Moloch
Moloch, also known as the Horrid King, Demon of Children Sacrifice, Lord Moloch, Master Moloch, the Leader of the Horsemen, The Demon with Unforgivable Sins, the Demon King and many more, is the overarching antagonist of LOTM: Witnesses of Sleepy Hollow storyline, its spinoffs and the main antagonist of its sequel/second half, LOTM: Star Spangled Crown. He is a character created by Officer Candy Apple from CIS Productions based on the main antagonist of the original Sleepy Hollow series, mostly its first two seasons.
Moloch is one of the (if not, the) most important antagonists of the whole storyline. He is the master of the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse and Michael Langdon, being the most evil and foremost threat to the Biblical Witnesses that would save the humanity, namely Ichabod Crane, Abbie Mills and Molly Thomas / Lara Thomas (Abbie's successor).
Being the final Tribulation that the Witnesses faced, Moloch is the most direct Bigger Bad of the overall LOTM: Witnesses of Sleepy Hollow as well as being the primary and final antagonist of its second part, LOTM: Star Spangled Crown. Therefore, he is the primary antagonist and the final boss of the entire LOTM: WoSH storyline. Unlike Ara Astaroth, who also shared his Bigger Bad role, Moloch is a more direct threat while Ara acted much more insidious, mostly through her agents like Jobe, in spite of Jobe also made a deal with Moloch on behalf of Ara.
Once one of the leading Fallen Angels, Moloch was banished into Hell and joined Triggers Hell, the earliest Dark Empire ever formed. However, Moloch quit Triggers Hell after Leohart the Prince of Hell became the leader of Hell. Then, Moloch managed to conquer Purgatory to corrupt its soul and made it his dominion in order to bring the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse to take form, but due to a duel with Ara Astaroth which ended up being tied, Moloch was severely weakened and had to rely on his minions to gather soul and energy for him.. He influenced many things happened within and without Sleepy Hollow, since he believed that the Two Witness will be originated from there. He was also behind the infamous disappearance of Roanoke Colony as well as the starvation of Jamestown. The fear of Moloch and many other unholy forces also spawned fear within citizens, and that kind of fear spawned the Salem Witch Trials.
Before and during the Revolutionary War, Moloch supported the British Empire secretly because of their heavy oppression, and he had made his Hessian mercenaries and demonic troops to spy into British Army. He also turned Ichabod's best friend, Abraham van Brunt, into the Horseman of Death.
In 2000, Moloch turned Ichabod's son, Jeremy Crane into the Horseman of War and treated him as a pawn before he came into the life of Abbie & Jenny Mills. He also orchestrated the death of Nick Hawley's parents since they were bounty hunters working with the Hexenmeisters, and he made a plan to summon the first two Horsemen into Sleepy Hollow so that he could raise Hell on Earth.
In the Old Timeline (described in the original Sleepy Hollow series, before Sword of Kings Saga AA timeline), Moloch was assumed destroyed by Jeremy using the Sword of Methuselah. However, with the help of Michael Langdon from future, Moloch was resurrected and became stronger, so he started his cycle of Horsemen once again by turning Christine Van Bilj into a new Horseman of War, turning Carl Robinson and later Dark Arzonia into Conquest, and in the end, turning Dahlia Hawthorne into Famine. If there was not the Hidden One who succeeded in sealing the Horsemen so that he would rule alone, Moloch win definitely win in bringing upon the chaotic Apocalypse and turn the world upside down.
It was also revealed that Moloch built up a Dark Empire in an alternate universe known as the United Kingdom of America, so he became stronger and stronger, lurking into his world while manipulating more attack on the Witnesses. Being the Thirteenth and Final Tribulation, Moloch is a sadistic, horrible and cruel fiend, also a children slayer and more notably, a corrupter. Being the darkest presence in Sleepy Hollow and the overarching villain of the entire LOTM: WoSH storyline responsible for all evil in Sleepy Hollow, even far beyond the Headless Horseman, Ancitif, William Howe, Atticus Nevins, the Pied Piper, Henry Parrish, Solomon Kent, Gina Lambert, Pandora and Banastre Tarleton.
When Moloch rose from the ashes after he was seemly destroyed, he soon rises up stronger and even worse than before. He managed to conquer a parallel universe and build his own Dark Empire, lurking and watching the Witnesses fighting against many malevolent creature before luring them into a painting to his dystopia kingdom. Eventually, Moloch revealed his dystopia kingdom to the whole Multi-Universe, the influence went so far that even Leohart the Prince of Hell could feel it. Moloch finally reached to the peak of his power into Multi-Universal threat and start corrupting, destroying and crushing anyone who dare to stand into his way.
After finally destroyed by Team Witnesses and their allies' combined force, Moloch's spirit was distorted and turned into a malevolent void of blackness that could never ever unleash his power or take actions.

Moloch is the biblical name of a Canaanite god associated with child sacrifice. The name of this deity is also sometimes spelled Molech, Milcom, or Malcam.
The name Moloch results from a dysphemic vocalisation in the Second Temple period of a theonym based on the root mlk "king". There are a number of Canaanite gods with names based on this root, which became summarily associated with Moloch, including Biblical מַלְכָּם Malkam "great king" (KJV Milcom), which appears to refer to a god of the Ammonites, as well as Tyrian Melqart and others.
Rabbinical tradition depicted Moloch as a bronze statue heated with fire into which the victims were thrown. This has been associated with reports by Greco-Roman authors on the child sacrifices in Carthage to Baal Hammon, especially since archaeological excavations since the 1920s have produced evidence for child sacrifice in Carthage as well as inscriptions including the term MLK, either a theonym or a technical term associated with sacrifice. In interpretatio graeca, the Phoenician god was identified with Cronus, due to the parallel mytheme of Cronus devouring his children.
Otto Eissfeldt in 1935 argued that mlk was not to be taken as a theonym at all but as a term for a type of fire sacrifice, and that *lĕmōlek "as a molk-sacrifice" had been reinterpreted as the name of a Canaanite idol following the Deuteronomic reform under Josiah (r. 640–609 BC). According to Eissfeldt, this 7th-century reform abolished the child sacrifice that had been happening.
Moloch has been used figuratively in English literature from John Milton's Paradise Lost (1667) to Allen Ginsberg's "Howl" (1955), to refer to a person or thing demanding or requiring a very costly sacrifice.

The World (XXI) is a trump or Major Arcana card in the tarot deck. It is usually the final card of the Major Arcana or tarot trump sequence. A naked woman hovers or dances above the Earth holding a staff in each hand, surrounded by a green wreath, being watched by various creatures. In older decks, these are usually a tetramorph, a human face or head, a lion, an ox, and an eagle, the symbols of the four Evangelists. The four figures in the corners of the card are also referenced in the Book of Revelation, 4:7, where the throne of God is described: "And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle."
Later decks avoid such overt Christian symbolism, or ignore it altogether, choosing to explain these observers as representatives of the natural world, or the kingdom of beasts. According to astrological tradition, the Lion is Leo, a fire sign; the Bull or calf is Taurus, an earth sign; the Man is Aquarius, an air sign; and the Eagle is Scorpio, a water sign. These signs also represent the classical four elements.
In some decks the wreath is an ouroborous biting its own tail. In the Thoth Tarot designed by Aleister Crowley, this card is called "The Universe." The World represents an ending to a cycle of life, a pause in life before the next big cycle beginning with the fool. The figure is at once male and female, above and below, suspended between the heavens and the earth. It is completeness. It is also said to represent cosmic consciousness; the potential of perfect union with the One Power of the universe. It tells us full happiness is also to give back to the world, sharing what we have learned or gained.
According to Robert M. Place in his book The Tarot, the four beasts on the World card represent the fourfold structure of the physical world, which frames the sacred center of the world, a place where the divine can manifest. Sophia, meaning Prudence or Wisdom (the dancing woman in the center), is spirit or the sacred center, the fifth element. It is the fourth of the Cardinal virtues in the Tarot. The lady in the center is thus a symbol of the goal of mystical seekers. In some older decks, this central figure is Christ, in others it is Hermes. Whenever it comes up, this card represents what is truly desired.
In the storyline, Moloch represents the Reversed World Arcana, which represents emptiness, non-perfection as well as pessimism. After allowing the United Kingdom of America risen above Prime Earth after Zodiac Saga, Moloch has the world just about to be handed to him on a silver platter, and he's still not satisfied. After all of his avatars was destroyed, Moloch showed an inability to grow after shedding the parts of himself he deemed unnecessary, assuming he knows what's best for everyone when he really doesn't, and a lack of gratification from the end of the "game" he played with the Witnesses.

Since he had several forms and vessels, Moloch's physical apperance varies, but his true form is shown to be a hideous, menacing and towering demon with a pair of large horns and gray skin, but during his materialization, Moloch's gray skin shedded and showed a much darker face. Originally, Moloch used to be a handsome fallen angel who rebelled against God alongside Lucifer. As a result of his damnation, Moloch's beauty and grace eventually shedded down forever after he fell from grace, being banished into depths of Hell and transformed into a demon.
The Malice of Moloch, a type of demon formed from Moloch's soul, often took form in a mist of smoke with a dragon head, until they earned their physical form. The physical forms of Moloch's Malice varied dependant on their vessel. For examples:

Melancholia's Malice of Moloch, which called "herself" as Mercedes the Merciless, is shown to be a horny and exposed female demon.

Human Vessel - The Messenger of Dusk[]
Moloch, while inside the body of the Messenger of Dusk, fully resurected after absorbing Carl's Malice of Moloch
After having his physical body destroyed by Jeremy Crane / Henry Parrish using the Sword of Methuselah, the remaining essence of Moloch was gathered by Dark Arzonia. In order to restore Moloch's new form, Dark Arzonia turned Carl into the Horseman of Conquest, using him as her tool while trying to merge it with Carl's Malice of Moloch to create a new body for Moloch.
To achieve this, Dark Arzonia allowed the essense of Prime Earth's Moloch to possess Lymon, also known as the Messenger of Dusk, who was the captured former leader of Hexenmeister Community. While possessing the Messenger of Dusk, Moloch gained a much more human appearance by no doubt, but still he rarely showed emotions on his face. Meanwhile, Planet Sorensen's Moloch still stayed inside the body of Washington, while posing as the King Washington, but as time went by, the face of King Washington showed signs of demonic corruption and possession, becoming more and more demonic and hideous.

King Washington
Another half of Moloch, which is Planet Sorensen's Moloch aka King Washington, acts much more out-and-proud than his Prime Earth counterpart due to his plots of conquering Planet Sorensen had already succeeded thanks to Gladius Grapefruit and Dark Arzonia (again). In his King Washington form, Moloch wore golden crown and robes of black, blue, red and yellow, but he didn't consider his physical appearance important, only caring about waging war against his enemies and crusing them with iron fist.
The Sorensen Moloch and Prime Earth Moloch shared the same mind due to being two counterparts of one same demon. After the death of Michael Langdon and Mercedes the Merciless, with the sacrifise of the Messenger of Dusk, Moloch had to escape and fused into his King Washington vessel and his avatar, vowing vengence against Team Witness.
Final Form - Garden of Invasion[]
During the final battle, Moloch had all of his avatars and every single vessels destroyed, but eventually he took control over the Planet Sorensen-444's soul itself and fused with his own base, the Garden of Invasion, driving it to unleash the final attack against humanity by turning the world into a lifeless desert.
Garden of Invasion
Upon its arrival, the Garden of Invasion started to unleash monsters all across the world, begginning to torture and kill all beings on both Earth and Planet Sorensen-444 (now fused together) in a slow and painful torment. The process world lasted for 200 days full of slow torment and pain, and that's why known as the Two Hundred Days of Darkness. By fusing the remnants of Tribulation Tower into the Garden of Invasion, Moloch's bodiless essence resided inside the core of the Garden, where he took Jeremy Crane captive.
However, this was not his only trick, as he summoned the Eternal Soldier as his new vessel (as this was the greatest fear of Lara Thomas and Diana Thomas) within the Tower of Tribulation, as soon as Lara and Diana arrived inside to destroy Moloch's final form. In his final form, Moloch no longer showed any physical resemblence to any angels, demons or even monsters. All of his remaining sanity had shattered and turned into an embodiment of pure anger, hatred and destruction.

Moloch got angry over the Headless Horseman's capture
Showing no emotions, not even he ever laughed or smiled, Moloch shows himself as a ruthless and relentless Fallen Angel whose only goal is to unleash the Apocalypse and destroy and subjugate all who live.
His actions drew many forces secretly against him, most notably the Team Witness and their allies, the Sleepy Hollow Freemasons, the Hexenmeister Community, the Order of Flourish and the Agency 355, all gathered in order to fight against him, while the Witch Cult and Iscariot Section XIII worked to fight against The Revelation of Qliphoth's dark forces, which is implied to be another dark influence of the storyline, in spite of the Astaroth King's influence is a lot more insidious when it compared to Moloch's influence. Unlike most of the villains mentioned above who are either tragic or having reasons/excuses to do their crimes, Moloch's vile is absolutely unreasonable. He merely brings chaos for chaos and nothing more. Trapped in Purgatory, Moloch steadily corrupts humans to act as his servants and even the husk of his avatars.
The Washingtonians, politicians on Planet Sorensen-444 which all fell under Moloch's corruption
The major figures of Founding Fathers on the dark Planet Sorensen-444 fell under his corruption, with Washington on that planet was killed and possessed by an avatar of Moloch, becoming the Dark Empire's tyrannical and violent ruler known as King George Washington. Amongst the nine Lords of Sin, Moloch represents the sin of wrath for his constant torments towards his minions and his zero-tolerance to failure.
In fact, King Washington is only revealed to be one of the many avatars of Moloch's separated will, with the original Moloch was still inside Purgatory. There was also two avatars both known as the Malice of Moloch, that was released by Moloch to possess the bodies of Carl Robinson and Emperor Mateus, respectively, in order to oversee their actions and influenced them.
Moloch corrupted Abraham and made him the Horseman of death
Those avatars had their own will, so even the original Moloch was seemly destroyed by the Sword of Methuselah, the avatars of Moloch still lived on and would be used in bringing Moloch back. Only destroying all of those avatars before destroying the original Moloch will put an end to Moloch's reign of terror.
Throughout years, he led his fanatic ritual to rise terror on the land. Moloch turns humans into monsters and orchestrates murder after murder, punishing failure with brutal execution or torture. His Hessian minions killed poor Abraham van Brunt, the former best friend of Ichabod and the ex-fiancé of Katrina, and Moloch made Abraham to Deal with the Devil by transforming him into the Horseman of Death, while Lady Van Tassel manipulated the Horseman to do her own bidding against Van Tassel Family, which made Moloch infuriated. Abraham becomes the Horseman of Death in return for Moloch promising him Ichabod's beloved Katrina, while Moloch imprisoned Katrina in Purgatory and never released her again, never fulfilling his promise to Abraham in spite of the latter's undying loyalty towards him.

13 years prior to Ichabod's resurrection, Moloch corrupted Ichabod's son, Jeremy Crane (later known as Henry Parrish), turning him into the Horseman of War and setting him against his parents while informing Henry he is only a servant who should follow his will. In process, Moloch brushed the memories of both the witness Abbie Mills and her sister Jenny, causing Jenny went into the Tarrytown Psych.
Later, Moloch corrupted Abbie’s cop friend and partner, Andy Brooks, making him as his pawn and soon killed Brooks brutally when he failed to arrest Ichabod, just like he did to zillions of zealots who worshiped and assisted him. Even so, Moloch then revived Brooks as an undead necromancer and later transformed him into one of his demon minions, causing Brooks' mental state worsened What is worse, in Moloch’s mind, none of his Horsemen is meaningful for him. Even Henry had realized how selfish and ruthless the Demon King truly is, and he was so horrified and disgusted that he ultimately ended up betraying the demon to save his parents.
From everything we know, Moloch is a pure, deliberate evil monster. He seeks to corrupt, destroy, and bring about the End of Days without any costs, much like a Machiavellian dictator. His minions, whoever they are, are all but expendable pawns to him, and he does not suffer fools, being very unforgiving of failure. He's also a liar, who is manipulative, cold-hearted, inhuman, hypocritical and dishonest to the people who trust or need him. Any promises he makes mean nothing as he will break any if it suits him. He will make use of any method possible to meet his ends, no matter how deceitful and underhanded, and cares not how many lives suffer to achieve his goals, unconcerned about whether the acts would plunge humanity into Despair Event Horizon - for he is always there in order to make humanity hopeless, no reason other than that.

Moloch's Avatars, also known as Moloch's Malice, is a designation for some demonic spirits connected to Moloch, the Greater-Scope Villain of LOTM: Witnesses of Sleepy Hollow and the primary antagonist of LOTM: Star Spangled Crown. Types of Moloch's Avatars include
The soul fragment of Moloch possessing certain kinds of people. This includes but not limited to the Malice of Moloch, Dark Emperor Mateus and King George Washington
The inner dark insanity within certain people lurking in an insidious manner, that became Moloch's Eyes to spy on those people. This includes but not limited to Mercedes the Merciless, Hundred-Eyes and Evil Christine (in later stories). Normally, those beings have free will though they were related to Moloch's soul directly
Demons like Twelve Nethers that are merely created by Moloch but have their free will and free soul (that wasn't fully related to Moloch himself) isn't enough. Those Avatars are either controlled by Moloch's own mind, have connections to Moloch himself and can feel each others' presence, even for a brief time. Those Avatars are the reason to make Moloch survive all sorts of death. Only by killing or condemning all of those counterparts before facing the real Moloch can the Witnesses to finally take down this tyrannical demon king. This makes Moloch's Avatars being one of the most recurring villainous faction throughout the storyline.
The Malice of Moloch, with its true name as Moloch and also known as the Firenza Family Curse, Evil Carl, Moloch's Shadow, Moloch's Malice and Corrupted Carl Robinson, is the soul fragment of Moloch that combined with The Blackness. It took its form when Moloch cursed the Firenza Family Bloodline and using the newborn and formerly innocent Carl Robinson as his vessel. It was later used like a key tool by Michael in order to revive Moloch, and after that, the Malice of Moloch gained a new body and merged with his original counterpart, reborn as a unique, new and improved Moloch.

At first, Moloch's Malice lacked of its own free will. Due to its nature of being embodiment of Moloch's remaining hatred and wrath, it only operated via the Blackness and the remaining will of Moloch inside Carl's body. However, as soon as Carl arrived at Sleepy Hollow and got closer to its original self, the Malice of Moloch gained its or "his" will after that, and "he" became essentially one and the same with the original Moloch. Therefore, at this time, unlike her future self she possessed, the present-day Melancholia realized that cannot manipulate Carl alone using the Malice of Moloch anymore.
By the end of the Conquest Arc, the Malice of Moloch finally revealed his true nature. He left Carl's body and merged with the shattered soul of the original Moloch, revealing to a horrified Carl that he was manipulated by Moloch all alone in order to revive himself.
Arguably, even Michael and Melancholia are a chess piece of the Malice of Moloch, which represented the original Moloch's will, much less is Carl who was his once vessel. It manipulated Carl after the latter arrived at Sleepy Hollow, in order to contact with the Horseman of Conquest and lead Carl to be take over by the Horsemen, only wanting him to become the original Moloch's pawn to revive himself via consuming the virus power from infected Roanoke ghost citizens.

Moloch's shadow inside Carl's illusion
After Carl was born with Firenza Family Curse, the Blackness itself began to shape itself inside Carl due to Moloch's soul ability, and a demonic shadow made of nothing but pure evil, selfishness and hatred took form inside Carl and took over his soul. It was known as the Malice of Moloch, who is similar to The Fallen's Essence. It was made from Moloch's malicious soul and became the only representation of Moloch's soul after his defeat in the Old Timeline, struck by Henry Parrish with a sword.
Therefore, it could be arguably said that Moloch was still alive inside the body of Carl via the Blackness, influencing him to do evil bidding until he finally consumed his sanity and took over him. Michael Langdon and Melancholia was aware of this, and so they planned to manipulate Carl via making the Malice of Moloch take over him.
Eventually, due to Melancholia's manipulation, Carl's soul merged with the Malice of Moloch after the host gave up his humanity and sanity (representing via the crucifix given to him by Maria in order to bless him) before locking it inside his mind, allowing the Malice of Moloch taking over him fully and was ready to strike against those who had wronged him (or at least he thought).

Outside of helping Michael to achieve his goal to bring Moloch's will to a future era where he was destroyed, Melancholia had another purpose when she did this manipulation to Carl in order to feel like manipulating Moloch to do her bidding so that she could spit on the real Moloch for killing her family and friends in front of her.
During Conquest Arc, the Malice of Moloch also led Carl to see a vision from the Horseman of Conquest, and it drove Carl to accept the Horseman mantle. What was more, the Moloch's Malice would become Michael's key to reshape the original Moloch's shattered soul, right after the original Moloch was cast back to Purgatory and weakened. The original Moloch would merge with the Malice of Moloch from Carl after the host became useless. Moloch's Malice became the only thing that fully represented Moloch's influence in World War III, and that influence was delivered via Carl, the boy he had cursed so many years ago.
An alternate version of George Washington appeared on Planet Sorenson-444 that had more than a handful of contradiction upon historical events.
On this planet, Washington was a power-hungry tyrant who was corrupted by the influence of Moloch after the renegades from the Order of Flourish, including the likes of Phyllis Peach (who renounced her vowed for discovering Lord Helio's polarizing past) and Gladius Grapefruit (who was Moloch's spy and apprentice all along alongside his parents), helped Moloch to establish the rule of the United Kingdom of America on this palleral Earth.

King Washington pushed down rebellion forces
Using his corruptive influence, Moloch allowed an avatar of himself took control on Washington on Sorensen Planet, and he made this Washington his vessel, turning himself into King Washington. While planning against Team Witness, Moloch used King Washington as his new vessel in case his Prime Earth counterpart was destroyed, just like how he did upon Emperor Mateus and taking control over Mateus' empire many years ago.
Soon, with the help of Gladius and Dark Arzonia, King Washington managed to put down rebels and started his dominion over the Dark Empire. He later fully took into actions alongside other counterparts of Moloch after the death of both Phyllis Peach and Michael Langdon, fully making the UKA and its followers into charges.

After Michael's death, the Prime Earth counterpart of Moloch - who is gravely injured because of the Messenger of Dusk's sacrifice - had to merge with King Washington. The full form of King Washington appeared as one of the many faces of Moloch after Nether Sorensen the Demon Prince merged the Earth and Planet Sorensen-444. He also planned to manipulate the Cult of Dragons into summoning Tiamat, the Queen of All Dragons, upon the new world he created where he could rule above chaos and disorder.
However, due to the overuse of his demonic power, the body of King Washington soon began to frail and rot away. The body of King Washington was soon destroyed by Katrina on his throne, but his spirit lived on and was still under Moloch's control. Moloch prompted King Washington into finding a new vessel in order to restore his power. To achieve this, King Washington fused Benedict Arnold and Isreal Putnam on Sorensen Planet into his conjoined vessel to continue his plan. However, that eventually failed once more with the collapse of Tribulation Tower, destroying King Washington once more. Nevertheless, the remaining hatred and anger of Moloch, King Washington and other forms of Moloch's Malice started to accumulate inside the Garden of Invasion, which invoked the endgame of Moloch during the final arc.
Overall, King Washington is the most regular form of Moloch during the entire LOTM: Star Spangled Crown prior to its final arc.

Evil Christine is the darker self of Christine Van Bilj, born from Christine's own insanity came from being used by her own father she once respected. Later, after being separated from Christine, who would move on to become Kristen Kiwifruit, Evil Christine later became a messenger to Moloch while absorbing one of his soul essence in order to spy on the Good Christine, but that was over after Evil Christine was defeated by Kristen with the help of a defected Nether Kaysie the Demon Princess, marking the end of Moloch's control over Van Bilj Family

Moloch, or "King George Washington, First of His Name", is the infamous Demon king and the founder of a dystopia region named the "United Kingdom of America" or the "UKA" in an alternate reality. Being the Thirteenth and Final Tribulation, Moloch is a sadistic, horrible and cruel fiend, also a children slayer and a corrupter. Being the darkest presence in Sleepy Hollow and the overarching villain of the entire LOTM: WoSH storyline responsible for all evil in Sleepy Hollow, even far beyond the Headless Horseman, Ancitif, William Howe, Atticus Nevins, the Pied Piper, Henry Parrish, Solomon Kent, Gina Lambert, Pandora and Banastre Tarleton, Moloch shows himself as a ruthless and relentless Fallen Angel whose only goal is to unleash the Apocalypse and destroy and subjugate all who live. Unlike most of the villains mentioned above who are either tragic or having reasons/excuses to do their crimes, Moloch's vile is absolutely unreasonable. He merely brings chaos for chaos and nothing more. Trapped in Purgatory, Moloch steadily corrupts humans to act as his servants. Throughout years, he led his fanatic ritual to rise terror on the land. Moloch turns humans into monsters and orchestrates murder after murder, punishing failure with brutal execution or torture. His Hessian minions killed poor Abraham van Brunt, the former best friend of Ichabod and the ex-fiancé of Katrina, and Moloch made Abraham to Deal with the Devil by transforming him into the Horseman of Death. Abraham becomes the Horseman of Death in return for Moloch promising him Ichabod's beloved Katrina, while Moloch imprisons Katrina in Purgatory and never though of her again. 13 years prior to Ichabod's resurrection, Moloch corrupted Ichabod's son, Jeremy Crane (later known as Henry Parrish), turning him into the Horseman of War and setting him against his parents while informing Henry he is only a servant who should follow his will. In process, Moloch brushed the memories of both the witness Abbie Mills and her sister Jenny, causing Jenny went into the Tarrytown Psych. Later, Moloch corrupted Abbie’s cop friend and partner, Andy Brooks, making him as his pawn and soon killed Brooks brutally when he failed to arrest Ichabod, just like he did to zillions of zealots who worshiped and assisted him. Even so, Moloch then revived Brooks as an undead necromancer and later transformed him into one of his demon minions, causing Brooks' mental state worsened. What is worse, in Moloch’s mind, none of his Horsemen is meaningful for him. Even Henry had realized how selfish and ruthless the Demon King truly is, and he was so horrified and disgusted that he ultimately ended up betraying the demon to save his parents. From everything we know, Moloch is a pure, deliberate evil monster. He seeks to corrupt, destroy, and bring about the End of Days without any costs, much like a Machiavellian dictator. His minions, whoever they are, are all but expendable pawns to him, and he does not suffer fools, being very unforgiving of failure. He's also a liar, who is manipulative, cold-hearted, inhuman, hypocritical and dishonest to the people who trust or need him. Any promises he makes mean nothing as he will break any if it suits him. He will make use of any method possible to meet his ends, no matter how deceitful and underhanded, and cares not how many lives suffer to achieve his goals, unconcerned about whether the acts would plunge humanity into Despair Event Horizon - for he is always there in order to make humanity hopeless, no reason other than that. When Moloch rose from the ashes after he was seemly destroyed, he soon rises up stronger and even worse than before. He managed to conquer a parallel universe and build his own Dark Empire, lurking and watching the Witnesses fighting against many malevolent creature before luring them into a painting to his dystopia kingdom. Eventually, Moloch revealed his dystopia kingdom to the whole Multi-Universe, the influence went so far that even Leohart the Prince of Hell could feel it. Moloch finally reached to the peak of his power into Multi-Universal threat and start corrupting, destroying and crushing anyone who dare to stand into his way.
King Washington[]
"Do you want to know what people really want? They don't need a president. They need a king, and so let me give them one true king of this whole world God forsook many years ago!"
Being the human form of Moloch in the original timeline, King George Washington is the founder of UKA. Being an alternate version of the original George Washington, the "King Washington" is exactly the original founding father's polar opposite counterpart. Serving as one of the final antagonists in Moloch Saga, King Washington established a ruthless tyranny not better than King George the Third, the King of England. Moloch's King Washington form is more deceiving and manipulating as he had controlled Freemasons of alternate reality into joining Illuminati against their free will, and he started his conquest by using Four Horsemen to unleash terror and pain. King Washington believed that people need a king instead of a president, so after his return from the grave, the power of Moloch extends so great that he managed to track down the Grand Grimoire. Using it, Michael opened a portal and helped Moloch went through the time back into an alternate reality in 1781, the year when Ichabod costed his life. Moloch altered the reality. There, Moloch tortured and killed the parallel Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson. He killed and took over the body of the parallel George Washington, taking his King Washington persona, and then finally he trapped Katrina and her unborn child in Purgatory, making Ichabod unable to revive. He turned the supposed-to-be peaceful republic nation into a horrible kingdom of chaos, known as the United Kingdom of America. The alternate Katrina begins to suffer torture from Moloch, succumbs to her insanity and becomes ruthless and corrupt, just like her evil stepmother is. Then, she abandoned her name of Katrina and renames herself into L'amor Van Brunt, becoming an enforcer of the UKA, husband of the Horseman of Death, and the slayer of her family. As the parallel Betsy Ross refuses to sew a flag with a reverted pentagram, knowing it to be a symbol of the devils, Moloch/King Washington starts to deceive her as George Washington. However, Betsy then sees through the lies and accused "Washington" in front of her to be a pretender. King Washington is so furious that he turned the parallel Betsy into the Spreader of Poisons and sews the flag himself, announcing the new reign of the Hell have succeeded.
Malice of Moloch[]
"Do I seem terrifying to you? Don't worry. It is yet to be the time when all of your hope are shattered and reduced into nothing but darkness and despair. It will be the dying of the light, and nothing to rage against it!"
The Malice of Moloch or Moloch's Shadow is a soul fragment of Moloch fueled when Duke Firenza and his newborn son, Carl Robinson, was accursed with The Blackness. Fueled with nothing but hatred of darkness and his will to dominate the entire Multi-Universe, this monster of a fragment possessed Carl and made him with a demonic arm that was greatly mutated, also driving Carl into misery due to his curse. At first, Moloch's Malice was nothing but a mere remain of its monstrous original self, and yet when he had controlled Carl after the latter abandoned his humanity, Moloch's Malice soon gain full control inside Carl. He then bombed the railway station of Madrid, spreading a toxic fume made of Carl's mutated blood and driving many citizens insane. Under his influence, Carl also betrayed his friends and disobeyed Maria's order, killing Mary Spencer and was the direct source that drove Esther on the evil side by injecting the blood of Carl into herself. He had played on Carl's sadness and despair to use him as a pawn, his corrupting influence destroying Carl's body from within. The hidden moral agency of evil inside the Malice of Moloch became more obvious when Carl arrived at Sleepy Hollow, merging itself into the original Moloch unknowingly and one and the same to his former self, in order to gain himself a new body. Using innocent citizens to test the enhanced Croatoan Virus in order to incubate his new power source wasn't nice, either, but the real reason the Moloch's Malice is seen as nigh-Ara-level evil is what he did once he didn't need Carl as a host anymore: he subjected Carl to a painful and horrible torture, while reading his mind and doing everything he feared he'd do to her in that order. Under the possession the Horseman of Conquest, Carl hadn't failed Moloch; this was purely for the feelings of spite, and not only that, he infamously claimed to have been kinder with his because he was his vessel once. When Carl's best friend, Matt Butcher, tried to save Carl, Moloch gleefully tortured him out of sheer spite along with a humiliated and tormented Carl, not long before he became fully one and the same to the original Moloch and started his conquest on what later known as Planet Sorensen, building the United Kingdom of America. To some extent, he Malice of Moloch was similar to The Fallen's Essence (that was planning to replace the original Isaac Ray Peram Westcott) and Ara Astaroth's Shadow (that was planning to take control of Katarina Couteau via turning her into Elesis Du Tirial). Ironically, while the Fallen's Essence failed to take over its creator and Ara's Shadow failed to take full control of a heroic character, the Malice of Moloch achieved both of those two types of atrocities.
Dark Emperor Mateus[]
"You have braved the bowels of Hell to reach me. But the hand of man, which deals in false justice and forsaken love, can never hope to defeat the lord master of Hell!"
The Dark Emperor Mateus is the true main antagonist in Mateus Saga. He is the dark half of Emperor Mateus after he was splited into two halves by the Two Witnesses. It turned out that Mateus was once a benevolent person who had eventually gone mad after finding himself to be a descendant of the infamous LightRay Empire, a Dark Empire in the past that caused deaths and misery across the universe. Like Christine Van Bilj, Mateus' insanity was manipulated by the power of Moloch, who created another avatar like the aforementioned Malice of Moloch inside Carl Robinson by merging a part of his soul into Mateus' insanity, blinding his own judgement and did all sort of horrendous and sinister crimes in the town of Sleepy Hollow, with his true power being sealed and could only released by doing whatever Moloch asked him to do. He's also behind the corruption of Feilian the Wind Wings, who turned against Gods of Multi-Universe under Moloch's influence and joined Moloch's forces as well. Under the dark and devious personality, Mateus used the dark spirits released by Serilda of the Abaddon and murdered many people in the town to gain his soul mana. Not only he let Atticus Nevins to sent out the malicious Ancitif, in order to torment Irving and his family, but he also planned his own agenda. After the demise of Michael Langdon, Mateus thought Moloch lost control on the whole situation ever since he lost his most important minion. Planning to turn against Moloch, Mateus works with an escaped Jasmine Porcelain, while Dark Mateus just inside Mateus' Mind Palace and watched its host doing madness. Together, the Dark Mateus and Porcelain used L'amor Van Tassel, an evil counterpart to Katrina Crane, as Mateus' own pawn to hunt down Selina Strawberry and Martin Mint, before releasing the mana of the infamous Dark Heaven, and he also tried to make Porcelain to destroy an orphanage, which ended up as a failure... in spite of killing Martin Mint in process. At the end of Rose and Lolth Saga, Dark Mateus revealed his true nature and took over an insane Mateus completely, forcing him to enforce Moloch's will, as Dark Mateus himself represents Moloch's dark will. Like the original Moloch, Dark Mateus also acted heartless towards his own minions and killed for fun, while he tried very hard to press the kind side of Mateus (later known as the Light Mateus) to hold back whatever Mateus was trying to do. He worked with John Dee in his plans. In spite of feeling disgusted towards Dee's deeds, Dark Mateus did this for fun anyway. After Mateus was split in half, however, Dark Mateus, or what was left in him, absorbed all of the malice and madness inside the body of the original Mateus and became a rabid being. Now, turning into a maniacal homicidal maniac and laughing like a sick monster, Dark Mateus fully revealed himself as just another Malice of Moloch in disguise, and he would hunt down the redeemed Light Emperor for treachery, as well as the Witnesses for attempted to defy him, in any cost, even killing John Dee in the process. The Dark Emperor Mateus is an embodiment of the Dark Empires' sins and made the original Emperor Mateus a monster under human skin.
Mercedes the Merciless[]
"If you don't understand, I'll repeat until you CAN understand! Your name is Melancholia. Your name is Melancholia! Your name is Melancholia! Melancholia! Melancholia! MELANCHOLIA!!!"
Being the only female avatar of Moloch's Will, Mercedes the Merciless, also known as the SERUM Melancholia, departed from her original counterpart and took away no empathy, no insecurity, no bound on her evil deeds. Merciless is formed by a shard of Moloch's soul and the negative emotion of Plaisir Permafrost / Melancholia while maintaining her obedience to Moloch. She is exactly what Melancholia will become if she fully becomes Moloch's slave. Born when her good counterpart suffered from a tragedy, the serum Melancholia was a zealot who was obsessed with Michael Langdon's power and might. Even when she resided in her host's body, the serum Melancholia indirectly manipulated her good counterpart, Plaisir, to becoming a enforcer of Michael Langdon, but due to Plaisir's own good personality still existed inside her body, the evil Melancholia could not take her over completely. However, Plaisir (while under her Melancholia persona) had committed numerous crimes that her original good self shall feel disgusted, including creating a savage sea monster with dead bodies of people she and Michael killed, forming Neo-Hellfire to continue Moloch's legacy, killing a minion who simply did not wake her up in time, and torturing Carl Robinson out of sheer spite. While the good Plaisir (or the good Melancholia) fell in love with Michael simply for some gratefulness, the evil Melancholia manipulated the gratitude in order to drive her original heroic counterpart insane so that the two will become one and the same. She and Michael shall make a plan to overthrow Moloch and corrupt the Roman Catholic Church. Moreover, when some part of the original Melancholia/Plaisir started to awaken, the evil side of Melancholia started to plunge her good counterpart sloiwly into nothingness, forming an internal conflict. The better Melancholia was strained and had to commit those horrid acts or she shall saw her torturous past once again. The pure good side of Plaisir noticed Michael's plan and urged her body to kill him for redemption, but as the evil side took charge, this could not come true. The internal conflict ended after the evil Melancholia was casted out from the body of the good Melancholia, thanks to Dr. Jekyll's serum. However, instead of fading away, the evil Melancholia (now known as the Merciless) turned worse and became a heartless embodiment full of boredom and void of redemption. Feeling empty after losing her body, Merciless desperated trying to send her heroic counterpart back into insanity so that they could fuse together. After killing Dr. Jekyll and, indirectly, killing Mr. Hyde, Merciless realized that the original counterpart's death will kill their evil counterpart casted out by the serum as well. Therefore, the serum Melancholia started to hurt herself to make Plaisir feeling pain, and she forced Plaisir to choose between turning back to madness again, and die alongside her evil counterpart. After her crimes being foiled, the serum Melancholia tried to plunge Plaisir back to insanity by torturing Plaisir's new friends in front of her, trying to recreate the similar event which drove Plaisir into Merciless. Merciless was filled with nothing but evil and madness. She stood out as the most hateful version of Melancholia, ever. She was such a zealous and insane embodiment of evil that her spirit shall be damned in Hell for eternity. Even the original Melancholia, who is at least a well-intentioned extremist, is disgusted.
As a set of walking influence of corruption, all of Moloch's cruelty, violence and atrocities are meant for corruption by inducing all sorts of negative feelings into his victims, even including those that was once kind-hearted and considered "pure".
For example, the most notable victim of Moloch would be none other than the once kind-hearted fairy named Plaisir Permafrost, who had her family killed by Moloch right in front of her, driving her insane and turned into Melancholia, a cold, callous and dark monster who wanted to destroy the world and cleanse the crime and sins of humanity, so that apathy won't ever exist. In spite of working for him, Melancholia resented Moloch and decided to have her own agenda by merging with her future counterpart in World War III, using the blood of Carl Robinson for her own purpose, and enhancing the Croatoan Virus for the Order of Flourish members in the past.

It was revealed that Plaisir would become an utterly irredeemable creature known as Mercedes the Merciless if she finally gave up to her own darkness and obeyed Moloch's will, making her a sadistic monster just like Vira Hermes, but her love and affection towards the second in command of Moloch's army, Michael Langdon, combining her resentment to Moloch, prevented her from becoming such (in spite of this, it's probably due to Michael himself, who is better in pretending).
Moloch is also good at manipulating all sorts of traumatic experiences in order to corrupt humans. For example, he used the resentment and wrath in Ichabod's son, Jeremy Crane (Henry Parrish), to adopt him as his son, while making him the Horseman of War. However, Moloch showed no fathering feelings to Henry and only used him as his servant. Due to being trapped underground for more than 2 centuries, Henry started to hate his parents and was grateful that Moloch saved him from his tomb.
Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse
Thus, Henry devoted himself to Moloch, regarding Moloch as his true father. However, as mentioned above, Moloch corrupted Henry only trying to make the latter a pawn of his army, and it eventually drove Henry into rage and turned against Moloch, defeating Moloch with the Sword of Methuselah when the latter forced him to kill his parents. The corrupting influence of Moloch is so severe, that Henry still resented his father even after he turned against Moloch. In addition, all of the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse (under Moloch's command) are all revealed to be former humans that dealt with Moloch because of the latter's corrupting influence, with Moloch using their inner desires to create hosts for the Horsemen.

By the time Ara visited Moloch in Purgatory, Kaitlyn seemed to know about him and his historic thanks to Ara Astaroth, and claimed Moloch would one day betray Ara Astaroth, resulting in Kaitlyn wrecking havoc upon the mortal world in the hopes his plans would never come true. It's later stated Kaitlyn was beside Ara when she visited Moloch, and watched their battle alongside Moloch's children, the Twelve Nethers.
Even so Kaitlyn never truly feared Moloch and was extremely excited to see such arrogant demon king to be backstabbed and destroyed by Astaroth, which never happened. In term of sense, she was not afraid of him because of her immortallity, considering at the time she was weaker than him. As she became more powerful, she did not long fear nothing beside death itself.
The legendary battle of all Gods, Zoyineain-Demons, Moloch's followers, Cultus Pythonissam magicians against the demons and Dark Mages of Kaitlyn's empire
Despite Kaitlyn's past revolution to dominate humans, her cruelty and status as the most dangerous Dark Mage to have ever lived, Moloch seemed to have no praise or respect for her, and likely saw her as an inferior and treated her as merely mortal, mainly because of her human blood in her veins, something he could easily tell, much like Ara could. Kaitlyn likewise showed no respect toward the Demon King, and laughed for being trapped in such inferior dimension like the Purgatory, much to the latter's fury. It turned out she suffered her karma for being trapped in a prison made by the Gods for thousand years.
In later centuries, Kaitlyn's massive legacy left behind milions of different spells, tactics, grimoires and objects that could help Moloch, the Fallen's Essence and other malicious beings in their conquest. By the time that Kaitlyn was already a demi-goddess, he began to show her a degree of respect by calling her as "Overlady of Darkness", her dreadful nickname before saying she was no longer a child, making her a worth opponent of his wrath and power.
When the Gods of Spectra and all magicians of Cultus Pythonissam arrived on Prime Earth to fight Kaitlyn, who was on the brink of dominating the 0th Multi-Universe, Moloch's shadow and a massive part of his army of minions participated in the battle alongside other evil entities like Scathach, Tech of the End and Set to prevent Kaitlyn from conquering "their future world", only fighting alongside the forces of light because of their selfish reasons.
After Kaitlyn's defeat, Moloch and other forces of evil ended the truce and returned to their activities.

Although working for Moloch as his minion, Plaisir, now known as Melancholia, resented Moloch fiercely due to having her family and friends killed. She worked for Moloch merely out of her own pragmacy, while trying to earn a chance for her to seek revenge upon him. She tried to bring Moloch's darkness back so that she would allowed her beloved benefactor, Michael Langdon, who is Moloch's de facto successor, to rise as the new king of the United Kingdom of America, as soon as she was done with the world and humanity.
However, Melancholia's plan didn't succeed because of the Catholic Rebels, including Maria Arzonia and a redeemed Carl Robinson foiled her action, causing her conciousness returned back to the oast and to be sealed in Purgatory. After leaving Purgatory, under her pretense of loyalty, Melancholia began her new plan to sought vengence against Moloch using Team Witness and the Order of Flourish, while Carl Robinson also planned to break the Malice of Moloch's control so that he could get rid of his Horseman of Conquest mantle. This nearly made Melancholia and Carl on the same side if they weren't still hating each other because of their previous conflict.
Nonetheless, the plan foiled once more because of the Dark Arzonia, who already deduced Melancholia and Carl's betrayl, ever since the beginning. Dark Arzonia fused the Horseman of Conquest as well as the Malice of Moloch - along with its garnering resentment for Carl's rejection - into herself, completelt shattering Melancholia's attempt to destroy Moloch's spirit forever. Later, using Solomon Kent's corpse, Dark Arzonia recreated a new body for Moloch and revived his Earth counterpart. Angered at Melancholia's betrayl, Moloch chained Melancholia into Purgatory and tortured her, which even causing Michael to be disturbed since he still needed Melancholia for his next purpose. This eventually drove Melancholia / Plaisir into a conflict over whether to work with Ichabod Crane or not.

Hidden One declaring his challenge against Moloch
The Hidden One, as a former God of Multi-Universe once known as Etu Ilu, saw Moloch as an enemy just before his fall of grace, merely due to Moloch's demonic identity. However, after betraying Gods and got sealed underneath the Catatombs, the Hidden One's hatred towards Gods humanity began to increase, causing him to see Moloch as a much more personal rival, since now they shared the same goals. After he managed to make Pandora taking over the course and sealed the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse into the Catatombs, the Hidden One's essence asked Moloch for a competition, claiming that they would race against each other in taking over the world, while turning the Blood Game, a recently released Hubert Zodiak's concept of cataclysm, postponed.
However, Moloch already had other things over his mind and attempted to strike back. Thus, he secretly hired Jasmine Porcelain to create chaos by making Gromph Baenre into unleashing Underdark demons, before ordering her to release the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. After releasing all of the Horsemen, Porcelain then gleefully used the power given to her by Lolth upon the Hidden One's core, reviving him and corrupting him into Moloch's own puppet during the final course of battle between the Hidden One and the Witnesses. As the Hidden One was driven into Moloch's insane puppet after Porcelain tainted his godhood, he cursed Moloch by yelling his name before starting an insane rampage. In response, Moloch only claimed that no one shall stand equally in his own game, not even the Gods, before saying that his own revenge was completed.

In spite of Moloch's harsh treatments towards her, Nether Kaysie the Demon Princess is extremely devoted to her father and proclaims that the Nethers only worked with Hubert Zodiak for using him as one of many tools. Like many Nethers, Kaysie once was merely an emotionless and cold demon whose only reason to live is her obedience towards Moloch, her father.
Even after she gained some human emotions as a result of her former human host, Kaysie still remained loyal to Moloch, but it was more than just loyalty. In fact, she was devoted to Moloch since she saw him as a family, as the one who gave her life and wisdom. Therefore, she was working hard not to fail Moloch in order to avoid his wrath.
Kaysie started to doubt herself and her devotion towards Moloch
However, Kaysie later questioned some methods and cruelty towards others, including Jeremy Crane / Henry Parrish after his Horseman armor was destroyed. When Moloch forced Henry to snatch the Sword of Methuselah from Ichabod, regardless of his injury, Kaysie objected her father for the very first time, almost immediately. However, she still showed horror and shock when Henry and Melancholia betrayed Moloch, while Henry stabbed Moloch to death with the Sword of Methuselah.
In Conquest Arc, after Dark Arzonia's arrival, Kaysie, who was already reduced into a lunatic thirst for vengence, had frantically urged Dark Arzonia to use Carl Robinson as a vessel for the Malice of Moloch, so that Moloch will return once again. Kaysie also started to seek vengence against Melancholia and Henry, forcing Melancholia to switch back to Moloch's side once more, and taking away Henry's Horseman of War mantle by force. Nevertheless, after Moloch's return, he didn't show any gratefulness to Kaysie even she participated in his revival. Instead, Moloch was infuriated at her. Soon, Kaysie was under constant abuse once again for failing to protect him from Henry's betrayl. Like Melancholia, Kaysie was forced to get trapped inside the Planet Sorensen-444 and cannot take actions without Moloch's permission.
Even though she remained on the side of Moloch, Kaysie started to doubt Moloch and herself, and this deepened after Moloch permitted Evil Christine to fuse herself with Kaysie, an act against Kaysie's will. However, what made her eventually turned against Moloch is that Evil Christine, who had become the host for Kaysie by force, betrayed her Nether and reported to Moloch about Kaysie's secret past. She told Moloch that Kaysie had once a human vessel from a girl that was affiliated to the Order of Flourish, who was killed due to the effects, but Kaysie gained some human emotions that made her soft. Blaming this as a reason for Kaysie's occation failure, Moloch and Evil Christine decided to revoke Kaysie's Nether title and locked her up inside the Rings of Hell forever.
Finally, Kaysie had enough since she discovered that her constant devotion and success meant nothing for Moloch, while her little failure or some chances that made her act against Moloch's will shall earn her great suffering. Therefore, Kaysie betrayed Moloch in turn and helped Ichabod Crane and Kristen Kiwifruit to take down Evil Christine once and for all, avenging Colin. After this, Kaysie had become a traitor for the United Kingdom of America, and she no longer called Moloch as father. Instead, she adressed him in his name so that she could spite him and his uncaring nature.

Moloch is similiar with Father, for both of them are creators of their notable minions (the Seven Homunculi to Father and the Four Horsemen to Moloch) yet only see them as tools and does not care for them.
The only sagas that Moloch doesn't serve the central threat are Pandora Saga (where the Hidden One serves as the main antagonist), Harvest Saga (where the Order of Flourish serves as the main antagonistic faction) and Black Host Saga (where the Hidden One's Army, again, serves as the main threat), while the rest of the story have his full-fledge influence.
Moloch has been traditionally interpreted as the name of a god, possibly a god surnamed "the king" (cf. adon "lord", baʿal "master"), but pejoratively mispronounced as Molek instead of Melek using the vocalisation of Hebrew בּשֶׁת bosheth "shame", distinguishing it from the title of melek "king", written identically in the consonantal text, which is also frequently given to Yahweh.
Most archaeologists supposed that infant sacrifices occurred in Cartaginian religion, related to Moloch according to Cartaginian theology. Lawrence E. Stager, who directed the excavations of the Carthage Tophet in the 1970s, initially believed that infant sacrifice was practiced there, and his early opinion influenced later historians. Paolo Xella of the National Research Council in Rome summarized the textual, epigraphical, and archaeological evidence for Carthaginian infant sacrifice. Some modern scholars - and currently Lawrence E. Stager himself - argue that evidence of Carthaginian child sacrifice is sketchy at best and that these reports are more likely to have been a Roman libel against the Carthaginians to justify their conquest and destruction.

Commentators have compared these accounts with similar ones from Greek and Latin sources speaking of the offering of children by fire as sacrifices in the Punic city of Carthage, a Phoenician colony. Cleitarchus, Diodorus Siculus and Plutarch all mention burning of children as an offering to Cronus or Saturn, that is to Baal Hammon, the chief god of Carthage. It has been suggested that the practice of child sacrifice may have been exaggerated in Roman post-war propaganda in order to make their arch-enemies seem cruel and less civilized.
The name of the god of the Ammonites is also given as מַלְכָּם malkam ("great king"),) rendered as Milcom in KJV. Moloch is considered to be the overarching antagonist in LOTM: Witnesses of Sleepy Hollow and the most of its related stories as a whole, but he is by no means the overarching antagonist in the entire CIS Productions' stories. The honor goes to Sequined Sadist and Ragnarok Iblis, with the latter as the overarching antagonist of the Magic Side due to being the Devil.
It is implied that Moloch knows the Devil's true form but has no intrest to undermine her. However, he holds great comtempt to Sequined and Spectra due to being casted out by Paradise for participating the ancient rebellion against God.
Moloch's first defeat shares similarities to the death of Aerys II Targaryen: Both of them ordered their most loyal minions (Henry Parrish for Moloch; Jaime Lannister for Aerys II) to slay their family members (Katrina Crane for Moloch; Tywin Lannister for Aerys), right before their order enraged their minions and they soon died under their minions' hand without honor.
Angra Mainyu
Some aspect of Moloch is neither fully based on his original counterpart in theology nor Satan himself, but Angra Mainyu,also called by his Middle Persian name "Ahriman", who is the powerful god of evil and destruction and darkness in Zoroastrianism and is comparable to The Devil in some Judao-Christian religions. However, unlike most portrayals of Satan, Angra Mainyu is seen as a deity rather than a demon (though the two can overlap). Like Satan who is the enemy of God, Angra Mainyu is the adversary of his twin brother Ahura Mazda, the Zoroastrian god of light and truth. Angra Mainyu is seen as a chaos god as well as a destroyer deity - although he is also seen as "evil", he is not recognized as a god of evil, though he does come close. His name means "destructive spirit" or "frightful spirit".
Moloch's first defeat is also similar to the death of Emperor Palpatine, as well as his corrupting influnce and heartless personality. He can be considered to be Palpatine to Henry's Darth Vader.

Both of them are "parents", since Moloch is the adoptive father of Henry Parrish and Westcott is the creator and "father" of Marina Arusu. And yet, neither of them have fathering feelings. Moloch only saw Henry as a soldier that should obey and also views him as being expendable; while Marina, who wanted to feel care and love, only ended up dying and was not mourn or care by Westcott anyway.
Moloch is also similiar to Malcom/Peter Pan in Once Upon a Time, for they were both heartless, loveless and ruthless Complete Monsters who has no fathering love. Also, both of their death were caused by their "sons" (Henry for Moloch and Mr. Gold for Malcom).

Aleister Crowley (/ˈæl.i.stə ˈkroʊli/; born Edward Alexander Crowley; 12 October 1875 – 1 December 1947) was an English occultist, ceremonial magician, poet, painter, novelist, and mountaineer. He founded the religion of Thelema, identifying himself as the prophet entrusted with guiding humanity into the Æon of Horus in the early 20th century. A prolific writer, he published widely over the course of his life.
Born to a wealthy Plymouth Brethren family in Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, Crowley rejected the fundamentalist Christian faith to pursue an interest in Western esotericism. He was educated at the University of Cambridge, where he focused his attentions on mountaineering and poetry, resulting in several publications. Some biographers allege that here he was recruited into a British intelligence agency, further suggesting that he remained a spy throughout his life. In 1898 he joined the esoteric Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, where he was trained in ceremonial magic by Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers and Allan Bennett. Moving to Boleskine House by Loch Ness in Scotland, he went mountaineering in Mexico with Oscar Eckenstein, before studying Hindu and Buddhist practices in India. He married Rose Edith Kelly and in 1904 they honeymooned in Cairo, Egypt, where Crowley claimed to have been contacted by a supernatural entity named Aiwass, who provided him with The Book of the Law, a sacred text that served as the basis for Thelema. Announcing the start of the Æon of Horus, The Book declared that its followers should "Do what thou wilt" and seek to align themselves with their True Will through the practice of magick.
After an unsuccessful attempt to climb Kanchenjunga and a visit to India and China, Crowley returned to Britain, where he attracted attention as a prolific author of poetry, novels, and occult literature. In 1907, he and George Cecil Jones co-founded a Thelemite order, the A∴A∴, through which they propagated the religion. After spending time in Algeria, in 1912 he was initiated into another esoteric order, the German-based Ordo Templi Orientis (O.T.O.), rising to become the leader of its British branch, which he reformulated in accordance with his Thelemite beliefs. Through the O.T.O., Thelemite groups were established in Britain, Australia, and North America. Crowley spent the First World War in the United States, where he took up painting and campaigned for the German war effort against Britain, later revealing that he had infiltrated the pro-German movement to assist the British intelligence services. In 1920 he established the Abbey of Thelema, a religious commune in Cefalù, Sicily where he lived with various followers. His libertine lifestyle led to denunciations in the British press, and the Italian government evicted him in 1923. He divided the following two decades between France, Germany, and England, and continued to promote Thelema until his death.
Crowley gained widespread notoriety during his lifetime, being a recreational drug experimenter, bisexual and an individualist social critic. He was denounced in the popular press as "the wickedest man in the world" and a Satanist. Crowley has remained a highly influential figure over Western esotericism and the counter-culture, and continues to be considered a prophet in Thelema. He is the subject of various biographies and academic studies.

Emperor Meiji (明治天皇 Meiji-tennō, November 3, 1852 – July 30, 1912), or Meiji the Great (明治大帝 Meiji-taitei), was the 122nd Emperor of Japan according to the traditional order of succession, reigning from February 3, 1867 until his death on July 30, 1912. He presided over a time of rapid change in the Empire of Japan, as the nation quickly changed from an isolationist feudal state to a capitalist and imperial world power, characterized by the Japanese industrial revolution.
At the time of Meiji's birth in 1852, Japan was an isolated, pre-industrial, feudal country dominated by the Tokugawa shogunate and the daimyōs, who ruled over the country's more than 250 decentralized domains. By the time of his death in 1912, Japan had undergone a political, social, and industrial revolution at home and emerged as one of the great powers on the world stage. The New York Times summed up this transformation at his funeral in 1912 with the words: "the contrast between that which preceded the funeral car and that which followed it was striking indeed. Before it went old Japan; after it came new Japan."
In Japan, the reigning Emperor is always referred to as "The Emperor"; since the modern era, a deceased Emperor is referred to by a posthumous name, which is the name of the era coinciding with the Emperor's reign. Having ruled during the Meiji period, the Emperor is thus posthumously known as "the Meiji Emperor" or simply "Emperor Meiji". His personal name, which is not used in any formal or official context, except for his signature, was Mutsuhito (睦仁).

Philip II (Spanish: Felipe II; 21 May 1527 – 13 September 1598) was King of Spain (1556–98), King of Portugal (1581–98, as Philip I, Portuguese: Filipe I), King of Naples and Sicily (both from 1554), and jure uxoris King of England and Ireland (during his marriage to Queen Mary I from 1554 to 1558). He was also Duke of Milan, and from 1555, lord of the Seventeen Provinces of the Netherlands.
The son of Holy Roman Emperor and King of the Spanish kingdoms Charles V and Isabella of Portugal, Philip was called Felipe el Prudente ("Philip the Prudent") in the Spanish kingdoms; his empire included territories on every continent then known to Europeans, including his namesake the Philippines. During his reign, the Spanish kingdoms reached the height of their influence and power. This is sometimes called the Spanish Golden Age.
Philip led a highly debt-leveraged regime, seeing state bankruptcies in 1557, 1560, 1569, 1575, and 1596. This policy was partly the cause of the declaration of independence that created the Dutch Republic in 1581. On 31 December 1584 Philip signed the Treaty of Joinville, with Henry I, Duke of Guise signing on behalf of the Catholic League; consequently Philip supplied a considerable annual grant to the League over the following decade to maintain the civil war in France, with the hope of destroying the French Calvinists. A devout Catholic, Philip saw himself as the defender of Catholic Europe against the Ottoman Empire and the Protestant Reformation. He sent an armada to invade Protestant England in 1588, with the strategic aim of overthrowing Elizabeth I of England and re-establishing Catholicism there; but it was defeated in a skirmish at Gravelines (northern France) and then destroyed by storms as it circled the British Isles to return to Spain. The following year Philip's naval power was able to recover after the failed invasion of the English Armada into Spain.
Under Philip, about 9,000 men a year on average were recruited from Spain; in crisis years the total could rise to 20,000. Between 1567 and 1574, nearly 43,000 men left Spain to fight in Italy and the Low Countries (modern-day Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands).
Philip was described by the Venetian ambassador Paolo Fagolo in 1563 as "slight of stature and round-faced, with pale blue eyes, somewhat prominent lip, and pink skin, but his overall appearance is very attractive." The Ambassador went on to say "He dresses very tastefully, and everything that he does is courteous and gracious."[6] Besides Mary I, Philip was married three other times and widowed four times.
Mobutu Sese Seko[]
Mobutu Sese Seko Kuku Ngbendu Wa Za Banga (/məˈbuːtuː ˈsɛseɪ ˈsɛkoʊ/; born Joseph-Désiré Mobutu; 14 October 1930 – 7 September 1997) was a Congolese politician and military officer who was the President of Zaire (renamed from the Republic of the Congo (Léopoldville) and later to the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 1971) from 1965 to 1997. He also served as Chairman of the Organisation of African Unity from 1967 to 1968. During the Congo Crisis, Mobutu, serving as Chief of Staff of the Army and supported by Belgium and the United States, deposed the democratically elected government of nationalist Patrice Lumumba in 1960. Mobutu installed a government that arranged for Lumumba's execution in 1961, and continued to lead the country's armed forces until he took power directly in a second coup in 1965 to become the country's military dictator.
To consolidate his power, he established the Popular Movement of the Revolution as the sole legal political party in 1967, changed the Congo's name to Zaire in 1971, and his own name to Mobutu Sese Seko in 1972. Mobutu claimed that his political ideology was "neither left nor right, nor even centre"[1] but in practice he developed a totalitarian regime, amassed vast personal wealth, and attempted to purge the country of all colonial cultural influence through his program of "national authenticity".[2][3] Mobutu was the object of a pervasive cult of personality.[4] During his reign, he amassed a large personal fortune through economic exploitation and corruption, leading some to call his rule a "kleptocracy".[5][6] The nation suffered from uncontrolled inflation, a large debt, and massive currency devaluations.
Mobutu received strong support (military, diplomatic and economic) from the United States, France and Belgium, who saw him as the strongest pillar of anti-communism in Francophone Africa; he also built close ties with the governments of Apartheid South Africa, Israel and the Greek military junta. From 1972 onwards, he was also supported by Mao Zedong of China, mainly due to his anti-Soviet stance, but also as part of Mao's attempts to create a bloc of Afro-Asian nations led by him; the massive Chinese economic aid that flowed into Zaire allowed Mobutu more flexibility in his dealings with Western governments, gave him the chance to portray himself as an "anti-capitalist revolutionary", and enabled him to avoid going to the International Monetary Fund for assistance.
By 1991, economic deterioration and unrest led him to agree to share power with opposition leaders, but he used the army to thwart change until May 1997, when rebel forces led by Laurent-Désiré Kabila expelled him from the country. Already suffering from advanced prostate cancer, he died three months later in Morocco. Mobutu became notorious for corruption, nepotism, and the embezzlement of between US$4 billion and $15 billion during his reign. He was known for extravagances such as shopping trips to Paris via the supersonic and expensive Concorde. He presided over the country for more than three decades, a period of widespread human rights violations.

Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin (/ræˈspjuːtɪn/; Russian: Григо́рий Ефи́мович Распу́тин [ɡrʲɪˈɡorʲɪj jɪˈfʲiməvʲɪtɕ rɐˈsputʲɪn]; 21 January [O.S. 9 January] 1869 – 30 December [O.S. 17 December] 1916) was a Russian mystic and self-proclaimed holy man who befriended the family of Tsar Nicholas II, the last monarch of Russia, and gained considerable influence in late imperial Russia.
Born to a peasant family in the Siberian village of Pokrovskoye, Rasputin had a religious conversion experience after taking a pilgrimage to a monastery in 1897. He has been described as a monk or as a "strannik" (wanderer, or pilgrim), though he held no official position in the Russian Orthodox Church. After traveling to St. Petersburg, either in 1903 or the winter of 1904–5, Rasputin captivated some church and social leaders. He became a society figure, and met the Tsar in November 1905.
In late 1906, Rasputin began acting as a healer for the Tsar and his wife Alexandra's son Alexei, who suffered from hemophilia and was Nicholas' only heir (Tsarevitch). At court, he was a divisive figure, seen by some Russians as a mystic, visionary, and prophet, and by others as a religious charlatan. The high point of Rasputin's power was in 1915, when Nicholas II left St Petersburg to oversee Russian armies fighting World War I, increasing both Alexandra and Rasputin's influence. As Russian defeats in the war mounted, however, both Rasputin and Alexandra became increasingly unpopular. In the early morning of 30 December [O.S. 17 December] 1916, Rasputin was assassinated by a group of conservative noblemen who opposed his influence over Alexandra and the Tsar.
Some writers have suggested that Rasputin helped discredit the tsarist government, and thus helped precipitate the Russian Revolution and the fall of the Romanov dynasty. Very little about Rasputin's life and influence is certain, however, as accounts have often been based on hearsay, rumor, and legend.
Ramsees II[]
Ramesses II /ˈræməsiːz, ˈræmsiːz, ˈræmziːz/ (variously also spelt Rameses or Ramses; born c. 1303 BC; died July or August 1213 BC; reigned 1279–1213 BC), also known as Ramesses the Great, was the third pharaoh of the 19th Dynasty of Egypt. He is often regarded as the greatest, most celebrated, and most powerful pharaoh of the Egyptian Empire. His successors and later Egyptians called him the "Great Ancestor". He is known as Ozymandias in the Greek sources, from a transliteration into Greek of a part of Ramesses' throne name, Usermaatre Setepenre, "The justice of Rê is powerful—chosen of Rê".
Ramesses II led several military expeditions into the Levant, reasserting Egyptian control over Canaan. He also led expeditions to the south, into Nubia, commemorated in inscriptions at Beit el-Wali and Gerf Hussein. The early part of his reign was focused on building cities, temples, and monuments. He established the city of Pi-Ramesses in the Nile Delta as his new capital and used it as the main base for his campaigns in Syria.
At age fourteen, Ramesses was appointed Prince Regent by his father Seti I. He is believed to have taken the throne in his late teens and is known to have ruled Egypt from 1279 BC to 1213 BC. Manetho attributes Ramesses II a reign of 66 years and 2 months; most Egyptologists today believe he assumed the throne on May 31, 1279 BC, based on his known accession date of III Shemu day 27. Estimates of his age at death vary; 90 or 91 is considered most likely. Ramesses II celebrated an unprecedented 14 sed festivals (the first held after 30 years of a pharaoh's reign, and then, every three years) during his reign—more than any other pharaoh. On his death, he was buried in a tomb in the Valley of the Kings; his body was later moved to a royal cache where it was discovered in 1881, and is now on display in the Cairo Museum.
Charlemagne[]
Charlemagne (/ˈʃɑːrləmeɪn/) or Charles the Great (2 April 742 – 28 January 814), numbered Charles I, was King of the Franks from 768, King of the Lombards from 774, and Holy Roman Emperor from 800. He united much of western and central Europe during the early Middle Ages. He was the first recognized emperor to rule from western Europe since the fall of the Western Roman Empire three centuries earlier The expanded Frankish state that Charlemagne founded is called the Carolingian Empire. He was later canonized by the pope.
Charlemagne was the eldest son of Pepin the Short and Bertrada of Laon, born before their canonical marriage. He became king in 768 following his father's death, initially as co-ruler with his brother Carloman I. Carloman's sudden death in December 771 under unexplained circumstances left Charlemagne as the sole ruler of the Frankish Kingdom. He continued his father's policy towards the papacy and became its protector, removing the Lombards from power in northern Italy and leading an incursion into Muslim Spain. He campaigned against the Saxons to his east, Christianizing them upon penalty of death and leading to events such as the Massacre of Verden. He reached the height of his power in 800 when he was crowned Emperor of the Romans by Pope Leo III on Christmas Day at Rome's Old St. Peter's Basilica.
Charlemagne has been called the "Father of Europe" (Pater Europae), as he united most of Western Europe for the first time since the classical era of the Roman Empire and united parts of Europe that had never been under Frankish rule. His rule spurred the Carolingian Renaissance, a period of energetic cultural and intellectual activity within the Western Church. All Holy Roman Emperors considered their kingdoms to be descendants of Charlemagne's empire, up to the last Emperor Francis II and the French and German monarchies. However, the Eastern Orthodox Church views Charlemagne more controversially, labeling as heterodox his support of the filioque and the Bishop of Rome's recognizing him as legitimate Roman Emperor rather than Irene of Athens of the Eastern Roman Empire. These and other machinations led to the eventual split of Rome and Constantinople in the Great Schism of 1054.
Charlemagne died in 814, having ruled as emperor for 13 years. He was laid to rest in his imperial capital city of Aachen. He married at least four times and had three legitimate sons, but only his son Louis the Pious survived to succeed him.
King Jie of Xia[]
King Jie (Chinese: 桀; traditionally 1728 – 1675 BCE) was the 17th and last ruler of the Xia dynasty of China. He is traditionally regarded as a tyrant and oppressor who brought about the collapse of a dynasty.
Jie is generally known as Xia Jie (夏桀) or Jie of Xia. His given name was Lü Gui (履癸). Jie ascended to the throne in the year of Renchen (壬辰). Initially, his capital was in Zhenxun. He lived there for three years and constructed his tilt palace. About the same time, he destroyed the pyramid of Rong (容台), and quelled a rebellion by the Quanyi people (aka Fei Barbarians) after they entered Qi, near Fen. His parents were Fa of Xia and his wife.
Jie is known to have lived a lavish lifestyle with slaves and treated his people with extreme cruelty. His style of ruling was reckless and filled with sex, luxury and entertainment. He generally disliked people who criticized him, and many were indeed afraid of him. In the sixth year of Jie's regime, he entertained envoys from vassals and neighbours. He received an envoy from the Qizhong barbarian people. In the 11th year, he summoned all his vassals to his court. The Youmin kingdom did not come, so Jie attacked and conquered it.
In his 13th year of ruling, he moved his capital from Zhenxun to Henan. About that time, he began using the Nian (輦), or sedan chair, on which he was carried by servants. The next year, he led an army to Minshan. There, he found two of the King of Minshan's daughters, Wan and Yan. They were unmarried and very beautiful, so he took them as his wives, renaming them Zhao (苕) and Hua. He abandoned his original wife Mo Xi (妹喜) and built a pyramid on top of the Tilt Palace for them to live in.
According to Liu Xiang’s book Lienü zhuan written much later, around 18 BCE, Jie was corrupted by his infatuation with his concubine Mo Xi (妺喜 or 末喜), who was beautiful, but completely lacking in virtue. Among other things, she liked to drink, enjoyed music, and also had a penchant for jugglers and sing-song girls. Apparently, she had Jie order a lake of wine made. They both sailed about in the alcohol lake in an orgy of drunken naked men and women bathing and drinking. She then commanded 3,000 men to drink the lake dry, only to laugh when they all drowned. This event was also recorded in the Han Ying’s book Han shi waizhuan.A great deal of effort was spent on Jie’s cuisine and his requirements. Vegetables had to come from the northwest, fish had to be from the East Sea, seasonings and sauces had to come from ginger that grew in the south, sea salt had to come from the north. Several hundred people were employed just to supply Jie with his meals. Anyone that got his meal wrong was beheaded.
Jie was also a known alcoholic, but he did not drink regular wine. He drank a type of pure alcohol wine (清醇). The people working for him who could not supply this drink were killed. Many people died because of this. And while he was drinking wine it was required that he ride on someone’s back like a horse.
In one incident Jie was riding the back of a top chancellor like a horse. After a while the chancellor was tired to the point that he could no longer crawl or move. He asked King Jie to spare him. Jie immediately dragged him out to be executed. Another chancellor, Guan Longfeng (關龍逢), told the king that he was losing the trust of his people along with the Xia dynasty’s rivers and mountains (江山). After yelling at Guan, he too was dragged out to be killed.
Around 1600 BCE, Jie was defeated by Tang of Shang, bringing an end to the Xia Dynasty that lasted about 500 years, and a rise to the new Shang Dynasty.
King Zhou of Shang[]
King Zhou (/dʒoʊ/; Chinese: 紂王; pinyin: Zhòu Wáng) was the pejorative posthumous name given to Di Xin (Chinese: 帝辛; pinyin: Dì Xīn), the last king of the Shang dynasty of ancient China. He is also called Zhou Xin (紂辛; Zhòu Xīn). He may also be referred to by adding "Shang" (商 Shāng) in front of any of his names. In Chinese, 紂 also refers to a horse crupper, the part of a saddle or harness that is most likely to be soiled by the horse.
In the Records of the Grand Historian, Sima Qian wrote that Di Xin, in the early part of his reign, had abilities which surpassed those of the ordinary man, and was quick-witted and quick-tempered. According to legend, he was intelligent enough to win all of his arguments, and he was strong enough to hunt wild beasts with his bare hands. He was the younger brother of Zi Qi (子启) and Zi Yan (子衍) (later rulers of Zhou's vassal state Song) and father of Wu Geng. His father Di Yi had two brothers, Ji Zi and Bi Gan. Di Xin added to the territory of Shang by battling the tribes surrounding it, including the Dongyi to the east.
In his later years, Di Xin gave himself over to drinking, women and abandoned morals, preferring these to the proper governance of the country, and ignored almost all affairs of state. According to Sima Qian, he even hosted festive orgies where many people engaged in immoral things at the same time with his concubines and created songs with crude (erotic) lyrics and poor rhythm. In legends, he is depicted as having come under the influence of his wicked wife Daji, and committing all manner of evil and cruel deeds with her. In fictionalizations, including the novel Fengshen Yanyi, she was said to be possessed by a malevolent fox spirit.
One of the most famous forms of entertainment Zhou enjoyed was the "Wine Pool and Meat Forest" (酒池肉林). A large pool, big enough for several canoes, was constructed on the Palace grounds, with inner linings of polished oval shaped stones from the sea shores. This allowed for the entire pool to be filled with alcohol. A small island was constructed in the middle of the pool, where trees were planted, which had branches made of roasted meat skewers hanging over the pool. This allowed Zhou and his friends and concubines to drift on canoes in the pool. When they thirsted, they reached down into the pool with their hands and drank the wine. When they hungered, they reached up with their hands to eat the roasted meat. This was considered one of the most famous examples of decadence and corruption of a ruler in Chinese history.
In order to please Daji, he created the "Cannon Burning Punishment" (炮烙之刑). One large hollow bronze cylinder was stuffed with burning charcoal and allowed to burn until red-hot, then prisoners were made to literally hug the cylinder, which resulted in a painful and unsightly death.
Zhou and Daji were known to get highly aroused after watching such torture. Victims ranged from ordinary people and prisoners to high government officials, such as Mei Bo. In order to fund Zhou's heavy daily expenses, extremely heavy taxes were implemented. The people suffered greatly, and lost all hope for the Shang dynasty. Zhou's brother Wei Zi tried to persuade him to change, but was rebuked. His uncle Bi Gan similarly remonstrated with him, but Di Xin had his heart ripped out so he could see what the heart of a sage looked like. When his other uncle Ji Zi heard this, he went to remonstrate with the kingly nephew and, feigning madness, was imprisoned.
When Zhou dynasty's army, led by the famous Jiang Ziya, defeated the Shang dynasty at the Battle of Muye in 1046 BC, Di Xin gathered all his treasures around himself in the Palace, and then set fire to his palace and committed suicide. The name "Zhou" actually appeared after the death of King Zhou, a posthumous name (although perhaps used furtively by his contemporaries). This name was a representation of his actions, both dishonorable and cold-hearted. King Zhou would go down in history as one of the worst examples of a corrupted king in China.
Genghis Khan[]
Genghis Khan (/ˈdʒɛŋɡɪs ˈkɑːn/ or usually /ˈɡɛŋɡɪs ˈkɑːn/; Mongolian: Чингис хаан, Çingis hán; Mongolian pronunciation: [t͡ʃʰiŋɡɪs xaːŋ] (About this sound listen)) (also transliterated as Chinggis Khaan; born Temüjin, c. 1162 – August 18, 1227) was the founder and first Great Khan of the Mongol Empire, which became the largest contiguous empire in history after his death. He came to power by uniting many of the nomadic tribes of Northeast Asia. After founding the Empire and being proclaimed "Genghis Khan", he launched the Mongol invasions that conquered most of Eurasia. Campaigns initiated in his lifetime include those against the Qara Khitai, Caucasus, and Khwarazmian, Western Xia and Jin dynasties. These campaigns were often accompanied by large-scale massacres of the civilian populations – especially in the Khwarazmian and Western Xia controlled lands. By the end of his life, the Mongol Empire occupied a substantial portion of Central Asia and China.
Before Genghis Khan died he assigned Ögedei Khan as his successor. Later his grandsons split his empire into khanates. Genghis Khan died in 1227 after defeating the Western Xia. He was buried in an unmarked grave somewhere in Mongolia. His descendants extended the Mongol Empire across most of Eurasia by conquering or creating vassal states in all of modern-day China, Korea, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and substantial portions of Eastern Europe and Southwest Asia. Many of these invasions repeated the earlier large-scale slaughters of local populations. As a result, Genghis Khan and his empire have a fearsome reputation in local histories.
Beyond his military accomplishments, Genghis Khan also advanced the Mongol Empire in other ways. He decreed the adoption of the Uyghur script as the Mongol Empire's writing system. He also practiced meritocracy and encouraged religious tolerance in the Mongol Empire, and unified the nomadic tribes of Northeast Asia. Present-day Mongolians regard him as the founding father of Mongolia.
Although known for the brutality of his campaigns and considered by many to have been a genocidal ruler, Genghis Khan is also credited with bringing the Silk Road under one cohesive political environment. This brought communication and trade from Northeast Asia into Muslim Southwest Asia and Christian Europe, thus expanding the horizons of all three cultural areas.
Justinian I[]
Justinian I (/dʒʌˈstɪniən/; Latin: Flavius Petrus Sabbatius Iustinianus Augustus; Greek: Φλάβιος Πέτρος Σαββάτιος Ἰουστινιανός Flávios Pétros Sabbátios Ioustinianós; c. 482 – 14 November 565), traditionally known as Justinian the Great and also Saint Justinian the Great in the Eastern Orthodox Church, was the Eastern Roman emperor from 527 to 565. During his reign, Justinian sought to revive the empire's greatness and reconquer the lost western half of the historical Roman Empire. Justinian's rule constitutes a distinct epoch in the history of the Later Roman empire, and his reign is marked by the ambitious but only partly realized renovatio imperii, or "restoration of the Empire".
Because of his restoration activities, Justinian has sometimes been known as the "last Roman" in modern historiography. This ambition was expressed by the partial recovery of the territories of the defunct Western Roman Empire. His general, Belisarius, swiftly conquered the Vandal Kingdom in North Africa. Subsequently, Belisarius, Narses, and other generals conquered the Ostrogothic kingdom, restoring Dalmatia, Sicily, Italy, and Rome to the empire after more than half a century of rule by the Ostrogoths. The prefect Liberius reclaimed the south of the Iberian peninsula, establishing the province of Spania. These campaigns re-established Roman control over the western Mediterranean, increasing the Empire's annual revenue by over a million solidi. During his reign Justinian also subdued the Tzani, a people on the east coast of the Black Sea that had never been under Roman rule before.
A still more resonant aspect of his legacy was the uniform rewriting of Roman law, the Corpus Juris Civilis, which is still the basis of civil law in many modern states.[9] His reign also marked a blossoming of Byzantine culture, and his building program yielded such masterpieces as the church of Hagia Sophia. A devastating outbreak of bubonic plague in the early 540s marked the end of an age of splendour.
Augustus[]
Augustus (Latin: Imperator Caesar Divi filius Augustus;[nb 1] 23 September 63 BC – 19 August 14 AD) was a Roman statesman and military leader who was the first Emperor of the Roman Empire, controlling Imperial Rome from 27 BC until his death in AD 14.[nb 2] His status as the founder of the Roman Principate has consolidated an enduring legacy as one of the most effective and controversial leaders in human history.
He was born Gaius Octavius Thurinus into an old and wealthy equestrian branch of the plebeian gens Octavia. His maternal great-uncle Julius Caesar was assassinated in 44 BC, and Octavius was named in Caesar's will as his adopted son and heir. Then known simply as Octavianus (often anglicized to Octavian), he along with Mark Antony, and Marcus Lepidus formed the Second Triumvirate to defeat the assassins of Caesar. Following their victory at the Battle of Philippi, the Triumvirate divided the Roman Republic among themselves and ruled as military dictators. The Triumvirate was eventually torn apart by the competing ambitions of its members. Lepidus was driven into exile and stripped of his position, and Antony committed suicide following his defeat at the Battle of Actium by Octavian in 31 BC.
After the demise of the Second Triumvirate, Augustus restored the outward façade of the free Republic, with governmental power vested in the Roman Senate, the executive magistrates, and the legislative assemblies. In reality, however, he retained his autocratic power over the Republic as a military dictator. By law, Augustus held a collection of powers granted to him for life by the Senate, including supreme military command, and those of tribune and censor. It took several years for Augustus to develop the framework within which a formally republican state could be led under his sole rule. He rejected monarchical titles, and instead called himself Princeps Civitatis ("First Citizen of the State"). The resulting constitutional framework became known as the Principate, the first phase of the Roman Empire.
The reign of Augustus initiated an era of relative peace known as the Pax Romana. The Roman world was largely free from large-scale conflict for more than two centuries, despite continuous wars of imperial expansion on the Empire's frontiers and the year-long civil war known as the "Year of the Four Emperors" over the imperial succession. Augustus dramatically enlarged the Empire, annexing Egypt, Dalmatia, Pannonia, Noricum, and Raetia; expanding possessions in Africa; expanding into Germania; and completing the conquest of Hispania. Beyond the frontiers, he secured the Empire with a buffer region of client states and made peace with the Parthian Empire through diplomacy. He reformed the Roman system of taxation, developed networks of roads with an official courier system, established a standing army, established the Praetorian Guard, created official police and fire-fighting services for Rome, and rebuilt much of the city during his reign. Augustus died in AD 14 at the age of 75. He probably died from natural causes, although there were unconfirmed rumors that his wife Livia poisoned him. He was succeeded as Emperor by his adopted son (also stepson and former son-in-law) Tiberius.

Moloch (Theology)[]
Moloch is the biblical name of a Canaanite god associated with child sacrifice. The name of this deity is also sometimes spelled Molech, Milcom, or Malcam.
The name Moloch results from a dysphemic vocalisation in the Second Temple period of a theonym based on the root mlk, "king". There are a number of Canaanite gods with names based on this root, which became summarily associated with Moloch, including Biblical מַלְכָּם Malkam "great king" (KJV Milcom), which appears to refer to a god of the Ammonites, as well as Tyrian Melqart and others.
Rabbinical tradition depicted Moloch as a bronze statue heated with fire into which the victims were thrown. This has been associated with reports by Greco-Roman authors on the child sacrifices in Carthage to Baal Hammon, especially since archaeological excavations since the 1920s have produced evidence for child sacrifice in Carthage as well as inscriptions including the term MLK, either a theonym or a technical term associated with sacrifice. In interpretatio graeca, the Phoenician god was identified with Cronus, due to the parallel mytheme of Cronus devouring his children.
Otto Eissfeldt in 1935 argued that mlk was not to be taken as a theonym at all but as a term for a type of fire sacrifice, and that *lĕmōlek "as a molk-sacrifice" had been reinterpreted as the name of a Canaanite idol following the Deuteronomic reform under Josiah (r. 640–609 BC). According to Eissfeldt, this 7th-century reform abolished the child sacrifice that had been happening.
Moloch has been used figuratively in English literature from John Milton's Paradise Lost (1667) to Allen Ginsberg's "Howl" (1955), to refer to a person or thing demanding or requiring a very costly sacrifice.
Baal[]
Baal (/ˈbeɪəl, ˈbɑːəl/), properly Baʿal, was a title and honorific meaning "owner," "lord" in the Northwest Semitic languages spoken in the Levant during antiquity. From its use among people, it came to be applied to gods. Scholars previously associated the theonym with solar cults and with a variety of unrelated patron deities, but inscriptions have shown that the name Baʿal was particularly associated with the storm and fertility god Hadad and his local manifestations.
The Hebrew Bible, compiled and curated over a span of centuries, includes generic use of the term in reference to various Levantine deities, and finally pointed application towards Hadad, who was decried as a false god. That use was taken over into Christianity and Islam, sometimes under the opprobrious form Beelzebub in demonology.
Cronus[]
In Greek mythology, Cronus, Cronos, or Kronos (/ˈkroʊnəs/ or /ˈkroʊnɒs/, US: /-oʊs/, from Greek: Κρόνος, Krónos), was the leader and youngest of the first generation of Titans, the divine descendants of Uranus, the sky, and Gaia, the earth. He overthrew his father and ruled during the mythological Golden Age, until he was overthrown by his own son Zeus and imprisoned in Tartarus. According to Plato, however, the deities Phorcys, Cronus, and Rhea were the eldest children of Oceanus and Tethys.
Cronus was usually depicted with a harpe, scythe or a sickle, which was the instrument he used to castrate and depose Uranus, his father. In Athens, on the twelfth day of the Attic month of Hekatombaion, a festival called Kronia was held in honour of Cronus to celebrate the harvest, suggesting that, as a result of his association with the virtuous Golden Age, Cronus continued to preside as a patron of the harvest. Cronus was also identified in classical antiquity with the Roman deity Saturn.
Níðhöggr[]
In Norse mythology, Níðhöggr (Malice Striker, traditionally also spelled Níðhǫggr, often anglicized Nidhogg) is a dragon/serpent who gnaws at a root of the world tree, Yggdrasil. In historical Viking society, níð was a term for a social stigma implying the loss of honor and the status of a villain. Thus, its name might refer to its role as a horrific monster or in its action of chewing the corpses of the inhabitants of Náströnd: those guilty of murder, adultery, and oath-breaking, which Norse society considered among the worst possible crimes.
In the standardized Old Norse orthography, the name is spelled Níðhǫggr, but the letter ǫ is frequently replaced with the Modern Icelandic ö for reasons of familiarity or technical expediency.
The name can be represented in English texts with i for í; th, d or (rarely) dh for ð; o for ǫ and optionally without r as in Modern Scandinavian reflexes. The Modern Icelandic form Níðhöggur is also sometimes seen, with special characters or similarly anglicized. The Danish forms Nidhug and Nidhøg can also be encountered; or Norwegian Nidhogg and Swedish Nidhögg.
According to the Gylfaginning part of Snorri Sturluson's Prose Edda, Níðhǫggr is a being which gnaws one of the three roots of Yggdrasill. It is sometimes believed that the roots are trapping the beast from the world. This root is placed over Niflheimr and Níðhǫggr gnaws it from beneath. The same source also says that "[t]he squirrel called Ratatoskr runs up and down the length of the Ash, bearing envious words between the eagle and Nídhǫggr [the snake].
Satan[]
Satan is an entity in the Abrahamic religions that seduces humans into sin. In Christianity and Islam, he is usually seen as a fallen angel, or a jinni, who used to possess great piety and beauty, but rebelled against God, who nevertheless allows him temporary power over the fallen world and a host of demons.
A figure known as "the satan" first appears in the Tanakh as a heavenly prosecutor, a member of the sons of God subordinate to Yahweh, who prosecutes the nation of Judah in the heavenly court and tests the loyalty of Yahweh's followers by forcing them to suffer. During the intertestamental period, possibly due to influence from the Zoroastrian figure of Angra Mainyu, the satan developed into a malevolent entity with abhorrent qualities in dualistic opposition to God. In the apocryphal Book of Jubilees, Yahweh grants the satan (referred to as Mastema) authority over a group of fallen angels to tempt humans to sin and punish them.
In the Synoptic Gospels, Satan tempts Jesus in the desert and is identified as the cause of illness and temptation. Satan is described in the New Testament as the "ruler of the demons" and "the god of this age". In the Book of Revelation, Satan appears as a Great Red Dragon, who is defeated by Michael the Archangel and cast down from Heaven. He is later bound for one thousand years, but is briefly set free before being ultimately defeated and cast into the Lake of Fire. In Christianity, Satan is also known as the Devil and, although the Book of Genesis does not mention him, he is often identified as the serpent in the Garden of Eden.
Satan's appearance is never described in the Bible, but, since the ninth century, he has often been shown in Christian art with horns, cloven hooves, unusually hairy legs, and a tail, often naked and holding a pitchfork. These are an amalgam of traits derived from various pagan deities, including Pan, Poseidon, and Bes. In medieval times, Satan played a minimal role in Christian theology and was used as a comic relief figure in mystery plays. During the early modern period, Satan's significance greatly increased as beliefs such as demonic possession and witchcraft became more prevalent. During the Age of Enlightenment, belief in the existence of Satan became harshly criticized. Nonetheless, belief in Satan has persisted, particularly in the Americas.
In the Quran, Shaitan, also known as Iblis, is an entity made of fire who was cast out of Heaven because he refused to bow before the newly-created Adam and incites humans and jinn to sin by infecting their minds with waswās ("evil suggestions"). Although Satan is generally viewed as evil, some groups have very different beliefs. In Theistic Satanism, Satan is considered a deity who is either worshipped or revered. In LaVeyan Satanism, Satan is a symbol of virtuous characteristics and liberty.[1][2] Satan appears frequently in Christian literature, most notably in Dante Alighieri's Inferno, variants of the Faust legend, John Milton's Paradise Lost and Paradise Regained, and the poems of William Blake. He continues to appear in film, television, and music.
Angra Mainyu[]
Angra Mainyu (/ˈæŋrə ˈmaɪnjuː/; Avestan: Aŋra Mainiiu) is the Avestan-language name of Zoroastrianism's hypostasis of the "destructive spirit". The Middle Persian equivalent is Ahriman (Anglicised pronunciation: /ˈɑːrɪmən/). Angra Mainyu is omnimalevolent. Angra Mainyu is Ahura Mazda’s adversary.
Avestan angra mainyu "seems to have been an original conception of Zoroaster's." In the Gathas, which are the oldest texts of Zoroastrianism and are attributed to the prophet himself, angra mainyu is not yet a proper name. In the one instance in these hymns where the two words appear together, the concept spoken of is that of a mainyu ("mind", "spirit" or otherwise an abstract energy etc.) that is angra ("destructive", "chaotic", "disorderly", "inhibitive", "malign" etc, of which a manifestation can be anger). In this single instance—in Yasna 45.2—the "more bounteous of the spirits twain" declares angra mainyu to be its "absolute antithesis".
A similar statement occurs in Yasna 30.3, where the antithesis is however aka mainyu, aka being the Avestan language word for "evil". Hence, aka mainyu is the "evil spirit" or "evil mind" or "evil thought," as contrasted with spenta mainyu, the "bounteous spirit" with which Ahura Mazda conceived of creation, which then "was".
The aka mainyu epithet recurs in Yasna 32.5, when the principle is identified with the daevas that deceive humankind and themselves. While in later Zoroastrianism, the daevas are demons, this is not yet evident in the Gathas: Zoroaster stated that the daevas are "wrong gods" or "false gods" that are to be rejected, but they are not yet demons.
In Yasna 32.3, these daevas are identified as the offspring, not of Angra Mainyu, but of akem manah, "evil thinking". A few verses earlier it is however the daebaaman, "deceiver"—not otherwise identified but "probably Angra Mainyu"—who induces the daevas to choose achistem manah—"worst thinking." In Yasna 32.13, the abode of the wicked is not the abode of Angra Mainyu, but the abode of the same "worst thinking". "One would have expected [Angra Mainyu] to reign in hell, since he had created 'death and how, at the end, the worst existence shall be for the deceitful' (Y. 30.4).
Fictional Inspirations - All Incarnations[]
Morgoth[]
Morgoth, originally named Melkor, is the main antagonist of the Arda universe of J.R.R. Tolkien, which is mainly focused on Middle-earth, and ultimately, the main antagonist of the Middle-Earth legendarium. He is the main antagonist of the mythopoeic novel The Silmarillion, the secondary antagonist and Bigger Bad of The Children of Húrin, and the titular main antagonist of The History of Middle-Earth.
He is an evil Vala and the first Dark Lord of Middle-Earth. He is also the master and predecessor of Sauron. Morgoth is also the de-facto ultimate evil of the whole universe, known as Eä.
Morgoth was a very standoffish, intimidating, and unapproachable opponent, because of his being in the presence of Ilúvatar had given him almost godlike powers. However, he was a skilled, influential, and manipulative politician and could charm his enemies, as he tried to do with Hurin when he captured him.
When seen as Melkor, he was perceived as resplendent, majestic, and noble, even by his enemies, but when he became Morgoth, he became a giant looming threat which was feared by even the noblest warriors on Earth. Literally only five people on Earth ever challenged him: Fingolfin, Beren and Luthien, Hurin, and also Earendil. This clearly shows his formidable and authoritative might, with Fingolfin being the only one to ever enter into a duel with him. Although Morgoth won the duel, Fingolfin gave him seven wounds, which clearly shows Morgoth's power, (albeit diminished due to his evils) because if a skilled Elf swordsman could only give Morgoth seven wounds then he was clearly impressive, resilient, powerful, and durable.
Unlike the other Valar, Morgoth knew fear and pain. This was most likely a punishment given to him because of his heinous and iniquitous crimes. He could feel the pain of the Silmarils, and also the wounds given him by Thorondor the eagle, and Fingolfin scarred him forever and caused him a burning pain. Luthien commented that Morgoth's life was a "burden", and she rid him of this "burden" for awhile by putting him into sleep.
Morgoth was also very domineering and arrogant, as he loved challenging people and reducing their wills to dust. He prided himself on his immense powers, giant size, and intelligence, and knew that he would most likely come off better in any duel. However, these tables got turned in his epic downfall.
Morgoth may rank as one of (if not the) most evil, terrifying, and powerful antagonist in fiction, because he was almost successful in his goals, and it literally took everyone's will to defeat him.
Apocalypse (X-Men Movies)[]
En Sabah Nur, otherwise known as Apocalypse, is the titular main antagonist of the 2016 superhero movie X-Men: Apocalypse, the sequel to the 2014 Oscar nominated hit X-Men: Days Of Future Past.
Apocalypse is the world's first and most powerful mutant, who was born prior to 3,600 B.C. in Ancient Egypt, where he was worshipped as a god. He possessed various mutant abilities that made him seemingly invincible. Apocalypse would always select four powerful mutants to serve him as his Four Horsemen. Upon awakening in the modern world in 1983, Apocalypse lived under the belief that mankind needed to be eradicated. Apocalypse recruited Storm, Psylocke, Archangel, and Magneto to serve as his Horsemen. His plot was ultimately foiled during the Battle in Cairo and he was killed by Jean.
He is being described as a god-like mutant, because he is the world's first mutant who was born. Sabah Nur is an absolute genocidal psychopath, who has no sympathy to the weaker people; humanity which he wants to exterminate. He thinks that the world is chaotic because it is shared on nations and only he can correct it by uniting it under his absolute rule.
He was portrayed by Oscar Isaac, who also played Blue Jones in Sucker Punch, and Nathan Bateman in Ex Machina.
Lucemon[]
Lucemon is the main antagonist of the Digimon anime Digimon Frontier, as well as a major antagonist in Digimon Fusion. His name is based on Lucifer, more commonly known as The Devil and Satan within the beliefs of Abrahamic religions.
According to Bokomon, there was a great war between Human Digimon and Animal Digimon. The war was never ending until Lucemon showed up and brought peace to both Digimon species. There was peace for a while until Lucemon was corrupted and obsessed with his own power and tried to destroy the world and recreated it in his own image. He would have succeeded in his plans until the 10 Legendary Warriors defeated Lucemon and trapped him in the Dark Area within the Digital World's core.
Years later, Lucemon corrupted Cherubimon, causing him to steal and corrupt 5 of the spirit warriors, create an army of beast-type Digimon and attack Seraphimon's Castle, and kidnapping Ophanimon.
After Cherubimon was defeated, Lucemon brought forth two of the Royal Knights; Dynasmon, and Crusadermon to absorb all the data from the Digital World so he could be free from his prison. After they accomplished their mission, Lucemon was free and easily defeated the DigiDestined.
Moloch (Original Sleepy Hollow series)[]
Moloch is the main antagonist of the first two seasons of the Sleepy Hollow series. He is a god-like demon with the goal to bring forward the Apocalypse and raising of the Headless Horseman. He was the one who imprisoned Katrina in Purgatory, after Katrina's coven handed her over (as punishment for saving Ichabod). He is killed by Henry after Henry learns that Moloch, who he perceived as a father, only saw him as an expendable tool, allowing all the spirits and monsters from Purgatory to escape. With Moloch dead, his apocalypse cannot come to be.
As a powerful demon, he is the leader of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse, as well as many other monsters and forms of evil. He is highly considered to be the most vile and most horrifying villains of the series ever, for his utterly diablolical, selfish, hateful, arrogant and corruptive personality. Responsible for sacrifise of numerous innoncents (including children), he intends to use human as his pawns and unleash the Apocalypse, bringing about the end of the world.
It is revealed that Moloch was one of the leaders of fallen angels during the rebellion in Heaven. His actions were described in John Milton's Paradise Lost. He is also the first of the Seven Disasters which the Witnesses must face. Crane later remarks that Doctor Brennan - the protagonist of Bones - is so grounded in science that she would pass Moloch off as a tall man with a skin condition.
Great Leader of Shocker[]
The Great Leader of Shocker, later known as the Great Leader of Gel-Shocker or simply the Great Leader, is the overarching antagonist of Kamen Rider franchise, first appearing as the primary antagonist of the original 1971 Kamen Rider series, as well as the Showa continuity of Kamen Rider as a whole. He is a mysterious entity who is force behind nearly every evil organization the Kamen Riders have faced. His ultimate goal is to conquer the world and convert the entire human race into kaijin, uniting the world as one being.
Following his original defeat, later incarnations of him (most notably the Great Leader of Gel-Shocker, the Great Leader of Destron, the Great Leader of Black Satan, the Great Leader of Delza Army, the Great Leader of Neo-Shocker, the Generalissimo of Badan and possibly Emperor Crisis) would go on to serve as the main antagonists of several other Showa Kamen Rider series. He eventually returns as the main antagonist of the crossover film, Let's Go Kamen Riders and the main antagonist of the film Super Hero Taisen GP: Kamen Rider 3.
His ultimate goal is to turn the entire human race into kaijin under his rule in order to unite the world as one being. He orders his subordinates via speakers on Shocker's emblem to destroy Kamen Riders Hongo and Ichimonji who are the obstacles of his conquest. The two riders were able to severely weaken the Shocker organization by eliminating most of their key figures (Colonel Zol, Doctor Shinigami and Ambassador Hell), this forced the Great Leader to reform Shocker by allying himself with General Black of the Geldam organization, thus creating Gel-Shocker.
Seeing that old members of Shocker were considered unfit for the new organization, the Great Leader had them all killed one by one. All Shocker secret bases were self destructed and the remaining Shocker soldiers were killed. The Riders were able to defeat Gel-Shocker forces and its kaijin's, including General Black. The riders were able to locate Gel-Shocker's headquarters and finally confronted the Great Leader himself, the two riders uncloaked the Great Leader, revealing a snake-covered mask but still not buying for this trick and pulled again, revealing a Cyclopean face. He sets off the headquarters' self-destruct system in a final attempt to kill the riders, but only resulted in him being killed instead and the two riders escaping, therefore ending Shocker's reign of terror. Or so they thought...
Shortly after, the Great Leader resurfaced as the Great Leader of the Destron organization. Which resulted in the Double Riders creating the third Kamen Rider, V3. He would go on to create several more evil organizations to menace the ever-increasing amount of Kamen Riders. His last known appearance was as the Generalissimo of the Badan Empire, who disappeared shortly after he made himself known to the ten veteran Kamen Riders. He may have also been the Emperor Crisis of the Crisis Empire who was destroyed by Kamen Rider Black RX.
He was voiced by the late Gorō Naya in most of his appearance and incarnations.
Zeus (God of War)[]
Zeus is the the God of Lightning, the Sky, and Law and Order, and the King of both Olympus and the Gods of Olympus. He started out as one of Kratos' allies so he could kill Ares, but after Kratos opened Pandora's Box, Zeus got scared of Kratos and decided to kill him, before Kratos could kill him.
He became the overarching antagonist following the events of the original God of War storyline (Which were God of War II, and God of War III). Specifically, he makes a brief appearance in God of War, then appeared in God of War: Ghost of Sparta as the Grave Digger, then was the main antagonist of God of War II and God of War III. He is the king of the Olympians and was originally a fair god by Olympian standards but grew to become one of Kratos' most powerful and merciless opponents as the series progressed. As revealed during the ending of God of War II, it was revealed that he is also Kratos' father. Zeus is also Kratos's nemesis (since his betrayal). Because of his recurring appearances and being Kratos's nemesis, Zeus is the Big Bad of the entire Greek mythology era of the God of War series.
In God of War II, Zeus seemed to be a sophisticated and calm individual, but when Gaia told Zeus' story that when she was taking care of Zeus, anger and rage consumed him toward the Titans. And as the 3rd game progressed, Zeus started to become an arrogant, merciless and careless monster determined to kill Kratos before he becomes too powerful, and Olympus falls. Fear drove him to become more and more ruthless, because of this, he destroyed Sparta, severely injured and imprisoned Hephaestus, abused Pandora simply because she wasn't an actual living being, imprisoned and killed the Titans, tortured Prometheus toward the end of time and a bunch of other cruel and unforgivable deeds.
After Kratos was killed by Zeus, Zeus decided to destroy Sparta and cause more misery towards Kratos, even in "death". Zeus also seemed to be a bit frightened and reluctant to fight Kratos after the former nearly killed him. In God of War III, instead of fighting Kratos himself, he sent his own brother Poseidon, and other Gods of Olympus such as Hermes, Helios, and Hercules to do his dirty work and watched them die.
Peter Pan (Once Upon A Time)[]
Peter Pan, born Malcolm, is a major antagonist in the series Once Upon a Time. He serves as the Bigger Bad of the second half of Season 2, the main antagonist of the first half of Season 3, a supporting antagonist of the second half of Season 5, and a minor antagonist in Season 6 (in flashbacks).
Unlike his Disney fairytale counterpart who is slightly pompous but is otherwise heroic, this version of Peter Pan is totally evil and heartless (relating to a role thought by J.M. Barrie in the early drafts of the original book).
Peter Pan was sadistic, self-centered, arrogant and truly evil. He was so feared that Captain Hook called him a demon and the most treacherous villain he's ever encountered and his grandson Baelfire labeling him the nastiest person he ever met, despite their respective experiences with Rumplestiltskin, the Dark One. He is also a very intelligent schemer and manipulator, prying on Henry's desire to follow in his maternal family's footsteps and be a hero.
Peter Pan is one of the most evil Once Upon a Time villains (alongside Cora (before her death), Jafar, Cruella De Vil, Hades, and the Black Fairy). Unlike the other major villains; such Rumplestiltskin, Regina Mills, Cora (after her death) Greg Mendell, Tamara, Zelena, Ingrid, Ursula, or Maleficent, he clearly showed no love for his family. He gave up his son Rumplestiltskin for youth and showed no remorse for sacrificing his great-grandson Henry just to keep it, almost killing the boy gruesomely out of desperation. While he seemed to care for Rumple when he was Malcolm, he revealed to Felix he never loved him and later told Rumple face-to face that all he ever thought him was as a parasite pulling at his dreams and money. While he did offer Rumple a chance to join him in Neverland when he came to save Henry, this only led to him imprisoning Rumple in Pandora's Box. To spite his son, he tried to kill Belle and Baelfire.
Along with his for family, he also showed no care for the Lost Boys, whom he forcefully brought to Neverland and punished cruelly if they so much thought of leaving Neverland, and summoned his Shadow to gruesomely murder them by removing their shadows if they tried escaping. While he claimed that he considered them as his friends, he had no problem convincing Henry to show no mercy while attacking Devin, and even crushed the heart of his most loyal Lost Boy, Felix, to activate a curse.
He put on a charming facade to manipulate Henry and earn his trust. He also seems to enjoy playing mind games with his victims such as offering Hook a way off the island with Emma if he killed Charming before the poison did, causing a brief fight to occur between them until Hook saved Charming's life. He also was shown to be very cruel to Wendy and keeping her in a cage, threatening her life as leverage over her brothers, and only letting her out to manipulate Henry.
He was portrayed by Robbie Kay (as Peter Pan/Pied Piper) and Stephen Lord (as Malcolm).
Father (Fullmetal Alchemist)[]
Father is the primary antagonist in the Fullmetal Alchemist manga and second anime series.
He is both the original homunculus and a living Philosopher's Stone, created from Van Hohenheim; the father of the series' primary protagonists Edward and Alphonse Elric.
Father remains unseen during the first part of the story. He spent the last four centuries building and controlling the country of Amestris from behind the scenes, intending to sacrifice everyone living here to pry open the Gate of Truth and absorb all the alchemic power it contains, in order to become the new God of the world.
Back when he was the Homunculus in the flask, Father was observant, witty and sharp-tongued. Even under his friendly facade, he never hesitated to voice his opinion out-loud, rarely showing the respect that was not sarcastic and frequently poking fun at both Hohenheim and at the general human way of life, demonstrating that even in this hapless form, he considered himself superior.
This superiority complex increased into a god complex when Father became a living Philosopher's Stone. His immortality, his immense powers and his control over Amestris comforted him in his belief that he was superior to any life form. As such he regards mankind as insignificant and treats people with extreme indifference. He states that his level of conscience is too different (and much higher) for humans to grasp, demonstrating huge levels of egomania. He caused countless gory slaughters, killed hundreds of thousands and would have killed millions without so much as a qualm, but cannot bear the idea of not being in control of a conversation or a situation.
Ironically, Father who craved for freedom chose to willingly confine himself underground for most of his life. It must be noted that when confronted to Truth (a higher being he could not subjugate in any manner) after his defeat, Father lost all composure and began yelling frantic pleas for mercy and self-serving attempts to justify his unspeakable crimes; highlighting the petty, disgusting selfishness hidden behind the high and mighty facade.
Father is serious, merciless, deeply selfish and extremely overconfident, looking bored nearly all the time. As a result of separating himself from seven major emotions (the Seven Deadly Sins) to create the homunculi, he became cold and nearly emotionless. However, when close to accomplishing his goals or especially pleased, Father loses his calm and demonstrates a gleeful, wicked excitation. Given his immense knowledge about almost everything in existence, he is rarely taken aback. As such he often acts as if he knew everything and gives lectures to people, even when they disagree with him or can prove him wrong. Yet, he knows that he is unfamiliar with the way people think and relies on his subordinate's advice to deal with it. (Though said advice never really surprise him.)
Father is also highly intelligent, noted by the author as one of the smartest characters of the series. He is able to orchestrate the entire story to the last event, by planting his agents where he needs and deceiving unsuspecting parties into doing his bidding; (though he left most of it to his homunculi). He is no less adept at gaining the trust of people he needs, mostly by promises and inspiring declarations, playing on their desires and telling them what they want to hear. The very high regards in which the corrupt leaders of Amestris hold him are sufficient proof of it, (though their devotion may stem from his "promise" to make them immortals).
The only beings for whom Father seem to really care are his seven "children". Hohenheim even states that he has his homunculi call him "Father" because he desires a family like everyone else, something that irks him but which he does not deny. Father also cares for Hohenheim to a certain extent, as he was very pleased to learn that he was still alive and that the Elric brothers were his children. Upon meeting the Elrics for the first time, he demonstrated a light-hearted enthusiasm and an almost comical side for a brief instant.
Yet, he only cares about Hohenheim and the Elrics because they are useful for his goals. Even his "children" are nothing but tools to his eyes, as evidenced when he did not pay the slightest bit of attention to Pride's highly weakened state, which he could have fixed in a matter of seconds, at the time of the final battle.
He was voiced by Iemasa Kayumi in the Japanese version and Kent Williams in the English.
Lucifer (Dante's Inferno)[]
Lucifer is the fallen angel that rules over Hell and the main antagonist of the videogame Dante’s Inferno. Lucifer was once God’s most favored angel, the "Morning Star, the brightest in the sky" as he called himself, and lived in Heaven, having no superior other than the Lord himself. But his great beauty and power sowed a belief that he was a perfect being and he became enraged when God’s favorite creation became man. Lucifer gathered an army and attempted to take control of Heaven, but was defeated and lost God's favor. As punishment, he and his minions were cast into Hell, where Lucifer seized control, becoming ruler of the damned.
While Dante Alighieri was fighting in the Crusades, Lucifer and Danet's fiance Beatrice Portinari made a bet. If Dante kept his vow not to sleep with any woman while he was gone, Beatrice would see his safe return from the war. If not, her soul would belong to Lucifer.
The lord of the damned won the bet and when Beatrice was killed, he took her soul to Hell with him. Dante chased after them, determined to save Beatrice from the Inferno while Lucifer constantly taunted him and forced him to undergo flashbacks of his sins to try and break his spirit. As Dante traveled through the Circle of Anger, he was forced to watch as Lucifer had Beatrice undergo the final ritual to become his bride.
After freeing Beatrice from Hell, Dante descended into the Circle of Treachery where he encountered Lucifer in a giant three-faced form trapped in a lake of ice formed from his own frozen tears named Cocytus. Dante succeeded in greatly injuring the demon, but he only split his stomach open to let out his true form, a corrupted version of his old self with torn wings, large horns, and goat legs.
Lucifer revealed that Beatrice had never been the one he sought to use to free himself from Hell, she had simply been bait to draw in Dante. Others had tried to free him before, including Alexander the Great, Attila the Hun, and Lancelot, but they had not been impure enough to get through his outer body. However Dante had been perfect for the job since he had the strength to fight his way through Hell and a soul black enough to free Lucifer. The lord of the damned then began battling Dante on Cocytus, but the demon was overpowered by him. However Lucifer revealed that despite the crusader's defeat of Death, he was still dead and could not leave Hell because of his sins. But Dante called on the souls that he had absolved on his journey and asked that they do the same for him. The souls poured forth and drove Lucifer back into his imprisoning body, then bound his arms in ice. They then gave Dante passage to Purgatory, but when he arrived there, he tore off the tapestry on his chest, which formed into a snake and Lucifer’s laugh was heard, implying that he did manage to escape from the Inferno.
Mephistopheles[]
Mephistopheles is a demonic figure from German folklore who was made famous in the legend of the German magician Dr. Johann Georg Faust (simply known as Faust) but would become a stock character in Germanic literature as a type of folk-devil and a personification of evil. His name is also another alias for The Devil. He also serves as the main antagonist in all the media adaptations of the folklore, most notably in Goethe's Faust, which Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's magnum opus.
Despite his scholarly eminence, Faust is bored and disappointed. He decides to call on the devil for further knowledge and magic powers with which to indulge all the pleasure and knowledge of the world. In response, the devil's representative Mephistopheles appears. He makes a bargain with Faust: Mephistopheles will serve Faust with his magic powers for a term of years, but at the end of the term, the devil will claim Faust's soul and Faust will be eternally damned. The term usually stipulated in the early tales is 24 years.
During the term, Faust makes use of Mephistopheles in various ways. In many versions of the story, in particular, Goethe's drama, Mephistopheles helps him to seduce a beautiful and innocent girl, usually named Gretchen, whose life is destroyed. However, Gretchen's naive innocence saves her in the end and she enters Heaven. In Goethe's rendition, Faust is saved by God's grace via his constant striving—in combination with Gretchen's pleadings with God in the form of the Eternal Feminine. However, in the early tales, Faust is irrevocably corrupted and believes his sins cannot be forgiven; when the term ends, the devil carries him off to Hell.
Black Fairy[]
Fiona, also known as The Black Fairy, is the overarching antagonist of the ABC fantasy TV series Once Upon a Time, serving as the Bigger Bad up to Season 5 and the main antagonist of Season 6, being the primary antagonist in the Emma Swan Saga (Season 1-6). She is the mother of Rumplestiltskin, the former wife of Malcolm/Peter Pan, the grandmother of Baelfire and Gideon and the great-grandmother of Henry Mills.
Fiona is the creator of the Dark Curse as well as the dark fairy dust used by Snow White, the mastermind behind the kidnapping and corruption of her grandson: Rumple and Belle's son Gideon, as well as being responsible for Rumplestiltskin's fate as the Dark One. Due to those aforementioned actions, she is the primary antagonist of the entire OUAT franchise.
Rumplestiltskin has stated that all the darkness faced by the heroes was born out of the Black Fairy's soul, meaning that she is indirectly responsible for most (or all) evil-doings in the series. She is alluded to several times throughout the series, in Seasons 1 (referring to the creator of the Curse and Snow's dark fairy dust) 3 (being described by Tinker Bell and her wand being utilized) and 5 (again referring to the creator of the Dark Curse). She can be seen as the Bigger Bad of the entire series until she becomes the Big Bad for Season 6.
She is portrayed by Jaime Murray.
Zorc Necrophades[]
Zorc the Dark One also known as Zorc Necrophades in the Japanese version was the central antagonist of the Pharaoh's Memories arc of Yu-Gi-Oh!, and as the source of the shadow power that was sought by Yami Bakura, one of the central forces throughout the series. He was described as a "Great Evil God" who was created out of the darkness of people's hearts, and his dark power was what was later used to create the Millennium Items and their powers. (In the dub, Zorc was euphemized as the creator of the Shadow Realm.) He was the true form and entity behind Yami Bakura.
Zorc Necrophades was born eons before the Millennium Items were originally created, by his own claim, from the darkness in the hearts of people. (In the dub, he was the creator of the Shadow Realm, and therefore, predated the Millennium Items, though they were made by using his power.) He was an entity of pure evil, and desired nothing other than the total and absolute annihilation of all life. He was summoned by Aknadin, who brought all seven Millennium Items together in an underground crypt in Kul Elna 3000 years previous (5000 years in the dub). Zorc then infused a shard of his soul within Aknadin and created the Great Shadow Magus. Bandit King Bakura then managed to obtain all seven Millennium Items, and sacrificed himself in order to grant Zorc a physical form on Earth.
Zorc attempted to destroy the world, but was stopped by Pharaoh Atem. Atem sacrificed his life by sealing himself and Zorc (or at least, the memories of Zorc) within the Millennium Puzzle. Zorc managed to live on by sealing a fragment of his soul within the Millennium Ring. Also, during an unspecified point in time, King Bakura had also sealed his soul in the Millennium Ring, and both souls merged together and formed Yami Bakura. The fragment of Zorc's soul and the spirit of King Bakura later resurfaced when they possessed Bakura Ryou as the villain, Yami Bakura, who wished to obtain all seven Millennium Items in order to resurrect Zorc. Eventually, when Atem wished to regain his memories, Yami Bakura turned the event into a Shadow Game, known as the Dark RPG, which was played in the world of the Pharaoh's memories, and attempted to release Zorc's full self from the Millennium Puzzle, which gave him a second chance to destroy the world. Using his third Hourglass Token, Yami Bakura was able to transfer Zorc from the Millennium Puzzle into the World of Memories, where the latter proceeded to repeat his past actions.
Yog-Sothoth[]
Yog-Sothoth is an unfathomably powerful cosmic entity from the Cthulhu Mythos works of dark fantasy writer, H.P. Lovecraft. He the most powerful of the Outer Gods, a race of ancient alien deities who wield great power, size and intelligence, equal and possibly even superior to Azathoth himself, as well as the largest and most intelligent - dwarfing the famous Cthulhu in the same scale that Cthulhu dwarfs humanity, and is a truly cosmic menace that is beyond mortal comprehension. Yog-Sothoth is the embodiment of all of time and space across an essentially infinite number of space-time continuums, for all intents and purpose, he is connected to the multiverse. He is the grandfather of Cthulhu and the grandson of Azathoth.
Yog-Sothoth is not only an all-knowing, all-seeing and all-powerful being, but he also, like the fellow Outer God Nyarlathotep, has displayed to possess numerous avatars, such as the Lurker at the Threshold, and has served as the Godly father of Wilbur Whateley, The Dunwich Horror and the spouse of Shub-Niggurath. He was born from the Nameless Mist, one of the three offspring of Azathoth alongside Darkness and Nyarlathotep.
Yog-Sothoth has appeared in a various number of Lovecraft's stories, but was first mentioned in the horror novel, The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, and has gone on to appear in more of his stories, serving as a driving force in The Dunwich Horror, the secondary antagonist and Bigger Bad of At the Mountains of Madness and a somewhat benevolent character in Beyond the Gates of the Silver Key.
According to the mythology of Lovecraft and the Cthulhu Mythos, Yog-Sothoth is a limitless cosmic horror that is connected with all of space and time yet is locked away from mainstream reality - the monstrous deity sees all and knows all and can impart knowledge to anyone foolish enough to seek its favor, which often required human sacrifice or worse and would ultimately bring calamity and ruin to the would-be-follower.
Like many Lovecraftian deities Yog-Sothoth has a number of avatars and even followers (such as the Chorazos Cult) by which to expand its influence and although classed as "evil" is technically an amoral character that is simply beyond our understanding of petty morality or sanity (indeed Lovecraft wrote in a very dark fashion that swayed away from moral absolutes and saw the universe as being cold and cruel by its very nature).
Master Org[]
The Master Org is the ruthless and diabolical ruler of the Orgs from 3,000 years ago and the posthumous, and later final antagonist in the Power Rangers: Wild Force. He was defeated by Merrick using Predazord soon after he defeated Animus, but later reincarnated within his doppelganger Viktor Adler. He is the overall main antagonist in Power Rangers Wild Force.
Master Org is a name that applies to two beings in the story of Power Rangers: Wild Force. One of them is the original Master Org, who led the battle against the Animarium 3,000 years ago and destroyed Animus. However, that Master Org was then destroyed by Merrick Baliton, the guardian of Princess Shayla who was empowered by the evil wolf mask of Zen-Aku.
Years later, a human reincarnated "Master Org", the scientist Dr. Viktor Adler and his companions Richard and Elizabeth Evans discovered the seeds that remained of Master Org while on an expedition to prove the existence of the Animarium. Driven by his jealousy toward Richard, who had the hand of Elizabeth and had taken the spotlight from him when they announced that they would be searching for the Animarium, Dr. Adler took the seeds secretly, and out of personal revenge, swallowed them and gained the powers of an Org, killing his companions, but never finding Cole.
So it was that Dr. Viktor Adler became the second Master Org and he wore a helmet with a fake horn. He was aided by the Duke Orgs Jindrax and Toxica, who later found out his secret. He temporarily turned them into slaves, but they escaped. After repeated defeats at the hands of the Wild Force Power Rangers, Master Org fought them himself. In the process, he lost his Org powers, and was then killed by General Org Mandilok.
However, from Dr. Adler's dead husk was born the true Master Org, with a real Org horn on his forehead. He sent Duke Org Onikage to arrange for his return and destroy Toxica. When he came, he destroyed Mandilok and kidnapped Shayla. He then invoked a ceremony to create an Org Heart that included Princess Shayla's necklace, summoning Retinax, Nayzor, and Mandilok to guard him. He swallowed the Heart, and his human body crumbled into dust.
Unfortunately, Master Org used the Org Heart to create a full-Org body, which resembled a composite of the three General Orgs, with his forearms modeled after Jindrax and Toxica, and had taken the Nexus Blade as his own weapon. He attacked the Animarium, destroyed the Predazord and Animus (and with that, Kite was no more) and was seemingly destroyed by the Kongazord Striker, but the Org Heart quickly restored him. He then proceeded to destroy the Kongazord Striker, as well as every last Wild Zord, (therefore, the Rangers lose their powers in the process) and brought the Animarium down to Earth. He attacked Turtle Cove, but was destroyed when the Wild Zords were all revived and countless others combined powers with them. Master Org was hit with an Ultra Roar, and disappeared into nothingness. The Org Heart itself was then destroyed by the Red Lion Ranger and the Lunar Wolf Ranger with the Jungle Sword. With the destruction of Master Org, Dr. Viktor Adler could finally rest in peace.
Master Org is played by Ilia Volok.
Nekron[]
Nekron is one of the foremost cosmic supervillains and dark gods originating in the DC universe and is mostly an enemy of the Green Lantern and Captain Atom, though his grand-scale could very well put him in league with any of DC's big villains if he ever succeeded in his goals. He is the primary antagonist in Blackest Night event.
It is confirmed by DC that Nekron is not, as was thought, the personification of Death, but in fact the embodiment of Black, the little-understood conceptual energy that opposed the light of creation, and once claimed the living universe before being driven off by the being that introduced the White Light of creation (left ambiguous, but implied to be what people traditionally refer to as "God" or "the singularity", or other such reasonings for the creation of life).
Although he is a sentient being, Nekron is not alive as we understand the concept. He is the complete ruler of the Land of the Unliving, a dimension where souls go before their final judgment. As his eternal punishment, he is also imprisoned within this realm, unable to leave, although he frequently attempts to escape into our dimension. His origins remain completely shrouded in mystery. Nobody knows how he rose to power in his realm, or whether or not he was at one point a living being. Recent sources have claimed that Nekron is not so much a part of darkness, but in fact is the darkness, predating the existence of life as we know it.
Further, It is stated that the darkness itself created Nekron as its persona and uses him to protect itself from the life. It has also been hinted at that the guardians of the universe clashed with Nekron close to the beginning of the universe and imprisoned him.
King Piccolo[]
Demon King Piccolo Daimaou is the main antagonist of the original Dragon Ball manga/anime (although he is not the final enemy, as his son Piccolo Jr. was fought after him). He was also Goku's first archenemy.
When King Piccolo first appears, he is designed to appear as a strange-looking divine creature, like a goblin. Kami, King Piccolo's good counterpart, shares an almost identical resemblance, and later in Dragon Ball Z, it is revealed that this is the normal Namekians' typical appearance. King Piccolo is one of the tallest and largest of the villains in the original Dragon Ball series, towering over all his opponents. When he first appears in person, he is very aged, and wears a black robe outfit with his own kanji symbol in the center, a red cape, and with brown footwear. His main outfit, without the robe and cape, is a dark blue martial arts uniform, with a light purple belt. Later when he removes the robe for better performance, he was shown able to demonstrate more skills, which might imply that, like his son's cape, his robe is weighted.
Being the concentrated evil that use to live within Kami before the separation, Piccolo Daimao is very cold, ruthless, manipulative, sadistic, vain, malevolent, cunning, oppressive, power-hungry, and intelligent. Whenever he is inflicting pain on an opponent, or watching one of his subordinates attack someone else, he always smiles and/or laughs.
He was born when Kami separated himself from his evil side in order to become God of Earth. King Piccolo is notable to be the most evil and threatening villain at this point in the series, whose story arc toned down its comedic aspect, and the first villain responsible for the death of many major protagonists. It was because of him that Kami created the Dragon Balls for Earth and is the arch-nemesis of Goku, alongside Frieza and Dr. Gero.
The Master[]
The Master is a majorly recurring villain from the Doctor Who series. He is a member of the Time Lord race and is the childhood friend turned archenemy of the Doctor. An insane meglomaniac, the Master's choice of name comes from his ultimate ambition, to conquer and reign supreme over the universe.
The Master has been played by various actors, originally by the late Roger Delgado followed by Peter Pratt, Geoffrey Beevers (in the same incarnation), the late Anthony Ainley, Gordon Tipple (in the same incarination), Eric Roberts, Derek Jacobi, John Simm and most recently Michelle Gomez as a female incarnation known as Missy (short for Mistress).
William Hughes also played a child version of the Master in flashbacks shown in the third series. Many voice actors have also voiced The Master in the Big Finish audio stories (i.e Alex Maqueen, Derek Jacobi and others).
The Master is deeply megalomaniacal and shows signs of psychopathic behavior as his greatest fear in the universe is being outdone by the Doctor - leading him to becoming obsessed with ruining everything the Doctor stands for. This has served to make the Master one of the Doctor's greatest and most recurring opponents and also the one that has caused the most emotional pain to the Doctor during the decades long feud between the two characters. Like every Time Lord, the Master changes his looks and personality slightly every time he regenerates to escape death. The Master is also extremely narcissistic - he seldom, if at all, did anything for others but himself, and heralded himself constantly. He is also extremely intelligent in terms of science, manipulation, technology, strategy and negotiation: his only intellectual rival is, of course, the Doctor.
Trigon[]
Trigon is a fictional supervillain published by DC Comics and the main antagonist of Teen Titans franchise (besides Deathstroke). He is one of the most powerful beings in the DC Universe, having enslaved many worlds. He is the archenemy and father to the superhero Raven.
A sadistic, cruel, and powerful demon of inter-dimensional origin, Trigon is a result of the mating between a female member of a mystic sect and the god they worshipped. A side effect of this pairing is that their child was filled with the cast-off evil energies of the inhabitants of Azarath, forming him into their personification. At birth, Trigon killed everyone around him (including his own mother). At the age of one, he ruled an entire planet. At the age of six, he destroyed an entire planet. And by the age of thirty, he held dominion over millions of worlds in his dimension. There is some confusion regarding the origins of Trigon, as he claims to have existed as formless energy since the beginning of his own universe, while the energies cast off by Azar and Azarath simply allowed him to take physical form roughly a thousand years before DC's present day.
Arella was a depressed woman who decided to join a cult known as the Church of Blood that was trying to kill Trigon. When the ritual was performed, Trigon, disguised as a handsome male, emerged and married Arella. After making love, Arella discovered Trigon's true nature after seeing his true form. Trigon sends Arella back to Earth, and Arella is pregnant and on the brink of suicide when she is found by an extra-dimensional cult and is brought to Azarath, where she gives birth to their daughter Raven. Raven is brought up to "control her emotions" in order to suppress and control the demonic powers she inherited from Trigon. During this time, Trigon was aware of his daughter's whereabouts, but rarely intervened, except when a renegade monk of the cult attempted to cast Raven as an infant into another dimension to avert her potential threat; Trigon struck him down at the moment of the deed, and allowed the cult to keep her safe at present. Raven learned of Trigon's intentions to conquer the Earth and vowed to stop him; she initially approached the Justice League, but they refused her on the advice of Zatanna, who sensed her demonic parentage.
In desperation, Raven reformed the Teen Titans with several new members in order to fight her father. The team was eventually able to defeat Trigon and seal him in an interdimensional prison. However, Raven still had to fight her father's influence, as he was not completely destroyed. Trigon eventually escaped and came to Earth, taking control of Raven and destroying Azarath in the process. The Titans came together and tried to fight Trigon, but were contaminated by his demonic influence and killed Raven; this allowed the souls of Azarath to possess her and use her as a channel to kill Trigon—the demonic possession had been part of a plan to defeat Trigon, as the Titans would never have killed Raven on their own—blasting him out of existence with a beam of purifying light. Although Trigon is gone, his followers (led by Brother Blood) have tried to revive him several times. TrigonElla, his late daughter by Ella from eriole world of white witches located next to Azarath was Born shortly after his death being conceived weeks before his death. She was brought up and given a mission to kill her half sister raven and to bring Trigon alive once again.
First of the Fallen[]
The First of the Fallen, also as Satan and Lucifer, is a powerful demonic lord of Hell DC Comics Vertigo imprint, Hellblazer. He debuted in Hellblazer #42 (June 1991), and was created by Garth Ennis and Will Simpson.
The being that would become the First of the Fallen was originally the first created being in the universe, created to be God's companion and the embodiment of His conscience. However, he soon came to believe that God was insane, and as a result was banished from Heaven and cast down to Hell - becoming the first of the many others who would fall. He was joined shortly afterwards by the Second and Third of the Fallen, who the First assumed were beings like him when in truth they were very powerful demons. On the basis of his misunderstanding, the First assumes that the Second and Third share his power and that the establishment of a ruling triumvirate is the only way to prevent a disastrous war in Hell. The triumvirate lasts only until the next banished from Heaven arrives: Lucifer, the most powerful being in existence next to God. However, once Lucifer abdicates, the triumvirate resumed their former positions and delicate truce.
In his ongoing battle against God, the First became aware of another attempt by Heaven to birth a new Messiah and charged the demon Nergal with preventing it. Nergal succeeded in this by infecting a magician named John Constantine with its blood and blackmailing him into sleeping with the Messiah's intended mother, a pure innocent called Zed. Tainted by Nergal's demon blood, Zed became an unsuitable vessel for the Messiah, and Heaven's plans were defeated. However, the First discovered that Constantine was attempting to get the Messiah born through other means, acting as a surrogate father to the daughter of a plant elemental. Nergal attempted to prevent the birth, but was defeated by Constantine and then killed by the First on his return to Hell.
The First came into contact with John Constantine himself in Ireland, where the demon attended the death of an alcoholic who had sold his soul in exchange for the greatest collection of wine in the world. Constantine was also visiting his friend, trying to find a magical cure for his terminal lung cancer, and delayed the First in claiming the soul by tricking him into drinking holy water. This invoked a clause in the contract allowing the alcoholic's soul to go to heaven because it wasn't collected by midnight. The First decided to extract his revenge on Constantine once his cancer claimed his life - but when he came to claim the soul that was his "by right of insult", he found that Constantine had managed to sell his soul to both the Second and the Third of the Fallen. In order to prevent all out war over who would claim the soul, the triumvirate were forced to cure the magician's cancer and save his life; their meager consolation was to do this in the most painful manner imaginable. This only served to increase the First's lust for revenge against the mortal who had bested him.
Things only went worse as the First discovered that Constantine had a spy in hell, the succubus Ellie. In trying to punish the demon, the First was again bested by Constantine, which invoked an ancient law that a demon bested three times by a mortal would receive their torment instead. The First refused to receive Constantine's destined torment, but it didn't improve his disposition towards the magician. The First took this vendetta against Constantine extremely seriously: he once spent twenty years making nightly visits to a priest in an asylum, tormenting him to suicide simply to show Constantine the kind of torment that was awaiting him. The priest was pushed over the brink by hearing the First's confession that he had seen for himself that God was insane and so acted against His will.
The First continued to brood over Constantine, until he discovered the true nature of his "brothers" in the triumvirate. Realising they could not match his power, he destroyed them both and set about claiming Constantine's soul. Unfortunately, the whole plot turned out to be a long-con arranged by the magician: the First of the Fallen was killed by the succubus Ellie, wielding a knife made from the remains of the Second and Third of the Fallen. Instead of true death, however, the First was reincarnated as a Greek fisherman named Theo whilst retaining his memories of his previous existence. He grew close to defeating Constantine with the help of a demon named Buer, but although the First was restored to his previous life and position the magician still managed to escape damnation through more sneaky trickery.
The First contented himself with occasionally tormenting Constantine, as the events slowly came into place to give the demon the closest thing to victory over Constantine that he ever achieved. The magician's plotting had left him and his friends with a magical taint that was slowly destroying their lives: the First removed this and saved Constantine's friends - at the price of his immortal soul. Constantine only managed to escape by convincing God to intercede on his behalf, denying the First of the satisfaction of complete victory.
Whilst his desire to obtain revenge on Constantine seemed to be sated, the First still enjoyed the opportunity of causing the magician pain wherever he could. He passed on the opportunity of purchasing Constantine (thinking that he wasn't being given the genuine article) but as a final twist of the knife convinced Cheryl Constantine to volunteer to remain suffering in Hell after her brother John had successfully arranged her freedom.
Dezumozorlya[]
Wicked Life God Dezumozorlya is a parasitic entity and the primary antagonist of Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger, its ultimate goal being to assimilate all life. It was originally held in a meteorite until it crashed to Earth and caused it to split. Dezumozorlya's essence became divided between the two earths, and taking one being of each world as its host and transmigrating itself through the host's descendants. It is said that its presence has caused war and famine throughout history. At the start of Abaranger, Lije held the essence of its Dino Earth-counterpart while its inactive Earth-counterpart was held by Mikoto Nakadai.
Dezumozorlya, worshipped by the Evoliens as a God of Evil, has launched genocidal wars against innocent planets for no reason other than bigotry, for fun, or because the people of those worlds refused to worship him as a god. It also stands as the only rapist in the entire franchise as it brainwashed Mahoro so she could give birth to Lijewl and cares nothing about the fact that its acts are despicable. Despite his belief in his superiority to other lifeforms, Dezumozorlya demonstrates cruelty and sadism, such as how it takes sheer delight in the destruction it causes in the finale, which shows it is Not So Different to the beings that it despises.
N'Zoth[]
N'Zoth is one of the Old Gods nicknamed "The Corrupter" and the overarching antagonist in World of Warcraft.
He is the Old God primarily responsible for the corruption of Nelfarion into Deathwing and is also speculated to be the one responsible for turning Queen Azshara into a Naga. He is currently the only Old God still active and rules the Nightmare from the depths of Azeroth's seas beyond the Rift of Aln, a location in the Emerald Dream linked to the Twisting Nether that is appears to be a reflection of a similarly-named massive chasm in the seafloor beneath the Maelstrom.
N'Zoth was the first Old God imprisoned by the Titans after the death of Y'Shaarj when they discovered that killing the Old Gods could also cause the destruction of Azeroth as well, being sealed beneath the oceans. It's implied that he's actually broken his bonds, though he still received aid from Yogg-Saron and C'Thun in corrupting Deathwing provided they use Deathwing's Dragon Soul to escape Azeroth.
Bat Fangire[]
The Bat Fangire is the original King of the Checkmate Four and the main antagonist of Kamen Rider Kiva. He is the first Dark Kiva, the lord of all Fangires and the original Kiva who was a threat to humanity in his time. His true name is The Dawn Sleeps, A Magnificent Story's Ending. He is from the Beast Class of the Fangire subclass.
The Bat Fangire is, the lord of all Fangires and the original Kiva who was a threat to humanity in his time. Despite being married to the previous Queen of the Checkmate Four, Maya, he has no actual love for her as her purpose to him was the birth of his son, Taiga Nobori.
When the King returns from afar to check up on his mate and son, he is angered to learn from Bishop that Maya has been meeting with Otoya, a human who has been using the Ixa System to slaughter their race, sparing her as the action of killing her would prove that he loved her and letting her be the one to kill the human. He later goes after Jiro to finish what the Rook started: the extermination of the Wolfen Race, along with putting an end to the last of Merman and Franken races as well. However, he eventually offers the three a chance to avoid extermination, provided they kill Otoya for him.
The three are unable to do it, choosing to flee town instead. Riki and Ramon were unable to escape the King, who seals them into the Dogga Hammer and the Basshaa Magnum respectively so they can serve as decorations within Castle Doran. He is heartbroken and enraged when Maya reciprocates Otoya's love for her, preparing to kill them when Jiro intervenes and finds himself sealed into the Garulu Saber. After capturing Otoya, the King forcibly takes him to Castle Doran, using his life energy to feed the monstrous beast. As a final request, the King allows Otoya to play his violin one last time before he died, but Maya interferes and fights her consort while Yuri escapes with Otoya.
Maya is ultimately stripped of her title and Fangire powers as a result, with the King later forcing her to never see Otoya again by using Taiga's well-being to enforce it. When Kivat-bat the 2nd witnesses Wataru Kurenai, Otoya's son from 22 years into the future, transform into Kiva, both this and his partner's cruel methods ultimately lead to the King losing Kivat the 2nd to Otoya, resulting in the final confrontation between the two. After the battle, the King is ultimately killed indirectly by the hand of his own son when he tried to kill him and Maya. However, the Bat Fangire is resurrected by Bishop to kill both Taiga and Wataru, only for the revived King to be killed by them.

Argosax the Chaos[]
Argosax (in Japanese: アーゴザックス, Aagozakkusu), also known as Argosax the Chaos (in Japanese: アーゴザックス ス チャオス, Aagozakkusu su Chaosu) and The Despair Embodied (in Japanese: ス デスパーア エンボディエッド Su Desupaaa Enbodieddo), is one of the two main antagonists of Devil May Cry 2 alongside Arius. He was a powerful king who once ruled the Demon World a few centuries ago. Being both god and demon, he is considered to be the most evil deity of all time from the Vie de Marli clan's legends.
In his true form, the Despair Embodied, Argosax possess an androgynous appearance depending on the form in which he shifts (possessing both masculine and feminine traits), although both his male and female appearances features a fire-like appearance in the formation of a human with horns protruding from the head.
Little is witnessed of Argosax, who is seemingly lacking even the capability of speech. However, he is described by the protectors of Vie De Marli and the legends surrounding him as the most evil god of all time, possessing a dark and malevolent nature. He's also descibed as to possessing "awesome dignity" concerning himself.
Amara the Darkness[]
The Darkness, also called "Amara", is an antagonist appearing on the CW television series Supernatural, first debuting in the Season 10 finale "Brother's Keeper". The Darkness is the main antagonist of Season 11 and arguably the Bigger Bad of Seasons 9 and 10.
The Darkness is God's older sister, an ancient, primordial force that existed before God Himself came into being. Sometime later, after her brother God came into being, he created the Archangels to fight a terrible war against her. Through the combined power of God and the Archangels, God sealed her away, not wanting to kill her, by using the Mark of Cain as both a lock and key. God revealed that he chose not to kill her in her weakened state as she needed to exist with himself so reality wouldn't be destroyed. Whilst the Archangels battled her and thus knew of her existence, she is so ancient and mysterious that the Demons and even the Angels, except for Metatron, didn't believe she existed or was locked away. However, Metatron knew about her and who she was, as he was God's scribe. Both Heaven and Hell thought it to be a "myth" or "scary bedtime story", told to keep others in line.
When Rowena used a spell from the Book of the Damned in order to free Dean of the Mark (which he gained from Cain to kill Abaddon and had been bearing it since), the Darkness was unleashed once again. While on Earth, The Darkness has taken the body of a female baby, Amara. Since regaining her power by consuming human souls, she matured and grew into a young woman in just a few months. As a young woman, she has also developed a romantic affection for Dean, and is possibly in love with him.
With Dean's help, the Darkness reconciled with her brother and departed the Earth with him, but not before leaving Dean a thank you present.
When incarnated in human form, it was played by Emily Swallow (as a grown woman), Gracyn Shinyei (as a prepubescent girl), Yasmeene Ball (as a pre-teen), and Samantha Isler (as a teenager).

Supreme Leader Snoke is a major antagonist in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, appearing in Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens and its sequel, Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi as the secondary antagonist.
Snoke, a Force-sensitive humanoid male alien, was the Supreme Leader of the First Order and a powerful practitioner of the dark side of the Force. Although he practiced the ways of the dark side, Snoke was not a Sith; that order perished with the deaths of the last two Sith Lords, Darth Sidious and Darth Vader. Like the Sith, Snoke sought to achieve the complete destruction of the Jedi Order, which he saw as a symbol of hope that could thwart his plans of galactic conquest. To that end, he successfully turned the young but powerful Ben Solo to the dark side. Solo, who had once trained in the ways of the light side of the Force as part of a new generation of Jedi, renounced his ties to the Jedi Order and his family in favor of becoming Kylo Ren—master of the Knights of Ren and apprentice to the Supreme Leader. With Ren under his command, Snoke set his new acolyte to task by dispatching him to hunt and kill Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, the uncle and former mentor of Ben Solo.
During the waning days of the cold war, as Ren led the hunt for the map to Skywalker, General Armitage Hux informed Snoke that the Starkiller superweapon was complete and thereby proposed to test its destructive firepower on the New Republic capital world of Hosnian Prime. Snoke approved the general's plan, resulting in the annihilation of the entire Hosnian system, the Galactic Senate, and a substantial portion of the New Republic Defense Fleet. With the Republic in disarray, Snoke turned his attention to the Resistance—a paramilitary group led by Ren's mother, General Leia Organa—and ordered Hux to use the weapon on D'Qar where the Resistance base was located. However, Starkiller Base was destroyed in a Resistance raid and Ren was defeated by Rey, a Force-sensitive scavenger from Jakku.
Despite the loss of the superweapon, Snoke deployed the armed forces of the First Order across the galaxy with the intention of seizing control of the major star systems. At the same time, he personally oversaw the First Order's efforts to destroy the Resistance. Using his mobile headquarters, the Mega-class Star Dreadnought Supremacy, as a command ship, the Supreme Leader's armada pursued the Resistance fleet from D'Qar to the Crait system. He also began to reconsider his view on Ren, whom he now regarded as a failed apprentice and unworthy of Vader's legacy. Believing Ren was not strong enough to hide his conflicted heart, Snoke used his powers to bridge the minds of Ren and Rey, who bonded with each other through the Force, as a way to lure the aspiring Jedi into a trap. Rey ultimately took the bait, convinced that she could redeem Ren, and was tortured by Snoke who succeeded in probing her mind for Skywalker's place of exile. Having gained the knowledge he sought, Snoke ordered Ren to execute Rey. Yet as he concentrated on Ren's thoughts, the Supreme Leader did not sense his apprentice's impending betrayal in the form of the Skywalker lightsaber, which Ren used to assassinate his master. The dark warrior then claimed the mantle of Supreme Leader for himself and implicated Rey—who rejected Ren's offer to rule the galaxy together—as the one responsible for Snoke's death.
King George Washington[]
George Washingon was the Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolution and was the very first President of the United States.
He is a central character and an ally of the Assassin; Ratonhnhaké:ton AKA, Connor in the video game Assassin's Creed III. However, in the alternate reality DLC entitled The Tyranny of King Washington, Washington becomes mad with power and declares himself King of America, becoming a megalomaniacal dictator as the main antagonist.
In this DLC, George Washington crowned himself the King of the United States in The Tyranny of King Washington, used the Apple of Eden to obtain loyalty from his troops, and ruled from a massive Pyramid palace in New York. Kaniehtí:io infiltrated the palace and stole the scepter containing the Apple, but Israel Putnam shot it off her back before she escaped, recovering it for the king. Washington responded to Kaniehtí:io's theft by launching an assault on the Frontier, burning Concord and Lexington to find her. She and her son confronted Washington in Lexington, but Ratonhnhaké:ton - who was actually the one from the original timeline - expressed confusion as to why Washington would do this. King Washington, who never knew Connor, deemed him a delusional savage and rode off. Kaniehtí:io and Ratonhnhaké:ton returned to Kanatahséton, when Washington's troops attacked. The king rode in with Arnold and Putnam at his side, and proceeded to kill Kaniehtí:io with the scepter. Ratonhnhaké:ton, enraged at witnessing his mother being killed by Washington (again) tried to attack the king, but he was no match for his power granted to him by the scepter, once Ratonhnhaké:ton was defeated Washington proceeded to shoot him repeatedly and stab him with a bayonet before leaving him for dead.
Ratonhnhaké:ton survived though, and after assassinating Arnold, he was captured by Putnam and brought to Boston as a present for the king. There, an impressed and curious Washington observed Ratonhnhaké:ton in his cell, and chose to have him executed. However, the Assassin escaped and assaulted Benjamin Franklin, severing Washington's grip on his mind. The king teleported in, refusing to have anyone meddle in his plans. However, Ratonhnhaké:ton proved to be a match for the king this time, having embarked on spirit journeys to gain the powers of the wolf and eagle. The king fled to his palace in New York, leaving Putnam in charge of Boston. When Ratonhnhaké:ton arrived in New York using the Aquila to devastate Washington's fleet, the king rode out to the west district, where he found Franklin washed ashore. Franklin vowed he would not come under Washington's spell again, so the king obliged by trying to kill him instead.
Fortunately, Ratonhnhaké:ton's friend Kanen'tó:kon tackled Washington, knocking the scepter away. Kanen'tó:kon almost assassinated the helpless king, but a group of soldiers shot him to death. Washington took back the scepter and retreated to his palace. Buoyed by Ratonhnhaké:ton's destruction of the fleet, Thomas Jefferson led an attack on the Pyramid's courtyard. Ratonhnhaké:ton, having gained the power of the bear, began shaking the courtyard, Washington overheard from his throne and expressed anger that people would attack him after all he had done in the war. As unrest in the city spread, Washington tried to win popularity by declaring he would invade England and enslave its population, but this did not prevent the populace from turning on the military occupation.
As fighting raged before his palace gates, Washington stood atop the Pyramid's stained glass ceiling, waiting for Ratonhnhaké:ton to confront him. When the Assassin arrived, he offered to spare Washington if he gave up the Apple, claiming the Apple controlled him, but the king refused. Ratonhnhaké:ton ended the battle by breaking the ceiling, causing the two men to fall inside the Pyramid. A mortally wounded Washington picked up the Apple and slumped into his throne. By reaching for the Apple, Ratonhnhaké:ton returned to his own time.
It wasn't made apparent what happened to King Washington when Ratonhnhaké:ton grabbed the Apple. It was supposed that Washington was murdered by the warrior, although he may have simply succumbed to his wounds from the fall and died.
Black Cross Fuhrer[]
The Black Cross Fuhrer is the supreme leader of the Black Cross Army and the primary antagonist of Himitsu Sentai Gorenger. He is a mysterious figure who seeks to dominate the entire world under his rule. He eventually returns as the main antagonist of Gokaiger Goseiger Hero 199 Great Battle, now going by the name the Black Cross King.
As the leader of the Black Cross Army, all of the Fuhrer's subjects are unquestionably loyal to him. The punishment for a Black Crusader even thinking about going against him is immediate death.
The Black Cross Fuhrer possesses a wide array of abilities. He is incredibly skilled in magic and is also capable of disguising himself as someone of either gender. His most significant ability, however, is his ability to transform into the Black Cross Army's floating base, the Black Cross Castle.
The Black Cross Fuhrer stays hidden for most of the series, though he was often referred to as the "Machine Monster" for his seemingly invincible nature. Initially commanding the Black Cross Army's Masked Monsters directly, the Fuhrer later brought in his generals to command the monsters after their continued failures to defeat the Gorengers.
Eventually, the Black Cross Fuhrer is revealed to be an alien machine and the true form of the Black Cross Castle. When the Cassiopeia constellation entered the House of Scorpio and weakened him, the Fuhrer decided to go out and confront the Gorangers himself. Though he manages to defeat all five of them, he is forced to retreat when the Cassiopeia constellation weakens him. After Commander-in-Chief Golden Mask sacrifices himself to reveal the location of the Gorenger's base, the Fuhrer revealed his true form as the Black Cross Castle and attempted to destroy it. However, he was defeated when the Gorengers used their "Cassiopeia" Five Star attack against him.
Chakravartin (Asura's Wrath)[]
Chakravartin is the God of the Universe and all the world and the primary antagonist in Asura's Wrath. Chakravartin (転輪王, Tenrinjōō; Sanskrit: चक्रवर्ति), also known as the Golden Spider, is the mysterious ruler of Naraka, and the God of Mantra. He accompanied Asura after his fall, which was later revealed to be his plan for choosing an ideal ruler for Gaia. Chakravartin is the true main antagonist of Asura's Wrath.
As the God of Mantra, Chakravartin is a calm, all-seeing and wise individual. As the Golden Spider, he showed a knack of teasing Asura, speaking in riddles and questioning him on his motives and the reason of his anger. He is also shown to be very ruthless, as he didn't hesitate in destroying Olga to protect Mithra and the role she would fulfill in his plans.
Chakravartin likes to place his creations on "trials" to see if they are truly worthy of living, typically without paying attention to any collateral damage and suffering his trials entail. This includes creating and releasing the Gohma on Gaea, which sparked the conflict between the Demigods and the Gohma, and Deus's betrayal to gain enough power to create a new world. Ultimately, due to his unchecked actions, he's responsible for the misery and despair of both Gaea and Asura. He explains that he put Asura on a trial to choose him as the "new god" of Gaea, so that he can move on to other worlds under the false pretense of 'saving' them, implying that he is tired of having to look after Gaea.
When Asura denies and fights the god, he reacts in an extremely calm yet dissapointed manner, saying that he would have to destroy Gaea and make it anew, implying he has performed this process in the past. Even during its fight with Asura, he maintains a calm and patronizing manner towards the demigod, maintaining complete confidence in his abilities. However, as Asura continues to withstand its attacks and damage the god, he begins to display visible anger and frustration and his arrogance grows even further, resorting to increasingly more aggressive means to kill Asura. Eventually as he transforms into his final state and both combatants go all out in a fist-fight, Chakravartin starts to display an increasing degree of disbelief at the extent of the injuries it sustains, claiming to the end he is the one true god and that his commands must be followed.
Aerys II Targaryen[]
Aerys II Targaryen, also called the Mad King and King Scab, was the seventeenth and last member of the Targaryen dynasty to sit the Iron Throne, ruling from 262 AC to 283 AC. His children that lived to adulthood, by his sister-wife, Rhaella Targaryen, were Rhaegar, Viserys, and Daenerys.
Aerys showed great promise at the start of his reign, bringing peace and prosperity to the Seven Kingdoms, but later descended into insanity, caused by, amongst other factors, multiple miscarriages and stillbirths, the deaths of three sons, and a brief uprising known as the Defiance of Duskendale, in which he was held prisoner for half a year by a rebellious lord. His paranoia and cruelty grew out of control. He was eventually killed by a member of his own Kingsguard, Ser Jaime Lannister, during Robert's Rebellion.
Out of all the Kings to sit on the Iron Throne, none induced a level of tyranny, madness and especially cruelty as Aerys Targaryen did during his rule. Dubbed the Mad King, Aerys seemingly began as a benevolent ruler until he was overwhelmed by the so-called "Targaryen madness" brought on by an incestuous bloodline. As a result, he began displaying traits of intense psychopathy, insanity and sadistic intentions, exacerbated by hallucinations, schizophrenia and paranoia regarding his own claim to the Throne, to the point where he burnt anyone he believed was against him, until half of the people whom he ruled were already against him.
Like many Targaryens, such as his son Viserys, Aerys was obsessed with the self-conception that he was a dragon in human skin. In regards to this, he killed his victims in a similar manner that which a dragon would; burning them alive. Jaime Lannister once observed that he loved watching them char until their skin blackened, indicating he may have suffered from pyromania and this combined with sadism and hopeless delusions, spurred his already oppressive reign into complete tyranny. In a final bid where it appeared Robert Baratheon would take King's Landing, Aerys planted wildfire throughout the city, even the Red Keep where Aerys himself was staying. Not for one second, however, did he believe that it would result in his death, like his uncle Prince Aerion Targaryen, who killed himself by drinking wildfire. Instead, he thought he would be reborn as a dragon through a baptism by fire and burn his enemies in retribution.
Aerys's perceived lack of sanity and rational thinking seemingly caused his own death. Instead of listening to Varys or Jaime who warned him that Tywin Lannister possessed an ulterior motive when promising to defend his city for him, he only listened to the extremely sycophantic Grand Maester Pycelle who told him only what he wanted to hear. When he saw that Tywin tricked him, he foolishly ordered Jaime to execute his own father, confident that he would do so as no Kingsguard had ever disobeyed him before. Just before his death, however, Aerys showed shock and fear for the first time under his rule as Jaime approached him after killing his pyromancer. He even attempted to flee, proving that even he feared what all other tyrants cannot control nor escape; death.
In the television adaptation Game of Thrones he is played by David Rintoul who appears as the Mad King in flashbacks.
Night King[]
The Night King is the leader of the White Walkers, the very first of their kind, and the overarching antagonist of the TV series Game of Thrones. He existed since the age of the First Men. He is also the master of the wights. He is a creation of the television series and is not expected to appear in the A Song of Ice and Fire novel series.
In the TV series adaptation he is the apparent mastermind behind their coming invasion, and as such, he is the most dangerous threat to the Seven Kingdoms. He serves as a minor antagonist in Season 4, one of the secondary antagonists in both Season 5 and Season 6 and one of the two main antagonists of Season 7, alongside Cersei Lannister.
The religion of R'hllor claims that he and the Walkers are servants of an evil god of ice, archenemy of the Lord of Light, known as the Great Other. Red Priests claim that only Azor Ahai reborn can stop them and the Long Night that Never Ends. It is shown that the Children of the Forest created him as the very first White Walker to defeat the invading humans known as the First Men. The Night King himself was a First Man.
He is portrayed by Richard Brake in Seasons 4 to 5, and Vladimir Furdik from Season 6 onwards.
Killbus/Kamen Rider Killbus[]
Killbus is the king of the Blood Tribe and the main antagonist of the Kamen Rider Build NEW WORLD: Kamen Rider Cross-Z V-Cinema movie. He is the older brother of Evolt who comes to Earth following his brother's demise in search of Ryuga Banjou.
As a result of being the Blood Tribe's leader and the one who instigated their racial objectives, Killbus is also the overarching antagonist of Kamen Rider Build as a whole.
Like the others from the Blood Tribe, Killbus is cruel, deadly and destructive. However, in contrast to his younger brother Evolt, Killbus is less concerned with obtaining more power and more with just causing destruction, with his brother describing him as a "hedonist who loves to destroy". One trait Killbus does appear to share with Evolt is a casual and faux friendly demeanor, such as when Killbus greeted his brother after he returned and said that he's been "dying to meet [him]" again.
Killbus was voiced by Anri Katsu. As Satoshi Kakizaki, he was portrayed by Gaku Shindo, who is best known for his role as Sid Bamick/Special Duty Officer Barizorg from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. As Sento Kiryu, Killbus was portrayed by Atsuhiro Inukai.
Emperor Vitiate / Valkorion[]
Tenebrae—known to the Old Sith Empire as Vitiate, his reconstituted Sith Empire as the Sith Emperor, and his Eternal Empire as Valkorion—was an ancient dark side entity of enormous power who manipulated galactic affairs for 1,500 years. He is the primary antagonist of Star Wars: Old Republic as a whole.
Born in 5113 BBY as the illegitimate Sith son of Lord Dramath of Medriaas and a nameless peasant, Tenebrae was a soulless abomination of nature. As a child, Tenebrae tortured and murdered his mother and adopted father, then raised an army of followers as he slaughtered thousands of nearby villagers. When Lord Dramath set out to confront him, Tenebrae stripped away his father's power and locked his consciousness away. Eventually, the Dark Lord of the Sith Marka Ragnos recognized Tenebrae's power and christened as him as Lord Vitiate—the new ruler of Medriaas. Vitiate renamed the world Nathema and ruled it for the next century, distancing himself from Sith power struggles and the Great Hyperspace War. Following Naga Sadow's defeat and the Sith genocide on Korriban, Vitiate summoned the remaining Sith Lords to Nathema with the promise of salvation from the Jedi. However, Vitiate turned on them and, in an elaborate ritual, drained the life essence of the entire planet, increasing his powers and prolonging his life.
Shedding his identity as Lord Vitiate, the self-proclaimed Sith Emperor led the scattered Sith survivors on a twenty-year odyssey into the Unknown Regions where they established a new Sith Empire on the lost world of Dromund Kaas. The Emperor delved deep into the mysteries of the dark side as his people expanded the Empire's domain over the next thousand years. However, growing dissatisfaction with the Sith ideology led the Emperor to investigate and discover the hidden planet of Zakuul and the Eternal Fleet—an ancient armada with unprecedented technological capabilities. The Emperor transferred his essence into a Zakuulan warrior named Valkorion and built up a vast civilization known as the Eternal Empire. The Emperor desired total immortality to fully experience his new creation and expand it across galaxies without the threat of being killed. To achieve this, the Emperor would initiate a war between his Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. The deaths caused by the conflict would serve as fuel to initiate a new ritual far more potent than that on Nathema—a ritual that would allow the Emperor to consume almost everything in the galaxy and become an all-powerful god.
As the Emperor's plans neared completion, he manipulated the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders into attacking the Republic as a preliminary test invasion. The Mandalorians were defeated due to the efforts of two powerful Jedi Knights—Revan and Malak—who tracked down and discovered the Sith Empire on Dromund Kaas. The two confronted the Emperor, but their minds were dominated into becoming vanguards of his Sith invasion. However, Revan and Malak soon broke free from the Emperor's mind control and betrayed him—and each other—in the resultant Jedi Civil War that nearly destroyed the Jedi Order. Years later, a redeemed Revan returned to challenge the Emperor once more, and although Revan was defeated his near-success led the Emperor to pursue further safeguards against his death. If his body was ever destroyed, the Emperor's spirit would have had to travel across the void to inhabit the inactive body of Valkorion. In a weakened state, such an act would be difficult and threaten his spirit with total annihilation. Thus, the Emperor created multiple additional host bodies, known as the the Emperor's Voices, to ensure his survival through transferring his consciousness between them.
After his failed assassination attempt, Revan was imprisoned in stasis and tortured by the Sith. The Emperor ravaged his mind, seeking ancient secrets and using Revan as a conduit through which he saw visions. In return, Revan amplified the Emperor's fear of death, thereby prolonging the start of the Great Galactic War by three centuries. When the war finally erupted, the Sith Empire quickly took the offensive and, within three decades, successfully conquered Coruscant and destroyed the Jedi Temple. However, Revan influenced the Emperor—distracted by the births of his children on Zakuul—to sue for peace with the Republic instead of continuing the war, prompting the Treaty of Coruscant. After a decade, the uneasy truce collapsed and open warfare between the Jedi and Sith resumed again. The Emperor attempted to initiate his galaxy-wide ritual once more, but a powerful Jedi Knight known as the Hero of Tython thwarted his efforts and destroyed his Voice in battle on Dromund Kaas. With his other Voices destroyed throughout the war as well, the Emperor's wounded spirit was forced to anchor itself to a temple on the dark side moon of Yavin 4 and go into a long slumber.
Revan, freed from Sith captivity, attempted to resurrect the weakened Emperor to a physical form to permanently destroy him. A coalition of Imperial and Republic forces, believing Revan's meddling would result in the Emperor consuming the galaxy, defeated Revan before the ritual began. However, the Emperor's spirit fed off the death and chaos of the battle and reawakened. Rejuvenated, the Emperor went off and consumed the planet of Ziost to return to his full power.
Valkorion once more, he ordered his twin sons—Arcann and Thexan—to raid Republic and Imperial worlds to spur their ambition. A famous champion who led the coalition forces on Yavin IV and Ziost—later known as the Outlander—was captured by the Eternal Fleet and brought before Valkorion. Judging the Outlander alone to be a worthy advisory, Valkorion orchestrated his death at the hands of Arcann and embedded his consciousness within the Outlander's mind. The Outlander was imprisoned in carbonite by the Eternal Empire for five years as now-Emperor Arcann conquered the galaxy and subjugated both the Sith Empire and Galactic Republic under his rule. Once freed from captivity, the Outlander created the Alliance and led a revolution as Valkorion counseled and shaped the champion into a vessel of supreme power. The Outlander defeated Arcann, then his younger sister Vaylin, and disabled the Eternal Fleet. However, Valkorion revealed his true plan—that he had allowed his children to ravage the galaxy so that, once overthrown by the Outlander, he would take over the champion's body and command the galaxy as a heroic liberator. In a final clash of wills, the Outlander, aided by Valkorion's own family, overpowered the ancient entity, sending him into oblivion.

Diclonius DNA Voice[]
The Diclonius DNA Voice is arguably the Greater Scope Villain in the manga and anime series, Elfen Lied, and appears in both versions. its influence on the tragic events of the series is undeniable, though its true nature and origins are uncertain.
It isn't clear whether or not The Voice is a genetic trait shared by all Diclonii aside from just Lucy, or if it is a product of the torture most Diclonius individuals ends up subjected to during their lives. Nana heard a voice like this one when despondent over leaving her 'Papa' Kurama and taunted by Bando as having no place in this world; she briefly sought to kill him and everyone else. Later, after the viable Mariko clone named Barbara had been freed from an infantile state of control by Nousou, whom she then killed, she pursued Nana, seeing her as a traitor for living happily among humans. During the confrontation, she chastised Nana, asking why she wasn't heeding The Voice's directions since she must surely hear it.
While the actions of many Diclonii towards humans would seem to indicate an innate drive to kill, other factors mitigate the starkness of these seemingly automatic killing sprees. One such factor is the age that most Diclonii gain their vectors. Aside from Lucy, other Diclonii (only Silpelits at this point) first develop their vectors at around age three. Any child of this age using such destructive power would result in bloodshed, especially since toddlers are incapable of realizing the scope and gravity of their actions against the people around them. Another factor would be their treatment by their families as they grew. Silpelit children are fast-aging, looking almost twice as old physically as their real age so that they would stand out in any environment. The treatment they could receive from their families and immediate society could range from abandonment to a wary acceptance of their horns, making mistreatment a possibility.
It is arguable that these children need no drive to kill since a lack of understanding of their abilities plus potential abuse makes them apt to lash out in any event. Lucy certainly felt this urge to kill and replace humanity with her kind, sometimes stronger than others, but it's possible that due to the trauma and betrayals she faced, she suffered a schizophrenic breakdown and merely imagined what she considered a true 'DNA Voice' in the midst of her incredible mental pain. The Voice could have been a manifestation of her desire to make sense of the abuse she faced, providing an explanation for it all by saying she's not human and can remake the world with more people like her.
Nana and Barbara seemed to be able to hear this voice as well, which could potentially be explained by a DNA link. Similar to how Diclonii can sense the presences and even feel the emotions of other members of their species, it's likely Lucy could have telepathically broadcast her pain and rage out to others like her. However, this is unlikely since the dominant personality of Lucy's body was Nyuu during the times the other Diclonii experienced it, and Nyu has been noted not to possess a "Diclonius Aura," so to speak, like Lucy does. As suggested above, it's more likely all three experienced The Voice as a means of coping with the suffering they're dealt by humans and is a manifestation of their wish for vengeance. Supporting this is the tendency of The Voice to appear during times of alienation and suffering when the Diclonius feels they have no place in the world. To young Lucy, this grim feeling was the final acceptance of something she fought against her whole life. To Nana, it was a shock and surprise to a girl who thought of Kurama as defining her place in the world, but she regained and even supplemented this feeling when she became part of Maple House, only moving to violence when threats arose to her new home and family or Kurama. To Barbara, the alienation is reversed; she is happy to be a non-human, feeling that they and Diclonii who hold with them must be destroyed, and loudly shrugs off the idea that she should have some connection with her genetic father, Kurama.
The hold the DNA Voice has on individual Diclonii differs from one to the other, however. Kurama was able to kill Barbara with a gunshot he's almost sure she predicted, which can lead one to believe that despite her claim of hating humans, she rejected its orders to kill the genetic father she never really knew. When Nana nearly gave in to it while facing Bando, pain and the realization she was bleeding forced her out of its control. Lucy, despite giving in to its orders without much contest during her younger years, shows plenty of resistance to it as she comes to realize it's been the source of much of her misery. When she refused to kill people anymore, by her promise with Kouta at the Sea Candle, the Voice had to take over her body personally to keep her from dying thanks to Kurama. It had to forcibly take over again as she lay dying too since neither Lucy nor Nyuu's personalities were dominant at the time and it wished to see the destruction of humanity done. Nyuu's resistance of the Voice's will was the strongest. Even while being held captive by Chief Kakuzawa, she staunchly rejected the idea he tried to posit about her having no place with humans. Nyuu's use of her vectors was only ever in use as a defense, or lashing out as a result of her emotions and pain.
In the manga's finale, Kouta offers up an account of the Diclonii War that emerged from the plans of the late Chief Kakuzawa, but we see no mention of an inborn voice driving the Diclonii. If the Voice ever existed outside of an individual level, then either it moved on to these girls as they rose up, or it died with Lucy's body, regardless of whether it was real genetic instinct or her broadcasted pain. That raises the unanswerable question of whether these Silpelits during the war ran on this instinct or were wilder and more unfocused in their attacks because they had no guidance.
Barbatos[]
Barbatos is a major villain in the DC Universe and the Master of the Dark Knights he serves as the main antagonist of the Dark Nights: Metal event and of the entire New 52 Batman series, manipulating all of the events associated with the mantling of Bruce Wayne with the metals of the Dark Multiverse.
Many eons ago, Barbatos once served another powerful being who forged new worlds into existence from the hopes and fears of those in the Multiverse. Barbatos was tasked with destroying any malformed worlds that were unstable and destined to decay. However, he eventually kills his master and allowed these malformed worlds to exist, giving birth to the Dark Multiverse.
Barbatos would find himself becoming a resident of the Dark Multiverse after he was repelled from returning to the central one. Despite this, the dark god had still gained many worshippers within the central Multiverse. With some trying to summon him on worlds he was barred from returning to.
Many years later, when Batman shot Darkseid with a radion bullet at the end of Final Crisis, the New God retaliated by striking Bruce down with his Omega Beams, seemingly killing him. Earth's heroes mourned the loss of one of their finest, but in reality, Darkseid had not killed Batman. He had used his powers to warp time around Bruce, infusing him with Omega energy and sending him back to the Stone Age without any memory of who he really was.
During this time, Barbatos realised the similarities between his and Bruce's Bat emblems and believed he could use him as a doorway back into central Multiverse. Barbatos' followers manipulated events throughout history in order for Bruce to be injected with four out of the five metals needed to create the doorway, and after the fifth was injected in the present day, Barbatos was able to transport himself and the Dark Knights to Prime Earth with the intent of conquering it.
Barbatos was extremely cruel, despotic, deceitful, misanthropic and power-hungry, so he has no qualms enslaving, butchering and ultimately destroying entire dimensions and realities. Despite his murderous impulses, Barbatos was sly, cunning, manipulative and willing to wait in order to succeed in his schemes. Barbatos despises all form of life and happiness, so he wishes above all to plunge the central DC Multiverse into darkness, eradicating all life from it. Perhaps his biggest flaw is that he only knows one thing: destruction. In his eyes, he believes that all worlds are doomed to fall into darkness. To him, leaving the dark at all, to explore outside it, is the ultimate mortal sin.
