen, standing at the place where Mana was tied and La Folia & Asuha was abducted.
Staff: (to Acqua) The feed just came back.
On the screen, Katarina was nowhere to find, and Acqua saw Junko pouring a full bucket of cold water on Mana in order to humiliate her. Acqua was so angry that he shouted out.
Acqua: You are a nasty MONSTER.
Junko: (on-screen) [True, but that is not the real point. You had to do anything I wanted you to do, and now let's tell about what I want. Excuse me... (went forward to the camera and start babbling) Get me 1,000,000,000 Euros from the Roman National Bank (and I prefer you to rob it), 10 plane tickets to Tenguu City, some fire arms, plus remember to buy a Ming Dynasty vase for me in Mr. Tang from Chinatown but please be careful, that man is a crook... and then what will we have? Ah, yes, a papal election under the KnightWalkers' control. Vote a new pope and surrender to us now. Give me a straight answer in ten minutes or people here shall be tortured and die, and remember this is a live show which means people from all over Italy could watch it, so... you know. People will learn despair from me! DESPAIR OF TOMORROW! DESPAIR OF THE UNKNOWN! DESPAIR OF YOUR MEMORIES! Therefore, don't let people die. Bye! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!]
Inside the City Hall[]
Junko finished her sadistic and weird laugh in front of the news reporter before she stopped.
Junko: HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Hā, há, hǎ, hà! AWHAHA, OH~~ (stopped laughing and turned to Eckidina) Looks like desperation is everywhere. I think that went quite well.
???: ENOUGH! Look at what you have done!
People in the hall, not to mention the KnightWalkers, had all gathered their eyes on one single man who stood near the mayor's body and stared at the villains on the stage. It was Bishop Michael Langdon. He heard about the chaos when he was waiting for the mayor's visit in his office, but when he heard the screaming, he rushed back to the hall and arrived near the stage.
Michael: All of you on stage, puppets from the the KnightWalkers, don't you dare cause troubles here! No one lost their hope in desperation! You had already murdered one person tonight, and I don't want it to turn to two! You all need to pack with your silly travesty and pathetic little sideshow and leave.
Junko: Is that correct?
Michael: Go home! Once, I don't want to cause any disturbances in this so-called show... but now I do. I don't know if anyone here supported me. It may be presumptuous to speak for all the citizens of Rome, but we are sick of you! You are some small vicious jerks with a pathetic need for attention. Now, do as what I say and leave.
Junko: Oh, no offense, I just want to ask if you have any positions, and I'm curious what your leverage is here, uh, Mr...
The bishop looked around and turned to camera to speak out his name aloud.
Michael: Michael Langdon, the Bishop of New Orleans.
Junko: Oh, yes, uh, Mr. (mimicing Michael's deep voice) Michael Langdon, or Bishop Langdon... would you please calm down? I think you have been in a long way. If you don't sit down, uh, I'm going to shoot you... in your face. Now, ignore him, guys, and let us continue.
Michael: Are you listening to me? I really want to know if there is any human decency left inside you.
Junko gleefully looked at Michael and made a funny face, but the latter merely replied to her with a face of utter disgust.
Michael: Enough! For God's sake, enough. You can do vile things on me, and if you need to take a hostage, take me, but please let these people go free, back to their home, to their family, and to their children.
Before finishing his words, Michael was punched by Eckidina with a hammer and passed out. Then, Eckidina smiled to the man in a comatose state in a bratty manner.
Eckidina: Boring, right?
Outside the City Hall[]
Acqua of the Back had witnessed everything on the screen. Suddenly, he felt someone touch his back and he turned back in alarm, but he only found Kyouko behind him.
Kyouko: Are you Acqua of the Back? I am Kirigiri Kyouko. Come with me. I know a way in the City Hall, and following the way, we can save them all.
Acqua: Indeed?
Kyouko: Yes, and Katarina was hiding inside as well.
Acqua: Good, tell me where it is... and... we'll break in!
Inside the City Hall[]
Junko: LIKE WE SAID, NO ONE... IS GETTING OUT OF HERE ALIVE. HAHAHAHA... Now, hold very still, and don't say that I threw it on purpose if it pierces your throat!
The City Hall was now in utter chaos and fear. In order to commit humiliation, Junko tied Lidvia Lorenzetti on the stage and put an apple on her head. She blocked her eyes with a piece of towel and threw the knife at the apple. It cut right through the apple, and Lidvia was not hurt. Junko peeled the audiences with her eyes angrily and was very dissatisfied that no one applauded for her. She started to shout out.
Junko: WHERE IS YOUR APPLAUSE!? I HAVE HERE TO BRING YOU GUYS PERFORMANCE IN THE FORM OF DESPAIR, AND I WILL BE VERY EMBARRASSED WHEN YOU DON'T CHEER FOR ME! I'LL DO ANYTHING I WANT! SO DON'T YOU DARE NOT APPLAUD! SO DON'T YOU DARE STOP ME!
(paused)
Junko: AGAIN, WHERE IS YOUR APPLAUSE!?
The audiences had to applaud even if they won't. Junko nodded with satisfaction. Not far away, Mukuro had hold of Asuha and La Folia at her gunpoint. As for Eckidina, she was teasing Mana in a rude manner. Mana angrily looked at Eckidina with full of hatred, and yet Eckidina just replied her with a shameless smile.
Mana: What are you doing? Let me go!
Eckidina: Who do you think can save you? What kind of force will I fight? Donald Trump? Adolf Hitler? Pirates? Vandals from volcano mountains? Nah, I don't think so.
Mana: I'm sick of you...
Eckidina: Just hang on a second. Oh, what about Emeperor Qin Shi Huang with his army that conquered his enemies and united China? No, no, no, they are terra-cotta warriors now... However, I think she will save you, but, uh... where is your goody-two-shoe friend Katarina? Did she hid under the table like a coward? (giggled) I hope she did not blame herself for the death of Eugen.
Mana: YOU SHUT UP! Out of my eyesight---- WHORE!
Eckidina: OH! (slapped Mana) There is no need to be so rude. I will teach you some manners, Mana, and I have been waiting for this day for far too long! Finally, hehehe... easy, I'm not gonna kill you. Since no one is here to save ya, I'll humiliate you very, very badly!
Mana: You did humiliate us all by sending Aki Honda and Mafusa Gang to kill so much people in our city, especially Eugen Katsuragi! I know you are behind her death, and you made your father to take the fall for you! Such a sweet girl just died... because of you!
Eckidina: Yes, I admit this, but what happened next? We just lost... (paused) but we KnightWalkers will rise again and spread ourselves like virus since there is nothing more contagious than pain. When Katarina is here, I will send you guys all on a road trip... for free.
La Folia: A road trip?
Eckidina: Yes, and by this! Now behold... the Grand Grimoire!
Eckidina yelled in pride as she showed the Grand Grimoire to everyone in the place, and agents of Catholic Church were all shocked after seeing this and roared out in rage.
La Folia: It's impossible... You must be the assassin in Vatican! You framed me! Now, you will die!
Eckidina: There is nothing to be sure that who will die... and I did not do that thing. I stayed in Tenguu City all along after you stopped my plan... For a while. I did not go to the Vatican, and yet this book is given by that assassin that EVEN I DON'T KNOW WHO HE IS. Misogi can prove this... Misogi?
Misogi was eating ice cream he stole from the desk, but when Junko poked him, he immediately paid attention.
Misogi: Uh... no, she didn't.
Mana: No matter whether you assassinated the pope or not, you deserve to die... TODAY!
Eckidina: I don't think so. With you all wiped out from this world and into another time and world, what will I tell my future slaves... when the KnightWalkers win the war? Ah, yes, how about this one - "Once upon a time, we tried to rule this Earth with our fist to bring 'beautiful' scenery, but just then it was almost busted, since there was some sort of little man-eating harpies that took them away... but in the end, pain and despair had conquered them all!!!" Eckidina: (closer to Mana) I beg your pardon.
Mana: THIS! (kicked Eckidina's stomach)
After being kicked forcefully by Mana, Eckidina screamed in pain and Misogi helped her to restore her balance. In a face of sheer rage, Misogi glared at Mana, trembling in anger and eventually roared out loudly to her.
Eckidina: AW!!! DARN IT!
Misogi: (to Mana) Ah, how could you! Dismissive! Bitter! Arrogant! You really deserve a lesson from us and the ten minutes are running out!
Eckidina: (pushed Misogi and turn back to the audience) EVERYBODY, BACK OUT, BACK OUT, BECAUSE SHE GAVE ME AN OFFICIOUS KICK! OHHH.... HAS SOMEONE FORGOT TO TIE UP HER KNEES! COME ON GUYS, THAT'S BASIC STUFF...
Mana: (kicked Eckidina's hip) You like this?!
Eckidina: AHH! (attempted to grab a knife on table)

Cleaning the dust from her dress, Eckidina stepped aside and sat down while smiling wickedly to Junko.
Eckidina: Go on, it's your show today.
Junko: Alright, thanks and now who's next? Ah, I have an idea. Our next official victim will be that red haired lady, parents died near an alley and grew up almost lonely, also our nicest volunteer. Now, where... is... KATARINA COTEAU?
Katarina was hiding in a curtain and saw how everything had occurred. Once, Katarina attempted to get out and punched Junko and Eckidina in their face, but she held back the rage in her feelings.
Eckidina: Katarina, come out. If Junko can't make you out of where you're hiding, and then I'll do the job. You know I am an orphan too... and I caused my father's death, though, not by a traffic accident.
Junko: She's still not here. KAT GIRL! WHERE ARE YOU? I'M GETTING IMPATIENT! What's your advice, Eckidina?
Eckidina: Shoot La Folia.
(paused)
Junko: Yes, nice idea, but why didn't you say so? Now, Mukuro, bring La Folia to me!
La Folia, with her hands been shackled, was pushed on the stage by Mukuro, who then pointed the gun to her. Seeing this, Katarina was shocked and enraged.
Asuha: (struggles) Let her go!
Junko: Never mind. Now, Kat, this is your last chance. One step late and La Folia's head will be blown up instantly, oh-ho-ho~
Mukuro: She's still not here. Do we need kill her now?
Junko: Not yet, I want to test Katarina's trustworthiness. Don't you think so, La Folia?
La Folia: Junko, screw you!
Junko: Fair enough.
Katarina: (behind the curtain) No...
Katarina was about to get out of the curtain but she felt that someone had held her arm and pulled her back. She turned back and found Acqua looking at her. Kyouko was behind him and angrily looked at Katarina.
Kyouko: What are you doing? You are throwing yourself into greater trouble.
Katarina: La Folia is inside and is in danger. I need to save her.
Acqua: Leave this to us. If you go out to there, you will be doing the exact thing they want you to do. We will help you. One is a Catholic officer, and one is a world-class detective. We will take action for you to save her, so I need to keep you safe.
(paused)
Junko: KIIIIITTTY~~ Where are you, girly?~
Mukuro: (on the stage) Shall we kill her now?
Junko: (on the stage) Wait ten more seconds.
Katarina: I know you're trying to protect me, but... I WILL NEVER LET THEM TAKE LA FOLIA FROM ME.
Kyouko and Acqua were both stunned by the words, and Katarina went out of the curtain with her sword.
Mukuro: Ten more seconds already! Can I kill her now!?
Junko: Nah, I was thinking making her a cup of tea or... YES, KILL HER NOW!
A malevolent smile appeared on Mukuro's face.
Mukuro: (satisfied) Finally! Now... say your prayers. (about to shoot La Folia)
Katarina: STOP!!!
All people in the hall gathered to Katarina and Junko walked to her with satisfaction. Katarina went straight to La Folia and comforted her. La Folia was surprised to see Katarina.
Katarina: Are you hurt?
La Folia: What are you doing here? They'll kill you!
Katarina: Don't worry, La Folia. I'll be fine. Acqua and Kyouko were outside the curtain and they shall take actions as soon as... AHHH!!!
Before Katarina could finsh, Junko had attacked her from behind. Katarina fell on the ground, and Junko abducted her as a hostage as well. Mukuro grabbed her sword and threw it away, while Junko start dragging Katarina on the stage and held her neck at the knife point.
Junko: Let's get this started, huh? Mukuro, go and check the curtain to see if there is anyone that attempted stop us.
Mukuro: Don't worry. (went on her way) No matter who they are, I will let them taste the feast of my bullet rains.
Mukuro went there, but was punched by Acqua and had her machine gun been taken and threw away. After knocking Mukuro unconscious, Acqua rushed out of the curtain and started a fight with the KnightWalkers. Those KnightWalker troops were hiding among the guests, but now they revealed themselves when Acqua broke in.
During the fight Acqua took down several KnightWalkers and used his magic to cover Kyouko, and the latter walked straight forward through the mist and then held her gun to Junko. Acqua also aimed his magical crucifix to Junko, but the situation soon went sticky, since Junko had already dragged Katarina on the stage while cutting a bit of scar on her neck.
Kyouko: DROP THE KNIFE!!!
Acqua: I don't have a clear shot.
La Folia: Stay calm, Katarina.
Junko: Ooh, seems like we are in a sticky situation now. (to Kyouko) Well, what do we have here? The Ultimate Detective herself is here! Why are you here? Aren't you now searching for Sonia? She's "fine", I can inform you, and I warn you not to come closer or Katarina will die. (to Katarina) What do you think, Katarina? Want to boost our ratings, huh? Heh-heh-heh-eee-ah-ha-ha-ha! Smile!
Sonia's face returned into Kyouko's memories.
Kyouko: Get rid from that stupid grins on your faces, Junko! You are too worthless to speak Sonia's name. You cannot be compared to a hair of her! In addition, do not harm Katarina either, or I will kill you instantly!
Junko: I'll see what you can do. Now, detective, had you had thoughts of killing someone that made your life miserable or took your best friend away? Now, it's the time, and you will never see Sonia and Katarina alive again!
Michael: I said, enough!
Junko was surprised to hear the voice. At this point, Michael Langdon had regained his consciousness and stood up immediately. Misogi attempted to stop him, but was punched in the nose and fell. At the same time, Junko turned to Michael and stared at him, but Michael simply waved and several spears appeared out of nowhere and stabbed right through Junko.
In pain, Junko yelled and dropped the knife, and everyone in the hall was shocked. Katarina broke free and hugged with La Folia. Michael walked closer and looked at Junko as she fell on the floor.
Junko: No, what have you...
Michael: I know... I know... this is not in the part of your plan. I'm sorry, Junko, since I never wanted to kill someone... but now you see, with your death, there is "hope" for all of us but you. Taste your own medicine of Despair, Junko, and fall into "sleep" like death, a sleep you will never awaken.
Junko: No, you *coughs blood* don't understand... that "Mr. Unknown"... promised me... that I was gonna... be...
Junko did not finish her words and then her breath simply stopped. A twisted and scornful grin appeared on her face. Michael soon walked back, touching his own head and sighed in relief. Suddenly, Eckidina was alarmed and dragged Misogi to the blue closet in a fast speed.
Asuha: Kyouko! Stop her!
Kyouko ran straight towards Eckidina and Misogi, but she was too late. Eckidina had closed the blue closet without saying goodbye. When Kyouko opened the blue closet, she found it empty.
Then, Kyouko took a careful look at Junko's body and could not speak a word. Asuha went forward and checked Junko's breathing.
Asuha: Junko Enoshima... is dead...
Act 4 (final?) - Lost in Time[]
Ten minutes later...[]
Police arrived after Acqua opened the lock for them, and they clear the crime scene and took away Junko's body to the morgue. They also arrested Mukuro and the lesser KnightWalkers in the hall. Katarina now had a piece of bandage shrouded on her neck, and Acqua went near her and smiled to her. Katrina smiled back as well in an apologetic manner.
Katarina: Thank you for your help... and I'm sorry, Acqua. I misjudged you. I thought you were untrustworthy. I'm terribly sorry for this.
Acqua: No, it was I who need to say sorry. I have no idea that things is going to be messed up like this. The sheer impact of this nightmare, I can forsee it. Nevertheless, the lucky thing is that you helped save the lives of everyone in here. As for your late parents and sister... they would've been proud of you.
La Folia: Yeah, they would've been... even though I hope they won't come out of their graves and come after me for letting her into trouble.
Katarina: It was all of us. We are a team.
(paused)
Acqua: Yeah, I guess we are.
Meanwhile, La Folia had noticed Michael beside the stage who was rubbing his head. She felt worried for him.
La Folia: (pointed to Michael) Is he okay?
Acqua: (looked at Michael, to La Folia) He's fine, though I'd still like him to check out at the hospital, La Folia. Eckidina gave him quite a knock. Any word on her?
La Folia: No, she went through a trapdoor in the stage which is hid by the closet. They must always been planning to use that as their exit. Don't worry. We'll find her.
Just then, Michael Langdon arrived. Kyouko noticed Michael and went forward to him. She smiled and shook her hand warmly with him.
Michael: You're the world famous Ultimate Detective who solved the case of Jack the Ripper. I know you. It's a pleasure to meet you.
Kyouko: The pleasure is mine. By the way, I'd just like to thank you for saving Katarina Coteau and her friends' life in time. If there's anything we can ever do for you, sir...
Michael: (to Kyouko) I really just did what any citizen of the world would have done. (to La Folia) By the way... you taught me a impressive moral lesson, La Folia, since you did what was right to raise Katarina. I think I did what I should do as well.
La Folia smiled, and Katarina turned to Michael with a grateful look.
Katarina: I wish that was true. Thank you for saving our lives.
Michael: Well, it's my pleasure. By the way, if you ever need anything, please call me. We're all in this together, right?
La Folia: Thank you, Michael. Right, well, I suppose I better be getting my friends home.
Katarina: La Folia, I want to stay at Rome.
La Folia: Beg your pardon?

At this time, in an violent rage, Katarina cornered and grabbed an KnightWalker henchmen in an alley. She started to interrogated him for whereabouts of Eckidina.
KnightWalker: Spare me...
Katarina: Tell me where Eckidina KnightWalker is and I will spare you, or don't you ever blame me for what you suffered from me next!
KnightWalker: Please, I have no idea, really!
Katarina: Then tell me where did she go recently or often.

Misogi turned to Eckidina, but was surprised to find her cackling in sheer craziness. He stopped his babbling and went straight towards her.
Misogi: Oh, boy... She's cracked. She's gone nuts. (start knocking the door behind her) Hello? Eckidina? Eckidina-san~ IS THAT YOU!?
Misogi grabbed Eckidina's collar in brute force, but then she stopped laughing and punched him once again. This punch made Misogi fell dizzy.
Misogi: That's HER...
Eckidina: Things are not over yet! We still have the Grand Grimoire, Misogi-Chan!
Misogi: But Junko...
Eckidina: Junko's gonna be fine, Misogi. Using the KnightWalker tech I impaled into her, she can later regenerate herself as long as her brain is intact. She will return, alive and well. Now, it is time for you to do me a favor, Misogi!

Asuha: Looking at the sky, I saw many stars, but why on Earth did you say "Good Morning"?
Mana: (to Asuha) Can't you see that? His brain must be hit and it made him a fool. (to Misogi) Misogi, why are you here?

Misogi: Okay... (knelt and wept) Have pity on me, you all. Just then, Eckidina blamed her failed show in the night on me so she threw me out of the hotel. She must have deserted me and went away on her own.

Katarina and her friends looked suspiciously at Misogi, but then, Mana heard something and turned back. She saw a hooded man standing 15 meters behind them and spoke in a deep and distorted voice.

Unknown: Is that really important? Then, with a twisted smile, Eckidina revealed the Grand Grimoire behind her and casted a spell written in an old language. A portal appeared and Katarina was sucked into the portal. La Folia and others tried to pull Katarina out but they were sucked in as well. They went into a time tunnel and suddenly separated.
Time Tunnel[]
In the time tunnel, Katarina had saw every sad events and things from the past she hated to see: the smiling face of Aki Honda, the war that made Earth a living hell, and finally the death of Eugen Katsuragi.
Suddenly, Katarina saw something she had not seen before: a barren forest. In the forest, she saw four riders coming, riding in their horses with different colors and holding different weapons. Confusingly, one of them had no head.
Katarina: What in God's name...
Sleepy Hollow (2013)[]
All of a sudden, Katarina had awakened and later realized herself in a woods, similar to the woods she saw in the time tunnels. She stood up and felt strange and lonely. She looked around looking for her friends.
Katarina: La Folia? Mana? Asuha? Where are you guys?
Katairina wandered near a garbage can and suddenly, she saw herself in a broken mirror. Her appearance is now changed and matured into a older woman, 10 years older than she was in her time. Her hair turned darker in color.
Katarina: No! What happened to me? What is this place?
In confusion, Katarina looked around and saw a sign by the road. She read it carefully.
Katarina: The town of Sleepy Hollow...
???: Are you hurt?
Katarina turned back and saw an elderly priest was standing 3 meters away, looking at her calmly.
???: I just walked by, young girl. My name is Knapp. Reverend Alfred Knapp. Happy New Year. Can I help you, poor soul?
Katarina: New Year? What year is it?
Knapp: The year is 2013.
Katarina was so shocked that she almost fell on the ground. She gasped in the air and trying to recall what had happened. Knapp looked at her calmly.
Knapp: What's your name, and where are you from?
Katarina: I am Katarina, reverend. Katarina Coteau. I am from... future.
Knapp: Future? How did you came here, then.
Katarina: It's complicated... I don't even know what had happened... I just came here because my enemy made a trick...

Suddenly, a large mirror beside Katarina started to glow orange lights, and Katarina turned to see. She saw Sister Mary Eunice inside the mirror, smiling to her in a friendly manner.
Sister Mary Eunice: (appears in a mirror) You are here due to destiny. I led your friends here, and my friend led you here. It is not coincedence after all. It is destiny.
Katarina: Who are you?
Sister Mary Eunice: I'm Sister Mary Eunice. Good to know you.
Katarina: I'm Katarina Coteau. What is it going on, Sister?

Reporter: (voice) [Despite the presence of the Roman Police Department and the Catholic Church millaint, it was Bishop Michael Langdon—newly arrived in Rome far away from New Orleans but already making his name—who stood up to the KnightWalker lunatics.]
Unknown: (grinned) The man who stopped us is on the TV as a hero, right?

That Rome, 2036, something bad is happening to Rome... something really, really bad.
Reporter: This night, Junko Enoshima who was supposed to be dead, had been turned out to be alive and she escaped the morgue by killing two of the guards. She then busted her henchwoman, Mukuro, and all of her companions out from the prison. An hour later, after knowing he had failed to kill Junko, Bishop Michael Langdon of New Orleans had took actions. He signed a warrant for arresting Junko Enoshima and the Ultimate Despair members, and he promised to find Katarina Coteau and her friends who had been missing since their encounter with Eckidina KnightWalker. Now, Eckidina, Misogi and Junko are still at large. The news reporting soon was cut down and replaced by Junko's Despair Video Tape made of the footage from the horrid performance in the City Hall. Many viewers suffered mental breakdown and cackled insanely as Junko made her announcement on screen.
Junko: [Like we said... NO ONE IS GETTING OUT OF HERE ALIVE... HAHAHAHAHAHA...]
Tragedies had soon spreading across the whole Rome once again.
A bar patron watched the tape fell into despair and cackled insanely before smashing his costumer with a empty bottle. A child watching the tape laughed out loudly while his parents were arguing from behind, and then he grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed them both. Two men in front of a TV shop witnessed the news as well and then they robbed the shop and killed its owner. Then, one of the men stabbed his friend to death all of a sudden. The blood sprayed on the TV screen as Junko made her announcements. The final images were featuring members of Ultimate Despair's horrible rendezvous - among them, there is Sonia Nevermind - while Junko was laughing and could not stop laughing at all, at all.
Junko: [People will learn despair from me! DESPAIR OF TOMORROW! DESPAIR OF THE UNKNOWN! DESPAIR OF YOUR MEMORIES! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!]
- Junko: [Hā, há, hǎ, hà! AWHAHA, OH~~ Looks like desperation is everywhere. I think that went quite well. Now, BISHOP MICHAEL LANGDON, CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!]
Act 5 - MAD - A News Report Hoax[]
Before the reporting...[]
Sitting in front of a microphone, Katarina was chewing gum while singing a song. She was so addicted to the song that she did not notice that La Folia entered the room. When she saw Katarina singing and chewing gum, she is rather annoyed.
Katarina: (singing) La-la-la... We are "Fa-Mu-Lei"...
La Folia: Katarina!
Katarina was frightened and instantly, she accidentally dropped the gum on La Folia's chair. La Folia moved her chair to the proper place and sat on it, without being realized that she sat on gum. Katarina was a bit of nervous.
Katarina: But La Folia, there is still 13 minutes left to report the news. I'm not late.
La Folia: Not that. How can you sing "Fa-Mu-Lei"?! That is "family".
Katarina: I know, but I just want to make fun.
La Folia: Wasn't that news reporting fun?
Katarina: The news program are boring, La Folia.

The body of Constance Langdon and the deformed corpse of Constance Langdon were hanging in front of Hotel Cortez, and a message was writing on the wall of the hotel with the blood:

Braircliff Asylum's site (2036)[]
70 years had been passed since Braircliff Asylum had been shut down and fell to ruins. One day, some workers had arrived to dismantle the shambling building. It was now so old and it needed to be cleaned to made space for a new structure. They attempted to dismantle some walls inside. They spied on a wall randomly, but then one of then found something strange on it.
Worker 1: Do you guys noticed?
Worker 2: What is it?
Worker 1: Looks like something shady is on the wall and is in the shape... of human.
Worker 2: What is it?
The workers started breaking wall and then imagine what they discovered......
The workers were all shocked to find the rot and disfigured corpse. They screamed in fear when suddenly, they saw a nun, dressed in white from top to the bottom and wept blood, was staring at them. This gave them even more shock and they screamed louder.
Workers: Who are you?! Stay away from us! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
White Nun: Yes, you found something. Now, OUT OF MY SIGHT.
The two workers then lost their eyesight when the White Nun stabbed through their eyes with pins, and then the White Nun sliced through their throat, killing them.
Bathed in blood, the White Nun had transformed "herself" after summoning a red aura around "her" and became the Unknown Grand Grimoire Figure, revealing them to be one and the same. He stared at the corpse and smiled.
Unknown: So... Constance, it's been a long time since we met last time. They'll never know what you had made into - what I had made you into. I KILLED YOU. Now, people around, I hope you'll consider this as a warning. Now, I must fix my own mistake on my own.
Then, the Unknown Grand Grimoire Figure had burned down the corpse of Constance. He picked out a quill from his pocket and tainted it with the worker's blood.
Unknown: Eckidina is so gullible. Now, people from the world. I declare my involvement in this war on all of you... and I will bring a even GREATER war on you. All of you will taste the fear. You will all plunge into... what it's like to lose faith. Nice work you do, Katarina, to make yourself involved into this faithless pit. Wait till I become the pope, and I will hold one of the greatest powers of Christianity in my palm. I am coming for all of you... and you will all die after I hang your name on it.
Writing the name "Katarina Coteau" on the card with the workers' blood, the Unknown Grand Grimoire Figure returned back to the inner part of Braircliff. He went into the place where Dr. Arthur Arden did his crazy experiment. Then, he hanged the card with Katarina's name on the wall, placing it beside many other cards. Those names (including Katarina's name) are:
Radio Reporter: Recently, since Pope Matthai Reese is still recovering his injuries in hospital, an anonymous person from Roman Catholic Church had announced that the Church's decision to vote for a new Pope in order to prevent KnightWalkers invading the Holy See. The first round of papal election will occur tomorrow. The candidates includes Pietro Yogdis, the Cardinal of Rome and the current man in charge of the Church on behalf of His Holiness, while the other candidate is Bishop Augustin Reynolds. However, surprisingly there is a new candidates that was recommended by people of Rome. He rescued several innocent people surrounded by a group of KnightWalkers in City Hall and driven out of their commanders, Misogi Kuwagama and Eckidina KnightWalker, from Rome. In order to save a young girl, he even nearly killed Junko Enoshima, the leader of Ultimate Despair, who turns out to have survived and is currently at large. The man's name is Michael Langdon, the Bishop of New Orleans, who had came to Rome to travel. His bravery had made tremendous positive effects on Rome. The KnightWalkers seemed to disappear in one night of Rome but we are not sure if they will ever return.

Sonia Nevermind: (closed the radio) That's none of our business. Let them vote their new pope. We have works to do.
Novosic Kingdom
At this time, Novosic Kingdom had met some problems with attacking the Chronos Empire. Princess Sonia Nevermind was in charge of the attack by herself in her base. Now, Novosic Kingdom had became an outright supporter of the KnightWalker Family after Sonia Nevermind revealed to Kyouko that she was with the Ultimate Despair.
Holding a cup of tea in her hand, Sonia did not care about Junko's plan nor her fake death, since she despised her very much even if she was willingly to work for her. Instead, she focused her attack against the Chronos Empire with a smile on her face. Her eyes glowed red in excitement.
Sonia: Why did Chronos Empire chose to rout in China? I'd always wanted to travel there and climb the Great Wall, but... that's for another time. Push the front line forward, my men, and wipe out every single setback we face!

Suddenly, all of the screens changed and a large red logo, which mixed the number 6 and a question mark, had appeared on every screens. It also cut the communication between the base and the front line. Sonia was angry and knocked the table with her fists.
Sonia: What is this? Guards!
Novosic guard: Your Highness, we've been hacked. The system is now in chaos. We cannot contact the commanders on battlefield.
Sonia: No way. Did our enemies from the Chronos Empire hack us?
???: No, they didn't. I did.
Hearing the voice coming from behind, Sonia and her guards suddenly turned back and saw a man standing at the door and holding a large scroll. It was the Unknown Grand Grimoire Figure, who grinned evilly as Sonia looked at him with shock and confusion.
Sonia: Who are you?!
Unknown: My name is unimportant for now. Good to see you, Princess Sonia... Or may I call you Jack the Ripper of 21st century? I am new to KnightWalker Family and I am here to ask you a favor.
Sonia angrily stared at the mysterious man and was ready to punch him in the face.
Sonia: I don't know what you are talking about.
Unknown: You have no secrets in front of me. I know everything about you, Princess. You are the new Jack the Ripper... And I like the fact.
Sonia: So, what are you going to do?
Unknown: It'll be papal election, but since I am not among those candidates, I want you to send an assassin in order to attack ALL of the three candidates. I don't care about the outcome, but you must keep one alive and pretended to miss your gunfire. If you did what I said, you will make an exchange with me, an exchange for some greater good.
Sonia: Who is he?
Unknown: His name is... (whisper to Sonia the name) Understand?
Sonia: Yes, but what is the exchange of this?
The mysterious man then grinned deviously and opened his scroll. It was a map of the capital of Novosic Kingdom. Sonia saw this map and was surprised. She saw a large red areas beside her palace and inside the citizens' area.
Unknown: This. It is my design. The red marks is for the place for the Church Militant. When I become the Pope, I will turn the Church slowly to the side of KnightWalkers, and I need your support. So, you need to prepare the place for us to stay.
Sonia: You want to make such things in my kingdom?
Unknown: Where else? Oh, perhaps Rome or Tenguu City, but that's for another time. After you did me this favor, you will permit me to help you to spread Despair.
Sonia: But... it means...
All of a sudden, something noble within Sonia started to awaken as she seeing the map... and she couldn't help herself from admitting it. Her humanity is not gone completely even if she chose to join Ultimate Despair by herself.
Sonia: It means to dismantle and mutilate the cities of our kingdom and thousands Novosic citizens will be homeless... Oh, my, what am I talking about?
Unknown: I can see you struggling. Despair is flowing inside you, Sonia, and you joined this war by free will and just want to see anyone on Earth crying in despair and pain... in the very same style of Junko Enoshima herself. To tell the truth, I was hiding among the place that you committed murders, but you did not see me... and I did not stop you because I like your work. I will not call the police and I... suppose... that I won't be a copycat.
Sonia: (interrupted him) Mister, I think I am not interested in your "magnificent" plan. You can persuade Eckidina, but you cannot persuade me to join your plan. It will harm my own goods. Now, please go home. Someone send him home. We have work to do.
(paused)
Unknown: I can see you focusing more on attacking the Chronos Empire in China than joining my plan... but I think if you refuse, you know what will happen to your little detective friend.
Hearing this, Sonia dropped her china tea cup on the ground and it smashed into pieces. She lowered her head and her eyes returned back to green and filled with bitterness. The Unknown Figure looked at it with a false compassion.
Unknown: How fragile you are. You and the cup, you both are.
Sonia: You... stay away from her. Only I have the right to kill her and I will not do that. No one can harm her, including you! Stay away from... Kirigiri Kyouko!
Unknown:Kirigiri Kyouko? Who said anything about her? (paused) I did. (evil chuckles) Princess, I want to ask you a tricky question. Do you know the difference between that Santa Clause and me? Yes, he only comes once a year.
Sonia: What do you mean? Christmas is only for two months.
Unknown: That is the outcome when you let Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer organize your calendar. However, I am organizing a fine Christmas real-life show. I love to watch the "rehearsal" and I'm almost addicted to it. Volia!
The Unknown Figure clapped his hand and then the screens then changed. Sonia and her minions were shocked to find two old couples tied in color lights decorated on a Christmas tree and screaming in terror. The Unknown Figure smiled in his own twisted way.
Old couples: (on screen) We don't know anything... Princess Sonia, please spare us... We are...
KnightWalker soldier: Shut up! (punched the old couples)
Sonia: Oh, my...
Unknown: Those are Kyouko's parents. I found them in Tenguu City and caught them in... the name of yours. I apologize if I did not ask for your permission, but if I did... you must say no. However, I think if I done it, you will change your mind.
Sonia: Well, I haven't. What is the meaning of this? Did Kyouko know this?
Unknown: To my knowledge, so far, she has no idea. However, she will, and what will Kyouko think if she had heard the rumors that "you" are responsible for this?
Sonia: I... No, it's crazy. You... will pay for this!
Sonia grabbed a knife and started to attack the Unknown Figure, but the latter stared at her and eventually Sonia's body could not do what she had say. She floated on the air and bumping the walls.
Sonia: MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP!!!
Unknown: You're either with me, or you are against me... and if you are against me, even God could not help you, Sonia.
Sonia: Please... I'm with you...
The Unknown Figure smiled and made Sonia landed safely on the ground. He smiled wickedly when he saw his evil ruse succeeded.
The two old couples are in fact not Kyouko's parents. Kyouko's parents died two years ago in a car accident. They are only two old innocent people that the Unknown Figure captured to force Sonia to agree his evil plan to assassinate papal candidates. He also ordered a KnightWalker to guard him. Whenever they were about to tell the truth, the guard punched them fiercely.
Since Kyouko did not tell Sonia about her parents, Sonia is yet to know this truth. Since she still cared for Kyouko in her own way, Sonia was enraged and horrified by the Unknown Figure's act of abducting Kyouko's "parents" to harm Kyouko and cannot see through the lies.
Unknown: So, in order to make Kyouko's family... "together", you must send your assassin to Rome and do whatever I say. If you don't care the two old people, well then, you must care for Kyouko, because if you let them die, you'll betray your friendship with Kyouko... and more than that. Now, shall we have the deal?
Afterwords[]
From Officer: OMG, Junko had died... No... Not so easy. She did not die in this chapter, but in fact she somehow survived her wounds and pretended to be dead. It seemed that Michael had failed to perform a fatal shot. Otherwise, the leader of Ultimate Despair will be no more... And where is the fun within LOTM: Sword of Kings AA Final - Eckidina Arc when it was released? Duh.
Well, though I can make some dramatic scene in this crossover, but since this crossover is a canoncial work, in order to respect my collegues making LOTM: Sword of Kings', I will not kill off any character in LOTM: Sword of Kings if they have major role in the upcoming Eckidina Arc or further.
As you can see, now Katarina and her friends had arrived at Sleepy Hollow, a completely different world compared to Earth. Fortunately, they have new friends and this will make her safety in this world possible.
As the next episode had told, Sonia Nevermind will made an appearance in this crossover, but this will not conclude her sub-storyline with Kyouko, only filling it with more scenes involved with our "Mr. Unknown". The rest is saved to LOTM: Sword of Kings AA Final - Eckidina Arc.
